    1. 11/06/10 Re-uniting Asuka

by , 11-12-2010 at 11:35 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: Something really strange happened, it seems there is a piece of Asuka's soul in someone else's body… uh… She said she did that when she wasn't sure if she might die from the illness Walms put in her. I was put off a bit by that since there has not been anything to date that we haven't been able to help her with, so that was her first resort? Regardless of my feelings about her doing it, the goal was to get that piece of her soul back and set the woman she had placed it in free. Nomad was also wanting to have some fun, so I was hoping to do something fun with him after we were done with that. I used my light / sound machine and slipped into a WILD…

I am on the moon, in the biodome, near the koi pond. I look around to see if there is anyone else there, but I don't see anyone else right away. I walk around a bit, looking for someone, and I see a portal open. A man comes through the portal, he looks rather confused, then he asks me if he's on the moon. I tell him that yes, he is on the moon, and he seems to be very happy about that… so happy in fact, that he disappears into thin air… oops… he must have gotten too excited and woken himself up. I wait for a bit longer and find Nomad meditating just under the water level of the koi pond. That seems a bit odd, I have seen him meditate over the pond, but never under it… I go over to the edge of the pond and deliberately startle a fish into swimming right past him. The fish slaps Nomad in the face with its tail, snapping him out of his self induced trance. He surfaces and looks at the fish before looking over at me. Nomad says he had been meditating for a bit, I say I could see that, then I went over and gave him a big hug, thinking he would need it due to some difficulties he has been having in his waking life that I won't go into here since it's rather personal. Now that I have found Nomad, we can go to MoSh's inner world where Asuka and the other woman will be waiting. I open the portal and we both go through it.

Nomad and I are in the yard in front of MoSh's house, and we go over to it. MoSh meets us there, he says he hadn't realized Nomad would be there, but that's good, just in case something got out of hand. I ask MoSh what he things might get out of hand, there doesn't seem to be an enemy involved here, just an old woman with a piece of Asuka's soul, and that old woman should be glad to be free of it rather than try to resist having it taken out. MoSh says that he just wants to make sure everything is taken care of in case something goes wrong. I decide that arguing about that would be extremely pointless, so I follow MoSh into the living room where Asuka is sitting on the couch and there is an older woman sitting beside her. The older woman has a sweet grandmotherly look to her, like the kind of grandmother that would be constantly spoiling the grandkids… She smiles, and that makes her look even more grandmotherly. I go over to the two of them, and both of them greet me at the exact same time. It is like a couple of twins in perfect sync, it seems a bit odd, really… I tell the two Asukas that we are here to make sure her soul is made whole again, and that all of it is returned to her own body. She says she knows and is ready, or rather both of them say that at the same time… It is a really weird effect…

So the process goes very simply, and there are no interferences or little things going wrong… for once something is going as planned. I use the song Come Out and Play by the Offspring to separate the part of Asuka's soul from the other woman's soul, and as I am doing that, Nomad seems to actually reach into the older woman's heart and he pulls out a tiny glowing speck of light. It is like he is somehow holding a tiny miniature star in his hands, the light the star is putting off is beautiful. Nomad is handling it as if it is made of glass and it might break if it is handled too harshly, he carefully moves with it over to Asuka and holds it out towards her. The spark floats right out of Nomad's hand, seemingly of its own accord, and over to Asuka. It hovers in front of her briefly before merging into Asuka's chest. Asuka's entire body briefly glows and then the light is gone, contained within Asuka again. I can't help but be a little sorry to see the light go, but then I notice that if I look into Asuka's eyes, I can still see the spark, it is still in there.

The older woman is looking very confused right now, she is looking around the room and asking where she is, she doesn't seem to have any memory of the time she was merged with a piece of Asuka's spark. She says she is lost, she doesn't know how she has gotten here, but could we possibly direct her back to her home? I ask where her home is, she says her home is in the old folks' home down on Timberline Drive. She says she should get back there soon, then she scoffs a bit and says it's not like anyone there has probably even noticed that she is gone. She says it's not like she gets any visitors in that dump, she continues muttering about her kids ignoring her and her grandkids not even knowing she's alive, and then she suddenly stops that and looks around at all of us. She apologizes for running on about her problems, when she is sure we will be wanting to get her out of our way as soon as possible. I tell her that's not true, I haven't even been around her long enough to be thinking such rude things, she says I should be glad. She says she might as well go home… her home is at the old folks' home down on Timberline Drive. She resumes muttering about not having any visitors and other stuff… the way she is muttering it she sounds rather funny, but then a single tear is rolling down her face, this apparently is affecting her more than she might admit.

I am not sure if the woman's state of mind has anything to do with this, but Q appears and tells the old woman she will have to be checked out to make sure there were no ill effects from being merged with another person. He says there may be other things that can be done to help her, as well. She says she doesn't want any needle baring doctors, she gets enough shots at the home… which is where she lives, the home for old folks down on Timberline Drive. I notice that is the third time she has repeated the part about her home on Timberline Drive, and I wonder if she remembers saying it before. Q disappears with the old woman, then he reappears alone just a second later. He tells me that the old woman is in the moon tower with the docs, Janet, Maura, and Washu, she needs some help. He says her kids and grandkids were all killed in a fire a couple years back, and she was not willing to accept that, so she had built this fantasy that they had abandoned her in the home, which was somehow more comforting than the thought they are dead. He said she just seems to be a lonely old woman, but she will be cared for. I am listening to Q when I wake up.

    2. 11/03/10 Visions of Psychic Visions

by , 11-08-2010 at 11:40 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
I am in MoSh's inner world, in the place I usually appear when I have planned to meet up with him in a dream. I look around to see that everything is as it should be before I head over to the house and knock on the door. The door opens, and I see Asuka there smiling at me. Asuka asks me if I have come back to do another spontaneous healing, I tell her that's not why I'm there… but if she feels she needs healing I will be more than glad to help. She says no, she feels fine, but she felt fine the last time I busted in here to use a healing spell on both her and MoSh. I don't remember past dreams too clearly at this point, so I don't respond. It's better to remain silent and have people think you're a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. So I follow Asuka into the living room where MoSh is, it looks like he has been waiting for me. MoSh says if I am ok with it, he still wants to go and try to view when he got the psychic reading from Bonnie, so he can determine if the person he's supposed to be with could actually be Kaomea or if there is someone else. I say that is why I am here, so we can go ahead and do that.

I sit down next to MoSh on the couch and we open up a laptop, looking to view through time as we do when looking to view a past dream. This doesn't seem to be working, however, as when I go to find the entry, there is no such entry. I wonder if that is because it wasn't a dream, it was a waking life event that MoSh experienced. I figure this would be more like astral projection or remote viewing than dream viewing, so maybe I would have to use a portal to get us to where we can view this. I tell MoSh that, and after I do one more search on the computer that doesn't find anything, I turn the computer off and get up. This is going to be more difficult than I had first thought, since my first thought was that the only problem would be seeing Bonnie's vision. I focus on opening a portal to view the event MoSh wants to see, but the portal isn't opening. I focus harder, I know this is possible, I have heard of a lot of other people doing it successfully… I keep focusing to the point where I am developing a minor headache, that certainly won't be beneficial, but finally a portal flickers into existence. I stop focusing on it because it is open now, and all my portals stay open by themselves for at least a while once I get them open, but the portal closes instantly. I have to open it again, then I usher MoSh through the portal and then follow him without losing my focus… not the easiest task…

MoSh and I emerge from the portal into a strange place, I don't recognize it at all. I look around and try to get a description of the place, but all I can see is that the place is constantly shifting… wtf? Nothing is staying the same long enough for me to get a fix on it, and the entire thing is starting to make me nauseous. MoSh doesn't seem to be having any problems with this, he goes over to a woman who isn't shifting with the rest of the scene, and there is also another MoSh there talking to the woman. Their voices are echoing throughout the strange shifting place, making it hard to understand what they are saying, but I catch enough of it to get the basic idea. MoSh wants to know about his future lover. The woman, who I am finally able to focus on enough to see she has long dark hair and appears to be somewhere in her 30's, says MoSh is looking for a woman, when he finds her she will complete him, and he will complete her. She seems to be focusing on something, I wonder if I will be able to see a picture or image of the person. I focus on the woman, wanting to see what she is seeing… but I don't get things very clear. What I do see is a Japanese woman, very pretty, she has her hair tied back in a pony tail, she looks to be somewhere in her 20's. She has a very nice smile, and she is smiling at me, or at least it looks like she is smiling at me. I need to allow MoSh to see this image now… how can I do that?

