negative lucid dreams and the dream police

I read some old posts here about the possibility of astral/dream police, and I wanted to share my many many experiences with these entities and how they really make me mad, as well as hopefully evoke some responses that may enlighten me as to what the heck is going on in these experiences. Ok, let me start by explaining that I currently going through a possible paradigm shift as to what dreams are. As of before this possible shift, I have had the strict belief that I *go* into the dream *world* and I have no control over the environment, and that I can fly. Now, quite frequently I find that I have plopped down in some environment, and if I'm riding a negative wave, I'm engaging in negative things involving physical cravings of sex and drugs , and property damage evoked by rage and what not. In these instances, I eventually become (to use a word from a previous post that fits the description perfectly) targeted by a very formidable team of *police*. It is immensely obvious to me that they are intelligent, discarnate beings. It feels just like the matrix, in that they are very good at finding me. When they finally get me, and let me tell you I give them a run for their money, their primary interest is to wake me up. What they do is continuously poke me in tender areas such as the glands to the left and right of the throat, and they stick their fingers in my eyes and rub them quickly, and it is quite effective at waking me up. I'm writing this because the experience is so real and amazing that I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this , and validate the experience so that I don't feel like I've lost it. There are definitely astral police.
I just wanted to add one more thing. The reason I can give these astral police a run for their money is my ability to fly, and there inability to fly. In all the cases I can remember, they could not fly. What happens is that I give myself up because I am tired of running, and I just want them to leave me alone.

To me this clearly sounds like your subconscious mind manifesting as these "dream police" because you are doing things that are considered "wrong" to your true self and have unconscious feelings of guilt about it. Getting poked by this beings makes me think of the word compunction*. If you want to believe they are actual astral police or something then go right ahead, but if that were the case then I would have to ask why these dream police only seem to police you selectively? Also, who makes the laws?

      *compunction: –noun
      1. a feeling of uneasiness or anxiety of the conscience caused by regret for doing wrong or causing pain; contrition; remorse.
      2. any uneasiness or hesitation about the rightness of an action.

[C14: from Church Latin compunctiō, to sting, to prick severely ( com- com- + pungere to prick; compare point) + -iōn- -ion, from com- (intensive) + pungere to puncture; see point]

I feel ur pain, I have also had experiences with these police and have even had incursions with agents. My guess is they are an unconscious control system to keep ur boundaries in check.

perhaps it was manifested by your mind. Many people have characters they really believe are some other separate entity but end up discovering that they are only dcs and a part of themselves.

Thank you for your responses. Like I said in my post, I am possibly going through a paradigm shift. The dream world(s) continues to baffle me. My best guestimate as to what the heck goes on is that sometimes when I dream I'm actually in that dimension(an obe of sorts) , and sometimes I'm just plain dreaming. For years now, I have had the strict belief that I have no control over my dreams, and that is how I dream. I can float, but I can only float according to prescribed rules(it's always the same physical experience: how fast I can float up ,down, forward and such). I can't go through walls or anything. I can get hit with stuff, and it hurts. Actually, in getting away from some punks one time, while floating away they shot me from the ground, and it hurt just like I'd been shot. Now, I only encounter these astral police in these types of dreams, and when they apprehend me(you know , that moment when the popo throw those guys on tv down to the ground really hard) , it really hurts, and I get real mad. I'm taking your responses into serious consideration, and that would mean my entire belief system needs to be rehauled, but I ask of you whether it is possible that I am someone who might tend to dream in an obe type of setting more so than others.

When I am lucid dreaming, I still behave according to my personal ethics. So I do not destroy things for example.

It appears, that some people, when they are dreaming, they are leaving their private dream space to go to "public areas". But they still can create a dream scene to fit their expectations of dreaming. So in the astral/RTZ there might be people bashing around, thinking it is all their dream, but it is not. One thing to do to get rid of such a bothering dreamer, is to wake him up

But it could be just your own personal inner police. Maybe you should ask them next time.

Yes! That is exactly the way most of my dreams feel, like a public area. In all of these dreams there is no doubt in my mind that all other beings I meet there are actual other beings. I always do my best to stick to my physical world ethics. What else do you know of these public areas?

i think these dream police are projections of your subconscious, are your dc's (dream characters), not some 3rd part astral police thing. you can try fighting them but that might only temporarily solve the problem. best is to try talking to them, see [I]why[I] they are messing with you. also, do some reality checks in your dream and take control of your dream!

I definetly have fought many "dream police". Are they real or dc's, idk? Best way to deal with them is kill them.

I had encounters with the dream police before as well. It just so happens that they appear as I went through your "paradigm shift". Mypowers of control are still feeble, and the police presented a formidable opponent in this case. For me, there's the "swarm" type - faceless clone like entities that used to charge me in bulk, and the "super heroes". These lead the swarms or pursued me alone or in pairs.

