I was going to sleep for an afternoon nap and trying to WILD. I laid down and went to sleep, I started feeling vibrations and all, but then I didn't keep consciousness, I guess it would be a False Awakening from a WILD. I got up from my bed and started walking around a weird, almost haunted looking house. My sister was here. We started looking around collecting clues, there was one in the giant chandelier. It said how to explode. very weird. It had a location that the information was supposed to be at, I followed it with my sister (extremely strange). There was a table that had glasses on it, a bigger glasses over a little glasses. My sister picked up one of the bigger glasses and there was a tiny piece of tinfoil that said five cent piece. my sister put it back and we went our separate ways. I floated over to my room (I was no longer walking) I got on my laptop and started talking to people on DV, Some people are posting pictures of dragons. I look at one and then get off the computer. My other sister walks in and tells me to turn the lights on. I float off of my bed and get the light switch, and then I try to float to the other one and I can't reach. It feels exactly like it does when i am trying and failing at flying in LDs. "Just stand up and pull the switch!" she says, but I am determined. I close my eyes and imagine myself being lifted up in the air. After I do this I can fly with ease. I start questioning things, my biggest question is Why can I fly? I start thinking a lot and think It is because I was trying to WILD, if you are close to dreaming, you can fly. I lay back down in bed and get on the computer. I open up another Dragon picture. I am always pulled into computers/tvs/windows when I look in them. I am standing, looking at the dragon. The dragon is standing on a cloud and is 1000 ft tall easily, and 3000 feet wide. It is red and it's tail is the same as a scorpion's tail. It sees me and roars, an extremely loud noise that puts shivers down my spine. After it is done another tail looking thing shoots out of it's mouth and at me. I am standing very far away from it, but it seems like it is going to reach me. I look away from the laptop. My wife asks me what I am doing, I tell her that I am just on the computer, but I will still lay down next to her while she sleeps. I start looking at the computer again and wake up. In some dreams I can fly, and in some it seems impossible. When I tried the last time in this dream it had such a real feel to it and felt exactly like when I normally can't fly, but I got over it. I think I should be able to always fly at will now.

I wake up and write some small things about my dreams down. Sad I missed another layer 0 clues (In my dream I was talking to people from this forum IRL, and they were giving me loads of advice on LDing). I then decided to chant (like a mantra, but a little different since it is changing almost every time I go to sleep) that I would RC next time something weird happens. I go back to bed. Lucid 1 I am talking to someone on the phone. I look up at the sky. There is a huge black hole in the sky (only way to describe this is a rip in dimensions like Bleach) I stare at it for a minute, and then it closes. The clouds go back to normal around it somehow. I think about it and decide to tell the person on the phone that no one even knows what causes the big black tears in the sky, but then I remember that I need to RC more. I look at my hands, they are blurry (my hands are never missing fingers, they are normally just short fingers or hard to see). I know that it is a dream now! I start to stabilize and start seeing everything become more stable, but then I try to feel more of what is on my body, and it feels like a blanket. I start feeling it more and I wake up. I RC and write down part of my dream and go back to sleep. Lucid 2 I am walking down an alleyway similar to the last one in my dream. I suddenly become lucid. I check my hands and they look normal. Try to put my finger through my hand, but it is solid. I plug my nose and I can breath. (I was pretty aware at this point, so I knew I should RC first). I start stabilizing and can feel no wind, which was going to be my way to fly. I finish stabilizing. I look around at the landscape. I am behind a school. There is a tree with low hanging fruit about 20 feet up. I am not great at flying, but I decide to fly. I run backwards a bit and feel some wind, I try to use that to give myself an idea how to fly. I try jumping, but fall on my back (this unstabilizes me for a bit). My sister walks up and asks me what I am doing. I reply that I am going to fly, but pay no attention to her because she is a DC. The dream fades. I wake up, RC, write down a few things and go back to sleep. Lucid 3 I am in about the same place. I suddenly think Reality check! I perform a reality check and wake up. I wake up in my old room, walk over to my old window and start writing down my dream. I spill some stuff on my hand, wash it off and then go back to bed. I am about to merge onto the highway, I have been on this highway before. I know that it is a dream. I forgo RCing, and take my car up the on ramp, it just keeps going up and up and up. There is a random girl DC next to me and she tells me to slow down. I tell her I know what I am doing. I lift the car off the road and fly around for a while, going really high! I am pretty excited. I do an RC and stabilize, as I do this the car starts getting wobbly. I decide to jump out. I am not the best at flying, because my confidence in it was shaken a while ago, but I know I can do this (didn't realize that had I not flown I would have done task 2 ) The ground is flying towards me. It is just like skydiving (I was really high in the car). I look at a point and decide that I will stop there and look at the houses. I stop in the air suddenly. I flew around the city for a few minutes and then woke up.

