Haven't been having the best of days recently, which, in turn, adversely affected my focus and recall-ability. A few good dreams occurred in between, so it's not all bad.
On the first of this month, I remembered about three or four dreams dreams, though I only remember scraps for most of these.
Spoiler for spoilered to save space:
Scrap Group 1
Was within the world of some graphical roguelike. I fought a generated boss, which appeared as a sphere of fire or somesuch.. It was given properties that made it functionally invincible, so I was forced to avoid it.
I was in an unknown room in an unknown building, installing games in an old CRT computer. These games ran pretty smoothly despite this, though this required booting a very, very light Linux operating system. All this was apparently done for my niece, Emilia. Cut to me exploring the game world itself, going down the steps of temple ruins overrun by forest growth. On reaching the bottom, I encountered a monster, which I retreated from. I then returned to defeat it.
This one may have been before or in between the dream below. I was inside a very large room, probably an apartment room or oversized efficiency, the floor wood in a few sections, and carpeted in mauve in a few others. The bathroom and bedroom weren't at all separated. I was going to shower, when my parents interrupt. Of course, I leave out of embarrassment. There was another shower in the middle of the room, right within the carpeted area.
Dream 1 - A Mishmash of Magical Events
Scene 1 - Rogue Scholar
The visuals were slightly blurred. I was wandering the outdoor hallways of a school, a highschool, I assumed.
Much of the beginning's a bit hazy at the moment. I know I encounter some punk that annoys me, which prompts me to use telekinesis and other magical powers to deal with him.
Eventually, I stumble into a wide, darkened space, a round stage in the middle. Various men and women stood in the center, a few well dressed, and others concealed by cloaks. They whispered and muttered amongst themselves, speaking of some ominous scheme. I don't remember what it was, but I knew it wasn't something I approved of at all. I had to intervene.
Well, as they say, "when in doubt, blow it up". While doing my best to keep behind a wall, I raised both hands, and focused skywards. Before long, burning meteorites crashed through the ceiling, each bursting on the platform with a low roar, though all failed to hit the intended targets. The "Inner Circle" scattered around, all searching for the culprit. I quickly responded by fading from view with but a thought. Then, I repeated the attack several more times, only at a wider angle. The room had, by that point, caught fire, the structure slowly collapsing into itself, and choking smoke obstructing both visibility and breathing. That was enough for the time being, though I've had the feeling I've only delayed their plans.
I ran off, caring not where I went, so long as it was far away. In time, I end up in a familiar looking suburban area, numerous deciduous trees lined on grassy verges by the sidewalk. A bus stop was nearby, and with it a blue painted bench and public trash can. The place was littered with autumn leaves.
There were various people there, all busy raking up litter. One notable figure was a pale skinned, brown haired woman of average build, in her mid-to-late twenties, and dressed warm in dark blue and black clothing as well as a beanie. She seemed very familiar somehow, de-ja-vu sparking as I looked into her wide eyes.
Anyway, I decided to help out, using my telekinesis to pick up and dump heaps of leaves into the trash, though a bit sloppy, as I let quite a bit slip to the floor. Nonetheless, the others looked on in wonder. The woman stopped me to talk. She revealed that the meteors have spread debris all throughout the town, which, in this case, caused the leaves to shed earlier than usual. As for the school, it was now in near ruins. I was implored to help out there, where I was needed most. I agreed to as much, thought I kept a tight lip on what truly happened.
Things haze up again. I end up back in the school, still in service despite the destruction. At one point, some tanned skinned, spiky haired punk bumps into me in spite. Anger almost had me wipe him off the face of the earth, though I settled to stabbing his arm via telekinetic force. He hurried off, embittered but knowing better than to try anything else.
Not too sure what else happened. I know I stop fire from mouldering more of the building. Don't know how, but the scene transitioned.
Scene 2 - Hero in a Hurricane
The visuals were brighter but slightly blurred. I was in a beach at about sunset. Felt as if certain family members were there with me, though I never saw or distinguished anyone.
Not too clear on what happened at first, just me lounging around or something. Suddenly, hurricane force winds bursts throughout the area, scattering umbrellas, blankets, and other belongings all over the place. Everyone in the area hurried to shelters nearby, these being just the various bathrooms and dressing rooms around. Less than ideal, but better than nothing.
Eventually, the winds calm down, though we all knew this was just the eye of the storm. Someone volunteers to collect belongings left outside. This was but a boy, a blonde, scrawny 12 year old kid in blue swimming shorts. He hurries to the task, going back and forth to collect this and that for the others.
I'm inspired to help him out, using various powers I suddenly "remembered". This included flight and super speed, all accompanied by a golden aura and even hair whenever I used these abilities. Seeing as much got me to hum the Super Sonic theme from Sonic 2. Anyway, I primarily focused on getting the larger things, stuff like wide blankets and umbrellas. As I continued, I noticed the kid seemed a bit glum, as if he felt inadequate. Didn't intend that, and I thought to console him, but there was too much to do.
After some time, someone warned that the winds would be back at any moment. I went double-time, but, in the end, I could only get about halfway before I was sure I had to stop. I went back to the huts. The winds picked up again, probably even stronger than before. I was worried for my unseen family's safety, and thought it best to get them out somehow. And so, I purposefully warped all of us away, transitioning the scene.
Scene 3 - Dangerous and Silly Ride
The visuals were now dim and similarly blurred. I was a passenger in an unknown vehicle, travelling throughout corridor-like tunnels. Driving the auto was mom, while Padma and her were daughter fellow passengers. There might have been a few others, but I'm not sure. Either way, we were all greatly relieved to have escaped the previous disaster.
A few turns into our drive lands us at a dead end, the exit blocked by wooden boards. But Ma kept driving anyway, despite the obvious barricade, and our protests. We crashed through, only to find ourselves barrelling towards an unfinished road, which, strangely enough, was at a higher level in a very, very tall skyscraper, lit cityscape visible under a night sky. We couldn't react before we fell off.
I was quite astonished for a brief moment, until I remembered having powers. And so, I quickly reacted by halting our fall with telekinesis, slowly decelerating our descent before the vehicle comes to a stop at about 10 feet off the ground. From there, I loosened my "grip", if a bit too abruptly, as we had a bit of a bumpy landing. We otherwise arrive on the street unharmed.
Things get unclear for a moment. Eventually, I find myself in a grocery store, shopping around with Padma. The place was attended by a balding, 50 something year old, tanned skin moustachioed man, who stood behind a long glass counter that would better fit a diner.
Padma acted really silly for some reason, namely, by pushing herself around in a tiny, warm colored shopping cart. The store owner got annoyed, warning to call the cops if my sister stayed in the cart or broke anything. I urged my sister not to get in trouble, lest she lose custody of her kid (kinda jumping the gun with that statement), but she brushed this off, claiming I was being too dramatic.
I don't remember much else until dream ended.
