I would like to start this thread as a reminder to reality check!

Be aware of why you are checking while you are checking

Look at your hands

Make these words move

Become conscious of your nose

Imanewb so posts your favorite checks

why you might ask?: it doesn't look weird in public if you do it subtly, it is quick, it is easy, it has not failed me and it feels cool to do in dreams.

I am too.

Seeing DCs that I have never seen before in real life is a big one.
Imagining myself do something, and if I am really doing it, it's a dream.
Lastly, do an RC everytime I talk to a family member.

I always focus on my hands. I think about how they feel in a dream, how they lack solidity, and try to put my finger through my hand. It helps me to remember how LDs feel too.

When I am alone, I jump into the air and try to fly. Gravity is always weird in dreams, so it is a pretty good check.

Counting fingers and nose plug are good ones for when I'm in public. You would think trying to read text would be, but my mind always makes excuses when I can't read words or digital clocks, such as it's too dark to read.

Usually in dreams, just doing a reality check reminds me that I'm dreaming.

One more I just remembered: if the Browns are doing well, you're dreaming.

I've been doing the checking my hands thing but I can't seem to remember to do this in my dreams or maybe I just don't remember doing it. I like the one about not recognizing people in your dreams. It seems that I rarely dream about family. If I could learn to do that, I might be lucid in every dream.

This was a terrific idea. I forget to do a lot of my reality checks.

I really have to make sure the words on this page are making sense... They can appear that way at first glance and thought, but if I really try to interpret them... Okay. They look fine and make sense. But wait, I should do a reality check just to make sure I'm definitely not dreaming.
