Dream characters who are tougher than you

Are you without exception, the toughest person in your lucid dreams or do you end up taking a lucid beating every now and again? I became lucid in a dream a while ago and went on a rampage. I went into a bar and jumped over the counter, knocking over pint glasses, and beer bottles in the process then I started pouring myself some beer from the tap. Thats when I noticed that crazy bitch Mary Anne from True Blood was sitting at the bar. She wasn't too happy about me sliding over the bar and started talking shit to me so I picked up the bartender (who happened to be a midget) and hurled him at her. I found it pretty funny but she didn't, she started putting a curse on me or something so I decided to run for it. For the whole dream after that I was getting tormented by some unseen force. I could feel real pain like there was pins getting jabbed into me. Even though I knew it was a dream, I was still getting tormented by my imagination. I stay away from witches and occultists in LDs nowadays cuz when I mess with them, it never seems to end well for me lol. Also every now and again a dream character will pull a knife on me and although I know I can't die, I usually just run cuz getting stabbed in LDs hurts. My reflex is to grab the blade when they go to stab me and its pretty painful.

There are several, but the trick isn't on strenght but on technique, then again all I do in dreams is fight, fight and fight more.

The first thing to not do is run away; if you feel fear (which can often be amplified in dreams), the dream can end up taking advantage of that fear, as you're the main source of influence in the dream. It's very important to establish a confident mindset. Don't be afraid of the dream characters; be extremely upfront and hold out your hand, saying something like "stop, this is my dream and you're here with my permission, which I can revoke anytime". Saying something along those lines usually works for me.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Yeah I find fly kicks are the most effective move in LD fights. Being able to fly helps since you can fly kick DCs from across the room Punching only seems to work on regular DCs, they don't do any damage to superhuman DCs. When there are weapons available I use them. Handguns never work for me for some reason. Even if I fire from point blank range, the bullet never seems to hit them. Shotguns work though

I prefer to just fight the DCs. Its a learning experience. Getting beaten up by a figment of your imagination is a very educational experience, it teaches you a lot about how the mind works. I can't use my ordinary tactics on superhuman DCs, instead I have to take extreme measures so I'll use any weapon I can get my hands on and I always utilise my own superhuman abilities like flying. I managed to blast a DC with an energy ball I shot from my hands. That was a pretty proud moment for me cuz thats the first time I've ever created something from thin air. I didn't actually see the energy ball but the DC went flying back. The reason I find fights to be such good learning experiences is because the DC really will hurt you so thats good motivation to do superhuman things in order to beat them.

I find that, from my personal experiences and observations, that dream fights turn out in your favor if you provoke them yourself, simply out of the blue and without fear/uncertainty being involved. If I feel like a DC is going to attack me, I try not to fight because it feels like the dream is deeming me "desperate to escape".

Fighting is a very neat experience though, no matter how you go about doing it.

i got held up against a wall and bit by zombies before, punched through walls, ect. i've also shied away from fighting some monsters when i saw them walking around in the distance, and i've tried to barrel through some big guys who were in my way and just slammed into them and fell on my butt, so yes. i can feel pain also, though it takes a LOT of damage for that to happen. i'm going to deal with these powerful dream characters by learning new powers, becoming more skillfull with my current ones, and just generally getting stronger. one thing i'm gonna do is learn how to use a telepathic attack of some sort, because when i fight, sometimes it's like i'm in mollasses, i can't move quickly or build up momentum when i throw a punch. i've decided that this is because the DC i'm fighting is using TK or something on me to slow me down. i'll overcome this by attacking their mind.
I have returned, but I'm not the same

DC's are what you make them to be, just ignore them or make them weaker.

Yeah its bad when you come across a DC of someone from a TV show, anime or film... As you already have pre conceptions of how tough they are compared to you. Just re-affirm to yourself that this is your dream and if you choose you can take them out with ease.

I am normally in charge in my dreams. Every once and a while, a dream character will show up who will scare the crap out of me. It does not have to resort to violence. There is just something about their aggressive and powerful presence that freaks me out.

Yes, it's what you believe? I have powers, do they?
      Most likely not.
      But if they do.
"This is MY dream, you're in MY imagination"
      Bam. Gone.
      Teleport it.
      Light it on fire.
      Freeze it.
Just be confident in what you do, I find that works for me. I've only had two lucid fights so far, but they're always lots of fun.
