- Red means lucid, yeah! - Ophelia's Book O' Fun (my first DJ)
Fun morning! Went to bed at 1am (I was baking bread late last night, bad Ophelia), and woke up at 5:30am when Danny went to work, then again at 6:45am when it was time to get Chris to school. I went back to sleep at about 8am, making myself think of the TOTMs (The cupid one and the clock one) so I could remember them later if I got lucid. I woke up maybe around 9am, and felt tired enough to try to WILD. I was able to initiate the vibrations again, which was bad ass. I gotta be the right level of tired though, because I tried a few times when I wasn't tired enough and it doesn't work. I forgot to incubate a new scene, so when I opened my dream eyes I was in my bed. I slowly sat up in my bed and saw a handsome man sitting on the edge of my bed. I said "Who are you?" He said some garbled things but I picked up the word "Lane," which was the middle name of my bf in college. "Michael!!" We hugged, and he wanted to make out (he looked goooooooOOOOD!), but I wanted to do the cupid task. I knew it wouldn't count because Michael isn't a celebrity or DV member, but I just wanted to see if we could find Cupid. So I grabbed Michael's hand and we left the bedroom. I tried calling Cupid, expecting to see him, but no Cupid. I told Michael to call him but he wouldn't. I even put my fingers on Michael's lips and made them move as if he was calling out "Cupid!", while I made the sound. Lol. Then I put my hands together, and imagined that Cupid was forming in my hands, then I threw them up in the air, as if to make Cupid manifest that way. Didn't fucking work. I suck at conjuring people I gave up and turned to Michael and we made out for a few seconds before I woke up. I half way rolled over, then rolled back and decided to try to initiate vibrations again. I was able to get them started, but it was like an engine that wouldn't turn over at first. So I tried to focus harder on the back of my eyelids and forehead, saying "focus focus" to myself again. It worked and I opened my dream eyes into an LD as usual. I forgot AGAIN to incubate a new scene, so I was in my bedroom AGAIN lol. That part is so new to me and has to happen super quick, so I need to add the word "incubate!" to my little mini "focus" mantra me thinks. Me, mantra? Haha, who woulda thunk? Anyway, I got out of bed and left my bedroom. RIGHT as I opened my bedroom dorr, I was trying to think of another task to try, and I thought "CLOCK." As soon as I walked out the door, I was outside in an alley behind a restaurant in Europe it looked like. And there was a little bench with a big wall clock laying on it! It was just a plain old round one with a white background, just like the ones they had at school when I was young. And yay it had a second hand. I don't remember what time it was, but I remember that the second hand was right on the 12, and it was ticking. It looked perfectly normal and vivid, so I picked it up and held it in front of my face, counting as it went along. It looked just fine, and 5 seconds had gone by when I thought to myself, "I so got this!" (fffuuu). As soon as the second hand ticked 7 times, the numbers started to flip. The 6 and 7 swapped places. Then the second hand would tick too far of a distance, then rewind a bit, and it would land inappropriately in between the tick marks. I watched for a few more seconds then woke up. Haha oh well. My subC: the Troll of Trolls.
I got lucky with this early WILD; I'm on vacation, and when I sleep in a strange place, I wake up alot and I sometimes get vibrations at 5 or 6 in the morning and don't have to wait to sleep in late. I've been vacationing so now I don't remember all the dream, but I'll record all the bits I remember. Anyway, I woke up from an almost nightmare (nonlucid). It was really abstract, but still scary somehow. It ended with me looking at some musical notations, and feeling scary vibrations. I woke up, and tried to recreate the vibrations. They weren't properly kicking in. Felt kinda like trying to start a car with little or no gas. Finally after 3 or 4 attempts, I initiated them again and said to myself "Focus focus focus focus..." Finally the engine turned over and I quickly imagined a scene with a sunrise. I opened my dream eyes and I think it was still the hotel bedroom. And it was really dark. I struggled with the blankets a little and got up very slowly. I was able to rub my hands together and just will myself to see better, which helped a little (what usually helps the most is to ignore all this sight drama and begin focusing on a goal and eventually things clear up). I went into the hotel bathroom and looked in the mirror. I looked like a creepy girl from one of those Japanese horror movies, like The Ring or something. It freaked me out a little, so to calm down I just acted the character. I growled and snarled at my reflection. I remember feeling my heart beat faster (don't know if it was my real heart or residue). I left the bathroom and don't remember what happened in those exact moments after. Next thing I remember I see a big glass window leading to a backyard that I don't recognize. Happy that I can see better, I go to the window and push through it I end up on the other side, and I see all these different flowering bushes. I think to myself "What the heck I'll try the basic task with the flower." I went to several bushes (I remember one with daisies and another with sweet william), but each time I got up close, the flower wilted and died before I could even pick one. The last bush I remember had big dark red blossoms on it. I picked one fast and it looked ok, not great, but passable. I turned around and saw that I was in a garden behind this little white house. An old indian man came out of the back door, and headed toward his sit-down lawn mower. Before he could start it, I said "Here ya go!" and handed him the rose. He said "I don't want it," and began mowing his backyard lawn. I kept following him and said "No you have to take it man, it's for the TOTM." Finally he took it, begrudgingly, and said, "It's all about you, isn't it? I bet you wouldn't even become a Christian." I lied and said, "No no, it's cool. I'll go to church with you I promise." And that's all I remember about that part. Later I remember going back inside, and ended up in the hotel bathroom again. My reflection looked just like me, and I remember playing around, making funny faces at myself, and thinking that this dream was really lasting a while. I couldn't think of anything else to do, so I just kept monkeying around in the bathroom until I woke up.