I was in front of a mirror, as soon as I saw it I thought I don't want to look in that. Why am I afraid of looking in mirrors? This is a dream! I picked it up and saw myself with a full beard, which I thought was the funniest thing ever. I dropped the mirror and turned around, then I was standing in a backyard! I don't even think about doing a reality check, I know that it is a dream (I forgot that there are points for it ). I have run through my head what to do over and over, but it is very hazy. Stabilize! I barely remember. It doesn't seem like a dream at all, it seems like I am just being an idiot in real life and looking at my hands, listening, and trying to feel the breeze around me (I always forget to look around more to get that stabilized). I didn't look around to see my surroundings much, but there is nice grass under my feet, and I am in the back yard of a four story mansion. I can feel it now though, I am in the dream, I almost take off running, but what I wanted to do rushed into my mind. I have to summon something! I reach in my pocket, and nothing is in there, I knew that would happen, so I went on to plan B for summoning, I closed my eyes and thought Of course it is not in there, you left the Red Bull in your back pocket. I reach back there, and pull out a small Red Bull can, it is about three inches high. I pop the top and start drinking. It tastes a lot sweeter than Red Bull, I don't really like Red Bull anyways, but Red Bull gives you wings, and I want to fly. It takes about thirty seconds to down the tiny can. I look around at the back yard and I am floating, I do not have wings though, but I am floating! I am above the four story house almost at the tops of the trees that I will be trying to go over in a second. One eye messes up and everything looks less clear from that eye. I completely forget how to stabilize and wake into a false awakening into the same back yard that I was just in, but I am completely absorbed in the next dream.

When I was younger I had some dream experiences that went with the laws of physics being thrown out the window. Very cool times and both of them I even questioned reality. Here are two old dreams: Age: 5 It was night in the city. There was a huge building that I wanted to climb and on the outside I could see these floating red things. I went into the building and it looked a lot like a Zelda dungeon, but I had never played Zelda before, it took me a long time to get to the floor with the red things floating outside, and when I got there I realized that it was red couches. 3 of them, with people filling all the seats but one. I float over to the couch and began talking to the people there. I don't remember the conversation, but it seemed amazing. Very good time, but then I flew down to the ground and attempted to get back up to the couches from inside the building again. I make it back up after a long amount of time, but it seems like the distance from the building is farther and the ground farther, and like such a long time since I first flew. I started thinking that this might be a dream, but they told me to fly to them and I took a leap of faith (like a little Boss) (I was very much in control at this time, before it seemed like I was just doing the first thing that popped into my head, now I was thinking). I woke up when I hit the couch. age: 14 I was standing on a building next to my friend (he is my brother in law now) and my sister was telling me how awesome he was because he could do this. She pointed to him and he jumped in the air and floated away. "I can do that!" I said, and jumped and floated away. I started flying everywhere, but the more I landed, the harder it was to get in the sky, at first I had to jump, then double jump, and then I had to jump off of high heights. I flew into my window and walked to the stairs, 19 stairs. I knew that if I jumped I would be able to fly, but my rational side of my brain started working. That was a dream that you were flying, you woke up now and you can't fly. you'll kill yourself. then the other side of my brain I have been flying all day, I haven't woken up yet. I stared at the stairs, not knowing if it was a dream or not until I woke up. notes: I was very much into dreams at this point, telling a lot of people about my dreams, but I had never heard of them before, so I didn't know about them at this time. The stairs that I was staring at I can imagine and looked exactly like my parents actual stairs that they still have, so there was nothing there to give me the idea I was in a dream. I did not know what a reality check was. Had I realized I was in a dream, I might have been an oneironaut sooner in life. age: 16 I was going to my friend's house for a party (the same one from the story above), which was really weird since he hated large groups at the time. It was an entire block party and I was going around socializing when all of the sudden it clicks that "I can fly!" I flew around for a while really high, then went back to the party hoping to talk to some gals. (this was right before I started liking my wife). As I landed I did a bunch of flips accidentally before I hit the ground. These flips alerted me to the fact that I was only wearing boxers and I was in the middle of a party. I didn't really care about the embarrassment, but I spent the remainder of the dream looking for clothes.

