Non-Lucid Dreams
Certainly an interesting one. Finally wrote my dream down after months of being lazy! I was at what seemed to be Hogwarts...or at least, it was a Hogwarts-like setting. A smug man with a suit and combed over hair walked into the main hall, telling me I was being forced to play some kind of game. This game would have life or death consequences. Rather than play the game, I investigated this man, spying on him and keeping tabs on his activities. I eventually found out he had an assistant named Brittany. I was able to spy on them executing students, with what looked like statues of living armor. Sadly, this is all I could remember. Good start though after putting this off for so long.
Last night's dream was a sad one for me. Took me a few moments after waking up to realize it didn't actually happen. I was hanging out in my old middle school for whatever reason. All of a sudden, I noticed my girlfriend outside of the door in the hallway, being insulted by some guy. Obviously angry, I stormed out there and beat the guy up, telling him to never disrespect her ever again. Afterwards, my girlfriend and I wandered off. As we passed by more people in the school, she decided to run ahead of me and hang out with them instead. So, naturally, I started feeling as if she was mad at me. I eventually asked her about this. "Are you mad at me about beating up that kid? I'm sorry." She shook her head and said it wasn't that. I asked what it was. At this point, I can't remember what we discussed, but I do remember it ending with us standing by a poolside, me begging her to forgive me about something, and her splashing me with water and running away. Woke up afterwards with a sad feeling, only to realize it was just a dream.
Since I'm in the midst of spring break right now, a school dream wasn't particularly pleasant. I was at school. Although the first parts of the dream are foggy, after those I remember being in my Japanese classroom. There was a big hole in the wall that led to a tunnel, and apparently students had to race through it to see who would win. I decided to give it a shot. The first couple of laps were a piece of cake, and I was smoking everyone there. On the third and final lap, I heard a kid I dislike and another kid who I know but have never talked to. They were talking about me. "That Tanner sure is a competitive one." "Tanner? Yeah, I guess." "Even if he's an idiot, he's still competitive." I was very peeved off by that, but I didn't turn around to insult him, and instead kept staring at the tunnel waiting for the race to start. It had surprised me that he had said that, since in real life that kid is nice to just about everyone. The final lap started, and I was almost going to win the race by the end of it, but it was called off and everyone scrambled out of there. As I was making my way through the crowd, I saw my girlfriend, who for some reason had long, blonde hair (whereas in real life she has short, black hair). I didn't think it strange, however, and hugged her tight when I saw her. We walked and talked for a while, until eventually we had to go to class. For some reason, as I was walking to my English class, I was suddenly wearing nothing but my underwear, although once again, I didn't find this strange. I walked into my English class only to be greeted by a new teacher who I had never seen before. I forget what his name was in the dream (started with an R), but he was a young man, about 22 or so, with a patch beard and short, dark brown hair. The class was rearranged differently, and all along the sides were computers that the kids were using to goof off on the internet. I grabbed a chair and waited for the bell to ring. There's also a brief snippit of dream that I remember (can't recall if it was part of the school dream or not) that involved me and my friend riding across long stretches of road on bikes.
I remembered four dreams this morning, albeit all of them were relatively short in my memory. But still! I'm making good progress. There were zombies! AAAAHHHHH... Yeah that's all I remembered about this one. Kind of pathetic. I was at lunch with my girlfriend and a couple of other friends. A kid that I dislike IRL, James, came to our table and started talking to me, to which I was getting annoyed by. My girlfriend glanced at me. "Maybe you should just tell him," she said. And tell him I did. Basically I went off into a three minute tangent consisting of me telling off James. And it was VERY satisfying. I do remember later on in the dream a person I know named Alex agreed with me about his overall jerk-ness. I was at my girlfriend's house, but for some reason, it was a mansion. It was only her mom there, and she told me to take a look at the place. I walked upstairs to see a giant poster of Bryan Cranston, the actor. "Woah! I want something like this!" I yelled. I was studying to become a doctor with my friend, Aaron. We were both at my high school learning about it. At one point, I had to take down a bunch of villains from the show Breaking Bad by shooting them with a pistol. Eventually Aaron and I went to a classroom and started to learn about things that had nothing to do with being a doctor.