So this is the 3rd time I've had a nonlucid about this big black wolf. The last 2 dreams he saved me from trouble. This time, I thought he was going to attack me but he just wanted to play. I tried to think up a name for him in the dream, all I could come up with was Shadow. He's really a super dark charcoal gray, not really black. Anyway, I may add more later but, meh..
I had me a bad ass experience early this morning. In a nutshell, I was able to purposefully induce WILD vibrations, instead of just happening upon them like I normally do. Then I incubated a scene (super quickly during those few seconds of vibrations), that was something OTHER than me in my bed in my bedroom. I remember what I did and I believe I can repeat it *fingers crossed* But first, the DILD I had prior to this WILD: It started out nonlucid, and all I remember is that I was jumping up and down in this really fancy pool at night time. There were some odd reliefs just behind the pool, carved out of a giant rock hill. They looked a bit like something off of Easter Island. Beautiful, well maintained gardens surrounded the pool. Anyway, everytime I jumped, I would come clean out of the water, then hover for a moment, then splash back down. The pool was only maybe 3 feet deep. Like the kind for doing laps. I must have become somewhat semi-lucid because I started wondering if I could create fireworks each time I jumped, like in the TOTM. I was able to do it, but they weren't really bright. I even said to myself, "This is a dream, so light and dark is just in your mind. Your eyes aren't real right now, so the fireworks will be brighter" Not much happened there, but the carved reliefs were becoming more and more sinister looking. I plopped back into the water, and fully realized "Hey I'm dreaming!" and then I woke up. I was lying on my right side, and felt the urge to roll over. I did partially, then decided to keep in the same position and try for a WILD. I did this indescribable thing that I always do to concentrate the vibrations once they start. But they hadn't started yet, I just kinda mentally went "fishing" for them, if that makes any sense. They came, but the first round was really weak. I tried again, and they flooded over me just like they normally do. Then I decided that in those few seconds, where I normally wait to "open my dream eyes" and start out the LD in my room, I tried to imagine another place. ANY other place. And I waited for it to form on my eyelids, and skip the whole "open eyes" thing, because I believe that's just a schema I created for myself, unintentionally. I saw some bright sunlight and a sparkly blue sky appear, and a window. A huge window, like the whole wall was window. With a little cushion seat. I was still lying on a bed in the same position though lol. But it was most definitely not my room, and I didn't recognize anything outside of the window. I got up slowly, and things were so vivid. I could hear the sound of me moving in the bed, moving the blankets, my skin scraping across the sheets. I wondered if I was hearing residual sounds of my real body moving around in the bed irl. So I proceeded slowly. I got to the window and looked outside: it was a sparkly day, with snow melting away from buildings and trees that were not familiar. Christmas lights hung loosely from some of the trees and bushes. I pressed my head to the window and moved through it. When I got outside, things changed It got darker (ffuu), but I just plodded along down the block. I walked past that SAME pool, which made me mad for some reason. "Really?!" I didn't want to revisit it. Those carvings still looked icky to me. I wish I had thought of the basic ski task though, since at least that water was shallow and I had already been in it. Oh well. I couldn't really think of much to do, and I was getting a bit randy anyway. I found a clothing shop with some women inside, so I went in... I'll regale the rest of that tale later, Chris is having a fucking melt down over the xbox right now. Stay tuned for part II: sex in the dressing room. So I'm walking past the dressing rooms in the shop, and I have successfully transgendered. I see a pretty woman in one dressing room, chatting with her mom. I ask the mom permission to have fun with her daughter. I'm feeling suddenly awkward, because I have my thing out, and I'm just holding it lol. No one seems to care, and I know it's just a dream anyway. I still couldn't help but feel a little weird about that haha. Anyway, I start taking her clothes off, when the store manager says we can't do it in the dressing rooms, so he directs us to the bathrooms. He said "Don't worry, they're right around the corner." I grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her into the bathroom. I plopped her on the long sink counter, and I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I looked like me, but more college age. I was even wearing one of those stupid flannel shirts that I used to wear, and my hair and make-up were all done up nicely. Then I glanced down and there was my hand, holding my dick lol. I'll never unremember that image. I got her pants off, and got half-way through one thrust then woke up. Damn. Sex in front of a mirror would have been cool to watch. Haha oh well.
