Shadow people?

Has anyone ever seen what they call a shadow person? I have, twice. First I saw a shadow man, in full view, which looked like he was wearing a hat, outside my house in the early hours of the morning when no one was about. The second time was when I was in hospital, only this time it was a fleeting glance out the corner of my eye. From what I did see, the figure appeared kind of androgynous with shoulder length hair that curled up at the end. Some people say their figments of our imagination, the result of sleep deprivation or sleep paralysis. Others say they could be demons, aliens, angels, ghosts or the spiritual bodies of astral travelers. I‘m not really sure what to think. I know everyone says this but I did not imagine what I saw. None of the above symptoms really apply to me but I can’t believe that it was some supernatural being either. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this and what their thoughts were?

I experienced something like this only once. When I was 7 (I think), I saw a fully silhouetted man, in broad daylight, staring right at me for a few seconds, before taking off down a hill impossibly fast. Never encountered anything like it since.

Once, yes. I woke up, it felt like there was someone sitting on my bed. They got up and walked out of my room, towards my parents' room. I couldn't see much, since it was dark, so it really was just a shadow. I thought it was one of my parents, but the next day, they said they hadn't come to my room, so... My cousin and a friend of ours saw a shadow when we were dancing after having pizza. We were like... 12, we lived in a building that had a room for parties (like birthdays or Christmas), and we got it that night just for us kids. We had our pizza and then we put some music on. The lights were out, cause it was the cool thing to do, I guess, and then suddenly my friend stopped dancing and sat down. One minute later, so did my cousin. To this day, I have no idea if they really saw what they said they did, or if it was just a prank. I don't think they're THAT good at acting, though, so I'm willing to believe them... they were both really pale and shaking a little.

Saw dark black energy ball in my OBE, it was pulsating and sounded like electricity, touched it and it was vibrating and then i woke up and it was still there, i touched it again and i felt vibrations again and got really scared. I think 2nd time it was FA, or maybe not, because i do not remember how i really woke up. Screamed as loud as i could because i knew my friends were right next room. But no shadow mans, i believe that you saw shadow man because you read about him and your mind created it for you.

My newborn son was laying in cot at side of my bed. 3am I woke with my fist clenched, and ready to strike at a strange figure leaning over, looking at him. Never in my life have I woken up instantly before. The figure looked at me, and spoke with my wifes gentle voice "Shush, Its ok, you can go back to sleep" I laid down again, and went back to sleep. In the morning, my wife said she had not been out of bed all night. Where the figure had been standing was a chair, and it would have been impossible to stand there.

I'm gonna say something controversial, unproven and what might be judged as pseudo science: It's in human dna to translate certain energies into "shadow people", from a certain point of view they are simply a part of yourself that you see reflected in altered states. They have no agenda unless you give them one, but at the same time, it's in our dna to give them an agenda.

Yeah I feel you man, when I was 6 or 7 I would see a shadow person known to many as "The Hat Man". I saw him whenever Id awake at night. It was wierd like I had no intention of waking up, Id just know. Many times Id wake up Id look to my doorway and see this shadow person. He/it would stand there and watch me for however long he/it wanted to. Then when it was done watching me it would slowly walk away back to my hallway. Ive also experienced theings like hearing footsteps in my room(my room has a carpet ground) so it was always easy to hear them. At times I would also hear my name as plain as day. I never imagined these things and I was never tired when they happened. I havent seen anything else since then and now im 16. Im just waiting for a shadow person to come so I can see if it bleeds, Im gonna try to fight it next time I see one.

When I used to live in a trailer in 2011-2012 where I experienced strange things. It started out as a very loud band on the outside of my trailer. I assumed it was a nut maybe falling out of a tree, so the next morning I checked outside and I had no trees close enough to drop something on my trailer, not to mention none of the trees anywhere near had any nuts in them. It kept happening every night so I started keeping track of the time and it turned out that it would happen around the same time each night. It was loud enough to make me and my cat jump from alarm. The only other explanation for it would be if someone threw a rock at my trailer, but who would come around the same time every night to throw a single rock at the same exact spot each night for 9 months. A couple months into living there I was laying down trying to make myself go to sleep. After about 30 minuets of trying I gave up and opened my eyes when I saw a shadow figure standing next to my bed, looking down at me. I screamed my head off which woke up my boyfriend next to me. When I screamed it disappeared and I told my boyfriend what had happened. He got freaked out and said he saw something just like that not long ago. I started sleeping in the living room because it seemed to only be seen in the bedroom. One night I was watching tv when my cat started growling. I have never herd him growl before and looked to see what was wrong. He was laying down in the entrance hallway, that also led from the bedroom, staring up towards the front door. I didn't see anything but he started growling louder then let out a threatening hiss and started to stand up. He kept growling for a minuet or so before calming down, then laid back down and went on with his cat life. That was the only time he's ever growled at nothing. About 5 minuets after my cats growling I herd a male voice whisper very clearly into my ear. I understood what it said but have forgotten what it was. When I told my boyfriend the next morning he went out and got a recorder to do some evps. We turned off all the lights one night and sat in the living room and started asking questions. Most of the questions went unanswered but when I asked the question "what is your name" it answered "greg". Then I asked "what do you want" and it answered "bill". My boyfriend was talking to our landlord the next day and asked about the other people who lived around us. He knew everyone around and one of the names he said was a guy named bill lived at the bottom of the hill. I was officially convinced that something was in my trailer. I kept hearing noises around the house after that but I never did anything more about it except sleep in the living room the rest of the time we lived there.

