    1. Just a Feeling, Really

      by , 01-27-2015 at 03:53 PM
I forgot to really recall my dreams during the nap I had earlier, so the only thing that I can remember is that I was trying to do something, and it was stressful. I figured I should go ahead and put down what I have.

    2. At Least There Were Dragons

      by , 08-01-2014 at 07:28 PM
      Don't remember much.

I'm in some sort of underground network, mining or digging or something with some other people. I notice a tunnel that goes very far. I wonder who could have made such a tunnel. My friends think I'm looking for the bathroom.

I'm walking down a street and there's something about a guy telling me that his mom lets him sleep on a filthy mattress or something like that.

There are these mini gargoyle things everywhere and I'm putting bird wings on them with the object gun from Garry's Mod. I can't get them all because I'm on the move, but all the gargoyles come with me and we fight these dragons that are on the raised walkway of a castle, like the great wall of china.
    3. Banded Sea Krait Naga/Mermaid, Picard the Orchestra Teacher

      by , 07-31-2014 at 07:10 PM
So first I'm a little confused about when class ends so I leave it early, only realizing once I'm out in the halls that it's against the rules, and by then, I don't dare go back. I head toward the exit of our school, when I decide that I might like to stop by the orchestra room and pluck some songs on my viola. I sit in the back so as to not disturb the players who are coming in and setting up, and I mess around on my viola a bit. However, cellists sit on my left and on my right, and it takes Cpt. Picard (in place of my actual orchestra teacher) to tell me to move to make me realize that I've disrupted the seating - I didn't know they would be sitting this far back. (In real life, that's not where the cellos sit, anyway.) I feel pretty embarrassed as I sit in the far corner, and I want nothing more than to leave, but that would draw even more attention to me and make me even more embarrassed.

Later, I'm playing a game where my character is a banded sea krait!naga/mermaid when in the water and a person when out, though he's got legs at the end of his tail.. This means that when outside of the water, he's naked. His human friend, because of this, is naked for some reason too. I get stuck somehow, I don't remember if I just don't know where to go in the game or if I have computer problems, but I ask my dad and my friend to come over and help. However, I'm covering up the middle of the screen with the two characters with a blanket. Unfortunately, it's see-through. My Dad and friend say it's no big deal and it's just a game, and I insist that no, they don't understand, I'm not just keeping them naked for the heck of it!

Later, I am the naga, and I'm also that tall blonde-haired guy from Free!. My human friend is the black-haired guy who loves water so much. (It's been a while since I've watched this, heh.) I no longer have legs at the end of my tail, and sometimes I forget I'm a sea krait and I swim like a normal fishy mermaid. Most of this dream is avoiding dangerous humans, talking to my two friends (I later get a friend who's a girl, though I don't think she was from Free!) about the conservation of the sea and the creatures and structures that reside in it, and talking to a skiddish sea krait!naga/mermaid who is scared of pretty much everyone from years of avoiding dangerous humans.
    4. Lots of Things, Mostly Stressful

      by , 07-24-2014 at 12:54 AM
My friend and I are in the middle of this class tour of an old castle, and I have an app on my phone that tells me if a ghost is around. My friend and I sneak off from the group and go up to this small, dark, cobwebby room near the top of the castle. I pull out my phone and check the app, and it says that there is definitely a ghost nearby. I'm not really sure if I believe the app, so I call out. Nothing happens. My friend and I decide to go to sleep there, and maybe some activity will wake us up. The next morning, there is a framed painting lying on the floor. It shows my friend, asleep with her blanket covering her face and with a very large man sleeping on top of her, and it shows me, my back turned to the "camera", standing and facing a female figure with a very large head standing in a doorway bursting with warm light.

I show this to my friend and tell her that it obviously means that I met the ghost that night, but she didn't because her face is covered in the painting, even though I can't remember meeting any ghost during the night. I expect her to be frustrated with me and say that I was being very liberal with my interpretation, but to my surprise, she seemed to accept my explanation.

Later, I'm in a car, and I check my app to see if it acts differently in a setting which obviously doesn't have a ghost. It does, telling me there are no ghosts around.

