      Dream recall lost. Help?

Well hello there, i have started my dj about 2-3 weeks back. Everything was fine with some progress everyday remembering even more fragments of dreams and dreams themselves become more real. I wrote them at my dj but 3 days ago all this progress is lost. Now I cant even remember/feel i have seen a dream.

Any leads why this happened to me?

      Should I worry about this?

What I can do to fix it?

Dream recall fluctuates. Sometimes we don't remember any dreams, and there seem to be no reason for it. But anything can effect our recall. Stress, change of bed time, length of sleep, ... And sometimes we do everything the same, but we lose recall for a few days.

Keep writing in you DJ - "my memory is good and recall is getting better every day". And believe that. Keep thinking about your dreams, re-read your old entries, read other people's journals... Let your mind know, that you like and appreciate having dreams and remembering them.

If you do all this, your recall will return in no time. Happy dreams

Yes what gab said and don't forget to set intention. You can do this all through the day and right before bed. Just tell yourself "I remember my dreams", "I have interesting and meaningful dreams," "I wake up after every dream and remember it", and things like this. Have a happy positive feeling while you're doing this. gab's advice of thanking your SC for your dreaming experiences I think also helps a lot!

Someone mentioned above, to add mantra.

Repeat as you falling asleep "I remember my drams". Or, "I wake up after every dream and I remember it".

This may not work for everybody, but it works for me most of the time. I drink few sips of water before bed. That wakes me up most likely at the time, when we are waking up naturally anyway. And that is right after every REM is over. That is the best time to recall a dream, that just ended. Often times I recall not just the last dream, but 1-2 before the last one as well.

Make a trip to the restroom. Have your journal ready there and write down as much as you can or want. Then have some water and go back to sleep. When I do this, by morning, I have 2-3 dreams in my journal. Happy dreams

I'm in a recall dry spell right now (hopefully I just broke it, see below), and I do use those mantras, but I felt like I needed something more since I've not been waking up with the same frequency as I used to, I added a "I wake up every two hours and recall my dreams" and it worked like a charm, together with some increased motivation from a tough dreaming competition, I had 5 wakings and 3-4 had some decent recall, lots of scenes if not long memory of each one, latest waking had fairly long continuous recall Now to break the LD dry spell....

i also do the mantras and they work sometimes but the last 4 days no dream call at all. Tonight was same. Except when i went back to sleep at 4am and woke up 5:50..I had a dream recall It wasn't very organized dream recal but i recalled few of the scenes.

Sometimes you need to switch up the mantras and find ways to re-motivate. I switched my "wake up" mantra to "I wake up every 2 hours and recall my dreams" and I did wake up about every 2 hours and recalled 10 dreams and 5 fragments. I also watched an inspirtational (sports centered) motivational videos on youtube.

Going to bed earlier tends to improve recall (as well as your chances of becoming lucid). Try going to bed an hour earlier. The advice the others are giving works as well. Keep up your DJ, Say Mantras if your really struggling, and from personal experience, I can tell you that drinking water before bed does help with my dreams.
