Smudgefish

1) Flying - very fast and good visual detail. I had some sort of superpowers. I flew down into a roon and there was a film being shown outside, the sound was very loud, a man walked into the room. He was impatient and I though "can't he see who I am, I'm floating above the ground?". Then I was outside and there was a disturbance, and a fight, I saw someone's leg being ripped off and he was killed, there was no blood. The killer ran off. I examined the body parts, they had writing on and were plastic he was obviously a robot.
A policeman appeared I put my hands up I was the obvious suspect in a murder. The policeman smiled at me, looked me in the eye and shot me at point blank range.
I woke into a hypnopompic state, I could feel pain in my chest where I had been shot and I knew I was in the afterlife, and thought that it is just like a dream and thought if I can just control it then I can escape. I couldn't think what to do, maybe try rubbing my hands together. Instead I felt large wooden sticks in my hands and banged them together, then thought I might wake my wife up (I was half awake, aware I was in my bed), they were very noisy.
Then I woke up properly.

2) I was watching in a third party way myself and a girl in a large white plastic bag floating down a fast river. There was some reason for this, we were on a journey.
The girl got out and we were in a building. She dries out her possessions which were in plastic wallets but had still got wet. There were a few rooms around, and some other people. There was a TV on in a room that we could see but we were told that we couldn't watch it. it was some sort of prison.

3) Walking down 8 flights of stairs (in a department store?). Hard marble stairs.

4) In a chemist shop looking for throat sweets. I couldn't find any but looked through all sorts of other stuff on the shelf. My wife was stood at the door I told her I was going somewhere else to find some throat sweets.

1) A girl was in a cablecar. I had to get to her so was on the roof of the cablecar. There was an announcement that the cable had become jammed, a guard came to check the girl's ticket, I scrambled around the cablecar to get to her without being seen.

2) On a long distance car journey. It was getting warm later morning and I commented that the traffic was increasing and it was good we had got away early. Then I was sitting outside the car with another man he seemd like a student of some sort, he was asking questions. He asked me if I undertood the futures market, I said that I didn't know anything about it and he offered to explain it to me.

3) In a large hall. There was a cartoon like woman running around I gathered she was something to do with lightning. She ran up to the top of some steps and went onto a ledge - it was like I was watching a film. She was rolling a container towards the edge and some old powerful looking man was talking to her in a booming voice (just like in a film) telling her not to do it. Then I was back in the hall. My wife was organising some sort of sleep over and children were arriving and being put to bed. For some reason I started getting changed into my motorcycling clothing, it as so tight I had to lie on the floor and ask my wife to do up the final zip, after that all I could do was lie there and couldn't move.

4) Walking down an alleyway, someone walked past me and smiled as if they knew something. I got to the end of the alley and there was a large thorn bush growing across so I couldn't get past, so I turned around. As I reached the other end two people I knew were walking past, they were organising a run and I think I talked to them about it and realised that I couldn't join in because I wouldn't make it on time.

As usual, once I recognise a dream sign it won't come back! No more cats tonight. Had lots of long dreams tonight, started keeping my dream diary by the bed but even so the dreams fade before I can write them down.

1) In a house. Lots had happened but can't remember most of it. I was talking to John Lennon, I was packing up my bag to go home it was an important night something like New Year's Eve but I didn't want to celebrate. I was explaining to him that sometimes it's good to be on your own and that's OK. I walked out of the front door a white taxi was waiting for me, and there was another taxi waiting for someone else as well.

2) This was a complex dream but I can only remember certain details. There was a large medieval catapult sitting in a room and someone was loading something into it. I think I asked if I could go in it. Somehow then I was in a street I think I was with my children, there was lots going on it was a bit like a disney world street. I wa told to go into a building, I asked why and was told that I would find out. I was in the building then and I was rushing to pack up all my belongings into a box (it was just like a freezer box), my wife and children appeared through a curtain across a window and somehow I knew they had travelled back in time to get me and I asked if that was why they had told me to go to the building, they said yes.

3) I was outside carrying washing and dirty plates. I had to climb up onto a road through a fence. I was at my old school. The headmaster's wife came out and was taking something to a house at the front of the school. I offered to take it for her and said I would leave what I was carrying here, she said I couldn't do that and just piled up more dirty plates into my hands, she wasn't very nice. I walked to the front of the school carrying everythign trying not to drop it and walked into the school. My practice manager from work put his head out and mentionned that he was buying some netting for the fruit cage and not to tell anyone because I was paying for it (I presumed he meant it would get damaged becasue people would be jealous). I tried to walk out of the end of a corridor but the end was blocked and I remembered I had to walk around. I went out and found the house I was supposed to get to. The front door was across a big drop with white walls, I jumped across. The front door was covered in overgrowth which I pushed aside, I found the door bell and rang it.

And another cat!!

1) On a long drive. The car seems to keep pointing upwards as if it is flying. I kept telling myself that this isn't a dream and settle the car back down on the road.