At one point it stopped, as I stopped testing the boundaries of what was ethically acceptable. Most of the times police showed up in response to some senseless act of violence. Once I shot a bystander on a street just to see what would happen. A couple superheroes showed up and started to chase me, severely limiting my powers of manifestation and flight. Maybe this is a repressed feeling of paranoia, thinking that someone is always watching your every move. In a dream this may manifest itself as police. As for why they inhibited my powers I do not know.

As for the best way to deal with them, I could not fight the swarm, hiding from anyone in my dreams is foolish.
"Psychic invisibility" works - focus on the person and intend for that person to not see you.
Scene changing/teleportation works. I also had success with wishing some characters out of the scene (like dream reentry within a dream using the same scene).

Here's a snippet where I ran into these guys in a lucid

When I enter the next block, I see the road splits off. One way goes up a hill. The other one turns down. I remember Mornings Son had once seen a winding steep road that led down my house. I figured my house was up that way. As if on cue Two men from an intersecting street nearby began shooting at me with a gun each. They looked like Government agents. Black suit, boots and tie. They even had black sunglasses to boot. "Remote viewers!" I thought to myself. "How dare they interrupt my search for Asuka."

I look towards them, for a split second I'm unsure of how to kill them. As I look I either float fast or I am instantly teleported to where they are. I find myself crushing the windpipe of the one man's throat with my right hand, while simultaneously bludgeoning him in the head with his own gun. In a few seconds he's on the ground and not moving. no use beating a dead horse so I find myself at the other one killing him in the same fashion. He takes longer to kill, but once he's dead some of his blood is on my hand. I lick it up. I teleport to my bike and continue. The fight had me forget my reasoning of my house being up on the hill, So I turn left down a wide winding street and enter a street with rows of stores and restaurants.

A few month ago I was in a lucid dream talking to some DCs about how to predict the future in dreams when some police officers overheard and told me to put my hands up.
I said to them that it was my dream so I didn't have to. But the police were very demanding and forceful, so I did what they said.

I should have stood my ground better, or fought back, or just ignored them.

Swarm attacks are very powerful. To combat them I have silver centipedes that climb out of a hole in my chest, and crawl over my body eating any swarm creatures.

Dream Police - Cheap Trick - YouTube

Authoritarian government agents seem to me to be the natural counterpart of the anarchist/bohemian that tries to get away with whatever he desires without thinking about the effects on other people. They're like the left and right hand of the same disfunctional god. This seems to me to be true in dream as well as in life.

I think that if you get attacked by police in dreams, it usually suggests your psyche is at war with itself. I doubt you will encounter police in your dreams if you change the part of you that would try to defeat or evade what you are capable of knowing to be right. I'm not talking about law or ethics, what people agree to pretend is right. I mean your own emotional honesty, the sincerity that's the difference between cruelty and compassion, or aggression and courage.

According to the Invisbles there might be coverment/illuminannanati agents inflirating our dreams. Their main target is to product-place commercials for consumatic lifestyle to stop people seeking the true answers, true happines and cognitive freedom. They might start to harrash you and prevent you to getting to yor goal by dry spells, dull entertainment dreams that keep you happy but don't get you 'there' and by making your waking life nice interestingish loop that prevents you from remembering your questions and if you push deeper they might even reveal themshelves. Of course this was all a comic, but this maybe was also a metaphore of some thruths out here.
+ According to the Invisibles tis's all a resque mission and there's no 'them' that don't have 'us' inside of 'dem'. So the main point is to inflirate their dream, go through their scenarios and try to understand them, heal them, feel their inner yearning and relishe it. Cause (according to the comic) we're all Invisibles, we're inside the non-existent-conspiracy and this is all a rescue mission

so try to dream about being lone shellfish man in power, trying to make world into your image. Being in power, controlling the world like fucking cold ickeishreptile. Get into role, and some point you'll recall your true being and become an inside agent inside this dreamRPGish double agent (fictional!) scenario. There you'll find keys to their dream controlling machinery and use it to broadcast freedom into dreaming. That machinery doesn't even exist in our real world (some nutcase crackhead might claim that they still affect here)

this is just a mind games scenario so don't take it too seriously. Don't take anything anyone says as the truth. And to lecture even more if there's something you can't turn around with humour and comic perspective, you're not fully understanding the power of laughter (even dark humour) and jesters

I think Nina has a good point about expectations and manifestations of guilt.

On the other hand, if you really believe that these beings are not part of your own mind, have you considered that one or more of them may be a dream guide or spirit guide to you?

Personally I've never had any run-ins with astral police, and I don't believe in them. I do have run-ins with guides who act similarly to your descriptions.

Some people do, some people don't, some people have had experiences that have lead them to question whether its possible or not, some people are just curious. Thats fine if you don't believe in it, but to make it sound like you think people who believe in this are crazy is actually not open minded at all. I mean unless people were claiming that they had 4 heads and tentacles. Then you could consider them crazy.

Questioning has two sides to it, questioning things that are just blindly accepted, and questioning things that are just blindly dismissed.