As usual, I've been struggling with getting enough motivation to practice LDing. No matter how much my motivation raises or lowers though, I'll try to write down whatever dreams I remember. Including these from last night! Do note that they're a little short and hazy in my memory, but hey, if I can keep my motivation up, these will get much better~ I attended a sort of school set in a very expansive, steampunk-esque city. It was a beautiful place, and almost momentous in scale. Where there weren't buildings, there were vast chasms of mountains and forests, above which was the motor track, which the populace used to get from place to place. All you had to do was hop into one of the attached pods clinging to the track and ride to your destination. I got to and from the school this way. I ended up meeting some new friends at the school, though I don't remember anything about them. Strangely enough, there were a lot of structures and bits of technology that were ripped straight from Half Life 2 Combine technology. There was even an HL2 Citadel-looking building farther off into the city. This last dream is a lot more hazy than the previous one, so. I was in the world of Bioshock, in the role of a Big Daddy. Rapture looked a little strange... And that's where my memory ends for that dream. In the meantime, I'm going to work on keeping my motivation up, so I don't take long breaks from trying to lucid dream.
Remembered two dreams this morning. The first one involved...DUNDUNDUN MURDERRRRRRRRRRRR. Suddenly, there was a murder. I didn't freak out about it or anything. My family and I decided to stay at a nearby hotel, just to be a little safer. While at the hotel, I caught wind of a rumor about some ace-detective-turned-pastor who would be going to the crime scene in the nearby graveyard to solve the clues. Out of no where, I was watching the pastor investigating, almost like a cutscene in a video game. He didn't investigate for very long. Probably found what he needed to. This is when I decided to go to the graveyard myself. I felt a little spooked, but I brought my iPod with me and listened to MCR while walking around the graveyard. Should've used that as a way to go lucid, I was listening to a song by MCR that didn't even exist. I got to the back part of the graveyard to find a weird looking bug in a black shell. The shell popped open, and a scary looking, browin-ish colored beetle crawled out, screeching. I screamed and fled in terror, and looked behind me, seeing the beetle take to the air with vibrant colored wings. I ran as fast as I could out of the graveyard, and made it out, but not before feeling a stinging pain on my shoulder... Now for the other dream. For some reason, I wasn't in my body, but instead in the body of a police officer with a mustache. I was hiding from this extremely nasty guy in a sumo outfit, and when his back was turned, I jumped out and made him sit on a chair so I could interrogate him. Sadly, I forget how that conversation went, but I do recall it being very short. I stepped out into the nearby hallway, and suddenly, I was back in my body again. I found some friends of mine who aren't actually my friends irl, and we went down this hallway called 'The Troubled Kids Hallway'. It looked like a normal hallway, but anyways. We made it out into this auditorium that resembled my old lunch room from middle school, and kids were lined up getting ready to watch a presentation. I found my girlfriend, and she waved at me, but her expression was one of unease. Her hair was dyed red-orange in color, unlike the black color she has in real life. For some reason, I wasn't allowed to sit next to her, so I found a seat far away and sunk into it, saddened that I couldn't be with her. And that was that. I have a little fragment of me using Assassin's Creed-styled parkour climbing to travel around a city, but I think that was a part of the murder dream. I think.
Sorry I've been away for a while guys. School came back, and I'm sure you all know how that is. :L I've had a little more time lately to focus on my dream exploits, and here's my dream from last night. I went to a party with a bunch of people I didn't seem to know. The house we were in didn't look all too familiar. Not sure if I've seen it somewhere before. I headed over to the couches, where I noticed a group of 3 suspicious looking people performing a magic trick for a little kid. The three people were, I'd say, about 20 years old or so. I plopped down on the couch and watched the magic trick they were doing. In a small glass, the man had poured water and put something in it to create a foam like substance. He then put some ice cubes in it, and told the kid to watch carefully. Suddenly, the icecubes appeared to be a beautiful pink in color, glowing rose-like, entrancing me. The man kept doing it, saying he was running out of time, creating more and more pink colored icecubes, till eventually, the foam in the glass cleared, and a large, rectangular shaped stone made out of pure pink crystal arose from the top of the glass. The man shouted in delight, and snatched the crystal rectangle away. He nodded to his two compatriots, and they quickly leapt up to leave. I stood up as well, suspicious. As they were leaving, one of them turned around and looked at me hard in the eyes. "HEY! GUYS! WHAT ABOUT THIS KID?" he shouted to his two companions. I panicked, thinking they were going to stop me, but they didn't. His words seemed to have fallen on deaf ears. He grunted in annoyance and followed them out of the house. Everyone in the party suddenly disappeared. I was on my lonesome. I knew I couldn't let those people get away. They were planning to do something bad with that precious crystal stone, and I was going to stop them. I grabbed a nearby cloak and wrapped it around my body, pulling the hood up. I quickly put my shoes on, and grabbed my wooden sword, which would be my makeshift weapon for now. I headed out, ready for danger. Suddenly, a boy yelled to me. "Hey, Tanner! Come here!" I turned to see a boy I knew from my school urging me to approach him. He was standing inside a garage-looking area. I approached, and he tugged me inside the garage and closed the door. He explained that they were trying to stop those people too, and that I would need to join them, but with a better disguise. He then gave me a gas mask to put over my face. I put it on, and realized I looked a lot like Zero from the Zero Escape series. ANNNND then I woke up. Too bad, I would've liked to find out what we were going to do to stop those three.
