I hate those super-awkward office parties. In spite of which I agreed to go to the annual party when I badly wanted to go home. Niiice! Tomorrow I do have 'school', I'll be sailing on the school boat for a whole day hehe. I have a lot to study for in the weekends though and I'll probaly have to live as a hermit. *sigh*

Today is no boss day! I'm gonna sit in my cube and watch movies

I planned on going skiing today. I already had all the stuff in my car, so I just stopped home to make some breakfast and headed out. It's about a 45 minutes drive. After 30 minutes, I realized I didn't have my ticket (I get free passes from my uncle). So I turned around. I didn't feel like paying for a pass when I have several free ones, and I didn't feel like driving back out again. Ah well, I'll try again tomorrow.

Look at the bright side, in Lake Tahoe and Nevada County (the major skiing destination for all the yuppies in Northern California) they've had a record breaking lack of snow. At least you get to enjoy the ski season.

That's if you live where it's a 2 hr drive back to warm, (I used to live there too) Then like a fool I moved back to a ski area where it's a 24 hr drive to warm and it's been -40 below zero and they can shove the skis where the sun don't ever shine

It's still really uncommon, the Sierras usually dump during the winter. It may not take long to get back to the mild climate of Sactown and west but the elevation drop is pretty significant.

Not even cold enough for man-made snow? We had some snow this year, but the ski resorts still rely on making snow to survive.

DV was originally some guy's class project, believe it or not. His name was Icedawg, and he was still admin when I joined.

Yeah they're making snow but Cali completely avoided the arctic vortex and it's not even getting cold enough often enough to make as much snow as average.

Plus snow making is, at best, a supplement. When you only get a couple feet over a month, you still won't have enough. And Tahoe Donner and Donner Ski Ranch don't even make snow so those two resorts are completely fucked.

On the bright side, it'll be a good summer to hike the High Sierras portion of the Pacific Crest Trail.

As of 17 minutes ago, I have officially abstained from weed for 7 days. A new record since about 8 months ago, and I plan to destroy this habit for once and all! Perhaps now is the time. Two mates were here just now and they smoked some, offered me but I said no. Fuck yeah. *puts sunglasses on*

Mechanics and gravity/forces.

I went to the city yesterday. Had an awesome time. My hair was styled into two buns (like chun li but without the fabric covers). I got a compliment from a Burberry employee that liked my hair. (: It's so nice in the Burberry store. Didn't have the gloves I wanted, but at least I know my glove size for future references! Had a lovely veggie burger for lunch and an iced chocolate.
