      Your reason to lucid dream?

I had accidentaly wilded 2 months ago and i was so amazed how i could sense with all my 5 senses. I started to feel, hear, smell and touch everything. The experience was just so amazing like exploring new world. Then my next goal was flying it felt so real and i realized what lucid dreaming really was. Now most of the time i just walk around explore and taste all the foods, speak to dream characters, try using super powers and try to understand how is this possible where do my subconsiouss create this. Now my dreams have became so realistic. When i look my arms they look 100% realistic and dream characters act so natural because i paid attention at beginning to their behavior they seemed sometimes little retard.
I just cant get bored exploring lucid dream and using time to time supernatural abilities.
What do you usually do in your lucid dreams? I just explore.
What is you next lucid dream goal? I want feel pain. Just to see what it feel like.(Might regret it)
What is the weirdest thing dream character have said? To me one just asked me what is your first memory? And friend of that dream character said he is pretty weird dont worry about him.

I've always been interested in dreams. Sometimes dreamland is just so much more amusing than real life! Then I started having lots of nightmares lots of SP, which is when I found out about LD. Well, the ability to control your dreams is paradise to someone who was having about three nightmares every night!

Lately, what I do is the tasks I get from here. I'm still working on dream control, so they're really helpful.

My next goal, not counting the goals... I think I'd like to talk to the characters from a book I'm writing (an idea I got from someone here, though I cannot remember their username atm). It's just a really great idea!

Weirdest thing? I once asked my dream characters to sing "Let It Be", the lyrics were completely messed up. It was a guy and a woman singing it, they were going on and on about a lake and in the middle of the chorus, the guy started crying because of how much he was in love with the woman. It was hilarious.

My reason is I enjoy dreaming in general, it's always interesting to me to see the themes and characters that show up. When I found out I could exercise control over my dreams through LD instead of just being along for the ride, I couldn't resist trying it. I don't really have any goals at the moment, I'm just trying to get back to having somewhat regular lucid dreams.

In my last few LDs I have kind of gone with the flow and just taken everything in and enjoyed the environment knowing that it was a dream, but I used to try anything I could think of. Things most people end up trying like flying, teleporting, fighting, summoning weapons and vehicles, and weird things that just seem cool at the time. Once I stole a van and crashed it head on into another car, mine was unharmed but the one I hit shattered like glass and I went straight through it. Gotta love dream physics

Weird things DCs have said... This was a non-lucid dream I had last night, but I had damaged the side mirror, rim, and fender on a sold car at work (I work for a car dealership) and I just knew that it was going to cost upwards of $600 and possibly get me fired. In reality it would have probably been much much more than that. Well I was freaking out, and this DC who looked and sounded like Winston from New Girl, came up to me and said it didn't matter because we were under budget by $87 and we could just go get another car like it off the lot. For some reason, that made perfect sense.

Sleep is something I gotta do every night may as well try be aware through it and have a lucid dream, they can be exciting as well, was lucid yesterday probably my 4th or 5th time, thought something was off because I was crouching down behind a car and didn't know how I got there lol, realized I was dreaming and wasn't sure what to do but I saw a house on the street beside me with a big glass window and thought it would be pretty cool if I could dive at it and just pass right through. Turns out I wasnt dreaming and I got a bunch of glass shards and cuts all over..... Nah jk the window shattered when I jumped through but didn't feel a thing was pretty awesome, than walked around the house and talked to a couple dcs can't remember what about but eventually I remember the dream fading away and thinking no no no must stay lucid but everything just faded away and was no longer dreaming, don't remember anymore after that

I've only had 6 brief LDs, but that's enough to give me a tiny insight into what it's all about. It's a bit like I've managed to open the door to a magical world but haven't managed to go through yet. I just want to explore as well.

Seltiez I personally wouldn't recommend you to try to feel pain ( unless you're just going to pinch yourself or something), since the dream can be as real as waking life and if you believe you will feel pain you sure WILL. But to my personal reason why I'm trying to achieve LD's is simple ( now, since before I just wanted to fly and stuff). I want to enter a persistent realm , and return to that exactly same realm in my every lucid after. I haven't really made any progress with my goal even tough I have frequent LDs and near complete control( No I'm not saying I can control my S-consciousness, I'm interacting with it).

Recently, my reason to lucid dream has been to find out more about me and explore my subconscious. Find lost memories, know what's bugging me, find solutions, know what's my belief in several subjects, etc.

That feeling is the worst. Some times my attempts to stay in dream are just too pathetic and panici that i something like hug a tree. When i wake up i feel so retard.

Thanks for warning but i just gotta experience it. Pinching is too little but you made me think twice i probably will do something less painful than i had in my mind. Any tips on dream control? I have problem with certain dream characters to appear. Sometimes im alone in somewhere in lucid dream and i cant find any dream characters anywhere even if i try to trick myself that their behind me but havent worked yet.

I came back to lucid dream practice after about twenty years of absence, and my long term goals are spiritual self improvement and getting rid of my periodic depression through lucid dream practice. 20 years ago my reason for lucid dreaming was to have more flying dreams. And to be honest at this point I would be quite satisfied with more flying too.

I began around the same time Joanna did, but fortunately never fully stopped. My reason for LDing is mastery; mastery of many things. I like to take the things I enjoy doing to my highest ability. I began after reading an old short story by H.G. Wells entitled "The Stolen Body", and after months of experimenting I ended up doing a WILD; though I had no idea what it was at the time. Also over the years I have repeatedly found real people to be shallow and disappointing, so I prefer to dialogue with my unconscious instead.

Well. Only a week ago I came across the most powerful way to harnest control (personally ofc.) over dreams. I "accept" the fact that while I'm standing still in a lucid dream I really am only my consciousness, I have no body, that this is my true self ( I guess) and I'm within my own subconsciousness and I can interact with it like I said. By realizing this simple fact I gain huge amount of self confidence and power and then it's just up for me to decide what Ill do next. That's the only tip Ill give to you I guess, oh, and BELIEVE Ps. Try thinking the person you want to summon behind a corner instead and try not "create" him, instead try to realize that he really IS there.

I never made the decision to lucid dream. It just started happening after I had begun to explore sleep itself, and those states in between wake and sleep.

After twenty years of regular lucid dreaming my favorite activity, by far, is exactly what you have described. I enjoy looking at things up close, feeling things, listening, smelling, tasting. I open doors and cabinets to see what is inside. I explore.

First it was the sheer concept of such a thing(back in the summer of 4th grade, when I thought it was cool but practically impossible). Multiple weeks BREAK. Then it was an experience(A lucid sometime that summer or maybe later). Multiple years BREAK. Then it was curiosity(Found dreamviews). 10 month BREAK. Then it was f'ed up dreams(Don't even want to describe them, but they're generally gone). And since then I have actually taken move to try. I don't know what I've been doing for the past 4 years(had about 4 lucids, only one of which was anywhere near to touching waking awareness) but I'm glad it happened. I'm also surprised and glad that I have not given up yet. I hope I don't lose that feeling.

Lucid dreaming allows us to break from waking life law and order. We have the ability to actualize faint fantasy into vivid reality. Why would one not want to behave without such limits? In LD's, burdens lift from my shoulders. They form a sense of refreshment when waking in the morning; the perfect start to a good day. I enjoy aesthetics, creating landscapes, using super powers, and conversing with myself.