Later, I'm climbing a long, long ladder up a cave tunnel. There are two ghost/cave experts with me, one behind me on the latter and one on the floor of the cave looking up. They're both giving me instructions on how to climb the ladder as I struggle to do so. The cave floor is a long way down. Frustrated, I tell them that I've made this trip plenty of times before with no trouble at all, but now that I'm being watched by them, I'm suddenly finding it difficult. I know that we're going back to the room where my friend and I had detected the ghost before, and I don't notice that the previous castle setting as morphed into a cave setting.

I remember a small fragment where at some point, the 10th Doctor and I are talking to a woman who seems to know quite a bit about the future, but won't let us in on anything. When she says she has to leave, we follow her and find that she's a human who's traveling with a time lord of her own. I wake up then.

That was last night. I just took a nap and so...

I dream that Red Vs. Blue, the machinima, is a sort of visual novel-type video game (different from the halo game lol). I'm at the counter of a store and I'm trying to talk to Tucker about something I want to buy, but he's too busy talking to Caboose, who is actually just Charlie Day wrapped in a dark blue blanket. Caboose is intently mimicking everything Tucker says and does, because here, he thinks Tucker is his best friend instead of Church.

At some point, I'm in a maze made out of that type of wire fence that has the diamonds in it? And I see an animated puppy who looks upset and in pain, and then I go a little further and see the same thing but as a full grown dog. It's a dead-end though, so I turn back. When I do, I find myself being gassed by some sort of sleeping gas. Rarity from My Little Pony comes into view and says she's sorry, but she has to do this. I can see the other ponies in the background. I struggle to move around until I fall to the ground, looking up at them as I fall asleep..

Later, Russia and Ukraine are launching a joint attack on the US. Left and right, I hear of people dying. I move to go downstairs, but I get a text from my mom saying, "don't worry, it's just a B2" (which is a type of bomber airplaine). Just a B2? I think, then i hear a loud plane noise from overhead. For some reason, because of these things, I abandon the basement and instead search for higher ground.

Eventually, I do find higher ground. There's a skyscraper near the place where I was talking to Tucker earlier. In one of the top-most floors, there's an arcade. I play a 16-bit arcade game about an anthropomorphic rabbit and his friend, whose species I can't remember. At some point I get a powerup that turns my character into a frog. I meet a lot of species along my adventure, and I'm having fun, when suddenly the game shuts down, and someone hauls the game away, as they tell me that it's being relocated to be shot at in a paintball game. I'm fairly mad about this. My friend, C, arrives and asks about the game, and I tell her the news. "Aw," she says. We turn to see that the wall facing the outside is gone, and instead we can walk right out of the building and jump into this small pool that is filled to the brim, so you can go right to the edge and look over it to the ground, far below. My mom is in the pool, relaxing on a floatie.

I try to tell my friend about the Russia/Ukraine attack, but she acts very somber and says something like, "Please, I really don't want to hear about that." I understand.

There is a pool on the ground that is right beside ours, and my friend, to my objections, jumps from our pool all the way down into the pool on the ground. I thought she would then go into the building and take an elevator back up, but instead she climbs up the side of our pool, which now has thick cloth in a woven pattern down the sides. I scold her for being dangerous and doing such a thing. She shrugs lightheartedly. After that, things get stressful. I can only swim around the middle of the small pool, because if I go to the edges, I have a danger of falling off. I have to be very careful because I also have to prevent my mom's floatie from going over the edge. For some reason, getting out isn't an option until later.

Later, a little girl climbs up the side. I am surprised/stressed/panicked that Chelsea had caused this little girl to follow in her footsteps and do something so dangerous. I yell at the girl and she takes no head of me, and my mom does and my friend does, but to no avail. I tell them that we should all shout the same thing at the same time. It works, and the girl looks at us with a sad face and says a quiet "sorry". I then soften and tell her that we're sorry for being harsh, and to please be very careful when going back down. She gives a soft smile back and thanks us for our concern.