Well, some of this is fuzzy since I'm just NOW typing this, but I'll remember what I can. "The great, big ocean! AAAH!" I said, breathing out a sigh of contentment. The ocean was the place to be, the perfect place to explore. What's that? Nothin' out there? Avast with ye! Okay, so no, I'm just pirate talking because it sounds funny. Let's get this ship on the move! Since I've never piloted a boat of any kind, I didn't really know what the hell I was even doing. I turned the whatawhat and pushed the giggamajag and set sail. My crew...eh, who were they again? They were staying down in the lower parts of the boat. The boat itself wasn't anything special, but give it some time, and I'd have her upgraded before you know it. It was a pretty small ship, all in all. As we sailed farther and farther away from the shore, I started to get this panicky feeling, but didn't know why. "Eh?" I grunted, looking out from the front of the boat. Rising out of the water were about 8 or 9 dolphin fins, circling around the boat. At first, I panicked, thinking them to be sharks, but on closer inspection realized that they were indeed simply dolphins. I calmed down and tried to steer the ship forward and out of the ring of dolphins. As soon as the ship passed over one of the fins, I could see a dolphin jumping out of the water out of the corner of my eye. I turned towards it. "AAAAAAAH!" I screamed. The dolphin flew straight at me and hit me like a cannonball, knocking me off the ship and into the water. I could feel myself resting upon the back of the dolphin, and could sense it swimming impossible speeds out deeper into the ocean. I could barely breathe, the water constantly covering my face, only surfacing for a milisecond of breath, then back down again. And then I woke up. The weird part was that I woke up breathing hard, as if I really was running out of air like I was in the dream. I've had that kind of thing happen before in certain dreams. Blah. All in all though, pretty funny dream when you consider the ninja psycho dolphins.
After not having very good recall for a few days, I finally remembered a dream. I was ready to play. I booted up my phone. The loading screen of the game was a multi-colored background with a creepy girl on the foreground. I giggled at that. The game started, and suddenly, it felt like I was in the game. The game had a Metroid Prime-ish feel to how it looked; I was using a sort of cannon as my gun. The game took your house and made a technicolored version of it where you go to kill a vampire. Okay, these must be dream signs. First, Grandma's house has been in so many of my dreams lately. :L And that vampire was in one dream a few months ago. Notice the slight similarity between this dream and the one where we explored my Grandma's house for monsters like a horror shooter? XD I explored Grandma's house, a little creeped out. The whole walls were covered by a mix of red, pink, purple, and black. The mix of colors was disorienting. I noticed that down in the basement were tons of archways to my left that led out to a large gym-like area under the basement. There, a vampire was patrolling the bleachers. "I FOUND YOU." He screamed. I screamed in return. A large spotlight shot from the gym, illuminating me. I quickly ran forward, trying to escape the light. As I escaped it, he lost sight of me. I hid in a side room. I did this for a while, till I got to the end of the hallway. Once I was there, I snuck out of the last room and crept into the gym behind the bleachers where he was standing. I climbed up the stairs and hung onto the side as I waited for him to go back. He was standing, like, right above me. Luckily, he didn't see me. I crawled on all fours around the bleachers till I got to the top. -insert important plot details that I don't remember here- I must've killed the vampire though, because I was safe and sound and now sitting in my own home, with my friend Kaylee watching me play the game once again. As the game booted up, and the creepy girl appeared on the cover, she pointed at it and said, "That looks like me!" And yeah, that's about everything I remember.
