Dreams seem a bit random and boring at the moment!

1) In a canteen, Phil Colins talking about winning an award then he started singing. As if a documentary panned to his ex wife who complained about how much she missed him and how she went on a tour of Australia after they separated. Suddenly I was on holiday in Townsville with my family driving in a car, we passed a row of houses and commented that one of them was where our friends stayed quite often.

2) Poor recall of this one - something about the doctors I was working with getting ill, I was told it was my turn to go to the sick room with another doctor. then talking to some old friends and looking at some books.

3) In a mini-bus. Some kittens on the road but the driver just managed to avoid them. then I was ordering some sandwiches it was a special offer and I was ordering for the whole year I said I would come back once they had all been made. The I was talking to a patient in her bedroom, her husband leaned over and told me that she could have told me all this in surgery and I said that's ok I was just waiting for some sandwiches to be made so I had plenty of time.

In a hotel. I was looking for my room it was number 266, but I couldn't find it. I asked to use a phone outside someone else's room they said I couldn't so I was searching for another phone.
The I was outside on the street with a group of people. I didn't know any of them, but was trying to be sociable, I remember thinking 'this is how people tend to behave' - or maybe someone said that to me. Then I was picked up by someone and given a piggy-back and taken to the other side of the street, I was watching it as if I was a third party not myself. There was an old cinema behind us, something about an old man who used to live there and we went to look for him.
Then there was an invasion of killer red ants - millions of then swarming around killing people. We were running from them. I escaped by jumping around on rooftops, I remember very clearly watching my feet jumping down ledges and guiding some other people behind me. I needed to escape the town so flew over some cars and found one with keys in, it was pink and very high tech. I stole it and drove off.

I woke after another dream and remembered it at the time, but now it's gone.

I had to call an ambulance - there was a reason I had to get to hospital, something to do with a child but I can't remember exactly why - I was told to pretend that I had pericarditis. I phoned for the ambulance service and felt very guilty lying saying I had chest pain and tried to explain that it wasn't really that bad.
I was in a hall with other people waiting for ambulances. There was an old woman who was obviously in charge of the area. She asked us how we would go about talking to someone to make them calmer, we didn't take it seriously. An ambulance crew turned up and I asked them if they were going London way, they didn't hear me and walked off too fast for me to catch them. I gave up at that point and walked out.

Then I was outside high up trying to climb onto a crane. I remembered watching a film about people who climbed cranes and they weren't afraid but I was petrified and climbed out onto the main frame. Someone told me that it wasn't safe and there was a structual fault witht the crane. Then I was back inside and a woman walked past with her family. She was a crane driver, I was explaining that it was actually a similation of driving a crane, she told me about the compensation she got for different illnesses.

I was lying in a field a man walked over with 2 young dogs that were playing boisterously with each other. I called one over and it lay beside me.

Competition night #14

1) I was talking to a girl about her health. She had problems with her knee and elbow. Then I was withe her and her parents they were saying how awful the families health was and were shocked that she nowhad to go onto parenteral nutrition, I couldn't understand it. The the scene shifted completely and I was watching a car chase and there was a dog attached to the front of the car behind it edged towards the other car the dog put its nose into the exhaust of the car in front and caused it to crash. There was a big explosion. A major incident was called. Then I was a doctor attending the incident. There were hundreds of fire crew stood around and I commented that at least there were plenty of them but maybe too many. I walked into a building and spoke to the officer in charge of the incident and told him that I had to go and check out a computer shop next door. I walked out carrying my emergency bag over my shoulder. I looked for the shop but couldn't find it. I saw lots of other shps and stalls and went to see what a crowd of people were looking at and it was a food stall. Then I woke up.

2) Fragment: I was smoking in my office at work (gave up years ago) I got really worried that I might get caught and tried to hide the evidence but it was till smoking.

3) Fragment: My wife had picked all the apples in the orchard and was tipping them out into a big container.

4) Fragment: Watching TV in a small flat, I woke up and drifted back into the dream. Almost had a DEILD: loked outside onto a balcony, saw a cat smemi-realised I was dreaming and woke up again.

Competition night #13

Flying outside some sort of clubhouse, can't remember much else. I flew high then went down fast trying to make it feel like I was on a rollercoaster. I went down past a tree, saw a gap between buildings then up again - I repeated it twice

Lots and lots of little fragments this morning, going from my memory before I can write them down.

1) I was going to be killed by lethal injection. I had asked another doctor to do it. I was in a room waiting for it to happen, all sorts of strange thoughts were going through my head - I was imagining what I would be thinking at the moment it took effect, and what he would put on my death certificate. A lot more happened in this dream (or was it part of another dream?). I was in a deserted public school building, I looked into a room and saw that it was an old dormitory and felt sorry for the children that must have lived there.

2) I parked a vehicle in an underground garage, got out and walked up some steps to ground level. I had to meet someone.

Competition night #9

Not the greatest recall.

