How much do dream guides help you?

People speak of dram guides, and of their difference from DC's. People state that dream guides can help with control and surroundings. So can your dream guide do everything for you if you simply ask? How much effort do you really need to put into controlling a dream if you have a dream guide as an aide?

Well, have heard they give important tips on DC, but I'm not very good with DGs, generally we end up fighting so yeah. Also, for me they are no different than other DCs, except for the fact that they call themselves DGs.

Although I don't know my dream guide, I think a dream guide really is what the name implies. They tend to help you with any challenges you face in the dream world. Some of them act more like guardians and protect you in your dreams. Some people also believe that dream guides are another spirit entering your dreams or your subconscience showing itself in the form of a DC. A dream guide would probly do most things for you if you asked, but it seems like they have minds of their own. With a dream guide as an aid, they'll probly just help you get the idea of what you need to do or clear a mental block. You would still have to put in effort, but your effort would be less likely to lead to a failed fireball spell.

Nice dream by the way H2. I met a sea turtle recently that talked to me through telepathy. All he said was some weird poetic riddle about the mind that I can't even remember though. He put me in some state of meditation and cleared my mind for about 10 seconds though.

Dream guides are normally dream characters of... lets say a higher intelligence. They can help your real life and dream issues and answer questions only your subconscious mind would know about.

      That's really REALLY ironic. xD

Anyway, I've heard of people who learn lots of dream control techniques from dream guides. I haven't met mine yet, though. I would imagine it would be easier with some tips from someone who is really experienced in the dream world.

I haven't recently encountered a DC that could be considered a guide. There is one in a recurring dream I had as a child that fits the bill though. It was some sort of wolf, and it is the closest thing to a DG I can think of. In my next lucid dream I think I'll see about encountering it again.

A dream guide could be a manifestation of your subconscious or it could be another entity. Really both ways they can teach you alot. About yourself and how to accomplish things you wish to do in dreams. You could manifest your own subconscious dream guide which would be easy. finding a dream guide that is another entity that you may or may not have, can be harder and he/she may just reveal themselves in time. Trust the messages your dream guide tells you. well maybe not if its something ridiculous and crazy and you haven't grown to trust their message. There is always a possibility it might all be made up. But they really can help you explore yourself. A subconscious dream guide or dream characters can be you guide into your self. They can teach you all about yourself.

Has anyone ever had it when their guide stays the same but the guide's body changes?
One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

For one that you can manifest yourself subconciously, you can maybe open a door and intend for your dream guide to be there. For a dream guide that is a seperate enetity from yourself, you may have to become experienced in dream travel first. You got to learn how to transition to other dream worlds in a stable way. The more you dream the more stable your dreams will become so don't become discouraged if your lucids are unstable. Your dream guide may actually anticipate you wanting to contact them in dreams and will show when you look for them. If this is not the case you gotta go find them and this can be some advanced stuff. But in time through experience and strengthing your dream body you can do it.

I just did it last night for the first time. I became lucid in a room, alone, and I walked straight to the first door I saw and believed my DG would be behind it. There was a guy standing toe to toe with me looking me right in the eye. He was taller than me with long, dark brown, straight-ish hair (roughly same age). I took his hand and led us into another room and asked him what I could call him, what was his name? He said "you can call me coach." I talked with him for maybe a minute before my alarm clock woke me up, but I still summoned my DG. Next time this happens, I'll do the same trick of expecting him to be behind a door and see if the same person appears. but yeah, I did it. Can't wait to ask him more questions!

My DG showed up once and never again lol
Maybe because I'm not putting enough effort in to dreaming.
But yeah I think they're a connection to your subconscious. So they can help you with any problems in your life (mental not physical most likely) or dreams.
