Something like, "better do a reality check"? I totally get what you're saying but I'm having difficulties trying to come up with ideas. |

So I was just thinking about this today and I thought I would put it here as it is kinda off the track of lucid dreaming. So I don't know how to explain it but ya know how when someone may say something like "I am Dave!yognaught" and you may not know what they are talking about but it turns out they are referencing a celebrity you tuber? Here's a more popular example: run forest run! I don't know exactly what the best word would be other than memes. My point is that wouldn't it make it a lot easier (and less awkward) to find other oneironauts if we could come up with some memorable thing for people to say/do/wear so that other oneironauts would look at that and say "oh hey he must be into lucid dreaming" I dunno I thought that it would be pretty cool if we had some kind of tshirt or necklace or whatever to indicate that we are oneironaughts so that if you were say waiting in line then the person next to you may say "oh hey I also am a lucid dreamer" and it would expand the lucid dreaming community as a whole too. Any ideas ? |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Things are not as they seem
Yea thats what I'm talking about but that's the thing one can only come up with so many slogans for lucid dreaming. and my creativity isn't that great with slogans especially |
I think I've heard about people getting this idea with tattoos before, but I don't plan on getting any tattoos myself. I do like this idea though, like it would be nice to be walking down the street and seeing this sign and then being like "oh, another lucid dreamer! I wonder if he/she goes to DreamViews...". |
I'm a huge fan of making macrame bracelets... so if someone comes up with some sort of logo/slogan or something I'd totally make a bracelet out of that (since tattoo is out of the question atm) xD |
Lolwut.
Or maybe like an app on your phone that will alert you when another lucid dreamer is in like a < 5 mile radius or something. But it would be kind of cool if it was more like something were people wonder what it is but only us lucid dreamers know about lol, like the bracelet idea. |
Yea totally but what could we have on the bracelet/tshirt that could fit that description |
There should be a DV t-shirt available for all members. Maybe five dollers? |
Like I'd acknowledge any of you in public. |
I think it would be fun to have some kind of secret symbol. Not something obvious, but something that relates to lucid dreaming but which a non-lucid-dreamer would not be able to guess. If such an idea doesn't already exist, perhaps we could come up with something. |
if anybody has seen atras's signature picture i think that would be a good idea. however the picture symbolizes shared dreaming not so much of lucid dreaming as a whole. if you go to the international oneironaughts shared dreaming project forum you can find that picture there in her signature tell me what ya think |
That phone app is actually a good idea. One the other hand your phone would have to be constantly sending out a signal. Which would drain battery life. Maybe in a few years when we have better batteries though. |
I liked the "Staying up all night" slogan that DV used to have. I might make a bracelet with that on it one day just for the heck of it. |

Do that, take a photo of it, and send it to me. |

Oh a t-shirt or bracelet saying "Staying Up All Night" would be kick ass! But I'd imagine a night owl who probably doesn't know anything about lucid dreaming would want one too lol. |
I agree! We could wear it on t-shirts or bracelets, or get a tattoo of it... and it should be something simple so we could draw it on our hands instead if we wanted. Then we could have some kind of unique little gesture to confirm it once you catch the lucid dreamer's attention. |

If you're feeling hungry, take a look at my friend's awesome food blog:
Chai-spiced almond cookies
Sizzling beef with cilantro and hoisin sauce
How about "Time for a reality check"? |
I have the symbol of the Deathly Hallows stuck in my head. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
I agree some sort of symbol would be awesome. The DV logo imo doesn't really convey any sort of dream aspect though. Even though the symbol shouldn't be recognizable, it'd be cool if it had sort of a mysterious aspect to it. |