2) In a cafe of some sort. I walk out, then back in and I look at a table of people pretending to be looking for someone. I'm riding a motorbike and park it in a car park. It's time to leave and I try to find my way out of the car park, it's not easy. Back out on the road I realise that I'm not wearing a crash helmet and probably have travelled miles without it. I pull in at the side of the road to look for the crash helmet in my paniers - as I pull over I see my front tyre is getting a bit bald.
There's an old black cat on the side of the road in front of me, and then there is also a man stood there - he is really friendly and offers me some sweets which I decline, and he tells me that the cat's paw is getting better now and asks me if I want to take a look. I bend down, the cat is now in a box, and I realise that I do actually have a crash helmet on.

A lot of drowning in all my dreams last night, and more cats!!. I will have to look up the meaning of that.

1) Stood on a sea shore with my family. We watched a superyacht near a pier start moving, suddenly it was moving at incredible speed, it turned around, crashed throught the pier and continued in the other direction. We commented that it was just showing off. I noticed the wave from it come ashore and I told my family to watch out. Then my daughter was under the water and drowning - I dived it to rescue her, kept grasping at bits of rubbish but couldn't get her. the dream ended there.

2) Standing by a shallow river. I saw a cat that had caught something. It was holding it under the water to drown it so I went in to rescue it. The cat let go of it, it was a tiny mouse, which crawled up my arm. Then it became a larger mouse more human in shape, I looked closely at it and it was dressed in intricate clothing with a small cloth cap on its head. Then I was digging the riverbank clearing away rubbish as it was going to become some sort of display, then I woke up.

DROWNING: apparently it's about being overwhelmed by difficult emotions (I'm feeling very sad at the moment about animal cruelty and cruelty and selfishness in the world in general and my inability to do anything about it. My daughter drowned in the wave created by a a superyacht presumably owned by a someone very powerful and uncaring).

Loads of little fragments today that don't really make sense:

1) Lying in a field, it's warm and mossy.

2) I walked into a room a cat jumped out of the window. I called the cat back and it came to me, it was a grey cat (I keep dreaming about a grey cat).

3) I was walking across a road and went into a building. It was something to do with school. There were lots of parents sat around and I couldn't see any children, everyone looked really quiet and gloomy. I think it was the start of a school disco or something and parents had to come along.

4) I remember watching a film explaining how Stowmarket was the nearest town to a large glacier, the film showed computer generated images of the glacire with Stowmarket perched at one edge of it. Someone was explaing how they used to arrive at the town by train and it was so romantic but now it was routine.

5) Walking into a hospital with someone else who was in a black hoodie he seemed quite serious, the hospital was being rebuilt. The person I was with wanted to find the plastic surgery room, we walked past a door and I knew that was it but he ignored me and walked on and spoke to a builder who showed him a tap labelled 'delivery suite tap', it was tiny and red.

Busy day, no time to write on here this morning, trying to remember dreasm from scribbled notes:

1) In London. a job interview on a bed.

2) Back to being a junior doctor, I'm on call, but in my own house. I'm stood at the top of the stairs talking to a senior doctor and worried about what we are going to eat later. I'm saying I'm starving even though I'm not really hungry. Then I remember going outside and hanging a red coat up, it's raining.

Quick jot, add detail later:

1) Watching someone in bed.

2) Visiting someone with family. I was BORED.

3) Walked over the street to look at a special SatNav system I had to have for some reason. Noticed I was weraing a dressing gown as I crossed the road. In the shop I was told the system was illegal to use in this country.

4) Drugs at school.

I really have to stop being lazy and write my dreams down. Woke several times and thought I would remember a dream then completely forgot the lot in the morning.

Remembered a lucid dream though!!

1) Standing at the end of a park next to a road and realised I was dreaming. I saw some houses off in the distance and thought "if I'm lucid I could zoom in and look at the windows close up", it didn't work. I started walking across the park towards another house in the distance, I thought about myself sleeping in bed and reality seemed a long way off and didn't bother me. I then thought about taking my clothes off and thought that if it wasn't a dream that would prove it because I would get some very strange looks, so I took my clothes off. I walked towards the house and wanted to look in a window to see my face, whilst walking I looked at my hands and I had about 10 fingers on each hand. I saw my face in the window, the top half was a stange green colour and I had a large growth on my chin, it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be so I was happy with that. Then I thought about trying to fly, but couldn't, and I remember that I had done it before and managed to levitate off the ground slowly. At this point I was quite pleased that I had managed to stay lucid for so long and remembered that I should be trying to touch things to improve my lucidity, I think I slipped back into normal dreaming for a moment after that and then woke up.

Almost the worst recall ever.

Something about my wife driving someone around...

Slept through last night without any wakings, so poor recall.

