Anyways, I've read a little about wilding but i still don't really understand how it works. Although possible, it is very unlikely and very hard to dream right when you go to sleep. On the other hand, it is very easy (well at least for me) to wild when taking a nap. I just don't understand how this works. I can take a nap 1 hour after waking, 4 hours, 8 hours, etc. and still be successful at basically wilding. But then i decide to go to sleep, and for the life of me i cannot seem to be able to wild. I can stay there for hours and nothing. Is there a reasonable explanation for this or is it all in my mind?

why is it easy to wild during a nap, but so hard before going to sleep?
You do know you are meant to WILD during wbtb, after around three or four hours of sleep. The reason we can enter a dream fast during a nap is because our body does not need to go through much Nrem sleep since it is not seeking to rest the body, just rest the mind. While during normal sleep the first few hours our body spends mostly in Nrem since it knows we are entering a long sleeping phase.
