Morning of January 23, 2017. Monday. I am wandering around near an area near the shopping mall. There are a number of people who are involved in some sort of publicity relating to Godzilla and a particular store (or perhaps the entire mall). I walk through the hall of the shopping mall at one point and I am annoyed by seeing three people approaching me who are all in unusual oversized Godzilla costumes (though a few other people are in human-sized Godzilla costumes), though not really looking like any typical movie version of Godzilla. They are about twice as tall as me so I assume that they are wearing stilts and have features within their costumes for more control of the larger arms and such. They do not really regard me directly though I know they are there to annoy people with some sort of promotional gimmick. One Godzilla costume is meant to convey the idea of rocky skin (somewhat like the Thing from “Fantastic Four”). Another is a purplish color with polka dots. One has mixed elements of lion and clown, with a sort of mane that seems akin to a wide clown outfit collar. I have an uncomfortable feeling that it will be difficult to shop anywhere in the region with all these annoying promoters. There is one scene where I see someone (unknown) watching a Godzilla movie on a narrow wall between two hallways, but the man playing Godzilla is somehow directly talking to the viewer. I get the impression he can even stick his head out of the implied screen unless some sort of holographic technology is involved. (In this case, the Godzilla head is about the size of a human head, unlike the large costumes.) I wonder if the viewer is going to allow himself to be attacked or “eaten” for entertainment purposes. I later find myself in a beautiful area near a marsh, eventually within a forest with dense shrubbery. I begin to relax and explore. However, one of the people who are wearing Godzilla costumes comes to where I am, though does not find me. He looks near a large shrub but cannot see me. This time, the costume seems about three times bigger than me but the size does not bother me (and does not even seem a factor). Finally, I focus on the nature of gravity. Water seems to run uphill. This is very puzzling. Josh Holloway (the actor from “Lost”) is present. Some small rivulets of water that flow upwards on the wall form a tree-like pattern. I see something very unusual and point to it. At first, I think it might be more water moving upwards along a wall but it turns out to be the glow of the plastic wrap over a new toy cap gun still on the card and somehow stuck on the wall. Josh is also apparently annoyed by all the people in weird Godzilla costumes. Several more (unknown) people appear and we explore a large public bathroom (which may be abandoned). I look at the sink and notice water flowing upwards in the side of the basin. Later, we manage to evade a person in a Godzilla costume as he only looks around in the first section of the bathroom.

Morning of September 5, 2016. Monday. I find myself in an unusual balanced composite (more integrated than usual) of my Cubitis family home and the Barolin Street house (to where the Barolin Street house’s porch is integrated with my Cubitis bedroom in atypically smooth orientation). I have a large hardcover book which seems to be meant to be a notebook yet has the look of a novel. I am aware that Godzilla is approaching from the west (Cubitis orientation) and will reach the house within a short time. I am clearly focused and write in the book how Godzilla will not damage the house and will pass by without destruction. As I write with a pencil, more like making annotations above my previous writing at some points, I hear Godzilla approaching. Soon, he is somehow in the house but only about as tall as the ceiling. He does not bother me and instead, ducks down and goes through the doorway. He turns to the left and shuffles through another doorway after hunching down. No damage is done. I find this interesting but I also realize that he may come back in his full size and with a more monstrous presence depending on how I write the events in the book I have. I get the sense of there being an island in the distance (northeasterly), which Godzilla will mostly destroy all the buildings on, yet I am not focused on the idea of a body of water separating it from the region where the house is. I write about how Godzilla will march in a rectangular path so that he will eventually come back from the same direction, but supposedly not near the house. I walk to an area that is like an underground cavern but still seems part of the house (and “actually” above ground). In Cubitis orientation, this cavern would open to the north and is probably analogous to the hallway of that house with a vague bilocation. An unknown dark-haired female approaches me from the mouth of the cave while holding a pillow horizontally (obvious dream sign) with a black gemstone with an emerald cut sitting horizontally on it. It is about six inches long. This character seems like an odd composite of Xena and Kira from “The Dark Crystal”. (There is an association with my wife Zsuzsanna here. Her middle name is Gabrielle, which is also Xena’s friend’s name. Kira is also the name of a “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” character and “Star Trek” featured in another dream of today.) She seems very concerned about the supposedly inevitable approach of Godzilla and yet is also wondering if the crystal should ever be used to control such creatures, as it is implied to be of great power and may fall into the wrong hands. She talks about hiding it instead, so that no one would ever be able to use it for anything. “It doesn’t matter at all,” I say. “I can control everything in the universe with this book. In fact, I made everything in the universe.” The girl eyes me curiously while seemingly dismissing that the crystal has any consequential aspect at all but seems puzzled and somewhat wary about being an entity I had created or she may be uncertain how I may shape events concerning Godzilla’s approach towards her people or alternate world. I wake before writing any more. This was interesting in that I had total control by what I wrote in the book yet was not even slightly lucid at any point. A book represents the nature of consciousness (or the transmuted conscious mind within the dream state) and the critical thinking skills on the conscious identity side of liminal space. A pillow is an obvious dream sign, not at all a symbol, that is, a residual memory of having fallen asleep (as is a bed and being undressed in public). The crystal seems to symbolize focused lucidity here (as it is dark and sits on the pillow and thus is analogous to the sleeping mind), yet full dream control is still present without lucidity or even a greater perceptual clarity. As Kira has wings and is a muppet, this is an atypical form of the otherwise very common “return flight” waking metaphor which also reflects the artificial nature of the dream state (and a puppet or muppet obviously represents potential dream control). The cave represents the dreaming side of liminal space (or the depths of the unconscious while sleeping) and thus on the primary level the emergence of the female character symbolizes my wife Zsuzsanna waking up next to me. Godzilla was the base coalescence metaphor (dream-swallower for the return to whole consciousness yet also represents heartburn in this case which I had to a small degree after waking, especially as Godzilla hunches down with his left paw on his stomach at one point), yet something within my dream self focus was able to shape my dream differently without being lucid.
