Thread: The Color of Lucidity!

Hello hello! This may seem rather random, but I am working on a project of which a generalization of answers to this following question would be quite helpful.

When you hear or read the words "pleasant dream" a default image should pop into your head. So if you were to choose a color from that image that would best remind you of a pleasant dream (lucid or not), what would it be?

Heh, so yeah, seems like a random question, but answers are appreciated.

It'd be a sort of light purple to pink, I'm not sure why hahaha

Same.

That shade of sky blue that the site used to be covered in before we upgraded to VB 4.

For me it's a darkish sky blue color.
Pleasant dream makes me think of the sky and water for some reason.
The first image that came into my head was a beach at dawn, looking at the horizon of the sea.

Edit: It's funny how after posting this, I looked at my avatar, and that's very close to what I was thinking about. I actually chose that avatar because it reminded me of dreaming.

i think of a really light sky blue or maybe even white (which isn't even really a color).

I think of sky blue or bright blue.

Huh, 2 out of 6 people think pink/purple over light blue/white.

A pale, lighter sort of steel blue.

It's purple for me, not regular purple tho there's a definite shade that i picture its a deep purple but its got a bright aura about it, kinda of a radiance or brilliance to it, its hafd to describe lol.

The reason it's purple for me, is because the dreams that i associate with good strong emotions, love, happiness, peace... etc purple is a prominent colour that stands apart from the dreams other colours. it's also the last thing i remember about those dreams before i wake, a "fade to purple" type thing.

Light green. It's the p in the word pleasant. It's like a toothpaste green.

Hmm, I haven't pinpointed the reason why it's that sort of color for me. I might find it out now. I think of the sky in those colors, like a beautiful sunset. hmmmm

i chose light sky blue because it seems to me (idk about you guys) that life feels and even looks blue. i associate life with good. and white because white feels pure.

I always think of the openness and freedom of the sky and the sea. That pale blue color that you see on the horizon where the two meet.

Bright green for me. My most calming and sensual dreams (usually not lucid, just incredibly vivid) always take place on open, rolling hillsides. The color of the grass popped in first. Then the blue sky, then the dark forests, etc. etc.

Slightly darker than the sky blue.

Pale blue for me I think

The first colour that pops into my head is green.

That's most likely because I've had one lucid dream; as a result I hold that up high as my favourite dream to date and in that dream I was standing on something that was green in colour when I first became lucid.

White/ offwhite hazy, like from morning clouds

so some people voted for two... so out of 16 people 3 votes for pink 4 votes for purple 8 votes for blue 3 for green and 2 for white. interesting. 20 total votes ou of 16 people. i wonder if anybody else is interested on voting. i want to see where this goes.
