You need to suspend belief. Understandably, opening your room door to a beach is irrational. You know what should be behind the door, and this knowledge is precluding the appearance of a beach scene. I recommend not going through a door that already exists in real life. Everything that is real has connotations, such as knowledge of where a particular door leads. You must create one.

Practice this in real life first. Look at a blank wall in your room, and focus on visualising an unusual door axis-by-axis (draw it with your mind, focus on its structure and function). As you're building the door, simultaneously associate a place where this door leads to. When you're wholeheartedly convinced that such a door really exists in your room, then in your mundane 'My Room' dream, this will materialise. Just walk through it.

You only need one door because anywhere else you wish to travel once in the beach scene will not be restricted by any preconceived notion of 'should be'. The beach is fictional, and so there are no hard-wired associations with any further door/cave/hole you decide to go through.

PS. Personally, I have created a door that leads to a room of 6 doors. Each door is loosely associated with a conceptual space for me.