Had quite a morning. I had to close at work so I slept from 1:30am to 5:30am when Danny got up for work. I couldn't get to sleep because my fan wasn't working (I need the white noise). After I got Chris to school at 7:15am, it took maybe 45min before I finally got back to sleep. I woke up a little bit later because I swore I heard my daughter Nicole come home from school. I thought that she must have gotten sick and got a ride home. I heard her talking on the phone, and some doors open and close. Something didn't feel right though. I rolled over to listen more carefully in case I was imagining things, when I felt some super strong vibrations. I knew then that what I'd heard was auditory HH (I used to get those a long time ago). So I went with the vibes and slipped into an LD. I struggled with the blankets as I tried to get out of my bedroom. I wondered if I would see the DC version of Nicole, so I could ask her to guess a number from 1 - 100. I saw a really reduced version of her in the hall, coming at me fast! I pushed her away and went to the livingroom. I tried to call out to her to ask her the question, but my voice was paralyzed, shit. i tried again, but my vision faded and then woke up. When I woke up, I thought I could still here doors and stuff, weird. I felt vibrations again, so I thought COOL a second chance. This time I didn't even have to open my dream eyes. As soon as the vibrations washed over me, I could see my room through my eyelids, and the TV remote control was hovering above my nightstand. That was a new one for me haha. I got up more quickly and marched straight out the door. I saw a normal version of Nicole this time, but her glasses were different. I was about to speak, when I noticed my voice and eyesight failing again. I thought quickly, and turned to a lamp in our living room. As I went for the lamp, I said a mantra in my head: "Once you turn on this light, you WILL be able to see and you WILL be able to speak." I turned it on, and I could see. I picked it up (don't know why I did this), and pointed the light in Nicole's face, almost like one would shine a light on someone to interrogate them. I said easily, "I'm thinking of a number between 1 - 100, what is it?" I had preselected the number 42 in waking life, because I knew I would remember it in the dream. Nicole giggled and answered, "That's sorty new!" I laughed at her and the fact that her answer rhymed with 42. She went to her room and I went outside. I was thinking about trying the firework task while I was still dreaming. When I went out the door, I was standing on a foothill, over looking a trail that cut through a small forest. The trail ended at a body of water that was either the sea or a really large lake. There were wooden newel posts at the start of the trail. I picked up some dirt and leaves on the ground and placed them on the flat top of one of the posts. I willed a lighter to appear, and a little black cigarette lighter sat just to the right of my little pile. I imagined that when I lit it, it would shoot into the air and become fireworks. I lit it but nothing happened. No worries, I really just wanted to go down that trail hehe. It was dark but I wasn't scared. I noticed that the moon was just beginning to rise just to the east of the sea. It seemed to break through some kind of ice, or crystals. As it rose, I thought of that song "Walking Man's Road" from The Last Unicorn. So I started down the trail, singing the song as an invisible band accompanied me. As I walked and sang, little forest animals began walking along side me. When I got to my favorite line, a small black bear bit my hand. I removed my hand from his mouth easily, but I was mad that he interrupted my favorite part. I sang a couple more lines then woke up. I fell back to sleep after feeling more vibrations. The vibrations didn't lead to anything, and I began having a non lucid. I was at dinner party that looked like a wedding reception. It was outside, under one of those big white tents, with little white lights strung everywhere. I was sitting with 6 or 7 other guests at one of the round tables with white tablecloth, white napkins and white china and candles and a floral centerpiece. I was staring at a picture of a young man that the man next to me was showing me. He was telling me about him, when it suddenly dawned on me that I had JUST woken from a dream not moments ago. I thought how lucky I was to be having another lucid! Still the the fireworks task on my mind, I started taking random things from the table and stacking them together: a namecard holder, a fork, a napkin, and I can't remember what else. I looked up and noticed that there was a hole in the center of the tent that revealed stars and the night sky. I yelled at a passing waiter to bring me a lighter, but then I remembered that there were candles on the table. I lit my pile of stuff and waited. I said to the guests, "Hold on to your seats, this is gonna shoot up into the air!" It took a few moments, and I began to doubt. Then the pile shot up through the hole in the tent, and burst into tiny, cute little fireworks with several tiny "pop!" sounds. They sparkled and vanished for a few moments, right at the tent's opening. Of course I was hoping for a huge firework show, but I thought it was kinda cute that I managed to set one off that was more intimate, and appropriate for a reception setting. Then I went nonlucid or woke up, I can't remember.
