Nebulus

D1 - Am at some kind of camp where people are competing. We are trying to get points in some kind of event. All gets a bit abstract something to do with a line with a gold thread on it and our team need to try and secure another part of it (this repeats).
Meet up with some other groups who are dressed up like different types of commando gear but all in white. We have a little show down with the regular cadets who we are clearly superior to.
A new match is about to begin and the "referee" for want of a better word says he will not be phased by our team.
Our player is a guy with a grey beard as long zz-top and is maddly cackling and laughing at what the ref said.
He is dressed in black and it is night time but he is illuminated by weird purple lightning and light reflected of grey smoke around him. He scares the b-jesus out of the ref.

D2 - Am in a futuristic city, with the usual disparate bands of people wearing scruffy clothes and looking like they've never seen mtv.
I have a metal hand held device which is kind of rectangular (I realise this is due to my incubation from before D1).
Finding my way across the city which looks very grey , I need to find my way to somewhere but i haven't a clue how to get there so I need to stop to ask some locals. But I don't totally trust them, particularly a blond haired guy who seems to be the leader. I need to get on urgently with my mission.
They point me in the right direction and I use my device to fly up through a hatch so I can look out across the city and over to where i'm aiming at.
It turns out my mission is to save the world from genetically (or something) modified wheat.

D3 - I am a college professor and am talking to an old guy with glasses who was a business graduate apparently. We are standing in the doorway of my house. I then leave with a very yellow looking wheat sandwich (it actually has wheat poking out of it) and arrive in the playground. There L and her double are sitting. Her double has blond hair instead of her dark hair.

the gold thread which runs through these dreams (pun intended) ?? only thing golden thread reminds me of is the bit in disney's hercules when the three fates try and cut his golden life thread...hmmm curious indeed
