The Dream Adventures of MadMonkey

I didn't really wake up during my 5am WBTB. I might need to make my alarm later in the morning. My dreams have been very challenging to dream journal lately from forgetting it all at the last minute of waking up and the dreams being very unusual. This time I will do my best to journal the whole dream. Maybe if I journal more for the comp my dreams will become more logical.

SpringCompetition 2024 Night 2 (NLD) 03.31.2024

I am visiting Japan with one my nephews, two friends, and a DC girl that in the dream I had a crush on but doesn't exist in my real life. We have a really nice AirBNB. It has Japanese style achitecture. We make ourselves at home and find that the shared quarters have a Karate dojo in the middle of it. There is a retro style video game that is somehow connected to the plot. Like maybe we are there for a tournament or confrence for the game and the AirBNB is paid for by the game company. We play the game for a while and it is a side scrolling platformer. It's pretty fun!

An official person comes to our AirBNB and says we did something against the rules in the game. They say that they are there to punish us. There is a long conversation where I try to figure out why they are here interspersed with scenes in the future of us being tortured! My nephew then finds blood on the floor at the corner of the dojo mat. I tell my nephew someone probably got hurt sparring but he things we are all doomed.

I meditated for 45 minutes last night and slept really well.

Winter Competition 2024 Night 12 (NLD) 01.18.2024

I am in my reoccurring post-apocalyptic setting and with a group of rebels. A mind flayer was summoned to our world on a mission to kill us all. In the dream we didn't know what a mind flayer was and it was really scary. We just knew it was an alien hell-bent on our demise. We hunkered down in a base and set up traps. I don't remember how that went when it showed up but we defeated it only for a second mind flayer to show up later.

Somehow the dream transitioned later to a school setting and I asked a girl I had a crush on out on a date.

I woke up for a WBTB and took 4mg galantamine and 300 mg Alpha-GPC.

Winter Competition 2024 Five (MILD) 01.11.2024

I spontaneously become lucid and start flying. I remember there is a competition and that I need to do my three step task. While flying I reach behind my back and grab something. I pull forward a small lemon. I take a bite out of it and it isn't very flavorful. I then put my hand forward like Superman and fly super fast. I hear the air rushing past my ears. Now I remember my personal goal is to take off a VR headset that is simulating the dream. I reach up and feel a vr headset that is much smaller than current waking life products. I take it off and... nothing happens. My view is replaced with the same view from before. Huh.

I fly down to a city and get caught up in a dream plot that I have mostly forgotten now.

I had a lot more dreams than this but I only remember the part where I was most lucid.

Winter Competition 2024 One (DILD) 01.07.2024

I am lucid and flying over a futuristic city. I have to find a kitten that went missing. I fly down to one of the tops of the buildings and found it hiding. I pick it up and then interact with some DCs. Unfortunately I can't remember much more than that.

I took a nap to try and get a lucid for the competition and managed to get a DEILD chain.

Teleportation Failures (DEILD) 09.11.2023

I am in a home I don't recognize now but in the dream it felt familiar. It is dark inside and I leave my house to find it sunset. For some reason I know my internet friend R lives in the same neighborhood and I start walking to his house. I wake up.

I feel myself in the void between dreams so I sit and wait until I know I am feeling my dream body. I get up and nose plug RC and it shows I am in a dream. I am in my childhood bedroom and it is very dark. I want to see Juliana so I run to the living room where theres more space. I put my hand behind me and feel her take mine. When I turn around, however, no one is there. I do this several more times before waking up.

I DEILD chain and go back to the living room. I shout, "Jay! Where are you?" I hear her say, "Hey" but when I turn around shes not there. It's very dark which makes the dream unstable. I try again and this time vaguely see her lying on the couch. I tell her to stand up but she doesn't and I wake up.

I nose plug again and it's a false awakening. It's still really dark. I realzie I shoud get on with my three step tasks so I summon my Robes of Anorak from behind my back and put them on. I then reach my right hand to my left wrist and try to throw out a HUD. It takes a few tries and focusing on the streams of energy. I say, "Noma Desert" and nothing happens. I wake up.

