      Thanks, Lindz!! <3

And yeah, What Dreams May Come was great. It's been a while, since I've seen it, though. Might have to find it, again!

Nice one Greg. Perfect detail imagery as always, really puts the images in my mind. Loved What Dreams May Come by the way.

Thanks! I've had a few VR game/video environments seep into my dreams, now and then. Nothing too specific or significant, but there is definitely an imprint. Not much different than with general gaming, though, so far.

Nice LD! Have you found any dreaming side effects of using VR?

      Thanks, Dreamer!
I certainly did. Some of the failures were frustrating, but I did get to experience a lot, and the overall dream was very memorable. So I really have no complaints! Lol.

Such a cool dream, OZ! It seems like you had a lot of lucid time, too, even though there were some slight interruptions with scene changes.
I'm glad you got to experience so many interesting things - superpowers, artistic surroundings, and sexytime with the hot inked girl.
We'll see what Hukif thinks about the status of the dare, but I would consider this dream to be a success regardless of whether the dare is officially completed. It sounds like you had a great time!

Makes sense why it would work for gaining lucidity; the contrast between the two worlds are enhanced. This might work well for WILD's too, no?

Sounds like a cool idea. I have an alarm that requires me to do a math problem before I can set it to snooze or dismiss it. I've noticed dreams are better after I've shut it off and gone back to sleep. I sort of thought it had to do with the fact that I'm not dead tired, so more energy can be devoted to dreaming objectives but who knows. Might be the logic center waking up a bit more. I'll give it a go and see if it helps. Thanks.

It was! I actually would like to paint the scene where I was flying and watching him jump around, one of these days! I've been going over the idea, in my head, all morning.

That dream sounds like it was a lot of fun. Especially the part where you watch him in action.(^ w ^)
I took off into the (still night) sky, leaving Spider-Man to his anti-social self.
Lol Spiderman is too much of a good guy even in the dream.

Here is where I had first mentioned it (top of the page):
      10/23/2014 - "Inception-Style" - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

I haven't really had a chance to go looking for the thread where I'd first read it (I'm pretty sure it was DV, but I don't know), because it was quite a while after first reading the proposal, before I was able to give it a shot.

But, basically, you do the normal WBTB method, but while you're awake, you do some brain teasers or logic-related puzzles. That way, the 'logic center' in the brain - which is normally dormant while we're dreaming - gets a bit of a jump start. The intention is to keep it a little more active, when you drift back off to sleep, so that your ability to recognize the dream state will be greater than if you'd just 'coasted' through your short awakening before WBTBing.

Makes sense to me, and when I posted it on Facebook, somebody mentioned that they tend to have better chances at LDing when they wake up and do study math for a short period.

I'm always down for some reliable lucid inducing techniques. Where can I learn more about this method?

Maybe next time you can fight Spidey when he was wearing the Venom costume. Sort of an evil Spider-Man. You can pretend you are rescuing him from himself!

Yeah, I think there is some truth to that. I think that's why I ended up asking him to spar, rather than flat-out fight. I was probably trying to keep some element of "not fighting a good guy" in there. Funny that my subconscious threw a villain at me, anyway, when Spider-Man didn't want to fight. In any other situation, I would have faced the villain, but I wanted to get the dare done, so I followed Spider-Man. Lol.

My problem is that I'm a total 'good guy', by nature, so it's hard for me to get really dastardly and villainous.
Sometimes the problem can be that your subconscious does not want you to create a violent scenario, particularly with someone who is generally seen as a good guy. Maybe Spidey didn't attack you because you precieve him as a hero and he would prefer not to resort to violence to hurt someone and knows he can take anything you can dish out.

I really like the idea of fighting superheroes in lucid dreams though.

Also, I was trying to kinda 'be the villain', by instigating a fight with him, but I should have went further. My problem is that I'm a total 'good guy', by nature, so it's hard for me to get really dastardly and villainous. Even when it's in a lucid dream. Lol.
