MrDreamsX, I'm hoping I don't get myself into trouble. I'm determined.
I decided to enter my childhood nightmare which is a dream goal of mine. If dreams are built of raw emotions, re-entering nightmares may require troubling stimulation. I recall entering "cleared out" recurring nightmare locations. I was destroying the ceiling trying to get through and she was getting mad at me, but I just couldn't get through. You are walking through walls, but bouncing off ceilings. Classic dream humiliation.
That's awesome! Congrats!!
Cool! I hope you continue to see progress with this method.
Lol at the immaculate conception part. XD
Thanks Krista. Lol!
Congrats! Sounds like an awesome LD! Also, you're welcome.
MrDreamsX: Agreed. I think there are likely common themes among, guys, girls, and people in general. BTW, I tagged this dream as you requested. I don't miss an opportunity out of laziness ever--just FYI. I'm also going to link this dream to the other dreams of this demon house. I've dreamed about it 3 or 4 times. In my dream I'm too afraid to go in. It's crazy. If I could go lucid, it's the first thing I would do!
MrDreamsX, Maybe stress and lack of sleep. That's all I can think of. I seem to be getting it back though. I'm remembering bits of different dreams again so I'm not too worried about it.
Taste is one of the things that fascinates me about dreams. It is amazing to me, though I can see it, that your brain recalls a flavor and a taste memory is fired and so you actually taste in your dream. When you start talking about an original flavor, that's impressive. I imagine it is a combination of different nastiness, but either way, it's really neat to ponder.
Sense of taste has been strong in my dreams. Had a dream where I raided a doughnut shop. I could really taste them all. If anything, they were better than waking life. One time, dreamed I was swimming in a dirty river: suddenly I drank down several huge gulps. It tasted so foul, so original, I woke up spitting and I still recall the flavor.
It was full of owls and bats. You could hardly walk because they were everywhere. Good stuff. My recall has been really poor lately, but I remember this dream from last night. Any obvious reasons for this Sandman? Changes in sleep pattern, schedule, or diet?
Maybe we each dream about huge thrashed houses filled with horrors? I know I have since childhood. Not unlike the prison dreams most guys seem to have.
Thanks. I hate poor recall as well. I usually don't have too much of a problem.
I hope you have more luck with your recall. I can't stand it when I can't recall my dreams.
I think that would help. I get caught up in "What if I can't fly?" lately, and so therefore, I can't. It wasn't a problem in the past. Maybe I'm just rusty with my LD skills.
Unfortunately, my lucids have been getting shorter and flight more difficult. I could get control of my flight, but I realize I'm waking up and then I do wake up. I need to stabilize. I think when I get heavy in flight, I just need to relax and not think about it too much. What about you? Do you think that would work for you?
That happens to me a lot lately when I try to fly in lucids; I feel weighed down by gravity, or I do fly, but I can only achieve a certain height.
Lol! Keep in mind I woke up at 3:30 or something to type this up. I wanted to go back to bed BAD. Nice Irken though. My second dream was at 5:30 I think. The writing style is short and choppy but if I wake up in the middle of the night, I'm just trying to get thoughts down that I remember. It doesn't always make for good reading, but I need to get my dreams on paper. You know how it is.
That occult dream sounded creepy. Also: There was a guy and a gir.
