Cities in the Astral

In a lucid I am flying fast through narrow streets at night. Ahead I see the Idaho capitol building. I go Spider Man and shoot an energy line out and reel myself in super fast to the building. I can not get above the fancy stone work ledge. I stop and try to fix what ever is wrong in my thinking/expectations. I am doing everything right but can not move higher up the building. I decide to physically climb the stone work. It teeters and threatens to collapse on me. some form of hidden barrier?