Lastly, I'm standing in a room with my mom and her friend. They're telling me to do something that I strongly don't want to do, and I think I might have found it a bit morally wrong as well. Thinking that this can't possibly be real, or at least hoping that it's not, I do a reality check, and find myself to be dreaming. I think back to a post from here about how to maintain the dream/lucidity, and I remember that one of the things someone said to do was to NOT be afraid of waking up. Of course, thinking about waking up did not help things. I tried to focus on the dream and to stay in it, but I woke up fairly soon.
    5. The Ghost Cats of Star Trek

      by , 07-23-2014 at 04:10 AM
So I'm in this orphanage which is pretty much just a medium-sized house with a lot of people in it, and I'm planning to brighten their day. I know that I can control things, and I dimly know that it's not real, but I don't really know that I'm dreaming, so I don't think I'd call it lucidity. I tell them all that I'm going to summon two of my favorite characters (Kirk and Spock from Star Trek) and we're going to give them... money, or food, or something like that, to support the orphanage. However, as I try, nothing works, and they look at me with looks that say, "you can't really do any of that." So I try opening the door and expecting them to be there, but that doesn't work either. So then I tell them all to pretend they hear a doorbell (because I can't make that happen either) and then I'll open the door, but not all of them accede and they weren't very organized about it, and it didn't work. I tell them I'm better at it when no one's around, and I go outside. The driveway is long and steep and made of black asphault (like the driveway of my childhood home, I now realize). There are a few little kids playing outside. I go down to the very end of the driveway and, when imagining a portal through which the characters come through doesn't work, I get down on all fours.

I know that sometimes, when I act like whatever I'm trying to do is really hard and painful, it's easier to do it. For example, I can't will myself to become a wolf, but I can act really dramatic like it's an excruciating transformation from a werewolf movie or something, and it works. So I... well. I try to vomit the characters up. But that didn't work either, anyway. So then I realize that for some reason, ghosts are easier to summon than living people. So I imagine killing the characters and voila! Their bodies are on the ground before me. I reach down and pull out their ghosts but it turns out that I've somehow accidentally made them into cats. Kirk's cat-ghost is blue and Spock's is green. Not wanting to make the orphanage-people wait any longer, I deem this turn-out acceptable and usher them inside. I don't really remember what happens for a while, but later...

I'm McCoy and I'm a blue cat-ghost (by this point Kirk's color has changed to yellow) and although I still feel human, my view is low to the ground and it's very easy for me to walk around and act like a cat. Kirk, Spock and I are just kind of hanging out and living as cats in this orphanage? There are more old people than kids, even though it's an orphanage. So when it's night-time, I look around for a place to sleep. I go into this bathroom where there's a little cushioned footrest type thing by the tub, and the tub is filled up with a mattress, with a small desk at the end of the tub. I hop up onto the footrest, then onto the tub-bed, and I'm planning on curling up and going to sleep when I catch a glance at the desk. There's a sticky note that says at the top: "McCoy" with instructions that I don't remember. I freak out. This was the bed of a former small girl that got adopted. How did she know that at some point the three of us would die, turn into cats, and come live there? I search through the desk, and there are other references to us. I go and get Kirk (who is simultaneously one of my friends from real life, who I'll name C, for rememberance's sake) and I show him the stuff. When he first sees the sticky-note he says something about how I'm over-reacting and it can't possibly be what I say it is, but I keep showing him more and more things and it convinces him. He's unsettled and doesn't know what to do. Spock wanders in while I'm showing Kirk the things.

    6. Survivors

      by , 07-21-2014 at 06:46 PM
Don't remember much. I'm standing on a huge hill that has been formed into a series of plateaus by the group of survivors that I'm with. Some people are cultivating the land, sewing seeds and such, some are putting tarps on big poles up as roofs, everyone is milling about being productive. We know that soon, whatever turned us from "citizens" to "survivors" is coming back. Morale is tentatively high as we look how far we've come and say to ourselves that we can fend off the next attack.

At some other point, I'm facing off against the evil one-on-one in an eight bit version of Super Smash Brothers.

    7. Captain Picard the Zoo Curator

      by , 07-20-2014 at 03:20 AM
So I volunteer at the zoo.

I don't remember much, but the other night I dreamed that:

I leave the indoor elephant area to find Captain Picard (who I know to be the zoo curator) and the elephants' zookeeper sitting on lawn chairs facing the outside area of the elephant exhibit. There's an empty lawn chair between them, but Picard tells me to feed the elephants instead of sitting. Obliging, I pick up a basket of eggs and throw them one by one at a basketball hoop that's high up on the outside of the gate. However, I miss all that I try to throw (and hit an elephant once), so I turn back to Picard and say something like, "Can we just not? 'Cause all I'm really doing is egging the elephants." Picard nods, stands, and says something that I don't remember, then we all leave together.