Well, it wasn't ACTUALLY a shared lucid, but here's what happened (so weird): I had a DILD, but I don't remember what triggered it. But I was in my livingroom with my son, and I remember being lucid. And I was talking to Chris about lucid dreaming, and he said that HE was also lucid dreaming right now. In fact, he believed that it was HIS lucid dream and that I was just a dream character in his dream. I said "No YOU'RE a DC and this is MY dream." We finally agreed that we were both having a shared lucid dream lol. So I began instructing him on how to stabilize, and perform reality checks etc. I remember telling him to look at his hands, and I looked at mine, although mine looked fairly normal at the time. Then we got distracted because there were a bunch of dog peepee puddles on the wood floor, so I was getting towels and trying to instruct Chris to step between the puddles. Then I was like "Hold on! We're sharing an LD and I'm wasting time on pee puddles!" So I made to decision to take Chris outside and teach him to fly. Then I woke up. Ahhhh I was so mad! I mean, I know we didn't actually share this dream (you can disagree if you want, I just don't believe in it), but I really wanted to teach Chris to fly in an LD, while the DC version of him actually believed he was lucid. I think that would have been a cool experience. Yeah it would have been even cooler if it actually WAS a shared dream, but real life Chris has no memory of it. And I don't believe it anyway. I already said that. Oh and, I have been reading a story where these 2 people keep having shared lucid dreams, and they had the same argument "It's my dream, and you're a fabrication. Nuh uh, this is MY dream and YOU'RE the fabrication." So I blame that dream on that story. Still fun though.
I had an accidental WBTB this morning, and I'm glad I did! I forgot that my alarm was set for 6:45am, even though I'm off today. And actually, I had woken up about an hour before that, and barely got back to sleep before the alarm went off. So after the 6:45 alarm, I went pee, got some water, messed with my phone a bit, and finally went back to sleep. As I was gradually waking up again, I had one of those weird DILDs, which were the type of lucid dream that originally got me to seek out DreamViews. It's hard to explain, but what basically happens is that I partially wake up, but I am still dreaming. I can feel myself lying in my bed, but I'm not fully awake. I know I'm still dreaming because there is someone in bed with me in these dreams. Usually in these DILDish type things, I'm making out with a guy. It lasts for a few minutes before I wake up. I knew I was alone irl because Danny fell asleep on the couch last night because he caught a bug or something. Anyway, in this DILD, I could feel myself in my bed, and I was making out with a CHICK haha. She was really pretty with long brown hair, in her 20s or so. She was totally naked too. I know I didn't have much time, so I reached down my pajama pants, and summoned boy parts to form. They obliged me as usual. I was able to start having sex with her for maybe 30 seconds before I woke up. I rolled over and noticed I was alone in the bed. Poor Danny really passed out on the couch for the whole night. Anyway, I closed my eyes and got the familiar vibrations. I waited for them to wave over me until I was satisfied that I was in a dream. I opened my eyes and was in my usual WILD setting. I got out of bed slowly, always cautious so as not to move my real life body, just in case. I remembered that I had already decided that I just wanted to let this LD do it's own thing, and I wouldn't try to control anything, or summon anything, or attempt a TOTM. I just wanted to see what my subC would make if I just went along with it. So I started for the bedroom door. Then I heard something creepy shuffling behind me. I just caught a glimpse of white fabric moving near the bed, so I bolted out the door. I left the bedroom and walked to the front door then went into the yard. Not much happening there.. just looked like my block, kinda cloudy. Then it looked like someone had turned a dinner switch. I watched as everything went from cloudy and gloomy, to almost night time. I decided to try