Creepy dream. I went to spend the night at a friend's house, only to find out she had a little brother I knew nothing about. This little brother was actually a psychotic, people eating monster that hungered for people every few days. Worried, I just had to ask. "When's the last time he ate?" My friend said, "A few days ago." I panicked and wanted to get the crap out of there, but for some reason, I decided to spend the night still. I woke up really early the next morning, packed my things, and quietly snuck out of the house. As I was sneaking out, I looked over and saw my friend and her brother patrolling the end of the street. I silently cursed to myself, knowing that the little boy was hunting for food. I ran as fast as I could through a shortcut to my place, running through the woods and cutting through a person's yard. I apologized to him and kept running. Once I got to my street, I started running even faster, but FOR SOME REASON, pulled out my phone to check my twitter feed. IDK what was going through my head here, but apparently checking the twitter feed was more important than saving my life I was checking my twitter feed while running, and then suddenly heard what sounded like a car approaching. I quickly put my phone away and ran as fast as I could, my house being really close now. I glanced behind me to see a large white van going down the road. It's them, it's them, oh crap it's them! I thought frantically. Once I got to my driveway, I ran up to the number pad to open our garage door, only to discover that my parents got a NEW number pad. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??! I screamed in my head. I glanced back, shaking and scared as the white van approached. I quickly ran up to our front door and knocked like mad. After a few seconds, my father came to the door and opened it. Before going inside, I turned to see the white van passing by, and the people IN the van were just our neighbors, and not the psycho kid who was looking for someone to eat. That's all I remember from there.
Sadly, this one's a fragment, which is really too bad, because the premise was cool. I packed my bags and headed to this new college that sounded kind of cool. When I got there, I went to class, only to discover that we were being attacked by...something. The teacher told me to hurry back, but when I tripped on the way, he stopped in front of me as he helped me up and explained that they were assassins who could alter reality. I was in disbelief, but then he showed me by firing a crossbow after making the two enemies in front of him go in slow motion. It nailed both of them in the heads. It gets pretty fuzzy after that, I was in a class teaching you how to warp gravity, and then I was travelling through this odd locker room that didn't seem like a normal locker room... Too bad I didn't remember anymore of it.
Remembered two dreams from last night. The first was relatively short. Suda51 came over to our house for dinner. Needless to say, I was excited as hell to meet him. We greeted each other, and then he pulled some mashed potatoes out of the fridge. "Tabemasuka?" he asked. I was confused at first, but rembering that I knew Japanese, I replied, "Hai! Tabemasu." okay, so the next one is a lot more crazy compared to the last one. And I remember more. My grandma's house, on the outside, looked like this huge, foggy, dark mansion. We were headed there to spend the night; that is me, my friend/rival Seth, and two 10 year old kids who I don't know IRL. We spent the night there, and the next day, loaded up our Gamecube controllers. They were our guns. We headed down to the basement of my grandma's house which strikes me as funny now, because last night, I was sleeping in one of the guest rooms IN that very basement as I was having this dream... The basement looked pretty normal, just like I remembered it, albeit a bit darker. One of the kids flipped the lights on and we all headed over to a darker corner near the end of the basement. Seth and I stood back as the two kids slammed open the storage room door and went in, Gamecube Controller Guns at the ready. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" I heard a shout come from the hallway. TWO shouts. The two boys. I feared the worst. "What is it??" I called out. "Is it a necromorph??" apparently my mind was fixated on Dead Space at this moment Without an answer, the kids came stumbling out. I held up my Gamecube gun at the storage room door, preparing for whatever despicable creature might pop out. A few moments passed...and then............... two guys popped out of the storage room, looking exhausted. I held my gun down and stared in disbelief. "That's all you were screaming aboout? Oh, c'mon!" I walked over to the TV, and the kids followed. They hopped down, and started playing Resident Evil 4 on the gamecube. I stared at them. "Guys, we're supposed to be hunting." A hand clasped my shoulder and a voice said, "Don't worry about it, they'll be fine." I turned around to see a man I didn't know. He was dressed in a stylish jacket, had pale skin, slicked back brown hair, and wore sunglasses. He held his hand out. "Mind if I play?" For some reason, I didn't question it. I handed him my Gamecube Controller/Gun, and he stared at the TV as he played RE4. And that's all I remember. Pretty weird dream.

