      Was this a lucid dream?

This morning between 7:00 and 9:49(i know, refer to my previous thread) i suspect i had a lucid dream. The recall of the dream is totally "real". I remember doing reality checks several time to prove to myself it was a lucid dream. I did the blow nose cjeck several times, and I clearly remember being able to breathe. I also decided to try and fly, but all I got from thatt was a unusually high jump.

Its weird but I can remember the other persons in the dream calling me a lunatic, and thinking i was ridiculous for trying to tell them i was dreaming. Their reactions were as if i shoud have told them in real life. I even got the others to try reality checks, but no success for them.

I couldnt actually control it, eventhough I was semi aware of it being a dream. Is it possible to be semi lucid? Is it something that comes with practice? Or did i jus dream doing reality checks?

Many questions, appreciate possible answers from anyone

Nice work! I like to call these semi-lucid dreams, but technically they're still called lucid dreams Hang on to the feeling you had in that dream and focus on it, the belief you have that you're dreaming and you can do anything

If you need some help with dream control, King Yoshi has recently posted a great lesson in the DV Academy, I suggest giving it a read for sure Next time you'll have full control, I'm sure of it. You just have to know what you're doing and expect it to happen

Yeah, it was a lucid dream the moment that you became aware that it was a dream. With regards to practice, your dream control can increase with practice and therefore it will be what I guess you would call a full lucid. I have experienced something similar to you, where I thought i was just doing RCs in dreams. But I think that was just because the dream wasn't very vivid. Just remember to be skeptical of real life when you RC

Definitely a Lucid Dream It's the recall that messes with us. While in the dream, everything is way more real and awesome than you remember that it was. Telling yourself: "I am Lucid!" is a great way of making sure you were 100% Lucid.

I think you're just doubting your Lucidity because you didn't have enough control. Don't worry! That will come in time.

That was definitely a lucid, congrats! In lucid dreams, your level of awareness can vary - you might be less aware some times than others. If you aren't as aware, you may not realize the full extent of the fact that you're dreaming, and you might not remember dream goals you had set (if any). Reality checks are more for confirming whether you're asleep or awake than anything else - your lucid most likely came from practicing awareness along with your reality checks during the day.

As for dream control, it and lucidity are completely different. You can be non-lucid and have great dream control - you might have had some weird dreams where you used a magic wand or something. But, you can also be lucid and have poor control at times - you could know that you're dreaming, but fail to open a door. Dream control is just about how strongly you believe your actions will work, and effect the dream in the way you want them to. It gets easier with practice!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