and make the sun rise. It started to look a bit lighter behind some of the clouds. So then I tried to move the clouds out of the way. Just like the last time I tried something similar in an LD, I could get the clouds to break up a bit, but it never got that light out. So I gave up and went back in the house and into the bathroom and closed the door. I thought about going through the mirror. It The bathroom was nice and well lit. I was wearing my glasses, so I took them off and looked at my eyeball real close in the mirror. The lashes were much longer, and the irises were a sparkly emerald green. Then I heard a knock at on the bathroom door. I thought "Cool, a DC finally!" I opened the door, and standing there in the hall was a young asian girl with long black hair, may 13 years old or so. She was wearing bright colored school clothes, but something about her creeped me out. She didn't talk, but made these kinda slurping noises, like she was constantly drooling and sucking it back into her mouth. I couldn't see her face behind the hair. I was totally having a "The Ring" moment, but I wasn't too scared since I knew I was dreaming. I let her in the bathroom, and she kept with the freaky slurpy sounds, a little growling, and strange vibrating movements (like in that Sober video by tool). Other than that she didn't move, she just stood next to me in front of the mirror, being her creepy ass self. I wondered if I could get rid of her by shoving her through the mirror portal. So I grabbed the back of her neck, and tried to shove her through the mirror. But it was like I really grabbed someone and shoved them into a mirror, because her forehead hit the glass and left a bloody mark on it. Oh jeeeeesus. So I just jumped through the mirror myself to get away from her. I rolled out the other side and ended up right in my bedroom again. Mother fuck. I left the room, went back to the bathroom, and saw the creepy girl still in there. This time, I just shoved her out of the bathroom doorway, then shut and locked the door. Before I could try the mirror again, I woke up. So if I do nothing in a dream, I end up somewhere with no control over light, and I just end up sitting there in the dark like an idiot. It's more fun if I actually DO something. Oh well, I try the nothing a couple more times, but I'm not all that excited about it. Anyway, after I woke up from that freaky-deaky dream, I felt vibrations again. This is kinda neat: I was putting a little bit of effort into my breathing while I felt the vibrations, because my nose has been a little congested lately. As the vibrations washed over me, I never stopped breathing like that. I was worried that it would prevent me from flipping over into an LD. But I waited the normal time period of a few seconds as the vibrations strengthened, then opened my eyes. Boom, I was in my WILD environment per normal! Lol, "normal." Anyway, no more bathrooms today, so I got out of bed slowly, left the bedroom and went into the livingroom. Which turned into my parents' family room. I noticed some people talking on the couch, and one of them was a certain DC I have been wanting to hook up with for aaaaaaaages. Thank you Lady Luck!! I marched right up to him and grabbed his arm, then pulled him into the guestroom, which was the closest bedroom to us at the moment. I pulled off his shirt fast, and he was caught in it for a moment You know, like when you pull a shirt over your head, but your arms are still in it haha. We stripped so fast I don't remember how we got naked, a little lucid movie magic perhaps. Anyway, keeping it G, he was on top of me, and we were doing IT for a bit. I looked at his face (so cooooool, there he was, there was his face! I was so giddy), and touched his nose. He has an aquiline nose in real life, and I like it of course. He made a shy expression and looked down so his long black hair blocked my view of his nose. I said "No no, I like it." We kept going for a while, which felt really really good. I didn't want to wake up. But real life was waiting for me on the other side. Siiiiiigh...... and before I woke up, the last thing I remember was the feel of the skin on his butt cheeks in my hands as he was doing you know what to me.
