Driving, Shopping, and Gaming Around the World

I was driving across the world at insane speeds. Autumn figured it would take her too long if she drove, so I had the wheel. I crossed Africa in less than six minutes. From there, I cut across the ocean, over the Australian mountains, and north toward China. I managed to hop across Japan and circle back around through Russia.

The dream jumped. Autumn and I were invited to go shopping with this rich guy. I knew he was after Autumn… He had enough money to buy her everything she could ever want. Every time he suggested something, I watched her stare at it, trying to decide between hurting my feelings by accepting it and rejecting the guy by refusing it. Eventually, she told him she wasn’t interested. Chelsea thought the police were after her, but it was just a camera set to project flashing red and blue lights for the rave that was going on in an adjacent room. We walked over to an arcade and started playing this game with fish. The level scrolled upward while various fish tried to swim up toward you and eat you. Each player was equipped with a weapon. Mine was magical in nature; I could shoot beams of energy. Giant sharks appeared. I was convinced that we would both die… My attacks didn’t seem to do anything. I quickly noticed power-up items bouncing across the screen. I had to use the offensive power-ups to stun the shark before I could hurt him. First came a fire flower, then ice, and then an invincibility star. I was the first to kill my shark and continue to the end of the level.

I was Mario. Princess Peach was trapped in a cage just above me. All that separated us was a barrier of blocks – some breakable, others not. I had a tough time trying to get through the barrier. In addition to the problem of blocks turning into unbreakable ones when I hit them, I couldn’t allow myself to fall… I would die instantly! I jumped across some blocks scattered below the barrier to the other side. Over there, I was able to break a path to the platform above. Three toads appeared to escort me and Peach to safety. I picked up two of them and threw them off-screen.

The dream jumped. I was playing on another level that was like Pokemon. Autumn, Rayn, Symphony, and I had to fight Meowth. It was surprisingly difficult. I gained an appreciation for a Pokemon’s strength when Meowth nearly took down Autumn in one hit. Rayn apologized for not healing her right away, but she needed to put a protective barrier over all of us. Autumn struck Meowth with her scythe, dealing critical damage. When she attacked, her eyes turned purple and expelled purple flames. The rest of her body seemed to turn into a shadow. After Autumn came my turn. Most of my attacks were a combination of light and darkness. I used one that was like a storm on Meowth and finished him off.

Orphan, Colored Chairs, and Spy Hunting

I was in Chicago. On my way to the train platform at my school, I encountered a shirtless child. He was no older than nine years old (and probably younger, I thought). When I asked him how he got there, he said he couldn’t remember. He had just always been there. I interpreted this as a sign that his parents had abandoned him at an early age. Attempting to do the right thing, I took him on the train with me toward the nearest orphanage. Some guy asked me if what I was doing was the best option for the child. I confessed that I had no way of knowing, so I could only make an educated guess and hope for the best.

The dream jumped. I was in some kind of humanities class. We all had assigned seats that were color-coded to help us remember. Mine was pink and white. When I came into the classroom, someone else was sitting in my seat. He moved when he saw me. The coloring was a little off in the pink portions of the chair. My instructor announced that we would start class in a few minutes. I read the back cover of a fantasy novel on my desk. It was a new series by Terry Goodkind about fairies. Critics said that unlike the Sword of Truth series – which “only took flight once” – this series was a constant adventure. I decided it was probably worth reading.

The dream jumped. I watched a man hunting down an international spy. Armed with a cheap gun he could barely afford and a phone with a GPS, he followed the spy all over the world. When he finally caught up, they met at a cocktail party. The spy made it his business to speak with everyone at the party at least once. When the hunter’s turn came, they both pulled out their guns on one another.

“Don’t make this too easy on me,” the spy laughed. The gun clicked. The hunter swallowed hard as he prepared to fire. One wrong move, and they would both be killed. The party continued in the background as though nothing had happened.

    Synopsis Not Found

I had a dream in which I thought I was writing down a previous dream involving Andrea and her mom. Rather than writing out the whole dream in my post, I just gave a quick summary of everything that happened. WordPress was running extremely slow.

Game Show of Life Goals (Portions omitted)

    ...

Within a few minutes, the announcer welcomed the game show participants. Andrea was one of them. I also noticed Symphony among the list of competitors. I hoped she would do well. Each participant had to carry a board with their life goals written all over it from their starting position up to the stage. Once they made it on stage, they would recite their goals for the audience. It was basically an introductory thing… Anyone who couldn’t get to the stage with their goals or had boring, generic ones when it was their turn to speak would be eliminated. I was really disappointed when Andrea showed up with her goal board. It was twenty feet tall and made of a flexible material, so it kept bending forward and backward. I made myself invisible to everyone but her and helped carry it. Even with my help, it was way too heavy… It touched the ground at one point. The judges didn’t seem to notice. I let Andrea continue on her own when we neared the platform.

As I watched, she fell off the ladder leading up to the stage. She seemed to think that it would be easier if she pushed the ladder over to the other end of the stage and climbed it there. When I glanced over, I saw a metal ladder waiting on the other side. There was no point in bringing that one there… She could’ve just walked. Her ladder fell over, and she landed face first in the dirt. The audience erupted in laughter. Andrea stared at the crowd like a deer in headlights when she sat up. It was clear that she wasn’t ready for this sort of thing. Someone helped her stand the ladder upright and climb to the top, but when she made it on the stage, she couldn’t remember her goals anymore.

“I wrote something interesting for my goals…” she explained. “Um… I hope everyone does well.” When she stepped away from the microphone, the audience was silent. I knew her goals wouldn’t be interesting enough to qualify her for the next round.