1) I was watching as a car drove into a large puddle in the dip in the road. I was following. The driver got stuck and the car was very deep in the water. He swam out of the car and I watched another man swim out to rescue him. I had some discussion with a police officer and noticed that the puddle was now drained and some dry road had appeared. I was driving a four wheel drive vehicle but I can't remember much more about the dream, although I know it went on much longer.

2) I was at university halls of residence and I had to get past a bouncer to get back into the building. I think we were packing up. Someone asked me if I had a whiteboard.

1) I was in surgery. Another doctor walked into my room he wasn't in a good mood, didn't say anything and was throwing sppons at the wall. One stuck to the wall and I looked at the walla nd say that it was covered in very cheap poorly fitted wallpaper with wrinkles in. A patient then cam in and was talking about rubbish and I was annoyed because she had been with me half an hour. I wne out and met another doctor and made a cup of tea, we were complaining about patients to each other. Then I was outside someone's house, I think I had to tell a young man that he had cancer, I met him outside but he said he had to go in before I could say anyhting, his girlfriend was in a small car stuck in the mud I offered to help but she said no. Then I followed the man into the house. It was massive inside with a metal staircase going up for hundred of feet along one wall, leading up towards another massive load of flats. I got vertigo as I climbed the stairs and got stuck very high up clinging onto the stairs which were really exposed.

Competition night #6

Annoyingly I awoke in the early hours, remembered a full dream and was convinced I would remember it in the morning.... all gone now. Only remembered 1 full dream.

1) I was sitting in a canteen (again, why do I always dream about canteens??) with lots of teams of people one at each table. Some were identified by particular colours on their backs. Then I was serving with my wife. At one table we were serving a man and his young daughter, for some reason I asked if I should treat them as a 'couple'. Then I was at a table with lots of other people, I think it was breakfast. Everyone else had been served a rather odd looking starter. The person at the head of the table announced that if I wanted a shave I had an appointment at 8.45am and I had to rush off to it as it was almost time so left the table. Then I was at the entrance to an airport. I was pushing a shopping trolley full of food, and I had to go in to get a new passport, and I thought that I would be able to leave the trolley to one side whilst I got the passport. I pushed it up to the first barrier and was asked for my current passport which I didn't have. I knew that I wouldn't be able to get a new passport now and had to turn around. As I left the airport the trolley tripped over the curb and fell over, lots of electronic good fell out and I started to pick them up.

I woke early and was unable to get back to sleep, so had a WBTB.

2) I can only remember the end of the dream I was meeting a man in a long street in a seaside village. Suddenly I became lucid and immediately, without thinking of anything else like stabilsation shot off upwards trying to fly, I got to the top of the buildings and immediately woke up. Not a very satisfying experience, lasting all of about 1 second.

Competition night #5
Lots of little fragments today, frustrating that I can't remember much more of the dreams:

1) Chosing a drink, I decided on Baileys

2) I was with a young man. He was going to leave, I asked if he wanted a drink first, he said yes and I reached around to s drinks dispening machine and poured a cup of what I thought was water but it was actually a fizzy drink so I said I'm not going to waste it, put it to one soide and went to get him a glass of water.

3) I was with my wife and children. I had done some shopping on my motorbike and parked it by the car to unload shopping into the car. My wife reminded me that my mother in law was going home with them so I had to leave room for her so starting putting all the shopping around the seats. there were piles of cardboard boxes. I turned around to see a very young car park attendant wheeling my motorbike away and he parked it - I asked him why he had done that and he lectured me about leaving my motorbike in the way and what would happen if an old granny had tripped over it. I was annoyed but just ignored him.

4) Something was happening in my field (next to our house) I remember a very old friend form university being there but can't remember much else.

1) At university. We were in an auditorium with a glass front looking out onto fields. Someone was explaining that aspargus grew on trees and was then transplanted into the fields were it gre. I couldn't see any asparagus so was confused, then looked at a map which showed where everything was planted. We were then all in another large classroom, it was very nice with carpet floor and soft chairs. It was almost exam time. Someone was explaining how important a particular form was and was making sure we all had a copy of it, I thought I probably didn't but could look it up online and thought it a bit silly that there was so much emphasis on just one form. Then it was the end of the lesson everyone got up and started to leave. I pushed in front of some girls leaving the room, The corridors were rather complicated and I followed someone else out. Then we were in a canteen and I was looking at a large metal vending type machine with lots of cartons of drinks.

Night 3 of the competition and nothing. I'm struggling with some personal issues which have stopped my lucid dreaming in its tracks and recall has fallen to almost nothing. I can't concentrate to do a WILD.

1) Fragment: Someone was angry - I watched him. He was on a quad bike with a large gas cylinder and rode off a track, across some grass, stopped took the cylinder off the back and set light to it. There was an explosion I saw it in slow motion. The man was badly burnt and now there was someone else with him who was also seriously burnt. The scene shifted to a rescue after the explosion. A caravan had been blown up and there were two people inside. I heard the firemen saying that they were taking it slowly as the people were safe inside as they dismantled the caravan.

I've got ongoing relationship problems, whichj really isn't helping me concentrate on dreams. And I can't read my writing from when I woke lst night.