My usual routine, 6:45am WBTB, then back to sleep an hour or so later. It's taking me longer and longer to get back to sleep, which I think is actually helping me attain lucidity more often then if I just immediately crash. I woke up and felt some quick vibrations. I was lying on my back, and I waited a few seconds to slowly open my eyes. The room was too dark as usual, which was the indication that I was lucid. I slowly disentangled myself from the blankets, and sat up in bed. Danny was asleep next to me in real life, and his DC was there now in the dream. I tried to get out slowly without waking the DC, because DC Danny can be pretty unpredictable sometimes. He bolted upright in the bed, said some gibberish, then crashed back down. Mkay. I got up and left the room after struggling with my eyelids for a second. When I got to the livingroom, I looked out the sliding glass door that leads to the backyard, and it was snowing like crazy! I think my subC really likes snow now. Fine by me. That'll be a nice break from the heat when summer rolls around. I had to think for a second to remember that the TOTM I wanted to do was not snow, but the xmas ghosts. I didn't think of one specifically (I don't believe I chose past, present or future that I can recall), then the front door opened. What I can only guess was the ghost of Christmas future walked through the opened door, dressed like the guy from the movie Scream. Definitely not happening. I said "Oh HELL no!" and a bottle of water instantly appeared in my hand. I aimed it at the ghost and sprayed him with water. He tried to block the water wildly with his hands, then slipped and fell backwards out the door, and it slammed shut. I ran into the kitchen, which opened up into my parents' big beautiful kitchen. There was an ethereal looking blonde woman standing behind the island counter. I asked her if she was the ghost of Christmas past. She said "Yes." So I said "Hey, I just hosed down the ghost of Christmas future, do you think he'll be mad?" She said "No, it's fine." So I said, "Ok, show me my past!" She walked to the refrigerator, opened it, and pulled out a bottle of Sierra Nevada Torpedo Ale. It was already open. I said, "Alright! I love this ale, I used to drink it all the time!" So the ghost said, "I know, it's from your past." really. I suppose that makes sense, I have put back quite a few ales in my day. Then suddenly every square inch of the island counter and the other kitchen counters were covered with food. Not like someone had just cooked a banquet, but more like someone had just gone grocery shopping and hadn't put the groceries up yet. Boxed food, bagged food, canned food, bags of produce, etc. I said "What's all this?" The ghost replied, "This is the 'Food of Generosity,' which you have never denied your fellow man." D'awwwwwwwwwww I think the dream ended or went nonlucid after that, I don't remember anymore. I didn't get all 3 ghosts to take me anywhere, but at least I know what my subC thinks of me: I like to booze up and spread my wealth. Kinda like Dionysus I guess haha. I'm the goddess of food, booze and parties.
I remembered a lucid fragment from the other night. I was standing in front of a topless engineer from Prometheus. I wanted to compare our height difference before making my move. I walked up to him, and I was eye level with his abs. The dream immediately faded. Don't remember how I became lucid, I think it was the really premature start of a DEILD because I remember having just woken up before that dream started and was already lucid. I had also just incubated a scene with the alien. Getting closer Ophelia! You can do this!!
I had a non lucid where 2 girlfriends of mine who were lovers, adopted a baby. Either that or one of them got artificially inseminated, can't remember. Anyway, one of the girls bailed on the other, leaving her alone to raise the baby. So I moved in with her to help. I was basically the "dad" of the relationship, since I was the one working. Not meaning to sound sexist, that was just how the dream felt. Something looked wrong in the baby's eyes, so we took her to the doctor. He told us she had a brain tumor and they would have to operate. I felt like someone had torn out my stomach. I was raising this child as my own, so I felt like my life was over if she died. The tumor was right behind her eyes, so they were going to have to go in through her eyes somehow. I had a chair and table by the window, with a phone and little potted plant. I just sat there all day long, waiting to get updates on the surgery. I was too afraid to get up to take a shower, in fear of missing a call. Woke up with a bad emotional hangover.