Before I can figure out how to get the image to MoSh, everything freezes around us. The room is no longer constantly shifting, though somehow that doesn't make it any easier to see the room clearly. It seems that the walls and everything in the room have stopped in mid flux as if they are part one thing and part another, it looks really strange, but at least it is less nauseating than when things were moving. The MoSh that the woman was talking to is also frozen, the only things moving in the room are the woman, the present day MoSh, and myself. The woman is looking right at MoSh and me, I wonder if she can actually see us… maybe she can… she is a psychic, after all.

The woman stands up and comes over right in front of MoSh, she turns to give me a dirty look, then returns her attention to MoSh. Her voice is still echoing around the room making it hard to understand her, but I am once again able to get the basic idea. She repeats herself several times, just using different words each time, that MoSh being around me is a sure sign of doom. She says if he ever hopes to have the things he wants in life he had better break all contact with me immediately. She says that if MoSh stays with me, I will lead him only to his own doom. She says he should break off all contact with me immediately and… well, I never get to hear and what, because MoSh interrupts her. He is clearly not pleased with the woman at all, he tells her that he will decide for himself who he spends time with, and if he wants to spend time with me, then he will do so. The woman tries to say more, saying I am not MoSh's friend, I am… MoSh interrupts again, saying he knows who his friends are, and I am his friend, and now he has clearly heard enough of what the woman has to say. He tells her, in no uncertain terms, that he wants her to shut the fuck up. The woman looks at MoSh and says if he won't listen then he has already chosen his doom. This is where I wake up.

    3. 11/02/10 Going on a Healing Spree

by , 11-08-2010 at 03:24 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
I am standing in my living room, and I am spontaneously lucid… either that or I had become lucid before and just have no memory of the dream there. I look around, not sure what I am going to do. I try to think of goals I have, I remember I have one goal with MoSh, it is a goal to view a psychic reading he got a while back. I am not sure if this will work, but both MoSh and I figure it's worth a shot. I am about to focus on a portal to MoSh's inner world when the television comes on by itself. I go over to the TV and see it has a live video feed of MoSh's inner world house… wtf? Is there really a camera there or am I just seeing it because I want to go there? I use the television as a window… the television is a large flat screen, quite a bit larger than my waking life television… and I step through into MoSh's inner world.

I emerge in MoSh's inner world to find MoSh and Asuka in the living room, I don't notice what they are doing there, because I immediately get a feeling that they need to be healed… both of them. I wonder where that feeling came from, but I figure there's no need to question it much. If I heal them when they weren't really needing it, that's not going to hurt anything. So I go into the living room, which surprises them a bit, and I focus on using the song Voices on them, a general healing spell since I am not sure why I feel the need to heal them at all. When I am done, MoSh looks at me, he looks confused, and he asked what that had been about. I say I had a feeling about it. MoSh says ok, so now can we go view his psychic reading? I am about to say yes when I get a strong feeling that Kaomea needs healing… due to difficulties between MoSh and Kaomea, I simply tell him I have to go but I'll be back if I can. He tries to tell me to wait a minute, I open a portal to Kaomea and go through it.

I emerge from the portal in a fairly normal looking neighborhood and I look around. I was searching for Kaomea, so I figure she must be somewhere in the area. I walk for a bit, getting anxious and uneasy, I have the idea I need to hurry, and finally I spot her near a café. I walk over to her and she starts talking to me as if she knows me, but not as if she knows who I am. It's like she thinks I'm someone else. Well, that doesn't matter any. I focus on the song Voices again, sending light energy through Kaomea. She seems a bit surprised at that, and responds by giving me a hug… She says it's been nice talking to me… ok… whoever she thinks I am… I now have the feeling I need to hurry up and heal Walms… um… why do I need to heal Walms? That's not normal for him to need healing… But even though I am questioning the feeling, it does not go away or even weaken slightly, so I move a good distance away from Kaomea. I open a portal to the moon, to the biodome and go through it, closing it quickly behind me. I wanted to get to Walms quickly, I didn't want Kaomea following me. I look around the biodome and see a man with dark hair, a black shirt, dark eyes that are almost black, tanned skin, those eyes are beautiful, and he looks somewhat muscular… but I don't take the time to investigate him. I scan and see no sign of Kaomea. So now I teleport outside of the biodome where I open a portal to find Walms.

I exit this portal in what looks like a school of some kind. I look around one more time, scanning the area, I want to be absolutely certain Kaomea didn't follow me… I am feeling paranoid about that idea right now… and I see no sign of her. Good. I look around the place for Walms. I wander around the school for a short time and then exit there into a green field that looks like the athletic field. I spot Walms there, I'm not sure what he is doing, it doesn't look like he is doing much of anything. I go over to Walms, Walms notices me, though I am not sure how to explain the certainty I feel that he needs a healing spell when it looks like he is feeling fine. I try to explain myself to Walms, and he is answering me, talking to me like he knows me, but like with Kaomea, it seems like he doesn't see me for who I really am. I think I don't have time to figure this out, and I hope he won't mind using a healing spell… I focus on the song Voices again, though this time the energy it formed was adapted to match Walms' energy rather than the usual golden energy. He didn't really respond other than to give me a puzzled look. I think maybe I can relax now that I have healed Walms, but no… I barely have time to take a deep breath before the certainty is upon me that Nomad needs healing. Wtf? Do I have to go and heal everyone we know? Do they really need healing, or am I being something along the lines of obsessive compulsive? I don't know, but I feel I have to follow the feeling to heal. I open a portal while focusing on finding Nomad.

I exit the portal in another place, I don't recognize it at first, then I decide it is just because I have been jumping around so much… Because I have the idea I ought to recognize the place, I am just getting so confused. I look around to find Nomad, he's why I'm there after all. I follow my instinct through some trees and into a green meadow where I find Nomad, I am not sure what he is doing, and I don't even take the time to say 'hi' because even though I haven't finished healing Nomad yet, I am getting the feeling that Tigress needs healing right away… So I use Voices on Nomad, it is hard to focus because I am wanting to leave so fast, but I manage to do it and the spell works properly. Nomad says something to me, but I don't pay any attention, I open a portal to go find Tigress.

I exit a portal into a different place, but I immediately know Tigress isn't there. Where is she, then? I try the portal again, but this time the portal doesn't want to open at all. I am getting to a point near panic, thinking I have to find her, it's urgent… I focus on opening the portal yet again, still nothing. Another feeling is merging with the feeling I have to heal Tigress… I have to heal Pablo! But I haven't even found Tigress yet! I have to find Tigress before I can go heal Pablo, Tigress is first… I have to find Tigress… I open a portal, not able to clearly focus on either Tigress or Pablo, and I go through it.

I am now in a forest, I am not sure where I am or who I should be looking for, so I call out to both of them, "PABLO!!! TIGRESS!!!" I don't get a response, or at least not right away. I look around a bit more to try to find them, when something is moving and it comes over to me. That something is a cute fox, I guess I found Pablo, which isn't entirely a relief since I have yet to find Tigress… Pablo is a fox, and he is looking at me strangely. I use the song Voices on Pablo, I somehow manage to make the song spell work… Now I have to find Tigress. I hear a voice behind me, it is Pablo, he is now in his form that looks like Fox McCloud, and he has a hand on my shoulder, he says to calm down, what is going on? I don't want to take the time for this, I tell him I have to heal Tigress. I focus on a portal, but nothing happens. Damn! Damn! Damn! I have to find her now! I sit by a large tree and try to think how I can find her. The next thing I know there is a fox pushing his nose up onto my lap, I don't object to that, I can still keep thinking. The fox begins to purr softly… and purr… and purr… the sound is soothing, like the sound of a cat's purr, maybe I can focus better on getting back to Tigress. Pablo purrs… and purrs… I have come up with nothing, but I feel a lot calmer. Pablo continues to purr… and purr… and then I wake up.
    4. 11/01/10 Shattered Memories

by , 11-07-2010 at 05:28 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      Note: More fragments today…

