      would this possibly work?

since you have to be positive all the time and believe you can do it and you have to want to have a LD would making a list of awesome things you could do help you in some way to get closer to LDing? or would it just be pointless because you wouldnt remember your list in a dream?

Yes, making a list of activities to do in your lucid dream will defineitly help. It helps you keep a positive mindset about lucid dreaming, and it helps you become more motivated. And yes, you can remember your goals in your dream if you are lucid enough, so this will prevent you from having one of those lucid dreams in which you did nothing. Good luck!

my oppinion is there is really only one effective way of lucid dream which i think is the true way, unless your an expert at WILD, and that is to always have an awareness of your surroundings, wherever you are. Always through out the day pay attention to where you are, how you got there, how you feel, and do a reality check. this habbit will follow through in your dreams, iv always had success with this. Get used to not letting your thoughts flow in your head non stop keep a leash on it, as when your in a dream the reason why your not lucid is because your thoughts are running with full power and the logical part of the mind is sleeping to stop you. So you need a habit thats based on the logical part of the mind

I'd say the list definitely helps! I have one, and it helps me to work towards the goals instead of just lucid dreaming "for no reason"

Yes lists help alot, in the DVA class I'm in you're required to have 3 tasks. During the time I was in these classes I went from 0 LDs a month to four in 1 month. If you need any inspiration there's plenty around. For example there's the 1000 things to do in a lucid dream, or even the tasks of the month and year!

You mean trying as many techniques as you can? A vivid and controlled lucid is more likely to occur when you stick with a technique for about a month. Always changing techniques doesn't give your brain a chance to get used to it. For having 1 LD in the bag I would recommend mixing MILD and DILD or trying DEILD for 2 weeks at least and see how it goes

Oh a list of lucid goals would be really helpful. It not only motivates you to get lucid, but it also encourages your subconscious to get lucid sooner. It's really better than just hoping to get lucid at "some point in the future".

Also, August has just started! I suggest you create a list of simple and personal lucid goals you would like to achieve this month. Then, reminding yourself everyday about what you want to do will eventually seep into your dreams, and hopefully, you remember to do it.

      Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I've recently wrote out a list of stuff I want to achieve in my dream journal and I read it a few times a day so that I sticks in my head. I usually pick one of these goals before bed and the moment I get lucid I remember exactly what I wanted to do. Also I've stuck images in my dream journal as well of stuff I want to see,do, etc such as a picture of someone kickflipping a set of stairs or a really colourful and bright jungle. Having these images in my head as well means when it comes to trying to make something appear or do something it's much more vivid and realistic because I have that image in my mind to work from. Hope that helps.