    8. Albino/Pink Animals

      by , 02-17-2014 at 10:59 PM
Okay well I don't remember much because I woke up early and didn't write anything down ("I don't remember much" is quite a common phrase for me lately, huh?")

I'm outside on my back porch and I see a ruby-throated hummingbird flying low near me. I carefully and slowly set down this small donut-bowl-shaped flower-fruit.. thing. The donut part has something like juice in it, and I nudge it carefully towards the bird. To my delight, it takes the bait and perches on the donut-bowl, leaning down to drink the juice. I watch for a little bit, but then I see a small, box-shaped turtle, and it's white with soft, bright, pastel pink. I'm delighted at finding such a strange-looking turtle that I've never seen before. I go to catch it, but then I think, the hummingbird will be gone soon, but the turtle won't be getting away too quickly. I should try to catch the hummingbird first, and then I could have two cool animals to show! So I slowly crouch down toward the hummingbird, then shoot my hand forward and grab it - I'm surprised that I actually managed to do it. Then I go and grab the turtle and go back to the back door to show my mom and dad (since I know my mom loves hummingbirds). When I get there and excitedly show them the animals, when I look at the hummingbird, it is also white and pink like the turtle. At the time, I think nothing of it, except that it's pretty and that I've seen nothing like it, so my mom is sure to like it.

I know there's probably more I could remember if I tried, but I'm lazy, so I'll come back here and edit if a memory comes to me.
    9. Difficult Flying, Snakes Everywhere

      by , 02-16-2014 at 02:29 PM
Unfortunately this dream was the night before the night before last night, and I'm just now writing it down, so I'm heavily depending on the little keywords I'd written that morning…

I'm in the woods behind my house and I see a little hole in the ground by a tree trunk. I crouch down and look into the hole and I see many snakes of different species inside, some moving slowly. I get very excited. A hibernation den! Now I can visit snakes even in the cold months and I'll have them all to myself! I don't reach in to hold any, though, because I don't know if that would be harmful for them to come out in such cold weather. ((The day before I was reading a reptiles/amphibians book of Indiana and it talked about snake hibernation dens, and I hoped that I could find one. So that's where that came from.))

So I walk away from the den and I find another, much smaller one, where I can only see one or two thick, rough-scaled green snakes, like emerald tree boas, though I don't remember if they had pits. As I crouch there near it, a wet, tiny one comes out, and I realize that it's actually some sort of hatchery/nursery. A big one comes out right after, and I'm afraid to move, because I'm afraid that the bigger snake will attack me since it would want to protect its young if it saw me as a threat ((for the record, in the waking world, I know that that's not how it works with snakes)). I move a little bit, and the bigger snake freezes and draws his head in a little, while the baby retreats back into the den. Hesitantly, I stand up to walk away, and the bigger one also goes back into the den. I am relieved.

At some other point, I'm in the living room and I jump up and bend my elbows so that my hands are near my shoulders, and I flap my hands quickly. This causes me to hover, or difficultly fly a bit. I fly around the living room a bit, but that's all I remember from that scene. I think my grandmother might have been there at some point.

At some other time, I'm walking down the street to get to "the end of town", which were the directions which we had given to someone else. The end of town was apparently barren except for a few people living in poverty, with lots of dirt/mud smeared on the road and sidewalk. My Mom was ranting about how we had told someone to go to "the end of town" but we didn't tell them which end to go to, and now they had gone to this one, and now they won't want to go to the right "end of town". After this, we're walking back and a news man comes to interview me, holding both the microphone and the camera. He asks something that I don't remember, and I hop along while flapping my hands so the hops are big and drawn-out, like I'm on the moon or something. I say something sarcastic to him and refuse to answer his questions seriously.

At some other point, I'm standing in a room with a model wooden ship and a man. Out of habit, I do a reality check, and realize that I'm actually dreaming. Remembering the task of the month, I look at the man and say, "who's my soul mate?" He hesitates for a moment, and, disappointed, I think that he won't answer. Then he looks at me and says, "you should sell all your plates." I'm amused, and I don't ask him further. I walk past him to examine the model ship, reminding myself that Im' lucid. However, next, something happens which I don't quite remember, which is so interesting and engrossing that I forget to remind myself that I'm lucid, and I fall back into a regular dream.