      Raider vs. Raider
I am in a forest, I look around to see where I am. The forest looks normal, and I am not aware I am dreaming right now. I walk along one of the paths to see where I might be, thinking things seem a bit strange for reality. I don't actually do a reality check, but I slowly become a bit more lucid at a time. I reach a village and see there are quite a few people wandering around, most of them seem worried about something. One of them acts briefly like I was an enemy, then calms down. She says there are raiders on both sides of them, they didn't know what to do. Raiders… that could be interesting, so I ask where these raiders are. She says they are to the north of the village, but I will want to avoid that place. I don't pay any attention to her, instead I take to flying, which shocks the people in the village, and I head north. There are raiders to the north of the village, but they don't seem to be interested in the village, they are busy fighting each other. There are quite a few of them, they seem to be broken up in smaller groups, battling amongst themselves. The ones I see seem to be blindly cutting down anything that moves, whether it be an enemy raider, a plant, or an animal trying to escape… What a bunch of assholes. I land and form Witchblade into a sword and kill the first group of assholes with little difficulty. They seem to have had the idea a woman wouldn't be a threat… There are quite a few of these groups, so I am going from group to group and doing the same thing in each place. There is an injured lion type cat near one of the fights, I heal the cat, and then the cat decides the raiders look pretty tasty. I come to another group of raiders who are killing themselves… and no, they weren't killing each other, they were killing themselves… One of them struck his sword out in front of him, then somehow the blade was behind him and he ran himself through… what a strange flux of space-time… I see that happening in a few places, and then I spot someone near one of the groups. He isn't there for long, but I would have sworn it was Walms… I catch another glimpse of him near another of the battles where raiders are killing themselves… One of them injures himself and then the lion I healed, or one just like it, pounces and finishes the job. There will be a lot of meat for scavengers to feast on here…

      I'm Going to Disney Land!
I am in a large theme park, in the dream I believe it to be Disney Land. I am not lucid, so I think I am there on vacation or something. I wander around a bit, I realize I have a camera on my sun glasses. I can get footage of places Disney Land doesn't want me to get footage! I also will have fun. I go over to Space Mountain and take a ride through there on the front car, it is a lot of fun. It was faster than I remembered, but the tunnels are so dark I don't know how well my footage came out. I go to Star Tours, the virtual reality simulator, and it is not as fun as I remember it. The simulated motion sucks. I get the footage anyway. I am thinking I came here with my mom, and she will be waiting up front for me to leave, but there has to be time for one more stop. The Matterhorn! I will get footage on that! I head to the Matterhorn and am waiting in a line that doesn't seem to move when I wake up.

      Smokin!
I am at school, but it is a much larger school than my normal school. I am walking around the halls trying to find my next class. I have no idea where to go, I need my schedule. That is in my locker, so where is my locker? Shit, I don't know that, either. Damn first day of classes. Tigress is there with me and she says she's off to her class, she'll see me when class is over. I think that's no help, since I don't have class with her for this one. I wander around more, everyone else is now out of the halls and in their classes. I wander to the edge of campus and stand there with a couple other girls talking and clearly ditching class. One of them offers me a smoke. Without even thinking about it, I never smoke IWL, I accept the cigarette and the light. I am standing there smoking with the girls. One of them says her mother checks her purse, so she hands me her pack of cigarettes. She said the only condition is that I share with her. I say sure and put the pack in my purse. Somehow here time is missing, because the next instant I am getting home in my car. I go inside the house and say hi to my mom. She says hi, but then sees my open purse and the pack of cigarettes. She looks so disappointed. I say they're not really mine, I am holding them for a friend… then I realize how lame that sounds. I tell her ok, they're mine, but I only smoke about one cigarette every month or so… if I smoked more, she would smell it on me, right? Right? I don't think she believes me.
    5. 11/01/10 Wolf Assassins: Escape!

by , 11-07-2010 at 04:01 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
As I enter my WILD, I find myself in a prison cell. There is nothing of special note about the place, it looks like a typical dungeon prison cell from some kind of a medieval or RPG world or something like that. I look at the door, it is locked securely from the outside, so there is no way I can open it up. I wonder how I am supposed to get out of there. I am messing around and I realize I am dressed as an Assassin, so I check and find my hidden blade is present. I have no other weapons. I wait for a bit, listening by the door, and finally I hear someone out there. I pound on the door, demanding someone come in there immediately, I figure it doesn't matter who it is. If it's a friend, I'll be glad to see them. If it's an enemy, they'll be sorry they met me. I wait a bit more and then there are keys in the door, it opens. A thug comes inside, it is pretty clear he is a thug, and he definitely doesn't look friendly. He pulls out a knife and says if I don't shut up he'll give me something to scream about. I say he wouldn't dare, he's alone. No one there to save him. He says he could handle me well enough, since I don't even have any weapons. I laugh to myself as he says that and tell him to prove it. He comes towards me, and I activate my hidden blade right as he arrives. He has a shocked look on his face as he is stabbed, he collapses to the ground and dies.

I don't have to look much to find the keys he had used to get into my cell, I take them since I am not sure if I might need them on my way out. I put my hidden blade away and peek out the door of my cell, there are surely more guards around there. There is one guard walking away from my cell on patrol. He turns around the corner and disappears, so I look quickly around one more time and head in his direction. I peek around the corner and see he is coming in my direction, patrolling back, so I lie in wait and greet him with a hidden blade to the gut… he dies. I make my way through the passages silently, though I am not sure when someone will find the bodies I am leaving in my wake. There is a locked door at the end of the hall, one of my keys fits it. I open it up just a crack and look in there to see there are some things on the table in the room as well as three guards. But that's ok… one of those things on the table is my sword! One of the guards is right next to the door… perfect… When I feel ready, I open the door quickly, slamming it into the guard by the door, vaulting over him as he is falling down to imbed my hidden blade in the throat of the guard across the table… that move must have looked pretty cool… I grab my sword from the table and run it through the third guard, cutting the one I knocked over as I spin back. There are now three dead guards in the room and I have my sword.

There are other items there, as well. I see a staff of some kind which I pick up, a strange book of some kind, and a small bag of something I don't take the time to examine. I pick up everything, I don't know who it belongs to, but I am certain it doesn't belong to these idiots here… I leave the room into an open area, a courtyard of some kind. I look around before completely entering the courtyard. There are several places to hide in the courtyard, and I think I can make it to the far gate without being seen. So I start making my way across, going from one area of cover to the next, using the night to cover my movements. I reach a spot about half way to the exit when I hear something, it sounds like an angry animal. I look around and see there is a wolf… or some kind of wolf animal, looks very large even for a wolf, and very pissed off. The assholes who had me locked up have the animal chained up on some rather short chains. I decide that is unacceptable, so I will release the wolf before leaving the compound. I'm not going to leave anyone chained up here.

I quietly go over to where the animal is chained, and it lunges in my direction. I wonder if the wolf will be able to understand what I'm there to do or if it will think I'm one of the enemies. I try to calm the wolf down, I tell the wolf that I am there to help, I will get those chains off, just don't attack me. The wolf does seem to understand that, so I go over there and unlock one of the chains that is holding the wolf. The wolf doesn't wait any longer for me to unlock the second chain, rather it pulls the second chain hard and breaks it before heading off across the courtyard. The wolf is making a lot of noise and commotion, which gets the attention of practically every guard in the place. The guards first look shocked that the wolf is free, then they look terrified of that, then they look dead after they get torn apart by teeth and claws… I watch the carnage for a bit until the wolf gets to a point where I won't be able to see it any more. The wolf looks back at me, I'd swear it shot a knowing nod off in my direction, then is gone from sight. The sounds of more carnage come from that direction. Now that there is no more benefit from secrecy, I take out my sword and take the direct route out the nearest exit and into the forest, cutting through three guards as I go.

I am hidden in the forest, I sit down to rest for a couple minutes. I am wondering if the wolf sure got out safely. I didn't see that it would be a problem considering what had happened to the guards I saw get torn apart. I am sitting there when I hear a sound from farther away in the forest. I hear something that sounds like growling, a couple sounds like a yelp, some growling that sounds suspiciously close to expletives, and finally a thud. Wtf? I wonder if something happened… I follow the sounds for a bit, making my way through the forest until I woke up.

Note: Only a couple of fragments from today, and I am running behind, so here they are.

      Final Exam
I am in the largest classroom I have ever seen, it is easily the size of a large concert hall. Instead of just seats around the room, however, the stands are lined with desks at which people are working. This is during a final exam, though it's not even a class I am taking at the time. I am sitting next to Tigress, who is taking the exam. Somehow I have a copy of all the answers from the test. The class is a completely pointless one that isn't worth the time it takes to study for the exam, so I was helping Tigress to cheat. I do that for a short time until an instructor comes over. I hide the answer key just in time before he tells me I don't belong there, so then I get up and head for the door. Just by the door there is a ladder up to the rafters of the room, so I climb up that. I expect someone to stop me, but no one does. I am now in the rafters looking down on the students taking their tests. I crawl over until I am over Tigress, and I start dropping answers down to her in small balls of paper. I don't remember how I knew what answers she needed when, but she seemed to be doing fine with that method. I hear a sound off to my left, I look and I see some guy sitting on a toilet taking a crap… um… not really what I want to see. This is sooooo wrong… When he flushes the toilet, there is no pipe under it, and a splash of water and shit falls down on several students sitting below… um… yuck… But they don't seem to notice, they keep working.