I need to go back to those cutesie DJ titles. Anyway, same WBTB at 6:45am. I think it was closer to 8:30am when I finally got back to sleep though... I remember waking up and lying on my back. I opened my eyes and there was something weird on the ceiling. By the time I focused on it, I woke up for real. So I went back to sleep, and same thing happened: I opened my eyes and the ceiling had an odd fixture on it. Not gonna fool me this time! So I slowly got out of bed, remarking that this was the quickest WILD transition I ever had.. no vibrations or nuthin! As I was leaving the bedroom, blanket were stuck on me. Even as I started down the hall, the corner of the blanket was still stuck to my foot. I gave one last kick and freed myself. I knew that irl, Danny had just come home from a doctor's appointment, so I wondered if I would see his DC in the livingroom, but I didn't. I was thinking of the snow TOTM, so I went for the front door. Irl I wondered that if I attempted this task, would my subC remember that it's cold outside. It didn't. It was like a muggy spring day, but cloudy. I always suck at weather changing, but I just put my hands up in the air in front of me. I began wiggling them, and sure enough, little sparkly white snow began to fall. And they were ice cold! I couldn't believe it worked! They would hit my skin, then melt. I noticed they weren't quite making it to the ground, so I amplified my hand gestures, bringing my hands up and down at the same time. The snow got heavier, and began collecting on the ground in spots. I started danging and hoping around, still waving my hands. I could hear it crunch beneath my feet. I was laughing and (so gay I know), little tears formed in my eyes because I was so happy it worked. The flurries of snow seems to follow exactly what I did. If I stopped, they stopped, if I danced more, they came back. I felt like a wizard, it was so magical. I wanted to make REALLY thick snow now, so I exaggerated my arms even more. The sky got so dark, an aubergine color almost. The air got colder, and the snow blew in all different directions. I stopped dancing and noticed I was standing in front of someone's pool. I wondered if I could freeze the water and walk on it haha. So I pointed my finger at it, and it partially froze on the edges, then melted. I tried harder, same thing. I got down on my knees and blew on it, a la Superman, still didn't freeze solid enough. It was creepy dark water, reflecting the creepy dark sky, so no way in hell I'm walking on scary ass dream water. I looked up at the sky and thought about going up and attempting the aurora task. But it was just too damn dark and scary. Everything felt so real, and I didn't really want to see what my subC had in store for me up in there! I tried to remember the other advanced task: Ghosts! So I ran back inside the house, willing the ghost of xmas past to appear. I saw an old man sitting in a recliner in the middle of the livingroom. He looked just like Buddy Hacket (who, ironically, played Scrooge in the movie Scrooged). I walked up to him, and asked him if he was the ghost of xmas past? He said yes. I shook his hand, then woke up. I tried to go back to sleep, thinking about that whole dream and willing myself to remember every detail. I gradually ended up in a dream nonlucid, where now instead of thinking about the lucid I had just had, I was telling my manager Nicole in my backyard about making it snow. I suddenly remembered that i was JUST thinking about my dream in bed. Lucid! I love it when that happens. SO I said to her, wanna see me make it snow? So I did it again haha! Then I remembered the ghost again, so I ran in the house again, there he was again, and I woke up again.
Broke that dry spell finally, even if it was just a quick DILD. I went to be around midnight. Woke up at 6:45am, then went back to sleep at about 7:45am. I woke up a couple more times and finally went to sleep and started having a nonlucid. I don't remember the nonlucid, and I don't remember how I became lucid because I was bad and kept going back to sleep after and didn't write anything down. Anyway, I was lucid in some version of my bedroom. I remembered the Christmas Carol task right away, so I started singing Jingle Bells. Jingle Bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh, hey! Jingle Bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh, hey! I got all the way through with no problem! I was even kinda skipping around and dancing while singing it, it felt like second nature. I did notice however, that the sound of my voice was a little different. It sounded like it was a bit higher, like maybe what my voice sounded like when I was 15. Anyway, I was still lucid, so I tried to remember another task, but I couldn't. (I've been lazy naughty with my journal and incubations the past couple weeks, shame on me). I remember I was fussing with something in my hands, can't remember what. Then I woke up. Later on I had a nonlucid about running to catch up with the ice cream truck to get something for Chris. I had a bunch of coins in my back pocket. So I picked out the Reece's ice cream bar for $2.79. This was cool because I counted out 2 dollars in quarters, then the other 79 cents out of nickles and dimes. I had to give him $2.80 because I didn't have enough pennies to give him exact change. I told him he could keep the penny. I thought it was cool how I was able to do all that rational money math. Too bad it was nonlucid.
I was at work 3 hours early, and it turned out that Burt Reynolds had an office upstairs and needed help sorting through and cleaning it up. So I went to help him. It was a royal mess in there, but he was just super happy to have the help. He kept annoying me and messing up my count. I was happy to find out that the bathroom was right by the office, and it was a beautiful tiled bathroom. But every toilet was overflowed with shit. I finally found a clean one, but just as I sat down, two giant turds surfaced. I flushed it then woke up. Non lucid. I had a BUNCH of lucids a few days ago that I'll post later now that I got my DJ working right again. Thanks to melanieb.
