Chimpertainment, you are definitely right! Some little reading about this fasting indicates that it also aids the circadian rhythm to adjust. So win win. But its hard i only did it for two nights, other days i atleast ate some chips or drank juice but it will take some time to fully adjust, but it really helps dream recall in my experience!