1) Went into a bedroom, I had to go through another bedroom to get to it. I knew it was going to be scary, for some reason, but wanted to experience the fright and get over it. I walked in and felt very frightened then looked around and changed the feeling into a nice feeling and all the fear went away and the room felt pleasant. then I walked out.

2) Stood by an animal enclosure. I saw a cat chasing a baby rat. The rat was in the cat's mouth so I picked up the cat which I noticed was an odd brown/grey colour so it wasn't one of mine, and coaxed to to let go of the rat and give it to me.

3) Fragment: serving up some food to a friend's husband, he wanted seconds so I served up some more, it was square chunks of odd looking but he said he wanted lots.

1) The dream starts off in white. I'm walking through a town that has been bombed in the past. Some of the buildings are in ruins. The street has been re-layed around all the old rubble and metalwork which juts out awkwardly. Then I'm in a modern shopping centre, and inside a dark restaurant. There's a man sitting at a table, I'm in a spy film of some sort, I show something to him. Then I spot a lady that is involved with the spy film in the distance through a window, I let my accomplice know and she watches her. I go out of the other door and decide that I should fly over to the woman.
I'm flying high in the wide open space of a shopping mall. I see a girl drinking something sitting in a corner and fly down towards her, someone says "he must like you!", and I realise it's not the woman I was looking for and veer off to the left and up again. I was doing aerobatics swooping high up in the air then down again quite enjoying it.
Suddenly the dream changed. I was in a car driving along a cold dark busy road. I could feel snow landing on my face. I looked around to find where it was coming from but couldn't see anything open so just accepted it, I felt freezing cold.
Then I was walking through a tube station, someone asked me to put money in a collecting bucket. I saw someone collapse out of a lift door, everyone ignored him so I went over to help. He was having a fit. I held him to protect his head as he fitted, I looked at my watch, he had been fitting for 6 minutes, so I thought give it another few minutes before needing to call an ambulance. He was coming around and pointed to his arm which was at a funny angle, so I straightened it for him. There was a group of medical students coming over I hoped they weren't going to start taking over. A man came over to me and asked if this was my bag, I looked in and saw it was my wife's, she was there and I told her that mine had been stolen whilst I was helping the man and all my money, credit cards and phone had been stolen.

2) Doing the walk I used to do between my flat and medical school in London. At the first set of traffic lights I start turning left then remember that I have to go straight ahead. It's dark and I find myself on the wrong path, looking down I can see the correct path. Then on a downhill path it's all a bit surreal a racing car pulls up beside me but it's stuck on a track and turns at a funny angle and gets stuck, I'm pleased as I walk past it.

1) Walked into reception and started looking through some papers looking for death certificates I commented that I had 3 today but could only find 2, and I had just seen the body of the third. Walked out of the office, a group of young girls was in my way I pushed through them. Outside there was another group of girls and they seemed to be being taught something. I saw one of my cats stood with them and went to give it some attention.

2) A watched a farmer plough a field. He was also planting some seeds. At the edge of the field I saw him cut a branch of a tree back becasue it was in the way.

1) Something to do with work and writing a protocol for cardiology.

2) I'm at university with an old friend. I go out and then I'm at a religious building walking through an outdoor religious meeting of some sort. I walk through to the back and someone goes to get a wafer (I'm not religious but have attended services where wafers have been given out). I'm waiting for mine but it never comes, so I step through further to the back, and find myself a small round white wafer. I see there is a man dressed up like a preist next to me sitting in a chair. He tells me to sit down on the floor. Then we are playing a game. We are rolling apples on the floor and marking where they land with playing cards, the ground is very uneven and the game seems a bit silly but I'm stuck playing it and it's all rather formal so I can't leave. I find a couple of £10 notes in my pack of cards and put them to one side to give bck ot the priest. He spots then and grabs them from me as if I was about to steal them. I make an excuse to leave.

3) At the surgery. I'm wheeling my bike into a room, it's full of bike parts and obviously a room entirely devoted to cycling, a whole wall is full of racks of bike parts. I comment that I am really impressed with it and no other surgery would look after its staff this well. Then I'm with a patient in the room next door. She is sitting in a chair covered in a blanket asking about her investigations. I say I don't know what she has had done and I wil lgo next door to get her notes out, I need to know what has happened for the ward round on Monday. I go next door expecting to find her notes but there are no notes there, I look around and there are videos lined up on one wall, and I think wow what an amazing surgery there are even videos for the staff to borrow!

1) With my parents in their car. I offered to fill up the radiator but my mother wouldn't let me do it unless I had some special water, I offered to do something else (can't remember what) but she wouldn't let me do that either. My dad got back in the car. I wasn't hapy so walked off and left them to it.

2) Somewhere in Scotland. There was an old building sat in the wilderness, someone was doing some building work at the front of it. I looked and saw that it was an old BBC building, a sign said 'Studio One' and there were old posters outside with famous people from the past on them. I heard some singing inside from a very old TV programme.
