A few of my favorites. I can't really put them in any order, because when I am in different moods I listen to different artists. To put them in a order would imply I feel certain moods more than others, which is true I guess in retrospect, but I'm to lazy to really think about it. In other words no artist is greater than another in music in my opinion, but these are the artists that sing about life most relevant to me.

What's your favorite Miles group?

I'm not really sure. Highlights are probably Sketches of Spain, Kind of Blue, E.S.P., Bitches Brew, On the Corner and Live Evil. His second quintet is hot. Dave Holland is probably my favorite bass player that played with him and Herbie Hancock is probably the best keyboard player IMO. I even like his 80s shit. It's like he took all the sounds out of cheesy 80s soundtracks and said "Pay attention kids. This is how you make music with this shit." Star People is good in that respect and it has the bonus that John Scofield was in his band at the time.
