I think in the last comp someone else also chewed on a table corner or something and it was declared you have to take an actual bite for it to count(especially when talking about things like table corners and walls ) Would probably be a different thing if the wall was made of lets say candy or pineapples for example, then a simple lick would do!

Dolphin's technique from like 8 years ago; Ask a DC to look behind you and ask for confirmation of the forest being there. They will almost certainly say it is, and when you get the confirmation it almost certainly will be. I've used this technique forever once testing it out and having always worked for me regardless of what I'm trying to summon. As far as I can recall at least

I woke up and got the feeling I might be dreaming, so I tried to sink through my bed as a reality check, which worked. I landed on the bottom floor of my home and went outside and flew and tried to transform into a dolphin but couldn't.

Spoiler for DILD:

I got lucid because I saw lines on a large salmon fillet move like waves. I walked out from the flat, wanting to go out but I got stuck in corridors that seemed to lead nowhere or suddenly end. Finally, I found a lift and while I considered using it in a dream slightly risky, I tried to have a really optimistic mindset and expect the lift to open directly out to the street. It took me one floor lower and opened directly to the street, as I hoped.
I wanted to talk to my dream guide. The way the lore works, I can't just summon her and expect her to come, that would mean denying her free will. It's up to her if she wants to come and she likes to play games with me (they typically lead to me getting better at dream control, so I guess there some point to it… or not, who knows). Let's say that our relationship is complicated. She's also a shapeshifter, although she seems to prefer looking like a middle-aged woman.
I sent a mental message for her to come if she was willing to. Then I started looking for her. The way it works, when she decides to come, I have to use scan to recognize her. There was a large town square with quite a of people, so a lot of possible targets. I scanned them one by one but pretty quickly and none of the people there was her. I looked for a little bit longer but without success. No talking to her this time.
I woke up afterwards.