      It's a Gamble
I am in a casino of some kind, it is a bit different than most casinos I have been in . Instead of being a big room, it is a long hallway type setup, with slot machines on the sides and a couple poker tables at the end of the hall. I don't know how to play Poker so I go over to one of the slot machines and check my pocket for money… nothing. I think that means I can't gamble, so I might as well find the exit. I'm not sure where to go for that… The entire building suddenly shakes, and the slot machine beside me pays out spontaneously. I collect the money, thinking I won by earthquake. Now I have a bag of quarters and I still want to find the exit. I walk down the hall, the place shakes again, more slot machines pay off. People are gathering the quarters, I decide not to get greedy since I can't get to the money very easily. I see a sign that says exit, so I go to that and open the door. I am hit in the face with a blast of wind as I see the place is moving at a rapid rate. I look out the door and see the tracks below, the train stretching out in both directions… I am on a train! The train is a casino. I wonder if I could survive a jump if I hit the ground in a roll like they do in movies. I am considering that when someone grabs me and pulls me into the train, telling me it is going too fast to get off. I turn and see a man has pulled me in, I recognize him, but not sure. Is it MoSh? Maybe. He says the slot machines in the next car are loose, they all pay out all the time. We should go there and get some more money. I am following MoSh when I wake up.

by , 11-05-2010 at 04:46 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: MoSh says he got a PM from Walms stating that Asuka has been poisoned. The best I can tell, it appears that Walms was going back to MoSh's inner world to get something he lost there, Kaomea was there, and everything went unstable ending up with Walms leaving a poison of some kind in Asuka. Apparently this was the cause of the illness I tried to cure last night. MoSh said Walms had refused to help cure her, Walms said he just wouldn't go near her in a dream… so my goal was simply to go find Walms and get the antidote, then take that back to Asuka. I fell asleep with my light / sound machine and successfully slipped into my WILD…

I am in my own room, but I know that I am dreaming, I am in a lucid dream. I remember my goal is to go find Walms to get the antidote to Asuka's illness, so I focus on opening a portal to locate Walms. Just as the portal is about to open, another portal opens and MoSh comes into my room. MoSh says he can make sure Walms tells him how to heal Asuka, I tell MoSh that he's already told me and the only thing I have to do is go get it. He pauses for a bit, it looks like he isn't completely lucid, and then he seems to remember. He says yeah, he remembers, but he doesn't seem fully convinced everything will go that easily. I tell him I usually get a feeling about that kind of thing, and I wasn't feeling anything to indicate a problem. The portal I had opened to locate Walms closes before I get a chance to make sure it stays open, so I have to open another one. I realize that is just as well, as the first portal was no longer accurate, apparently Walms had moved. I go through the new portal, MoSh follows me through.

MoSh and I exit the other end of the portal, I look around and see we are at the edge of a forest near an old building of some kind. I scan the area to see if I can find Walms there, but it is not difficult to find him, he is over near the building holding something. I get a bit closer and I see he is holding a strange animal… or a bug? It is about the size of a bunny rabbit, it is furry, but it looks a lot like a beetle. It looks like a big, furry beetle. I get close enough to Walms and ask about getting the antidote, instead I get a bug… the fluffy but Walms is holding flies into the air and hovers only a couple inches in front of my face, staring into my face with huge multifaceted eyes. I reach out to touch the bug's fur, it looks really soft, MoSh tells me to stay away from the bug in case it is dangerous. The bug responds by hissing loudly at MoSh, a strange hissing / squealing noise, then it flies away into the forest. Um… ok…

I turn my attention back to Walms and start to ask about the antidote again, MoSh says he wants the antidote right now. Walms says the cure is simple, really, all it takes is a bit of his blood… so come get it. He disappears from sight, drawing a crude expletive from MoSh, it looks to me that Walms apparently wanted to make a game of it to get the antidote. I feel a short burst of instability, I wonder if maybe it would be a better idea to just go back and get our trio of genius docs to fix the problem, since Walms had already told me what the problem was, curing it would be a piece of cake for them… without even waking them from their nap. I may have been considering talking to Washu, Janet, and Maura, but MoSh was already gone, breaking down the front door of the building and making about as much racket as a rhinoceros charging through a china shop… I follow MoSh into the building, I can see he is chasing Walms, who seems to always be just a bit ahead of MoSh. I soon lose track of them in the maze of halls and passages in the building. That is fine with me, I hadn't figured a straight forward race would get me anywhere. MoSh had that one covered, I'd have to take another approach.

I stop trying to follow MoSh and Walms at all, and I focus on a tracking spell, not to use in a portal, but just for tracking alone. The first thing that comes to mind is "All Nightmare Long" by Metallica, "We hunt you down all nightmare long…" and it would only stand to reason I would find Walms in the middle of a nightmare somewhere… I focus on the tracking, and I feel an instinctive pull in one direction, so I follow that pull. It actually leads me out of the building completely, I find I am on the third floor of the building and the forest is stretching out below me. I jump out of a broken window and fly over the forest, form shifting in mid flight to become a raven… wait… too obvious… I change into an eagle… that also seems too obvious… I change into a simple tree sparrow… I fly down into the trees, still following my instinct as to where I would be able to find Walms. If he is out here, I wonder where MoSh is… is MoSh following Walms out here? Is MoSh following a fake Walms in the building? Am I following another fucking DC? I realize I am muttering as close as a song bird can get to expletives… well, I would follow my tracking instincts, and just see what I find.

I am getting close to the signal source, so I land in one of the trees and look over beside a tree where I see Walms sitting there looking at an animal, this one looks like a rabbit of some kind. I flutter down closer to Walms and the rabbit, trying to be sure that it's really Walms and not a DC this time. I land on a low branch only to have the rabbit spring from Walms' arms and attack me… with fangs… psycho rabbit! Ok… I hadn't expected that, but I react as the sparrow would and take wing, chirping expletives at the rabbit as I fly out of reach. Walms calls me a silly bird, and says I should have known better than to get that close to a… (I don't remember what he called the bunny animal). I fly over closer to Walms and land in a tree near him, and I do my best to unobtrusively scan him to be sure it's not a DC. Real energy signature, looks right… I don't think it's a DC… Walms is looking at me strangely, I wonder if he can tell I'm not a normal sparrow, well if he can, I'd better make it quick or have to do the whole tracking thing over again, and I'm not sure how much longer I'll be in the dream.

I flutter down to the ground as if I am going after a particularly tasty seed or worm, poking around the ground with my beak, of course not picking up anything… my Witchblade has adjusted its size and form to my altered form… so the easiest way I can think of to get what I need is to use that. A tiny tendril of Witchblade extends from my right leg into the grass and other vegetation, snaking its way around to where Walms is standing and watching me, the tendril of Witchblade is behind him now, it snakes its way over and claims the sample I need while making no more disturbance than a light breeze. Walms is looking at me very closely… I decide not to wait any longer. I pull the tendril of Witchblade back and take flight into the trees. I wonder if Walms had any idea it was me he was looking at, I wonder if he knows I got what I was after… I figure it doesn't really matter, now I have to get the antidote back to Asuka.

I head into the building, now I want to find MoSh, because I figure he will want to be there when Asuka is healed. I then kick myself as best as I can in the form of a sparrow, wondering why I didn't just track MoSh the same way I tracked Walms. I finally do that and open a portal to go straight to MoSh. A small bird-sized portal opens and I go through it into MoSh's inner world. MoSh is looking around for something there, Asuka is there with him. She looks fine, there doesn't appear to be any sign of her previous illness relapsing. I ask how she is feeling, she says fine. I tell her I have what we need for the antidote, but I feel it should be done in the healing glen. MoSh asks if I checked the blood to make sure it is safe. I tell him it is safe, I have no doubt in my mind about it… I open a portal and go through into the healing glen.

In the healing glen there is a pool of the healing water, Allura is there waiting for us. She says she will have to remove the time stasis from the toxin, so that it can be neutralized. She does something, though I can't tell what, then says Asuka is ready to be healed. Asuka gets into the pool of water, I realize I have no idea what to do with the sample… d'oh! Not bright. Apparently the Crystal Golem knows more than I do about that kind of healing, he takes the sample and pours it right into the pool of water with Asuka. The water turns a disgusting black color, MoSh moves to pull her out of the water, but the Crystal Golem stops him and says the poison is being purged from Asuka, drawn out by the blood sample he had just added, so this isn't a negative effect. The water gets really disgusting and finally the Crystal Golem lifts Asuka carefully from the water and bathes her in light energy. I use Touch My Heart to clear any remaining dark energy from Asuka, I barely get that done before everything around me fades to black and I wake up.