Lots of fragments, 1 full dream:

1) Clearing out a fridge. I was searching for the thermostat and couldn't find it, I was convinced that my wife had hidden it and was getting annoyed with her. I was pulling out old food and putting it in a bag to throw away.

2) In London cycling up a street. Then I was walking along the pavement in the dark trying to avoid people. I threw something in a bin.

3) I was at the site of a new shopping centre. The central pillar had just been put up and metalwork was being bolted to it. I made a comment about 'not another shopping centre being built' and got some dirty looks from people who were very excited about it. The we were on a tour of the bulding site. I was amazed at how quickly it was being put together I could see the full air conditioning system in place with hundreds of pipes. We were shown the main air conditioning and heating unit in a massive room. It looked complicated and I looked at all the dials and pipework and saw lots of detail, then wandered through the control rooms.

4) A freind stood on the back of a boat. He needed help but no-one had heard him shout. He was stuck. I went over to him and he offered me a drink I looked in his fridge and chose a tomato juice.

Competition time!

1) Watching an archelogical dig. A small group of archaelogists was pushed out by a bigger group, it transformed into a massive dig with people camped out and donkeys wandering around. There was a school trip to the dig, I was driving to it and realised I had the wrong clothes I was wearing my best shoes, we each had to do a day out digging then we were coming back for food. I was having meusli and I put water on it rather than milk but it tasted OK. We were coming back from the trip a lady was driving a large white minibus. It parked in a dead end side street we all got out I asked if she neded help reversing but she said no, I commented to someone else that she was a good driver. Then we went into a pub for a drink, I said it's late I'm going back to ahlls of residence everyone else agreed and followed me out. I was with an old friend from university who was very clever - he started explaing something to me but it was way too complicated for me to understand.

2) I was on board Concorde with a group of students from my old university course. We were stood just over the wing section. We had to place a perspex sheet over it so that visitors could view the inner workings. It was explained that this was levelled up with a laser device. We were looking at paper technical drawings and I told someone that the old fashionned way was much better than using computers or a laptop. I put the drawings down on the side. I asked someone about how the wing worked because it folded back, they were a bit annoyed with me because I didn't understand it and it was really simple. A group of us were stood around I sta down with someone and he started talking about rugby.

3) Fragment: In McDinalds. I wanted a chocolate milkshake. had a long discussion with the woman serving about why the milshake amchine wasn't working - it was too warm. I tasted it and agreed and said I would come back later.

4) Fragment: I walked into a shop, looking for a choclate milkshake, there were two women behind the counter that I recognised. One was pouring herself some champagne. I commented on it.

Yes!!!! 1.30am and just had my first EVER proper lucid dream, it was amazing

Too excited to go back to bed, so this is a sort of WBTB.

Did a good WILD before sleep. Lots of movement but couldn't fall asleep.

1) I was behind a schoolboy waiting to use a cash machine. It was my turn I was messing about and the woman behind was being impatient. Then I was in a garden it was dark, I put my right foot into a ditch but it was a pond, I was wearing slippers they were then very wet. I went up a set of steps (more sort of floated) and was looking at a computer screen, the pointer had a really bright dot of light on it I looked away it was so bright and looked behind myself to see if it was a laser beam causing the bright light. Then I walked backwards I think I felt like I was flying so I immediately thought that I must be dreaming. I looked at my hands but they looked normal, I checked again, still normal, I thought what the hell I know I'm dreaming!! I flew into an open room and pushed a window open to go outside then thought why didn't I just fly through it? I was slightly worried remembering that sometimes people can't fly when they first get lucid and wondered if I might fall to the ground but felt confident. I felt like I was flying in a vertical position so went horizontal. I flew out of the window and out into a dark night. I could hear an old friend calling me in some woodland a way off so flew that way. I could feel cold air blowing past my face it was so realistic! I started to wonder how long it would last for and could feel myself breathign so I rubbed my hands together, then tried to spin. It was working but by now I was thinking that I was bound to wake up. I spun around again then I was stood by a BBQ in a garden. The lucidity was very poor and I knew I was starting to wake up and gave into it, in fact I was so amazed by this point that I wanted to wake up to write about it.

Added in morning:

2) In a vegetable garden of some sort. I was looking at a dense hedge of some sort of fruit plants. Some parts were covered in black plastic. I noticed that there was a blueberry bush growing at the back, as I pulled the black cover off some of it I could see the flowers opening as the sun hit it. I walked off down a path.

3) I took my car keys into a shop and hid them behind something on a shelf, can't remember why, I told the shop keeper what I was doing he seemed ok with it. Then I was on my motorbike, I was in Japan, the road was a about 20 lanes wide and I had to get into another lane, I think I was travelling into the city. I was with someone else on a motorbike, it was a woman. We got in the wrong lane. It all went slow for a moment she was explaining to me where each lane went to. Two of the lanes led to big metla structures I think they were cablecars, the one we went into I knew was arong. We got to the end of it and there was a boat. We stopped and looked the boat and there were lots of naked people stood on it. The woman drove away very fast and I said something like 'it might be fun!' then got on my bike and followed her.