I was hanging out with a group of friends in my neighborhood. We heard stories about UFOs and Aliens that were coming to visit our town. And in fact, later on, while we were playing videogames down in my basement, we heard a loud shooting noise outside. We ran out and gazed up at the sky. Sure enough, we saw a large asteroid headed for Earth, including a small flying thing next to it. My friend's sister walked up to us and told us not to freak out, and that the astronauts were just testing. So we waited, and finally, the meteor came crashing down near our house. We went to take a look but couldn't find it. On the way back, we saw a man in a space suit parachuting down to my street. We thought he was an alien, so we hid away and watched him. He walked up to another man in a space suit and took his helmet off to reveal that he was some rock and roll star, complete with the 80s hair metal look. I think this next dream was a different one. Sure felt like it anyway. I was at my school for the SAT. The school looked warped, with green lit hallways and lots of equipment placed out to the side. I walked up to the lady at the counter. "Name, please?" she asked. "Tanner Fugate," I said. She punched in some seemingly random numbers into her computer and smiled. "Now go to sleep." I looked at her questioningly before feeling lightheaded and sleepy and collapsing onto the cold floor. I woke up, what seemed like hours later, in a small classroom. My old English teacher was in there, staring at me expectingly, like I was supposed to do something. I looked up at the dry-erase marker board, and written on it was various bits of Nadsat slang from a Clockwork Orange. So I let loose, thinking he wanted me to recite it or something. Can't recall exactly what I said, but: "You foul, ranctuous, rangetty blotherhob! You give me this strange feelin' all in me guttywutts!" and oh yeah, I was having a great time just shouting Nadsat, feeling like Alex from A Clockwork Orange. The teach clapped and said I did a wonderful job, and then I fell BACK asleep, only to wake up laying sideways to see the one clerk lady and the English teacher examining me for some kind of disease. And that's all I remember. The Nadsat slang itself actually didn't make much sense ;L oh well. Both of these dreams were cool.
I recalled a handful of dreams last night, but upon being awake for too long, could only remember this one. Anyways. Me, my friends Pasqual and Brent, and my Aunt Mindy were all headed to this strange place a place that I can't remember the name of to go get something that was very similar to gasoline. I hopped in the backseat of the car with my aunt while my two friends took the front seats. As we were riding, I started to have this really odd, strange sensation. Suddenly, it felt like I was spinning in circles in the back seat of the car. Not like, spinning in place. Like, I was basically floating up and down and around the back seat. I tried to push a hand or a foot out to touch something, anything, to stop the odd sensation. It worked, and everything returned to normal. My aunt was staring at me like I was a lunatic. I explained, "I think I just had sleep paralysis!" Okay, that's just silly. SP in a dream? I think I know why dream-me came to this conclusion. Before I went to bed IRL that night, I felt a really odd tingly sensation in my hands and feet, and after a few minutes of this, my foot jerked and slammed down on the bed, and I heard loud breathing and footsteps. This made me think of SP, which probably carried over to the dream. "Yeah, that must be it," Aunt Mindy said. I couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or not. We arrived at this odd place to get that gasoline-like thing. As we walked in, an old man hobbled over to me carrying a large, spiky chunk of wood, and something that looked like a deformed chisel. He handed me both, laughed, and said, "Alright, sonny, now make a perfect cube out of that." I looked up in disbelief, thinking, I can't do this! I looked around and noticed his old friends were watching me, expecting me to do it. I sort of forget what I did here, but, After working with the odd chisel device, a severely scarred and deformed cube was the result of my hard work. I showed it to the old ladies watching, and laughed, saying, "It's something, right?" They laughed with me. The old guy turned me around and berated me for not being able to make the perfect cube, and he then snatched away the two items. From that point, I was extremely sad till I woke up.
I was at a very plain looking house with a group of people I didn't know. Some giant, armadillo-looking Pokemon was stalking us outside the house, trying to get in so it could kill us. It eventually did get in, but I got an idea. "HEY! UGLY!" It turned towards me, and surprisingly, started speaking. "What do you want, human?" "Just come here," I said. "I'll come over alright..." and with that, the Pokemon rolled into a ball and sped straight towards me, planning to crush me underneath it. I jumped out of the way and it went flying off a cliff. This next part was an entirely different dream. A very hazy one too, as the Pokemon one was easier to remember. I was walking to my schoolbus and heard someone yelling my name. I turned and saw Nate, an old friend of mine who I haven't talked to in years IRL. He kept saying, "HEY!" "HI!" "HELLO!", so I responded in kind, then went on my bus. The scenery changed, and I was in a room with my friend Seth. We were eating cookies, and noticed some lady from the game No More Heroes 2 behind us, trying to zipline out of the building, only to get stuck. This caused Seth to say, "I enjoy playing games straight through so I can beat them." "PFF!" I scoffed, "That's no fun! You gotta play it slowly so you can enjoy the experience more!" And that's all I remember.