I RC and get up. This time I have a watch on and there is a button I can press to throw up a HUD. This time the holograms are green. I say, "Noma Desert" and the HUD lights up. I snap my fingers and nothing happens.

Next DEILD I get a HUD that has mechanical elements reinforcing the holograms. I ask why my attempts didn't work and it says I need to plug it into a usb c charger. I find such a charger plugged into the wall next to me. Sill no success.

Another DEILD I find the hologram orange this time like the sand of the Noma desert. I say, "Noma Desert." and ask it to show me where JadeGreen and Manei are and it adjusts. When I snap my fingers I get teleported into space in an asteroid field and get smashed between two asteroids.

One last DEILD and I ask the HUD why I got teleported to space. It doesn't answer and I wake up to see light enter my eys. I am awake

Robes Summoning Attempt Four (WILD) 06.04.2023

I realize how quickly I am falling asleep after my WBTB so I do a nose pinch RC and confirm my WILD worked. I get out of bed and have a hard time stabilizing.

I summon my robes of Anorak and try pulling up a HUD but without luck. I destabilize and DEILD. Again I try the robes. It DEILD many times and get discouraged.

I try taking out my phone wnd calling Juliana. She anawers and gives me some encouragement. I try pulling uo the HUD and it works! I tap the search bar abd say "Juliana's Cottage' and snap my fingers and then I am there.

I go through the door and Juliana is there. I feel tired because of all the DEILDe so all we do is talk for the rest of the dream.

Update 5:45 PM! This is Juliana. I suddenly remembered my memories of my perspective of the dream. I was sittimg in my cottage in the dark. I don't know why I didn't light the fireplace. I waited for half an hour and then Monkey showed up we talked but I don't remember what we talked about.

I went to bed early and woke up from dreams early in the night.

I am another person, a missionary in another country. The character reminds me a lot of Jodie Foster. She is attracted to a man in the town and she/I tells him how she/I feel.


The next dream I am in an open world video game and I steal a truck and drive it to the beach. There is a party going on and everyone is smoking the thinest joints ever. A woman passes me one and I take a puff. I spend some time there and start to become lucid but not all the way yet.

Later I am in some hallway where the party is still going on. I spontaneously become fully lucid because I slways do RCs when in hallways. I go around a corner and yhere are three doors. I open the one on my right and there are to girls on a bed wearing sexy Christmas outfits. I go in and here is where my description of the dream is going to have to fade to black...


This dream is from this morning. I am playing Dwarf Fortress. I rolrplay that my character had their son kidnapped. I am choosing an adventure mode starting situation and I get one where I'm starting as a princess. Ive never seen that before. Usually you are a hearthperson for a princess. I start the game and see I start with a ton of money in a walled keep.

I am in a dream where everything is black and white. I become spontaneously lucid and let myself wake up hoping the next dream is in full color and stability.

[color=#111188]I am in my bedroom and I do a nose pinch rc and can breath through my fingers. I fly up through the ceiling and into the sky to view the landscape. It looks nothing like my neighborhood. There are tall buildings as well as open fields.

Unfortunately I get overcome by sexual urges and I spend the rest of this DEILD having sex with dream characters. I won't go into detail there. I wake up and have to DEILD again.

I am a woman wearing a scuba suit and using one of those underwater propulsion devices to zoom toward a boat. It's night time and a man is there with me. We count down together then zoom out of the water onto the deck.

I pull out a gun and the man and I find the deck of the boat clear. We go into one of the rooms and find a room with tons of giant egg like things. I know somehow that these are eggs that will unleash demon spawn on the earth. We set explosive charges and are about to leave when a cultist comes around a corner with a gun. I act first and shoot them.

When we dive from the boat into the water I wake up and fail to DEILD further.[COLOR]

This morning is the start of Spellbee2's lucid dreaming competition and I wanted to start off with a bang so I did a WBTB late in the morning before taking 8mg of Galantamine and trying SSILD since that almost guarantees I will get some sort of lucid. Now that I got some points built up I feel comfortable focusing on personal goals or TOTMs rather than sheer number of points. Tomorrow I will probably have to forgo WBTB all together to ensure my sleep cycle remains on track after taking so much galantamine.