Morning of October 19, 2015. Monday. In my dream, there is a hidden tab in my Internet browser. The hidden tab is behind another tab near the center of the sequence of tabs across the top. I wonder if there have always been hidden tabs as such. What could they be? I barely see the left edge of the previously undiscovered tab, but there is enough there to sort of “pull” it out to the left (using the mouse) from the visible tab (which is for the dream journal website). I see enough of the tab to see that the title is “ambiance”. It opens to an image only (rather than an implied website). It is a view from the sky, though from a distance, of a radio tower. The contrast is so light, it is fairly pale. For some reason, I think of Godzilla as approaching (from my perspective in the foreground). I do not see Godzilla but I do ponder his eventual appearance on other pages, though this never actually happens. A lot of VSTs for music production have settings related to ambient music, which is what at least partly influenced the appearance of the word. This dream is autosymbolic of the typical thinking skills correlation with the radio tower being the emergent consciousness factor (as autosymbolism for communication between the isolated fictitious ephemeral dream self and the real conscious self identity as in waking life). The association with Godzilla is liminal awareness of the RAS modulation factor, but which is not initiated (likely due to my liminal awareness and my advanced knowledge of the dream state). The view from the sky is a static association with the otherwise usual vestibular system correlation. In many past dreams that were a result of liminal dream control, Godzilla had featured, typically in a faux chase scenario for entertainment purposes.

Morning of June 30, 2015. Tuesday. I am vaguely aware of the newest “Godzilla” movie playing at an outdoor sports event (and seemingly going on for at least two or three days without showing any part of Godzilla), but this is not my main dream focus, which may be shifted to a different one. I am hovering or at least viewing a scene possibly over the surface of the ocean. I am not sure of the size orientation, as I seemingly view a glimpse of a partially submerged Godzilla. After a very short time, I realize that it is not Godzilla’s back, but the back of a (normal-sized) hedgehog swimming through the murky water - with the size reference being much smaller. This error seems to have been caused by light from my right side briefly interfering with my vision. In afterthought, it dawns on me that Godzilla’s back does not at all undulate as it should above the water’s surface, which seems to be the case in the real movies as well. This causes me to briefly reflect that it may not be a hedgehog either, but someone dragging seaweed (or possibly a dead turtle covered with seaweed) through the water with a small motorboat for whatever reason.
Morning of September 19, 1971. Sunday. In my dream, I am seemingly in Burns Park in La Crosse where I have not been in real life since early 1967. The setting is larger than in real life though, as well as with a more rural feel. Some of this dream seems to have monochrome scenes, which is extremely rare for me (though another dream in which King Kong appeared also had seemingly black-and-white scenes). In the park, Dick Van Dyke is casually telling me the history of the two movie monsters in a somewhat “realistic” way, and it seems we have a few different meetings over time, including walking along in a peaceful Autumn scene and sitting on a park bench for a time. He seems to have a walking cane during at least a couple of the meetings but not all. This was possibly influenced by his role as the narrator in the 1970 television airing of “Born Free”. He even relates the supposed “personality” traits of King Kong and Godzilla; a sort of comparing and contrasting discussion; and he does this quite cheerfully and patiently as my dream unfolds. There is actually no threatening appearance by either of the giant monsters. Again, there is mostly a sense of peace and cheerfulness, even optimism. In real life, when I had seen a black-and-white picture based on the “real” King Kong (from the original “King Kong” movie) superimposed with Godzilla (from an issue of “Famous Monsters of Filmland”) to falsely imply that King Kong was not actually a silly-looking man in a costume in “King Kong vs. Godzilla” (as well as being much lager than he originally was, so that even Fay Wray, held by Kong, appears as gigantic, even bigger than a skyscraper) I somehow expected something more “realistic” regarding the movie. When I remarked on my memory of the magazine picture later, I commented “I like the dragon” (just to make conversation, really). Classmate Steve J nodded as we were leaving the classroom, and he said, “Uh-huh, that’s Godzilla” and I felt a bit embarrassed for not having said “Godzilla” even though Steve did not seem that condescending about what I had said. Later on, when I actually watched “Kingu Kongu tai Gojira” or “King Kong vs. Godzilla“ in English (made in 1962 and apparently first released on the 26th of June, 1963 in America) on television, with my father, we laughed uproariously through much of it.