    8. 10/30/10 A Rose By Any Other Name

by , 11-04-2010 at 04:28 PM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
I am standing outside my house, looking around at the area. There is a lot of construction work going on in the house, it looks like they are adding large areas on to the existing building. I figure my mother has some reason for all the remodeling, though I don't remember what that reason might be. Since there is so much construction going on in the house, I wander around outside for a bit. It's like I never had looked around out there before, I wonder how things can be so unfamiliar to me since we have lived there for quite a few years. (For some reason this doesn't trigger a reality check! >.<) I walk over to the edge of our property, but instead of the fence I normally find there, I find a grassy ridge that blocks my view of the land beyond. I climb up the ridge, which is about eight feet tall, it's a gentle slope so it is easy to climb. Once I'm at the top I am able to look down into a green tree-filled valley that looks nothing like the desert I actually live in. (Another missed dream sign…) I notice a trail that descends into the trees and I wonder why I've never followed that path before, I make a note to myself that I'm going to check it out when I have more time.

For now I turn around and head back to the house. I go inside the house and make my way around the workers to the far side of the house where my mother has her new room. It is looking quite nice, this area is clearly almost done, so I look outside to where I remember my mother is going to have a large rose garden. There is already a selection of roses growing out there, many of them are rather large bushes with many beautiful blooms on them.

I go out through sliding doors to take a closer look at the flowers, they smell wonderful, but they are also swarming with bees. I am keeping my distance, but then a brisk gust of wind actually blows several of the bees right at me. They respond as if the wind was my personal attack on them and sting, leaving behind their stingers and dropping to the ground dead. I go back in the house and close the door behind me. I see there are quite a few stingers still in my arm, so I try to pull one out. I end up squeezing the rest of the venom right into my arm, and it burns a bit. I remember that pulling bee stingers out like that isn't a good idea, so I take a tweezers to carefully remove the others. Each of the stingers is dripping with copious amounts of venom, there is also venom oozing out of my arm where I was stung, and all I can think of at the time is that I am sure glad I'm not allergic, or that much venom would most likely be fatal!

    9. 10/30/10 The Darkness Tattoo

by , 11-04-2010 at 05:38 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: During the day, MoSh said there was something wrong with Asuka, and he had a bad feeling she might die if something wasn't done as soon as possible. So the primary goal for the night was to heal whatever was wrong with Asuka, and that was my intent as I used my light / sound machine and slipped into a WILD…

I am in MoSh's inner world, which is right where I want to be to complete my primary goal for the night. I look around and see I am in the same place I am usually when I enter MoSh's inner world at the beginning of a dream. I don't figure now is the time to stand there looking around, so I go to the door and knock on it. MoSh doesn't answer the door, instead it's Data, and he lets me in right away, telling me that MoSh and Asuka are both upstairs in the bedroom. He says he has work to do on the shield. Before I can ask him what is wrong with the shield, he turns and leaves the room, heading down into the basement. I figure there is less importance on what Data is doing with the shield than there is on making sure Asuka is ok, so I head upstairs to meet up with MoSh and Asuka.

I find MoSh and Asuka in a bedroom, Asuka is in bed, apparently sleeping. Shawna is also there beside Asuka, and she looks quite upset, she is focusing on Asuka very intently, so much so that she doesn't even notice me enter. MoSh sees me enter and says he is glad I am there. He gets Shawna's attention by touching her on the shoulder, then points at me and says she should give me a chance to help Asuka. Shawna seems like she might cry, she says Asuka is really sick, but she can't quite get to the core of it, something that is causing the sickness keeps moving. MoSh tells her that he and I will make sure Asuka is ok, she should go rest, she has been putting too much energy into this. Reluctantly, Shawna finally leaves the room. Once the girl is gone I see MoSh doesn't look as optimistic as he had tried to look for Shawna, he says Asuka seems to be getting worse. He says it started a couple nights ago, but he had done a healing spell on her and she had seemed fine. But now it is getting worse again… and this time his healing spell wasn't working. He says he wants to take her to the healing glen, but he had wanted to wait until I got there so I could help with healing her. I tell MoSh that the healing glen would be a good place to do the healing, so let's go ahead and go there. MoSh picks up Asuka in his arms, she barely stirs, and is wet with sweat, she looks like she might be running a fever. I open a portal to the healing glen and MoSh follows me through it.

MoSh and I exit the portal into the healing glen, into the green grass area outside the Crystal Golem's cave, and I see the Crystal Golem is there as if he expects us. He says he sees we have a sick friend, and he is here to help in whatever way he can to heal her. MoSh lies her down in the soft grass, she stirs slightly again, but she does not wake up. I take a closer look at Asuka, and I see on some of her exposed skin that it looks like she has a tattoo… To get a better idea of what it is, I remove the rest of her clothes to find the tattoo is all over her entire body. The tattoo is black, and looks like a vine of some kind, with thorns on it. I sense dark energy from the tattoo, so I think that is very likely the source of the problem, or at least a symptom. The vines wrapped around her were emanating unstable dark energy. Scans done by my penticon computer show the vines aren't just around her, they are also growing through her body, she is pretty badly infected… it would take some work to get that shit out of her.

To get that strange shit out of Asuka, I start by focusing on drawing the dark energy out of those strange vine tattoos, pulling it into myself. The tattoos respond by coming to life, actually tightening around Asuka… the thorns somehow dig into her enough to draw small amounts of blood… Asuka barely stirs, though, it's not even enough to wake her. I get the idea it's more of a threat than to do any actual harm. So I change the method I use. Instead of just drawing dark energy out, I also focus on stabilizing it… and the tattoo vines loosen. The black tattoos also start fading, they aren't as dark… and soon they fade completely and are gone from sight. I wonder if that got rid of the entire problem, now that the strange vines are no longer visible. She doesn't look injured, the places where she had been bleeding are only tiny pricks, any bleeding has already stopped without me having to use any physical healing.

As I draw the rest of the dark energy out of Asuka, she sits up and yawns, stretching big, then she seems to realize she's naked and moves to cover herself. I immediately summon a kimono onto Asuka, it is the easiest thing to picture since that is often how I picture her, and she doesn't seem to be picky about what she is wearing at the time. MoSh is asking Asuka if she is ok, asking her how she feels, she says she just feels exhausted. While she is talking to MoSh I have my penticon computer scan Asuka for any remaining traces of dark energy. The computer reports that there is a tiny speck of dark energy still inside of Asuka, but the amount of energy in that speck is relatively insignificant. The computer reports that the level of dark energy in that speck is no higher than the ambient dark energy in almost every location in this plane, lower than many places. I am suspicious of that speck the computer reported, just like with a spark of an inner flame, all it takes is a tiny amount of unstable energy to grow into a serious problem. I tell MoSh that she seems ok for now, but I will want to take another look at her later, she needs to be watched to make sure whatever was making her sick doesn't come back. We don't want her having a relapse, after all. The Crystal Golem says he will keep an eye on her for a while to be sure it doesn't come back, then MoSh can take her home, as long as there will be someone there to watch over her. MoSh thanks me for helping, gives me a big hug, then he hugs Asuka close to him, muttering something about no one should dare harm Asuka.
    10. 10/27/10 Plane 3 - Battle of the Templars

by , 11-02-2010 at 03:43 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: I am far behind on my journaling, I am really going to try to make this a summary of these dreams without skipping anything important. I know… I have tried to do this before and epically failed, I am trying again.

So preparing for battle, the three of us enter into the portal… and are instantly swept into a divergent dream of epic proportions, the following dreams all took place simultaneously on different planes, in different parallel worlds…

I exit the portal and I am immediately greeted with a large explosion that blasts me about 50 feet backwards, I would have passed through the portal again if it hadn't closed behind me. I land on the ground and realize I have been protected by a quick reacting Witchblade. I look around to try and get an idea of what is going on. I am completely surrounded by chaos, it is hard to keep track of anything that is happening. What I am able to identify is there is a massive battle around me between Templars and someone else, a lot of them look like Assassins, though many of them look unfamiliar to me. I sense where I need to go almost instinctively, so I start making my way through the battle field without paying any more attention to the chaos than I have to in order to keep from getting blasted.

