"Knowing" where you are

Have you ever had a dream where you knew where you were, except it wasn't like that place AT ALL? Example: I had a dream I was at a friend of mine's house, except that friend wasn't there, and it looked nothing like his house. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Yeah, this happens to me all the time! I once "knew" that I was at a friend's house, but this so-called house was a tiny restaurant... in Hawaii.

I always make a note of this in my DJ when I'm writing dreams down - I'll be in places such as a different school, but it looks exactly the same as mine, or a friend's house which is actually a mix of 4 or 5 different houses in one

I know exactly what your talking about. Has happened to me plenty if times. I also have times where im talking to a girl, and I know who she is, but she looks totally different than what she does in real life.

This happens to me all the time. It is either my house, or my grandmas old house. They look nothing like the RL counter parts in the dream, but I always identify them with these house. DG

Happens to me all the time, too. Most recent one I can recall... I "knew" I was at my sisters house but it looked nothing like any of the houses she's ever lived in at all. Not even close.
