Exploring a vast house with many rooms. |

Heya! This thread is exactly what it says on the tin! Post here what kind of dream is your favorite to have! And by, "Kind of dream," I don't mean lucid, non-lucid, etc., etc. I mean kind of dream as in what kind of stuff goes on in the dream. (i.e. Ones where you fly around, ones where you make out with random people, ones where the whole thing is in third person perspective, ones that are total mind screws, etc.) |

It's difficult to describe, but it's a dream that has a unique feeling about it, but the word "feeling" doesn't really do it justice. It's a bleak landscape. Lots of grey. There are often large areas of flooding. All the buildings are grey and walls are damp. It's like being in a bleak piece of art. It's like I'm visiting another world in another life. Never get lucid in them, but maybe that would spoil it. |

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
I like dreams with complicated plots. I love that feeling when you wake up and it's like you've just lived a film, you know? I hate nightmares (who doesn't?), but sometimes a little adrenaline feels good too. |

Wow, I just now realized how vast people's tastes in dreams are... =p |

Does anyone else notice how many threads I start in comparison to how many regular posts I make? No? Yes?

I love dreams that stay with you for a while. Like flying can lose it's impact over time. But sometimes a dream can be so twisted, abstract, absurd or mysterious that it will only leave you awake with questions. |
|
I know what you mean by 'feeling'. I call them 'atmospheres'. And I agree that they're indescribable. I think we have them in real life too but they change so gradually we don't notice. I'm not sure whether everyone experiences those different atmospheres or feelings to dreams so drastically. |
|
I like to read books, fantasy, sci-fi, suspense...my tastes range from authors like Tolkien, Koontz, and King to the likes of Gardner and Clancy. So, I likewise enjoy adventuresome dreams. My ultimate goal is to have a LUCID adventure dream where I let my subconscious actually control the events and I just follow along, using my lucidity to help me deal with situations that arise. |
|
I love having dreams that involve adventure and happen in places that either don't really exist, or I can never really go. Also dreams where I wake up and say "what was THAT about?" because they were so twisted and strange. It's fun to try to figure out how they might relate to my real life. Oh and flying is the best, but I'm not very good at it...yet. |

I like those kind of dreams that stay with me for a while. You know, where you keep getting reminded of the dream without even trying, because it was so puzzling, beautiful and/or vivid. For me, these memorable dreams are mostly about family or falling/being in love, but I can also embrace a nightmare, when it belongs to the memorable category. |

It doesn't matter whether this is a dream or not.
It's a beautiful gift anyways!
I think my favorite kind of dream is when it's like I'm visiting another world, or universe. Second to that would be when I meet interesting people or beings and entities that I feel are important in some way. For example, deities, other lucid dreamers, and travels through different planes. Neat stuff like that. Bonus if I'm lucid for it. |
|
That sounds like a lot of fun. I might try to do something like that tonight with my WILD attempt later |

Dream Related Goals:
have at least 1 lucid dream this month [X] | remember 1 dream every night 1 week in a row [X ] | Successful MILD this month [X] | Successful WILD this month [ ]
Dreams that involve a combination of flying and exploration are easily my personal favorite so far. Zombie dreams are also high up there on my list of favorite types of dreams. |

My Lucid Dreaming Motto - "I have walked upon the the surface of a burning star. Observed events so infinitesimal and instantaneous that they can barely be described as having occurred at all. You... you're just a dream character. And this world's most powerful dream character poses no more threat to me than it's smartest cupcake." - Dr. Manhattan (kinda)
Dreams where I meet new DC and have a short friendship with them. Some conversations can be very interesting and insightful. |

Goals:
Easy: Be lucid twice in a week (x), Fly (x), Epic fight with Zombies! ()
Medium: Control any elements (x), change everything into chocolate (x), travel around the world
Hard: Transform into an animal (partial), Be a Ninja (), make everyone ginger ()
And, how could I forget, zombie/any other mythical creature apocalypse! Some awesome music tends to play in the background (specifically, Eye of the Tiger). |

I like dreams that are bizarre and seem nonsensical on the surface, but obviously are full of symbolic meanings. They engage your mind twice - once while you're dreaming it, and once while you're sitting there trying to interpret it |
|
My two favorite types of dreams would have to be adventurous ones where I'm constantly exploring a place or setting that isn't real and nightmares. Nightmares tend to stick with me, be incredibly vivid, and give me a bit of an adrenaline rush. |
