Here is where programmers interested in working on the Lucid dreaming game can come to chat about things that need to be done and share code that they have written for the project. If you are new to programming, don't fret. I will be giving a crash course in C ( Programming Tutorial ) I will also use this page to keep track of the contributors to the programming aspect of this game. If you are on the team or are interested in joining, if I have missed you, please post here to have your name on the list. Current Programmers: Shadow27 Rawracookie MadMonkey Bluffdaddy noturavgdreamer Saurfang
This is where you will come to learn C for the programming team! The course is outlined as follows: Code: Lesson 1: Introduction to Programming Lesson 2: Variables and expressions Lesson 3: Loops and conditionals Lesson 4: Functional Decomposition Lesson 5: User Input Lesson 6: Data Types Lesson 7: Arrays Lesson 8: Linked Lists Lesson 9: Stacks & Queues Lesson 10: Recursion Lesson 11: Vectors & Matrices Lesson 12: Introduction to Graphics with SDL Completed lessons Lessons in progress... Lessons not yet begun I will also most likely be creating some short little assignments for each section so check regularly. The first lesson will be posted when I have time. Thankyou for your interesting in the Lucid video game idea!

I have attempted a MILD and finally fall asleep after being kept up for a while by my mantra. I have a very unique dream. I have only had one other like it in my entire life. My vision was black and I was literally just thinking. No body, no sounds. Just visualizations and thought. The subject of these thoughts was lucid dreaming. The one time I did this before was about recursive methods in programming which I was only able to describe as a "dream in code". I remember having a "eureka" moment with something in that subject area but I didn't remember what it was when I woke up.

I haven't been getting to bed as early as I should so my dream recall is really suffering
I woke up and could only remember a very slight bit of the dream but not enough to even write down keywords
I hit the transition to Sleep Paralysis!!!!!! But the experience was so intense and I accidentally moved! Damnit! Anyway so here's the story: I laid down for yet another WILD attempt I had stretched, cleared my mind, and gotten all ready. So I laid down and started focusing on my breathing and the canvas that was the back of my eyelids. I couldn't seem to get anything as far as visual goes for the hypnagogics. But eventually I started getting my auditory. At first it was just the usually tones and shit. Then I got a really freaky one. It was a female voice, middle-aged. She said "Lay down, you need to sleep" over and over. It was creepy. But I was patient. I then got a really bright light in my right peripheral as if there was some light on my night stand. It looked like an external light. That lasted for a while and finally. I then got a hypnagogic smell. I smelled rotten eggs in the room and thought "god what is that?" but every time I try to smell to get a better whiff of it, it went away. A short while later, I felt my entire body go tense. It was indescribable. My heart started pounding very loudly and fast. It resonated through my entire body. Every muscle in my body was as tense as could be. Then I accidentally moved from the intensity so my body said "hey, you're not asleep. Fuck you" and feeling rushed back to every limb, although the "vibrations"( I assume were what I was describing as my massive heartbeat ), were still going. I tried for a while then realized that I had failed and got up. I did a RC which passed I had indeed failed.

Another night with no recall :'(
I remembered the dream for a while but had to go to my university's computer science building to do my homework for programming II. Now I can't remember enough of the dream to really write anything. All I know is it wasn't lucid .
I am in the dining room of my best friend's house and he asks me if I want to split the cost of a pizza. I said "What kind". He replied, "Everything". I thought about it for a while, I'm stingy with money, and then decided that a pizza would be good. I went up to my house to get something, my best friend lives across the street from me so it's not far, I do not remember what I went to get, but when I came back down, there was an african american guy there, presumably a friend of his, and he was apparently upstairs sleeping. I asked the friend why he would be sleeping and he replied, "I don't know I just came for pizza". I suggested perhaps going up to wake him, but decided against it. There was no pizza yet. Suddenly the dream snapped to my friend being in the dining room tying his Pumas. I asked about the pizza, he said we probably wouldn't do it. We went outside and quickly built two Go-Karts and decided to drive them. The dream snapped to daytime on Rt 100 South. We were riding along in Go-Karts, did not occur to me that they are not a street-legal vehicle, and a lady in an SUV that went by "told us off" for being on the wrong side of the road. We were riding on the right side and this is America so she was just an idiot. After a while my friend and I came to these steps in the woods in the middle of nowhere. They were like the steps made of wood 4X4s and backfilled gravel/dirt you see in parks. We tried to ride the go-karts up these steps but they seemed to gradually get steeper and eventually the go-karts wouldn't take it anymore. We would have to push them, but before we go off the dream snapped again to a different scene. We were in a cabin of some sort and there was a baby. We had fed him celery and apparently it wasn't good for him, he started wheezing and crying and a doctor came up and checked him out. The doctor said he had too much cellulose, that he was losing blood and friction. It made sense at the time...

So I tried again and this time I heard several noises. Many different types of noises but there was one thing common about them. They weren't external. In other words, I wasn't hearing them with my ears. I could clearly tell they were all in my mind but they were ear-splittingly loud. The first was like a train whistle. The second was a low hum. the third was a really badly played piano. Then something that sounded like pacman dying. and another piano only it sounded a little better. I'm positive this was early stage SP. I used a counting system but when I got up into the 400's I kept losing track because I was really starting to drift off. I could feel it and was conscious of it. Pretty cool shit . I can't wait for a LD.

I laid down to attempt a WILD, on my back, arms resting on my stomach. I closed my eyes and began breathing slowly and deeply. After what felt like about five minutes, I began to feel like I wasn't getting enough air but I kept breathing slowly and deeply, trying to ignoring the feeling. I then started to feel pressure in my lower jaw. The pressure increased and moved up my face until there was a strong feeling of pressure covering everywhere but my nose and eyes. I later started feeling somewhat disoriented as if my arms were actually a couple inches to the left of where they should have been. I noticed that I couldn't really feel my arms at all. Every now and then I would get a different sort of disorientation, like when you have just spun around twenty times and the room is still spinning. I could feel my eyes twitching and I thought I was close. But it never made it to full SP. It sort of just stayed like that.

No Recall
I remembered the dream for about 5 minutes after I woke up then lost it