I *think* I saw a shadow-person once, about 10 years ago or so. I say I think because I'm unsure as to whether to classify the entity I saw as a Shadow Person or simply a ghost. But I had awoken in my bedroom (and yes, I really was awake, even though any skeptic would at this point say I was still half-asleep), when I saw a figure sitting in the chair at my desk. (I, like Dark, used to live in a trailer, and at that time my desk was near the foot of my bed). So, I get up and see this shadowy figure just looking at me. That's it. Now, it was dark (not pitch black, but dark), and the figure was like a silhouette. For a few moments I stared at it, and it stared at me; then I jumped out of bed, ran to the light-switch, flipped it on. When I turned around, the figure was gone. Ghost or Shadow-person? When I was little I saw what could be described as a shadow person. I was sleeping over at a relative's house and when I woke up I saw a very large shadow approach me. It got closer and stood by my feet and bent down over me. I started screaming and kicking. Mom turned on the light, and of course she said I was dreaming. But I know wasn't because I was fully awake.

Before that time I saw the hat man I had never seen or heard or read anything about walking shadows (especially none in hats) except when I read peter pan years ago, but trust me this was a lot different. I only started reading about the shadow person phenominom after the two times I'd seen them. I'm also quite positive I've never hallucinated anything in my life. I'm also not entirely certain that I am the only person in my neighborhood who has seen them. Okay when I say person I actually mean cat. I was out for a walk one night just trying to clear my head. I was walking down this long and narrow path that led to a park, though I had no intention of going into the park. Even though no one was there I didn't want to risk running into trouble. On one side of the path was an empty secondary school and on the other was a row of fences surrounded by small trees. There were also a couple of streetlights casting an orange glow. I never ventured further than the streetlight nearest the road. As I stood there, a fluffy looking tabby cat passed by. I knelt down and managed to get his/her attention. I obviously didn't check but my gut said the cat was a girl. Even though she belonged to someone I named her snuggles as she kept snuggling against my leg and rubbing her face on my knee. She was just innocently rolling around on her back, having the time of her life when something changed, something I wasn't aware of. She instantly sprang onto her feet, crouched down and hissed at the trees covering the fence. I couldn't see or hear anything but she apparantly could. After that she stopped hissing but she didn't move from her crouched position, neither did she look away. The trees were too close to the fence for any human or animal to slip through. Till this day I still don't know what she was hissing at but suddenly an awful premonition spread through me and I moved further into the light. I know it sounds silly but I didn't leave immediately because I liked being around snuggles but soon however it got too much and I left. I don't know if this really counts as a shadow person sighting, it's just that I found it quite unusual.

Either fight, or embrace what you do not yet know.

I'm used to people assuming, like me, that they are some kind of ghosts, not reflections of oneself, the dark side that everyone has to them. I get SP a lot but I've only experienced shadow people once when I was trying to get out of body. They started coming out the ceiling and walls and one shadow woman came and sat on my stomach where I was trying to get out. I just about managed to keep a calm state of mind and ignore her but I couldn't get out and then I woke up. I prefer to think that they're just the darkest reflections of me, because that's not as scary as saying that they're negative entities such as ghosts and demons and such. I'm agnostic though. Some things are just too weird to be able to explain logically.