At some other point, I go downstairs in this house to find three rooms: a bedroom with a desk, a living/game room with a couch and a TV, and another room with more games and another bed. The living room/game room are connected with different carpet, but no walls or doors. The first bedroom is closed off with a door. Inside the bedroom I find a snake, rough-scaled, with dark green and blue stripes. He's hanging from a stand that you'd give a parrot to perch on. I pick him up and say, "aww" and "you're such a baby" and the like. However, next, I have to put the snake back because my mom calls down from the stairs and says that she's about to show some people around the house, and if I don't lock every door and window before they get to the basement, then she will proceed to show them around, even though I am naked. I frantically go to lock and close doors and windows, and there are suddenly more doors and rooms than there used to be. I managed to lock nearly all the doors, but there is one room that I don't get to in time, so I have to go close the door and lock it while my parents and their friends are in the room. They all stare at me awkwardly while I go in, naked, to close the door. Later, I've locked every door, and, I thought, every window, but my mom leans in through the top of a window to say that I hadn't locked the upper third of that window, because apparently that window folds open and closed and requires three locks.

At some other point, I'm flying through a jungle in the treetops, flying the same way as before. I see some cool snakes, and I get scared by some creepy bugs, and I'm trying to get over the tops of the trees, and at the very top of the trees I find some dopey, fat caterpillars with yellow underbellies and green(?) tops, and they cheer when I go past them above the trees, and they rejoice, saying something like, "finally! a person who's as pathetic as us! Friend!"

At some other point, I'm standing on the top of a tall building, with another man in front of me. Out of habit, I do a reality check, and, again, realize that I'm lucid. Since the last time was sort of unsatisfactory, I ask again who my soul mate is. The man, the only one in the vicinity, looks at me and says, "that guy" without pointing or otherwise indicating who "that guy" might be. Giving up, I jump off the building and try to fly just by thinking about it, but it isn't working, so I flap my arms (my whole arm, like a bird, not just the hands, as it had been when I wasn't lucid) and go higher and higher, and I try to shape shift into an eagle or something, but it isn't really working, and either I fall back into a regular, non-lucid dream, or I wake up. I can't remember.
    10. Shaving My Head for Money

      by , 02-02-2014 at 02:36 PM
So in real life yesterday, I read a craigslist ad about how someone was filming a video and would pay 500 to 2500 dollars to a woman who is willing to get her head shaved for the video.

In my dream, I'm sitting at the end of our old dining room table with my mom sitting in front of me and to my left. I bring up the subject of getting at least 500 dollars for something that I'm not sure about, because it would be embarrassing, and right off the bat, she says, "if it has anything to do with shaving your head, then no" or something like that. I'm surprised and dissapointed.

Hopefully I'll come back and edit, because I know there was more that I recalled...

    11. Spock Plushie

      by , 12-29-2013 at 04:48 PM
My friend and I were messing around with these Spock plushies, and I pull up his black undershirt halfway up his face, and I turn to see that my friend has pulled his blue shirt halfway up his face, which looks more like a turtleneck more than his actual shirt. We're sitting their giggling and all, because we think it looks cute and silly, but then we turn and see the actual spock standing in front of us. He looks at us individually, then takes out of a white trashbag another spock plushie, which has both the undershirt and the blue shirt pulled up halfway up its face, and then he smiles that sassy smile that one often sees at the end of the episode with the corny jokes. It felt really good. =///u///=

Let's see.. at some point my GISHWHES stuff had finally arrived, but instead of books and t-shirts, they were a plate, some sort of plant in a pot, a cup, and some other stuff.

At some point my family and I were staying at this hotel that was pretty decent-looking even though it was only five dollars a night, and my friend came with us. We were staying very close to our cabin, but apparently the cabin had already been rented for the night. Our drinkable water came out of this portable pump thing that was sitting on the bed, and the cup under it was the one from my GISHWHES delivery.

At some point there was something about wild animals in a zoo, and my friend drawing envy-inducingly well, and these mean cats that I tried to scare away but who attacked my legs, though I felt nothing.