It seems that the Templars have a problem with my trying to pass through the battle field undetected, however, as a bunch of them get in my way and are clearly going to give me trouble. I have a sense of urgency, so I don't want to spend time playing with Templars right now… so I form Witchblade into full armor and a sharp sword and charge right into the group of Templars, cutting through the couple in front and then jumping up into the air, using a blast of energy to propel myself up higher, and I end up flying right over the main group of them towards a mountain that I immediately identify as my destination. There are Templars firing everything they can manage to fire at me, arrows, burning arrows, energy blasts, guns… Withcblade is blocking much of it, and much of it is missing, I am thinking they really don't have a clue what they're supposed to be doing here. I come to a landing, not at the base of the mountain, but at the entrance to a cave about half way up the mountain. I hurry inside the cave and am now sheltered from the barrage of crap being fired at me by random Templars.

I now find myself in a long passageway, it definitely looks like the dungeon Nomad described seeing Asuka in, so I head down the hall to see if I can find her. I come around a corner and get attacked by a Templar guard, this one is stronger than the ones outside, he also seems to know what his mission is, his mission is clearly to kill me. He has some kind of weapon that fires tendrils much like a Witchblade, and those tendrils are spiked and wrap around me. They never actually get a hold on me, however, as I power up an energy field that holds them at a distance and then the energy field becomes strong enough to incinerate the tendrils in white flames. Not only that, but the white flames travel along the tendrils back to the Templar and engulf him in white flames, he burns brightly for a moment and then is gone. I continue down the halls, somehow sensing which way I have to go through the labyrinth of passages. I come around another corner and find myself face to face with the face of a big cat / human or something, it is hard to tell because it has its mouth wide open and is roaring deafeningly in my face… roaring an expletive? Roaring that it wants to be taken to Asuka now? Why is he asking me where Asuka is? If he's a Templar he should already know where Asuka is… if he is a Templar… So I wait for him to finish his yelling in my face, most of it isn't intelligible anyhow, then I finally decide to summon and pop a large breath mint into the yelling mouth.

That has an instant effect, the mouth closes, and the cat face has a thoughtful look on his face as he sucks on the breath mint, then he gets an interesting look on his face and says my poison tastes good… but it wasn't going to… uh… he stops talking mid-sentence. I tell him it's not poison, it's a breath mint for his foul breath. He stands there looking for a minute, then he clearly recognizes me as Raven, and it is the same time that I recognize him as Nomad… he says we have to get Asuka out of there, I say I know, and we continue down into the dungeon farther.

There are more Templars in the way, we take them all out, although the last one in the way looks more like a large mech than a regular Templar, and it has a lot more power than normal Templars. But between Nomad and me, we take him down without much trouble… I trip him up with some tendrils of Witchblade, Nomad ran something large and sharp through the thing's neck, which I hit with lightning… so the Templar mech was tripped, impaled and beheaded, and then electrocuted. I figure that should do the trick, and it does, so Nomad and I continue into the lowest part of the dungeon where we find Asuka chained to a wall, naked, it looks like she has been beaten badly… and there is a Templar there with a burning torch, he is burning her repeatedly and laughing at her. Before I can even react, Nomad was apparently so pissed nothing could get in his way, he is on top of the Templar tearing pieces off and throwing them randomly around… I get hit in the face with an unidentifiable chunk of bloody flesh… yuck… Since Nomad seems to have the Templar taken care of, I go over to free Asuka, heal her, and also to summon up some clothes to cover her, a nice kimono like I am used to seeing her in, she seems happy to see me. I am getting a hug from Asuka when Nomad finishes with the Templar and looks over at us, he is covered in blood and yuck but seems pleased with himself…

    11. 10/27/10 Plane 2 - Death Trading

by , 10-29-2010 at 12:11 PM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
So preparing for battle, the three of us enter into the portal… and are instantly swept into a divergent dream of epic proportions, the following dreams all took place simultaneously on different planes, in different parallel worlds…

I emerge from the portal in a different place, and it appears I am the only one of us to have made it here. I wonder where Asuka might be, I guess I'll have to find her on my own. I wander around what looks like a large harbor, there are many shipping crates all over the place being moved onto and off of large cargo ships. Wait a minute… Nomad had said Asuka was in a dungeon of some kind, so am I now in the wrong place? That wouldn't make any sense, so I start looking around again for some sign of Asuka. I start wandering through the many shipping crates until I finally spot some sign of life, there are quite a few people up ahead. They are transporting a couple of specific shipping crates. I notice I can see what is inside these two crates, the sides are just bars instead of solid… most likely to allow for air to flow freely so the people in the cages can breathe. There is a crate being lowered to the dock with a bunch of naked women in it, all chained together, it looks pretty clear that they are slaves. A dock full of slavers… could Asuka be hidden among the slaves? Either way, I figure there are slavers that need to die. There are more slavers on the ground surrounding another crate with more slaves in it, this one is full of men and children chained together. There are slavers with weapons ready to unload their cargo.

I am about to go out and kick some slaver ass when I hear a voice behind me, and I realize I have been so caught up in the slavers that I hadn't been scanning for energy signatures around me… someone had approached me while I was distracted. The voice says something about getting to work, I wonder if this person thinks I am one of the slavers and expects me to help unload the slaves. I turn quickly to see who is there, and I do a quick double take as I recognize the person there with me… Mzzkc? Ok, I figure he is talking about kicking some slaver ass, so I say I am ready to kick some ass. I form my Witchblade into a sword and I am about to attack, Mzzkc is already on some of them. He draws his sword and slices through a slaver only to turn quickly and remove another slaver's head and then dissecting a third slaver before skewering a fourth and slicing a fifth completely in half at the waist. And this is all before the slavers have even had a chance to fire their weapons. Mzzkc says he's going to free the prisoners, so keep the slavers off him. He is going after the crate with the men in it, so I don't take the time to say anything about the possibility of Asuka being in there. If she is there, she would be with the women.

So while Mzzkc is freeing the men and the children I am attacking slavers, using my sword to cut through a couple of them and then sending a tendril of Witchblade through a slaver who has apparently decided that running is the best option. The tendril cuts through the target slaver and then through a couple more before returning to Witchblade. Of course this has gotten their attention, they aren't paying much attention to Mzzkc now, they are in a bit of chaos. Many of them are already dead, and the ones left seem to not know what to think of the fact they're being attacked by someone with a sword and some kind of a whip that cuts through flesh like a knife through butter. One of the slavers has his senses enough to fire an automatic weapon in my direction, the armor of Witchblade forms into a shield that blocks the bullets. I pull an Alex Mercer, putting spikes down into the ground which emerge, one beneath each slaver I could see, impaling four of them. I look around to see if there are any more slavers… the only one I can still see is the one operating the crane that has now lowered the cage full of women to the ground. A Witchblade tendril finished him off. I then go over to find Mzzkc by the cage full of men, using a blue energy field to heal them. I am about to say something to him when he disappears… I assume he woke up.

So now I go over to the cage with the women inside it, they seem to have barely noticed the fighting going on around their cage, they are just sitting there lifelessly… except one of them. Asuka stands up from the middle of the group and comes over to the side of the cage, looking at me, recognizing me. Asuka says something about being brought here and sold to a bunch of slavers, but someone was using mind control on her… they used mind control on MoSh, too, is MoSh ok? I tell her MoSh is fine, just worried about her. I cut into the cage and then remove the chains from all the women before I use a healing spell on them. I tell Asuka I can take her home now, she is glad to be going home. I open a portal to MoSh's inner world and lead Asuka through…

    12. 10/27/10 Plane 1 - Demonic Fusion

by , 10-29-2010 at 12:06 PM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
So preparing for battle, the three of us enter into the portal… and are instantly swept into a divergent dream of epic proportions, the following dreams all took place simultaneously on different planes, in different parallel worlds…

I emerge from a portal with MoSh by my side, I wonder where Nomad has gone off to. I decide maybe not all of us will be in each instance of this dream to take place. So now I look around the place to see if I can find Asuka, since my portal led us here she must be somewhere around. All I see at first is a green grassy area with some rocks lying about.

MoSh says he knows this place, and it looks like Nomad was wrong this time. I ask him what he is talking about, he doesn't answer me, instead he calls out to Kaomea as if he expects her to show up somewhere around the place. He is not disappointed, she comes from behind one of the larger rocks and says she has been expecting MoSh to show up. MoSh says he is looking to get Asuka back, so let her go now. MoSh says that even if Kaomea is mad at him, she shouldn't take it out on Asuka, she hasn't done anything. Something about the entire situation doesn't feel right, but I'm not sure what is wrong. MoSh doesn't seem to notice anything strange, he is clearly annoyed with Kaomea.

