    Using Soul Gems

I was playing Perfect World. I obtained a special soul gem that increased all experience values by 12%, but when I put it on my armor, I realized I used the wrong piece of equipment! The armor I was wearing was much better than the one I fused the soul gem to. Although this new armor had higher physical defense, it required a lot more strength and intelligence than I had, so there wasn’t much I could do. I found some more soul gems in my inventory and decided to use them.

Disorganized Dream of Power, Symphony's Sword, and One Piece

I waited outside a shack for a while, intending to sneak in, perform a bit of summoning magic, and sneak back out without anyone noticing. A cauldron inside had been prepared to summon weaponry from the Plane of Power. If I could recover Symphony’s sword, I just might be able to revive her… I looked around carefully before approaching the door. Just then, a Hlaalu officer approached me. I groaned. He would follow me inside for sure…

With the guard on my heels, there was no way for me to sneak in. Everyone noticed my entrance. I took a seat around the cauldron with everyone else. To my surprise, the woman tending to the cauldron was using this powerful magic to cook macaroni and cheese for Nicole. She didn’t think the food was good enough, though, so she didn’t want Nicole to eat any. Nicole and I pleaded with her until she gave in. The whole time, the guard kept his eyes fixed on me… I wished he would just leave. He tried to get me to roleplay as Lokk Lanzer, but I refused.

The scenery changed around us. I was standing on some kind of forest path. A kangaroo hopped toward me. When it got close enough, it tried to kick me in the face! I turned and ran for my life down the path. I could sprout wings and fly for short periods of time, but I always ended up back on the ground. My solution was to use my short bursts of flight to skip over sections of forest that the kangaroo would have to weave its way through. I couldn’t go too deep into the woods, however, or I would have the same problem. I hopped over rows of trees and ran through open fields on the other side. While I ran, I heard Alex Milhazes speaking to me using the kangaroo’s body.

“Summon her already!” he laughed. “I know what you’re here for! Summon the warsystem and surrender it to our cause!”

“She’s not in the Plane of Power!” I protested. What I wanted to summon was her sword, not the robot herself. I gave it a try, and everything seemed to collapse.

I found myself in a dark void. I still wasn’t aware that this had all been a dream, but I decided I should type it in my dream journal. A text box appeared. I changed the account so it sounded like I was just roleplaying a scene in which everyone gathered around the cauldron was roleplaying. A game within a game, so to speak. I wondered what it would be like to play Dungeons and Dragons with Symphony…

The dream jumped. Sanji was running from transvestites in Shady Grove. When he managed to knock all of them out, he stood over their unconscious bodies and warned them not to mess with the strongest. Luffy was sitting right behind him on a tree branch.

“The strongest?” Luffy asked with a scowl. “You’re full of it, Sanji. Come back to my crew when you have a little modesty.” Sanji was horrified. Nami and Robin’s anguished faces flashed through his mind. He chased after Luffy, but he wasn’t able to catch up.

The dream jumped. Chopper was defending a library inside a tree from invading soldiers. He destroyed a section of the floor to get to the basement quickly. Usopp was waiting there with a tiny slingshot. He waited in the shadows behind the door while the soldiers rushed into the basement. He fired an instant too soon – just before they entered. The man leading the attack held back his men.

“Stop,” he said. “They’re waiting to ambush us.” As he entered slowly, Usopp prepared to fire again… It wasn’t necessary; I appeared from the darkness with Apheri in one hand and Symphony’s sword in another. It was a peculiar, snow white sword with a square base. The blade, too, was box-shaped. The edges of the box were incredibly sharp, though.

“That’s as far as you go,” I warned the soldiers in the doorway.