    12. Fake Dolphins and Mermaids, Stressful Things

      by , 11-21-2013 at 01:07 PM
I'm walking down a street with my mom and there is a big river or a lake to the right of us, and there's a guard rail on the right of the path as if the path were for cars instead of people. There's a building on the lake/river that is on stilts so that it is half on and half off of the water (no doubt caused by seeing the Dock too much in Age of Mythology). There are some people jumping into the lake/river and swimming around. Then, I see a orange mermaid with a long tail and a white head with no face or hair swimming slowly along. It stands out so much from the water that it looks more like it's in front of the water than in it. I point it out to my mom and she says something like, "oh my gosh! It's a beautiful bronze mermaid!" And I say something like," well, It's probably just a projection. See? Now there's a dolphin." And indeed, now the mermaid has disappeared and in her place is a dolphin that is doing loopty-loops and stuff, and it also looks like it's in front of the water rather than in it. My mom and I continue along to this museum thing, ,where outside of it there is a shallow but large pool of water in glass walls. I point and say, "look! more projections!" because there is a dolphin and an orca that is only a little bigger than the dolphin, and they are really in the water and they are at the bottom of the pool right up against a corner of the glass close to us. Mom points out that these aren't projections this time, but prosthetics. I have to agree with her. (They looked kind of creepy, by the way, kind of tattered, and they didn't move, just kind of drifted with the water a bit)

We enter the museum thing and I don't remember much, except that it had a large replica of a sunken (or sinking, but very battered) ship, with a painting of how it must have been in real life behind it (sunken ships are one of my biggest fears). There were some equally creepy stuff, and I hold on to my mom and request her to take me out, which she begins doing, but then I wake up.

In another dream, I'm playing Age of Mythology. The map is this one big island, with a bunch of small islands dotted all around the ocean. I have a player on the big island, but the enemy has a type of mythical creature that headbutts a character and sends the character flying a long distance, so my character fell into the water. This happened a second time, but instead of falling into the water, he fell right onto a boat that was square-shaped and like a floating building, which took the character to one of the small floating islands which was apparently on my side, although I had no knowledge of it until then (actually, then was when I found out about all the floating islands). However, a little later, the enemy swarms all of my bases with too many enemies for me, and I don't have very many resources yet, so I'm losing badly.

So I don't remember much since I didn't get much sleep (again!) but uh

I was with Herman from Pacific Rim and maybe one or two other people, but Herman was being kind of a jerk. We were on our way to a con and he had a magic ring like in Lord of the Rings, except that it looked like the silver ring from http://destiel-sterek-klaroline-hips...-misha-collins this post.

Wow is that really all I can remember?
      Wow that's sad.

    14. Age of Mythology and Turkeys

Don't remember much since I didn't get very much sleep and had to get up quickly..

But at some point I was playing Age of Mythology (with Isis, on an Egyptian map) and the enemy just kept sending many troops (I remember the anubits especially) again and again, and it was kind of stressful, and I was barely holding them back with my meager forces. I knew that they would win the game.

Yesterday, I also took a nap and had a dream that there were turkeys in my backyard (a few days ago there were deer there, irl). Then, I found that somehow some of them had gotten inside, and they were in the kitchen. I think about picking one up, but I thought it would be kind of gross. Then there's a scene change and it's a third-person view of me standing behind the kitchen bar looking at a turkey that I had picked up, and put on the bar. I'm making a slightly-grossed-out face at it, and my mom is standing about five or six feet behind me by the garage door, looking at it as well. The turkey has a beak that is long, thick, and sort of like a lumpy toucan's.

    15. Bats! :)

      by , 11-11-2013 at 04:07 AM
It's been a while so I don't remember much, but..

My parents are driving down a neighborhood street and I'm riding in the back. I see the biggest insectivore bats I've ever seen on top of roofs of houses - they were about the size of a large cat (a good thing for me). I get my parents to stop the car and I run out there and there is a normal-sized bat flying around that I manage to catch. There are a bunch of little kids around and I hold out the bat to the kids and teach them about it, and I allow it to lick their faces, which they enjoy.

In another part, I'm at my locker at school and my friend/locker partner is there, and we're putting in/getting out books from the locker. It's very awkward, since I've been away for a while and things are different.