While MoSh talked to Kaomea I look around the area a bit more, trying to find the source of my strange feelings. I find nothing out of the ordinary, so I wander back to MoSh and Kaomea. MoSh is clearly getting more upset by the minute, demanding Asuka back. Kaomae is just putting the moves on him, she says something about Asuka will be fine as long as MoSh gives her what she wants. I say to Kaomae that she had told me if Asuka was with her, she wouldn't give us any problems taking Asuka home. She gives me a dirty look and asks if I am really that gullible as to believe that, but now MoSh belongs to her unless he wants something to happen to his precious Asuka. That sounds completely wrong for what I know about Kaomae, who has always been friendly towards me. She finally says MoSh can have Asuka back after he pleasures her, and she starts taking her clothes off and behaving in a sexy manner… apparently not even caring that I was standing right there watching. She beckons MoSh to come closer, I know this can't be right, so I focus on a rhyme spell I have used before… "This illusion will no longer be, your true form is what we'll see…" I repeat the rhyme spell a few times, and sure enough, 'Kaomea' begins to change form into some kind of demon… soon there is a naked female demon standing in front of MoSh trying to seduce him… She seems honestly surprised when MoSh responds to her advances with a, "Yuck! Who the fuck are you and where is Asuka?!"

The demon finally looks down at her own body, at first she seems surprised to see she was in her demon form, and then she looks pissed about it. She hisses loudly and then begins to get downright ugly as her mouth opens up impossibly wide revealing rows upon rows of razor sharp teeth that look like those of a shark. She lunges at MoSh, apparently intent on ripping a large bite out of him, her fingers are razor sharp claws aiming to tear MoSh apart. MoSh tells the demon he should tear her apart for coming after Asuka, she says to go ahead… she is merged with both Asuka and Kaomea, so go ahead and tear her apart, she would revel in their pain. MoSh hesitated there, tells her to let them out now, she laughs some more. She says he should make her, it would never work. I said how about if I make her let them out? She glares over at me and says no one can do it, because she won't let go until there's nothing left of them. I don't bother listening to any more of her threats, she is back to paying more attention to MoSh than me. She gets downright ugly, her mouth splits impossibly far open to reveal rows upon rows of razor sharp teeth like those of a shark, and she is drooling… yuck… it looks like she wants to take a big bite of MoSh…

I decide I have had enough of being ignored, so I focus on the song "Come Out and Play" by the Offspring, focusing primarily on pulling the demon to come out and play, to keep her separated from Asuka and Kaomea. That gets her attention away from MoSh, most likely because it is working, I can now sense three individual energy signatures inside the demon, and I am focused on separating them. The demon is hissing at me and starts to move in to attack, but she is stopped as the two she is merged with are pulled out of her, tearing their way out of her, the demon collapses to the ground after the separation. It seems the separation has taken much of her power away. Asuka runs over to MoSh, getting behind him looking for protection. Kaomae is apparently much more pissed off than that, she turns into a large black panther and pounces as the demon is starting to recover, tearing into the demon with teeth and claws in a very vicious display considering she had said she was the spirit of love… there is no love going on there. There is a brief and vicious battle, then the demon gives one last hiss of anger, says this isn't worth it, and disappears. MoSh wants to know why Asuka was with Kaomea in the first place, Kaomae says Asuka came to her for help. Before any more questions can be asked or explanations can be given Kaomae disappears, I figure she woke up. MoSh asks me what that demon wanted with Asuka… I say it seems everyone wants to get their hands on Asuka…

    13. 10/27/10 The Portal to Everywhere

by , 10-29-2010 at 10:21 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: Asuka seems to be missing again. Last night MoSh had a dream where some creepy guy used telepathic tendrils of some kind to control his and Asuka's mind, at which point he tried to swap out the version of Asuka that has been married to MoSh with a twinner from another dimension. He used the mind control so he could walk out with Asuka and not actually have to fight anyone. Additionally one of those who had taken Asuka had appeared to MoSh to be Kaomae, someone we have been sharing dreams with recently… so my goal for tonight was to track down Asuka and see who had actually taken her. Nomad was suspecting Templars… I was tending to agree with that… so I was focused on finding Asuka as I slipped into a WILD.

I am in the biodome on the moon, which is where I said I would meet up with Nomad. I remember that I am also going to go get MoSh so he can come with us and help get Asuka back from wherever she is. I look around to see if Nomad might be there already, but there isn't anyone there at the time. I look into the pond where the koi are swimming around, rainbows of fish in the water… maybe I can go get MoSh before Nomad even gets there. I open a portal to go find MoSh and bring him along to go find Asuka.

I exit the portal into MoSh's inner world, to the place I usually enter. I go up to MoSh's house and knock on the door, I'm not sure if MoSh is still inside or not, but it is where I feel I should go. The door opens and MoSh is there, he says he can feel that Asuka is in danger, she isn't just over there visiting Kaomea, she can't get back home. He turns invisible and says he will watch to make sure nothing goes wrong, just in case my energy reacts badly to Kaomea's energy again. I tell MoSh to become visible again, it really doesn't look like we are going to find Asuka with Kaomea. I tell him that I spoke to Nomad last night, and Zaphor had told him the Templars are responsible for grabbing Asuka this time. It makes sense that they would try to make MoSh think Kaomea had something to do with it, to get us looking in the wrong place. I tell MoSh it doesn't matter who has her, I will track her down and find out who has her. I tell him Nomad is waiting to help us with this, he is waiting back on the moon, so let's go pick him up first. MoSh agrees to that, so I open a portal back to the moon, back to the biodome.

Sure enough, when we exit the portal back in the biodome Nomad is there waiting for us. Nomad says he wants to go by the Temple of Angels for healing before finding Asuka. MoSh says that will take too long, we might end up waking up before we get Asuka back. Nomad says that's not going to happen since we can dilate time, MoSh says that doesn't always work for him. Nomad says he feels it is very important to go by the Temple of Angels first, I decide to add my input that in the time we might spend arguing about it we could have already been to the Temple of Angels and now be looking for Asuka. I know that's exaggerating, but it seems to bring the argument to an end. Nomad opens a portal, and the three of us go through the portal to the Temple of Angels.

Once we are in the Temple of Angels the healing part doesn't take much time at all, there is a room in the temple that is filled up with golden energy, a room that is meant for healing and for enhancing healing abilities. Even though I don't remember ever being there before, I remember what it is for. When we leave that room there are several angels that meet us and are talking about something, but I am distracted for some reason and I don't hear all that they have to say. I am currently pondering why it might be that everyone and their aunt and uncle are after Asuka, the only conclusion I can reach is that it gets really annoying that all of these enemies won't just leave Asuka alone. After a bit of thought, Nomad snaps me out of my reveries and says we can go find Asuka now if I am ready. I focus on opening a portal to find Asuka, after a bit of focus, a portal opens up in front of us. Nomad says that once we reach her he will let out allies know where to come if we are going to need their help, and he says he has the feeling we might need all the help we can get. So preparing for battle, the three of us enter into the portal… and are instantly swept into a divergent dream of epic proportions, the following dreams all took place simultaneously on different planes, in different parallel worlds…

    14. 10/24/10 A Tale of Two Assholes

by , 10-27-2010 at 12:28 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: I have read in different places that writing dreams in the present tense helps aid in the recall of those dreams. Since I have been having so many fragments lately, I'm going to give it a shot for a while starting with this dream.

I am at my ex boyfriend, James's house. I can tell it's getting a bit later in the evening, and I am thinking I still want to get to the mall to the computer store before I go home. For some reason I don't want James coming with me to the mall, so I haven't mentioned to him that I want to go there at all. I am trying to come up with a good excuse to leave his place early so I will sure have time to get to the mall before they close, but I am having problems with that. Finally I tell James I have to make a stop on my way home to get something, and of course he wants to come along, he says there is still plenty of time to run my errand and then come back in time for me to head home. So since I am unable to come up with an excuse as to why I want to go without him, I agree that we can go together. James and I head out to my car and drive straight to the mall with nothing eventful happening on the way there. In fact, we don't even say much to each other along the way, which is a bit odd, but in the dream I don't notice this is unusual.

