Had my ThunderCats painting displayed at Acme Comics' art show last night. Gonna stay up in their store throughout the month, with the rest of the artists'.
A lot of cool stuff in this store. I used to love these guys!
SO much of my childhood resides behind this case.
I was kinda partial to these.
These were some great, huge paintings on canvas of the traditional JL.
My buddy Chris's artwork, dominating one wall. (All except for the last two small ones on the right, which weren't his.)
A friend of a friend's 'Attack of the 50 foot Count Duckula' poster, and an equally awesome Batman statue in the background.
I was doing a live drawing during the event, and started on this picture of The Flash. I didn't have any shading pencils with me, though, so I had to stick with the line art.

Last week we had some incredible sunrises and sunsets because of all the fires in the area. Sadly, I think this one was from the fire that killed the 19 firefighters.
Last night: The sky was a lot clearer. You can see Venus above the cloud.

I'm breaking caviat by posting pictures I didn't take personally, but to be fair these trees (and many others) are authentically part of my everyday life for the time being.
Spoiler for disclaimed but still gnarly:
I'm not sure what street the third one is on, but the first two are just minutes from my house.
Power (for me) is expected to be restored by Sunday afternoon.

Some moccasins my grandfather made me a long time ago that I found while cleaning out my closet

This is my attempt at growing Agaricus bisporus “Button Mushroom." I’m hoping this is the mycelium of my oh-so-desired mushroom and not an imposing fungi! I wiped the containers down with hydrogen peroxide and used boiling water to sterilize the compost and peat moss. Time will tell.
