      Lucid Dreaming Problem... Help?

Okay first let me say that I've had a lucid dream before, and I want to have one again. I have created a dream journal that I write in (Its actually just a piece of paper ) and I wrote my first entry last night. I've have been trying to lucid dream, but some weird things have been happening. First thing is when I "TRY" to lucid dream my arms feel like their becoming heavy and I start to feel dizzy or kind of like i'm floating (this is like after 20 minutes of just lying there). Then I start to feel like i'm not on my bed. It feels like my body is asleep, but I feel like i'm awake, and when I close my eyes even for extensive amounts of times I still feel like i'm making no progress. After an hour I just stop and forced myself to get up. I went to the rest room, but while I was looking in the mirror it felt like I was in a dream, and I felt literally insane. That was probably just some side effects , but I really want to lucid dream, and I want to know what i'm doing wrong. Thank you.
(Sorry for the long read, this is my first post and I needed to find a place to post this.)

Ah, sounds like you are getting to SP lol
Did you read the tuts yet? Check the one about SP and that should answer your questions about heavy arms and the like. Also while trying that do a RC, maybe you fell asleep without noticing it and ended in a FA.

Well when i went to the mirror I did get up because I had to use the restroom. When I tried lucid dreaming these past 3 nights the same thing keeps happening. The one guide I took said something about laying on your back, arms to your sides, avoiding itching, moving and or opening eyes, and that whats been happening. When I think of Lucid dreaming at all it seems like I automatically go into this state and it keeps me from sleeping, but when I say to myself " I just want to sleep", then I don't feel the symptoms. Should I not try this method and just try to Lucid dream when i'm in a dream or keep doing this and start one in the beggining?

Not sure, but this sounds like your eyes are opened? They need to be closed, for this to work. Get in a habit of RCing everytime you wake up or get up from a bed - the image in a mirror making you feel like being in a dream - possible you were in a dream. Happy dreams

My eyes are closed, but it sometimes feels like they're trying to open, and also I wasn't in a dream in the restroom because I pinched myself, and while I was staring in the mirror the symptoms faded away so it was just for this moment.
I should get an RC I Might use a watch, but I need an digital one first. Thanks for everything.

Some of the most reliable RCs are
looking at hands and counting fingers
      thumb through palm
      gravity
      nose pinch

in case you wanna try till you get a watch.