Once we are in the mall I head for the computer store to look at the games, I know exactly what I am after, though I still see no reason why it should be secret from James… it's just a feeling I have that I want to keep it to myself. In the computer store I head directly to the PC games, straight to the latest installment in the Assassin's Creed series, which is entitled "Assassin's Creed: Descent into Madness." I pull the box off of the shelf and find it is the last copy there, I feel fortunate to have found it. Apparently the plot includes the Assassins from all the different time periods ending up in the same place, the Templars attempted to meddle with time to allow them to gain possession of all of the pieces of Eden, which has damaged the fabric of space-time, so the Assassins have to target specific Templars who were damaging the space-time continuum to prevent this damage before it happens… Cool, I think, time travel! The box cover shows Altaïr, Ezio, someone I don't recognize but is clearly an Assassin, and Desmond, who had apparently trained as an Assassin as well. I know right away that those are three ancestors Desmond interacted with through the Animus and then Desmond himself. James is behind me, he says he thought I didn't have the money to buy him a video game he had wanted. I say that I don't, this money was set aside for Assassin's Creed, which I had already promised myself. I tell him I do have to buy myself something sometimes, too. He tries to pull a guilt trip that I obviously don't love him since I had hidden this money, acting like he has a right to be angry because I lied about not having the money for his game when I had kept the money for my game. I look at Assassin's Creed and I am able to be unaffected by the guilt trip as I go to the checkout and pay for Assassin's Creed, for my game.

In the main part of the mall, James is still trying to pull a guilt trip on me, and I am still resisting it as I think about playing Assassin's Creed when I get home. I notice there aren't many people in the mall, apparently it is almost time for it to close. I tell James we had better get going or I will be late leaving to get home on time, he acts really depressed over the game. We are on our way to the entrance when I see something that catches my eye… a really big guy with a dark aura of some kind, he looks more like something I might see in a cheesy slasher flick. He is about seven feet tall, is dressed all in black, staring at a woman in a very threatening manner. I point that out to James, but he doesn't seem to think anything of it. I tell James it looks like there might be trouble there, maybe we should go get the police, that big man looked like he was seriously threatening that woman. James says it's not our business, but I feel drawn to them, to follow them and make sure nothing drastic happens. The big psycho killer type leads the woman away, the woman doesn't seem to be resisting, but I get the idea she is too afraid of the big guy to even try to escape. James reluctantly follows me along, I follow them into a theater without having to buy a ticket or anything, where the woman sits down with the big guy to watch the movie. I sit down behind them where I can keep an eye on them and still not be seen. It's a pretty crappy movie, it looks like it was made by a first quarter student in my school, the acting sucks… the composition sucks… the camera work sucks… everything sucks. It sucks so bad it's almost funny. The movie was about a couple who broke up, I could tell it was supposed to be more of a tear jerker than a comedy, but the sheer crappiness of the movie made it much more amusing than sad. The characters in the movie speak like zombies, with absolute no emotion at all, as if they are just reading their lines like a bunch of retards.

I notice the woman get up and walk away from the big creepy guy… but the big creepy guy is gone now, there is an average looking man there, only about six feet tall or maybe even a bit shorter, decent looking but not overly hot, with a friendly smile. Great… I'd lost the big creepy guy. But at least the woman is away from him. Apparently the woman has had enough of the movie, she is heading for the door which is standing slightly open and allowing some light into the room. Instead of leaving, however, she just closes the door. My attention is drawn back to the movie again when I hear someone speaking with some degree of emotion for a change, and I look to see MoSh is playing in the movie! Awesome, MoSh has an acting job! Too bad he is surrounded by idiots… He is talking about someone he thought was his dream girl, but he says that it doesn't matter since he had found the wrong person. The woman is clearly affected by this, and she starts crying, with the big creepy guy standing over her… I have had enough of that creepy guy.

I walk over to the creepy guy with James following me and telling me to stay out of it, but I am ignoring James entirely. I reach the man and ask him why he is following the woman around, what is it he is looking to gain from this. He gives me a dirty look, his eyes are solid black, it's like looking into empty dark voids, the aura of dark energy around him seems to grow and try to envelope me, to pull me into the darkness. James, behind me, is now staring into the creepy guy's eyes, seeming to be zoned completely out. He takes a couple steps towards the creepy guy, who grabs James by the neck and squeezes extremely tightly until I hear James' neck actually break with a brittle snap. He throws James body aside and glares at me, I notice that the woman who had been crying is gone now, I wonder where she managed to go. At least it appears she got away from this creepy asshole for now. I find I do not fear this guy at all, so I walk right over to him… my head is about the level of his chest… but I glare straight up into his bottomless abyss eyes and tell him if he is looking for trouble, he was going to get it… because I'm his worst nightmare. He doesn't respond, but I am now thinking about dreams, so I do a quick nose-pinch reality check and discover I am dreaming.

Now that I realize I am dreaming, I know I have a wide array of powers at my disposal to take care of this oversized asshole. I tell the asshole I will give him a small sample of what he will face if he doesn't back down immediately, at which point I open up with a blast of energy in the same manner as Vegeta does in Dragonball Z, I hit the asshole with a Final Flash of light energy. The entire theater is suddenly illuminated with the light from my blast, and the big creepy guy is sent flying down the aisle into the movie screen with a huge explosion. The last thing I see on the movie screen is an image of two people with their backs turned on each other, I don't recognize the people, then that scene collapses in on itself as the creepy guy crashes into it. Everyone in the theater is now standing up and clapping, giving a standing ovation to something I am not aware of… or maybe they're clapping for my kicking the creepy guy's ass… I'm not sure.

    15. 10/23/10 Convention of Demons

by , 10-26-2010 at 01:27 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: I am so busy with school papers and such right now, between classes and homework and work and dreams and… and… so busy. So I am going to be recording this dream in as short a version as possible without leaving out any important details.

I slipped into a WILD and found myself in MoSh's inner world. I wondered what was to be done first, I remembered MoSh had said Asuka needed healing, so that was what I was there to do. I didn't see any of them there, I didn't see MoSh or Asuka, so I opened a portal to track them down. The portal opened quickly and I went through it. The portal led to the healing glen, or that's what it looked like at the time. MoSh was there, as well as Kaomea… I could tell Asuka was merged with Kaomea. I wondered if that was a good idea for Kaomea to be merged with Asuka since MoSh had said Asuka was infected with something. I figured we would heal them merged the same way as we would heal them separated. MoSh said there were dream demons in them, so I figured that was a good place to start. I focused on the song "Come Out and Play" by the Offspring, focusing primarily on the line about keeping 'em separated, and focused on reaching in and pulling a dream demon out. I got one! It was quite easy to do, and I pulled the thing out. It attacked me immediately, but I hit it with a bolt of light energy lightning, and that destroyed the demon quicker than I had expected. It hadn't been that powerful, so why had it been having so much of an effect?

I looked around the area now, and I realized that while I had been focusing on the spell, the entire glen had changed. It was no longer a beautiful and pleasant place. It was downright creepy, there was a thick mist on the ground, the sky had gone dark like smoke, there was a foul odor around, and the plants around us seemed to have withered away just in the past few minutes. I looked back at Kaomea… there was still more there, more dream demons? How many could there be in there at once? I used the "Come Out and Play" spell again and pulled out another dream demon, then another… and another… and another… And while I was doing that, MoSh was doing it as well, I saw him pull out several dream demons, though I didn't note any details of how he had done that. There were so many that I opened a vortex portal to pull them all into a parallel dimension. Then I thought maybe the vortex could pull the dream demons right out of Kaomea, pulling them straight into the parallel dimension… so I combined the "Come Out and Play" spell with the vortex portal and started streaming dream demons right out of Kaomea… and they just kept coming! What the HELL?! There was no way there could be that many all in the same place… what was going on here? I had no idea, but it seemed to continue forever until the flow finally ended. I closed the vortex portal, sealing all of the dream demons, or whatever they were, in the void between realities.

I looked over at Kaomea, and she was still merged with Asuka, I wanted to be able to get them both apart, too. I wasn't sure if they might be stuck due to having had all those things in there with them, so I used "Come Out and Play" one more time… and Asuka came out, looking relieved to be separated. There was still something inside of Kaomea… another demon? How was that even possible? I wondered if there might be some kind of portal in her that was going to keep an endless supply of demons coming into her, piling them in just as fast as MoSh and I could get them out… MoSh and I were able to de-fuse the final demon fairly easily… but it wasn't a demon at all! It was a woman, I didn't recognize her, but I knew it was another dreamer, that energy was around her. I didn't have a lot of time to figure out who she was, however, she took off and immediately disappeared through a portal, MoSh was hot on her tail, and then the portal closed behind both of them. Asuka and Kaomea were both watching after MoSh as if they also weren't sure what was going on. This is where the dream ended.
