Fragment: From the Sea I've just scaled a wall, and am hanging over the top of it, resting on the top of the wall on my stomach. On the other side of the wall is ocean. From beneath the water, something large and grey jumps up at me, and all I see are twisted teeth fly by my face. Again this thing jumps out, and I see it's a retarded looking seal. It seem super friendly and keeps jumping up at me with the enthusiasm of a big stupid dog.
Last few nights my dreams have been mostly modeled after a browser game I started playing, Obliterate everything 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5_ogU4Jzt4#t=101 Work got super busy this week, so haven't slept much, the weekend should be better.
Fragment: Yakuza I'm on some sort of mission, with a list of tasks to accomplish, but I need help for some of them. I ask various groups to help me in exchange for favors. One group I ask is just 4 Japanese men in business suits. We help each other out and I move on. Later in the dream, one of the more powerful factions tries to get in my way by interfering with those 4 Japanese men, but they have grown stronger. Their organization is now large like the Yakuza, and it works out in my favor that this evil woman has pissed them off. Hmmm... Might take some time to get my recall back up to par
Well, I got the noise problem solved, now it's just the the humidity keeping me awake. Fragment: Nano Crap I see a splotch of bird shit, all white and gross. This shit is rife with nano tech, and I can see/sense the nano circuitry active inside it. I watch as that circuitry expands exponentially, growing beyond the confines of the bird shit, yet still creating new patches of bird shit here and there. The Grind Recall: 3/10 Sleep: Poor (too humid) Sleep Position: UnknownSome kind of sorcerer/shaman has my arm, and he's slowly grinding my arm up into hamburger. The skin, the flesh, the muscle, the bone, it's all getting chewed up by something I can't see. It's going pretty quick, and he's almost gone down to my elbow. I feel nothing, and there is no way I am paying this even the slightest bit of attention. I turn my back on the sorcerer, who is still holding my arms and grinding away messily, then feel two new phantom limbs in addition to the ones the shaman is holding. I'm a little surprised at how persistent this guy is, he won't let up. Even after I'm ignoring him and rendering his attacks completely useless, he still keeps popping up from time to time in my dreams all night, always trying to grind me down to nothing. It's completely ineffective though. There is meat and bone being ground from a body that looks like mine, but it means nothing to me. Was I lucid? Semi lucid? I had decent control, but I usually do even in my non lucids. Guy I was working with yesterday showed my the aftermath of what happens when thumb meets sawblade. Then he showed me the pictures they took of his thumb right after the accident. You could see bone! You should never be able to see another man's bone... Obviously left an impression.
Fragment: The General A military general and some woman are trying to hire me to teach them dream control. The woman offers me the beat up old truck as payment, but the truck already belongs to me. They don't understand payment isn't necessary. Fragment: Merging My home town and my city have been merging together into one in my dreams. In particular where the train tracks are in both places seems to be the convergence point. Features from the city and the river from the town keep bleeding into one another. Nothing spectacular. Might have work on my recall for a bit.
I've been using a different brand of ear plugs, more comfortable and tied together with a string so I don't lose them. They've been helping me sleep, and more importantly, helping me remember my dreams! It's been so long, I'm really getting into it now that I'm able to again. So much so that I'm having my obsessive compulsive dream control fixations where I obsessively dream about testing the same thing all night. Monday Messing around with archetypal structures. Each one had several main branches that I was able to activate or deactivate, drastically changing the functionality of what I was using Tuesday I fall asleep like a bird dive bombing into the water to snatch a fish. I went from awake to dreaming like diving into a pool. My focused attention had like a weight behind it, a heavier momentum that carried an extra oomph. I kept waking myself up and plunging myself back into sleep Wednesday A little obsessed with this new quality of momentum, my fixation incubates dreams exploring this all night long. I noticed this momentum often comes from scale. Changes in scale on a liner perceptual path can interrupt momentum. Continuous shifing in scale in any one direction seems to produce this kind of momentum. Doing different variations of the same thing all night long doesn't produce very detailed dream logs. No plot to speak of, and they all kind of blend together. But the practice... I'm onto something here, not entirely sure what yet. Look out world, the cusp is dreaming again, and this time around I've got momentum. Nobody's dreams are safe!
