You should try it. I'll bet you can find a place that rents kayaks, and you and a friend could go out and see if it's worth investing in one of your own. I own several now...all bought second hand for a decent price--that way I can invite friends that don't have their own kayaks. Works out great.

Lake Powell is in both Arizona and Utah. This trip was all on the Utah side. But yeah, Northern Arizona and Southern Utah is so beautiful with so many places to explore. I could probably spend my lifetime exploring this area and never get tired of it.

I had to hang out of the windows for the second and third shots. Not to mention holding some suspended stuff out of the way. >_<

Ahhh, it's a Sabian 16" AA "Rocktagon". (Yeah, they really named it that.)

It's a drafting printer. We print really large blueprints to help build wire harnesses.

I used to work with a printer like that. We had to often print work files for the city for wastewater jobs. (environmental engineering firm)

It was also good for printing posters.

I was at work....

This guy, a real nce guy--a mechanic--who comes in...he's deaf and mostly communicates with us through gestures or handwriting...

It was cool because right after I noticed this huge moth outside (it flew past just inches from my face), the guy came out and noticed it too. My face may have projected fear at first, so as he advanced toward it I instinctually guarded it. He shook his hands "No", and proceeded to mimic catching the winged beauty. Around that time he noticed my sweatshirt...and he was so happy he pointed to it and gave me a fistbump (awesome!).

Originally when the moth landed near me, I saw it had a pink-coloured inner wing showing. But when the guy held out his hand to it...the moth hesitated a moment; checking him out...then it just folded that part of it's wings down (becoming all shades of white/beige/black) and then and just let the guy pick it right up.

It took some antennae-prodding to get the thing back on the ground. But as soon it did, the moth set it's wings straight up and started vibrating them aggressively, like "enough is enough!"

It was wild.