Hi, Not sure we are talking about the same thing when you say "shadow people", but I have experience shadowy small figures. The first story was many years ago, I was living with a person that at that time was on the verge of dying. That's when these shadow figures appeared to her. I couldn't not see them even though she told me the were in the same room. Almost every day they came. Well, this person didn't die even though her doctor said she was dying and it could be soon. She recovered and shortly the shadow figured disappeared and never returned again for her. The second story is when I saw shadowy figures. Actually 2 different stories. In the first story, and many years later, I was close of dying and that's when these shadow figures appeared in my apartment. They zoomed by me so it was impossible to see any detailed. That lasted for a few weeks. After that, I had healed myself and no more shadow figures around. The other time I saw these shadow figures was many years later under completely different circumstances. I had been watching lots of ghost stories on TV for many months. And from nowhere odd ghostly things started to happen in my house, like I saw a clear vision of a woman in the mirror. And then these same shadowy figures appeared in the house. They were very short and extremely fast. After a few weeks more and more of them appeared. Nothing of harm really happened but I wanted to put an end to it anyway. I cleansed the house one evening and after that everything was back to normal and they never returned. So with these stories, I personally believe that the shadow figures can be different entities and not necessarily all from the same dimension. One possibility is that they are loved ones who come to you in preparation for you to cross over to the other side. I also think that these shadow entities can also be of ghostly nature. Boson

Learn to count your inhales and exhales....thats totally important I was helped by two monsters, they are extremely similar to bald guys with pointy ears very strong and 1000 teeth ..they look exactly like the two protectors of heaven (budha) These guys taught me how to fight....and how to control gravity on the other side thing is.......it seems you must know how to control your fear and your anger....whenever in a deep shit situation you must activate your anger and override the fear.....use it and gravity will fade away.....you will be able to jump from one building to another. I once fought the hatman with my hands but he won...he simply froze the whole room and no molecule could move.....he looked me into my eyes (he is eyeless) and said: Dont worry, Im like you...... He could be associated with Morpheus maybe.....the king of dreams....because he in many dreams I had faked to be people to hurt my feelings and see how I would react....I realized it wasnt dreams I was having but projections of my fears....every fucking day.....When I suddenly realized that it stopped...meaning I had understood my lesson.. So in fact this guy is something...and whatever he is...its not an hallucination...its not a demon (we are the demons no need to try to understand that anymore the planet will show you what we did to it), and its not an alien? Or is it? Is it a 4th dimension being? Because he can transform from shadow to 3d and back to shadow.....he controls the molecules movement and he can paralyze you,.... its a lot of "powers" for a shadow isnt it? Why the hat? Is it a machine? What does it do? Many questions remain and few are "answered".....I bet you the CIA already knows more than we wish we did....They have control of all cameras in the world and electrical inputs and outputs also serve as mini cameras and microphones....you all just dont know this....So they can access all of them and see the hatman in action while you sleep....Now that we have iPods and iPhones all around the house, they can more easly see through different angles .....and with more tech....so for sure they have a better answer to this question than we do....Thing is they havent pronounced a word about it...so thats not good...or is it?

i know this is an old thread but i had encounter when i was a teenager i was not spiritual religious superstitious had no knowledge of this stuff when it happened. I was sleeping and i watched this shadow walk down the stairs all the way to my beside and stood there staring down at me I thought it was my sister and said wtf you doing? I realized it wasn't her and this instant feeling of dread overwhelmed me instantly felt drained passed out and fell asleep. That night i had dreams of sliding across the walls and floors very weird.

Sometimes I see something like black people in my OBEs, they don't like my aura I also saw something like dark clouds going after sleeping people while I was in OBE... Again, it doesn't like my aura and I was able to ward attacked people.

I can see and feel shadow people in the awakened state of consciousnesses as they enter into my soul body. I see anywhere from 3 to 10 per week that come form every where in the veil. I am always looking for the shadows, they are the reason I spend my time online, I do this to find them and to help them become themselves again. They can shape shift, they can speak with other people's voices, they can look like what ever you want at any time.....They originally walk as black smoke shadows similar to the one in "Lost (tv series)", and some people feel dread when near them. Sometimes I see something like black people in my OBEs, they don't like my aura You mean like african americans? I'm sure they go out of body too! Perhaps you have a white hooded aura. I have usually encountered shadow entities (large black humanoid silhouettes) in the dimensions closest to the physical world, more so in my earlier travels, as I usually don't project to these lower dimensions anymore. Many times one of them would be waiting for me as I left my body. I learned to ignore them, as they initially would invoke a fear response within me that thwarted some of my first attempts at OBE. Later in my travels, I was once approached by a small group of them in what I believe was the astral. One of them touched my arm and an immense surge of blissful energy exploded through my entire energy body! It was so intense that I experienced this energy on many different levels of my self simultaneously (difficult to explain, more something that has to be experienced to understand). It's hard to say what the true nature of these beings is. Could they be manifestations of one's fears? Could they be independent sentient beings with intelligence and purpose? Sure, why not? I've never communicated directly with one that I know of, although I have communicated with unknown beings while in sleep paralysis and in other deeply altered states of consciousness while still "in" my body, so who knows.