Usual WBTB. At some point I was in a nonlucid, where me and my mom and a couple other family members I think, were driving around a mountain and got stranded. We were hungry and thirsty, and there were no buildings for miles, and no other cars or people. We were standing on the side of the road on the edge of the top of the mountain in despair, when I thought I saw a tiny smoke ring appear from over the side of the mountain. I watched transfixed as the ring dissipated, then I saw another, and another! So I walked to the very edge and looked down, and I saw a reststop with some cars, and a guy was smoking a cigarette and making smoke rings. Yay we're saved! I told everyone to stay put and I climbed down to where they were to find food and water. After I made it to the parking lot, I saw a tourist center, so I went in and looked from room to room for a vending machine, or water fountain, or something. I looked briefly in this one room, and it looked like a little kid's classroom. For some reason this made me lucid, because it seemed so out of place. I laughed, and was like YEAH! Then something really strange happened (well, strange for me): The little classroom that had once been perfectly clear and realistic, suddenly became all wibbly and unstable. Like I had gone from straight sober to stinking drunk in that one second that I had realized it was just a dream. This was a revelation for me, because I had always assumed that I had visually unstable lucid dreams alot, because my nonlucids must also be unstable. Since I am not fully aware of nonlucids until I'm recording them the next morning, I was never really sure if maybe I just wasn't remembering the instability. Whereas in a lucid, I'm aware of the dream in the moment, and notice the instability. This proved that it was just something stupid in my brain, some mental block or schema, that was causing the dream to become unstable the moment I attained lucidity. Anyway, I remember being really wowed by this, but I was having trouble making things look better. So I just left the room and then left the visitor center to have adventures. Immediately across the street, I saw some kids playing under the canopy of a car wash. I said "Hey kids, watch this!" And I flew up into the air, and landed right by them. They were like "Woooooooooow." So I was about to take flight again, when one of the boys grabbed my leg right as I took to flight. He said "Take me flying too!" He was a heavy little twerp, so it was hard to gain altitude at first, so I had to put some effort into it. I made it just above some electrical wires, then landed again. Then I guess I decided to get stupid and went back into the visitor center to make a sack lunch for my mom. I found a break room with a fridge, deliberated for minutes upon minutes as to what I was going to put in there. I got too wrapped up in that, and woke up. The TOTM never once entered my mind. I preach this all the time kids: Have a Prepared To-Do List for your lucids. Otherwise, you may end up flying around like an idiot and making lunch for your mom.
In this case, "fail" definitely equaled "fun"! I went to bed at like 1:45am, thinking I had stayed up too late and ruined my chance at a lucid. But I did my usual WBTB at 6:45am and went back to sleep at about 7:30am. I felt oddly less tired than I thought I should have, so maybe that's why. Anyway, I woke and fell back to sleep a couple more times, and around 9am or so, I woke up and felt the vibrations. It's been a while since I had a nice seamless WILD transition, so I was happy that I went straight into a lucid on the first cycle of vibrations I opened my eyes into the usual overly dark bedroom scene, and my eyes blinked on and off. I eventually could see fine, and so I got up out of bed, but I was entangled in blankets again. I just stayed calm, and kept getting up and moving toward the bedroom door. I left the room, and thought about the celebrity chef task. I went into the living room and saw a man that could easily have been Tyler Florence. I said "Tyler?" But he ignored me. "Hello, Tyler? Tyler Florence??!!" But he just kept looking in pantries and drawers, like he was focused on getting used to my kitchen. I should have been patient, because he might have still cooked something. But I wanted more attention So I said screw it and got on the floor to try the purgatory task again. I stuck my face on the floor, but it was hard and cold. I tried another area of the floor, and it went through just fine. Like the last time, a column of floor and earth broke away, revealing a fiery depth. I yelled something into the tunnel, forgot what it was. I was having more fun than focusing on actually accomplishing the task. I yelled something twice, and both times a hell hound appeared at the bottom and jumped up through the tunnel, trying to get me. But as soon as they reached the summit, they vaporized. I considered going into the tunnel.. maybe there would be levels and I could find purgatory. I stuck my head in really far, and I felt this sensation, like a force gently pulling me. I think I could have really shot through that tunnel had I let myself, but I pussed out again and woke up lol. I went back to sleep and ended up in a non lucid where I was in my parent's livingroom. I don't remember what I was doing, but it wasn't long before I remembered that I was JUST in my bed moments before, so I'm dreaming! I don't know why, but I didn't feel like a TOTM. So I just walked out the front door. It was early morning outside, like 8am, with a cool sparkly autumn sun and long shadows. Everything was still green, and the lawn glittered with dew and looked like emeralds. My favorite time to go for a walk. Things were pretty vivid, so I just felt like going with it. I walked in the wet grass, barefoot, and I remember now that all I had on was a t-shirt and underwear. I didn't care, it was cool out, but not too cold. Plus I knew it was a dream anyway I felt like flying a bit, so I flew around the trees in low figure 8s. Then I walked some more, then flew some more. I flew up into a tall tree and landed in the nook between 2 branches. A neighbor's dog, Leah, a white great dane, came up to the tree, jumping and barking as if she didn't recognize me. Dumb dream dogs are dumb. I looked around at the beautiful 2 acres that my parent's house is on, lamenting the fact that I'll really miss this place. Because they're selling it in real life. After what felt like many many minutes of walking and flying, I woke up.