This is a very old dream, but is one of my favorites because it was very vivid and twilight zone-ish I was in my parents house and we were talking about how the world outside was ending. We were talking about Revelation (from the bible) and about what was going crazy outside. They told me to go outside and see for myself. I walked outside and saw a huge orb in the sky. It took me a while to get my bearings. It was the earth, I stopped and stared at it. If I am seeing earth, then where am I? I thought. I looked at it for a long time and then I kept staring at it for the rest of the dream.

Now this is two dreams, but they combine into one, and I wouldn't have considered it two dreams except I woke up and wrote part of it in my DJ next to my bed and then I went back to sleep. I was with my family watching Lord of the Rings. It looked nothing like any of them, but if I had to guess I would guess it was The Two Towers, since their were wargs in it. I was watching the television, but as it always does, I kind of jump into the television. However, instead of taking control of a character like I normally do, I just watched it in third person. Not much to say about the fight, it wasn't in Middle Earth, it was actually in a neighborhood. I zoomed out of the TV and back into my parents house, I automatically knew that they were filming right outside. I went out and started talking to a Gondorian, he was complaining about how much it hurts to put his armor on, and how much it hurts when the fake Warg bites him. They packed up and left, leaving me in a backyard, but it was the dark red of night falling. I knew I should go inside, but I didn't really think about it. It became night and a Wolf came around the corner (I do not know if it was a Werewolf, but I could have been, I was thinking about the task of this month right before I went to bed). It jumped at me and I kicked it, I snapped its teeth at my arm and I snapped my hand back, the wolf started moving in slow motion, or I just started thinking in fast motion, because I was moving way faster, I pulled my entire arm out of the way of the mouth, but I could feel the teeth with my hand as the jaws closed and barely missed. He jumped at my again and I grabbed his head and threw him away. I walked back home. This was a pretty intense battle, and I became very vivid from this point on, and I had almost my entire brain there. Normally fighting a dog would seem weird, but my occupation for the past couple of years has led me to fight about 50 dogs without a weapon in people's back yards. I haven't been bitten yet. I crawled in my parents doggy door and start talking to some people inside. somehow I get back outside and I try to crawl back in again, but the door is way too small, and my dad tells me not to. I get back inside on the computer. I am showing people quotes from Lord of the Rings off of IMDB "Brandon, get off the computer." I look at the time, it reads 6:59. "I have to leave to work at seven, so I'll be off in a minute." I reply. "Sure you will." He says, in a knowing voice that makes me look at the clock again 7:05 it reads. "That is weird! It said 6:59 one second ago!" I know I have to get to work, so I woke up. When I wake up, it was 6:44. I was really mad about that, because I had 10 more minutes to sleep, and I had just done a reality check that failed! It also didn't feel like waking up normally feels like, it felt like I woke myself up.
