Oh man I feel your pain, I had an FA where I sat up, grabbed my dream journal to write down the dream I just had, only to realise it was completely full and no space to write anything down. Then I sat there wondering why I didnt buy a few back up journals just in case this ever happened -_- gonna have to start RC'ing when I wake up.. |

Seriously - 500? Pretty hard to believe, considering you've only been around here since August! Exaggerating sounds like a possibility here.. |

False awakenings are frustrating, but they are a good sign that you are on the right track. |

I'm getting better myself at recognizing FA's, but I get these chains of them where as soon as I catch it I have another. I "woke up" about 5 or 6 times yesterday morning. It gets tiring after a while. I mean, how many times should you have to get up in the morning? It kind of reminds me of the movie Groundhog Day after a while. |

Try to focus on your successes, not your failures! Put a positive order out into the universe to receive a positive result. Jack Canfield's "Key to the Laws of Attraction" is good for this. Change your mindset, telling yourself before you go to sleep each night that, "Tonight I want to know when I am dreaming" or "Tonight I want to become lucid whenever I think I'm awake" - something like these but in your own words. Do not say anything like, "Tonight I don't want to to have a false awakening" because that focuses on the negative. Find a positive way to say the things you want, and say these things 3 times before you go to bed. |

Your resistance to something,
Is the only power it has over you.
This too, will pass.

Yeah, the easiest way to solve this problem is by making a big sign next to your bed that says "RC." Make it habit to RC every time you wake up. Once this becomes habit, you'll be LDing all the time. |

My favorite false awakening was something like this, over the summer: |
|
Every FA I've had since learning about LD'ing has been lucid, I just have a small suspicion that something is wrong, and I do an RC, I think that if I have a laid back dream where I'm not having an adventure (EX. Just sitting in my room or playing xbox) I would have an LD, because your usually not plunged into adventure right when you wake up (or when your at home. I hope). So I'm just gonna try to have laid back dreams, and hopefully I will have an LD from it. |

Yeah just RC whenever you wake up and problem solved. |