Magic Ninja Assasin Jutsu (Non-Lucid)

I am in my home town as a ninja assasin targeting some other ninja. He is only a teenager and does not stop running to confront me. While running I contemplate the strange riddles from my previous dream and wonder if they have something to do with how dream magic works despite not being lucid. I remember the riddles more clearly now. The first line, the fibonacci sequence, has to do with the golden ratio and the sacred geometry of the symbols used to activate magic spells. The rest of the riddles have to do with the different types of spells which could be described by their primary elements Water, fire, earth, and air. There is more arcane knowledge hidden in these riddles that I don't fully understand and I don't remember the riddles themselves. I remember that, in the dream, I felt like I did more water ninja magic and that fire magic is used mostly by warlocks. I don't remember if I the other ninja and I actually used any magic jutsus or anything but we did run really fast. haha

I get to a highschool where the teenage ninja disapears into the crowd. They are having some sort of end of the school year carnival which is conventient for him isn't it. I walk around now more cautious not to draw attention. Eventually I see him hoping a fence thinking I am distracted and the chase continues until I wake up.

Let's Get Some Points! (SSILD)

I feel REM kicking in quick from the galantamine and SSILD so I roll over. After a minute or so I try to get up but my muscles are locked tight. I wait a little longer and try rolling out of my body but even that doesn't work. Next, I try imagining walking to the bathroom with my eyes closed with out actually doing anything. I feel the sink faucet in my hand Which now I realize I was imagining all wrong . I open my eyes and I am fully in the dream. I nose plug and start brushing my teeth. I feel how the brush feels against my gums and lip and contemplate my goals. Once satisfied that I am fully stable i unplug my phone from my charger and run right through my front door, phasing strait through it. Thats one of three tasks down. I am in the hallway of my appartment complex. I hold up my hand and create a spark between my fingers that grows into a small fire ball. Its honestly a pathertic fire ball but it counts for my second three step task. I waste no time and fly straight up out of my appartment, phaseing through a full story of rooms. I land close to my old college campus down the street.

Students are walking around everywhere. I hear someone yell "MadMonkey" from a car behind me. I am struck by the fact they said my ussername rather than my real name and turn but I don't know which car they are in. I run to each parked car and don't see anyone I recognize. It was probably a team member or Juliana so I might as well just summon them. I reach back and grab a female hand. "Hi Juliana." I say. "Hello Matthew." They reply. I can tell I am taking this all a bit to fast and I start to feel the sheets of my bed and loose visuals. I remain calm and try and renter the dream.

I am back on the same street where I left off but not lucid. I wonder why I am in public with only my boxer briefs on and my phone in my left hand. That's right, I'm dreaming. haha I open my phone to see dreamviews open with this very dream journal entry half typed except this paragraph instead contains a conversation I would have had with Juliana. I don't remember much of it now but I was asking her how dream magic works. I get a phone call and a man with a thick russian accent asks for me by name. He says he found me online and now is hacking me and I must work with him or bad things will happen. I hang up and see now on my phone a group text chat with the same number and other people who have been hacked. Not long after this I wake up.

Galantamine Fragments (SSILD)

I am in the hallway of my child hood home contemplating why I am so confused and why this magic stuff keeps occupying my dreams. I go back to the void and wait for another dream to form.


I am in an Itallian resturant with my girlfriend. A kid comes up and steals some food from out plate and walks back to his parents. I remember I am dreaming and throw food at the kid and then run from table to table eating what ever food I want!


I am in some random appartment with a random youtuber I watch. Apparently he is going through really hard financial times and we are roommates now. I use telekinesis to help him bring his luggage in. We sit down on the luggage and talk before watching a move together.

I am in a warehouse. I can see through the high windows that it is night time and raining. The light of a single hanging lamp falls on my girlfriend and I. A bald super villain leans on a catwalk above and monologues. A mook enters and the super villain commands him to kill us. I become lucid and punch the mook in the face. The super villain points at us and yells. A lightning bolt crashes through the ceiling and nearly misses us. I fly into the super villain and crash both us through the corrugated metal of the wall into the rain. He floats now and I realize my mistake as he laughs and points at the sky. I look up and brace for the impact of another lightning bolt and wake up.
