      Using helium to float

This is going to sound like a very childish method, but has anyone on this site ever used a helium tank to inflate yourself like a balloon in a lucid dream in order to float/fly?

Here is a example of what i mean.

I haven't, but my method of flying involves putting myself in a terribly dangerous situation, so it's either success or die trying. I guess that makes my method more childish than using helium!

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

And then you can also experience how an air balloon feels when he's losing all his air because of some hole made by a nasty bird. That sounds like fun.

Although it seems like an interesting and creative idea, I'd rather not.

Lol, i love this method, i've never actually thought of using this. Seems like it would be a 50/50 though, because you may just make yourself talk extremely high pitched.

Being fully aware of the air whipping by you, controlling every movement of every single atom in your body with a single thought. It's real freedom, and there's not a word good enough to describe it, so I'll just call it dreamy for now."

Being inflated with normal air and being rolled around would be fun too.

Just like Violet Beauregarde from Willy Wonka.

I can imagine it would be quite easily to lose control of the dream if a bird would come and peck a hole in you. That'd be swiiiirling confusion of wakingupness.
Currently practicing WILD. I quote Kaniaz who said it best: "The point of WILD is to piss me off". Though, I have not given up, far from it.

O.o, cool idea, wonder how it would feel, and wonder why it had never crossed my mind before, tell us how it goes when you do it.

I have been trying to do it, but i have not managed to have another lucid dream yet.

Maybe you should give it a try?

Here are some other ways to blow yourself up in a Lucid Dream:

By drinking too many fizzy drinks (the carbonation contains gas).
By eating too many beans (beans also have gas).
By taking a huge deep breath in and it causes you to fill with air (but it inflates your whole body, not your lungs).
Conjure up a pill that when you swallow it, it causes a large amount of helium/air to fill up your body.

If anyone else has any others i would be interested to know.

      A suit

You could also use a inflatable suit, that might be a better idea.

OMG, I just used helium in a LD! But, I didn't use it on purpose.

I asked a DC guy to help me...so he puts his jacket on me, and fills it with helium! It does work! Sometimes, if I can't seem to fly, I don't fight it, and try a different method to fly.

OK, I somehow remembered this, though I only skimmed this thread once, yet I couldn't remember to do any TOTM's .

Not super long, long enough to get to the top of a building! There's an odd story behind it... Why I WAS on the building, that is. Check out the last dream:

It sounds like a fun dream.

But instead the DC filling you a jacket up with helium, he filled your body up with helium.

How would you feel about that?

No, I actually re-read that part of the dream, and it was the jacket that he filled up with helium. I was ok with it, I went with it. I mean, it worked!

OH! Ok, I didn't quite get that you meant "if". I really don't know what I would think of it... It would be quite interesting! Maybe it'll happen next time! It would have to happen for me to know how it would feel.

Just make sure you don't run into any birds flying in the air, they might pop you...
