      Smile 100+ ways to beat stress

      Stress is one of the main factors that affect lucidity, no doubt. Nowadays I´m stressed out so I would appreciate if you share some activities that help you to beat stress. My favourites are:

      1. Be productive during the day (learn something, accomlish my goal, do things devoutly)
      2. Hot shower
      3. A massage
      4. Go to the countryside (forest, mushrooms, rabbits etc...)
      5. Sex
      6. Delicious food (cooking and eating)
      7. Jogging
      8. A bit of alcohol
      9. Play with my pet
      10. Play an instrument

      Good thread idea! I'll chip in:

      11. Drink some tea, absolutely. Go for a lighter variety, so you don't get a stress-inducing caffeine buzz.
      12. Take a nap for an hour or two (also helps with WILDing!)

      20. Meditate (Probably the best way to beat stress, being able to direct your thoughts is unbeatable)
      21. Read Bible (Works for me )
      22. Keep off electronics for a while (hour, day, weekend)

      24. Marijuana (only if it's legal where you live, of course...)
      25. Speak to my girlfriend (or any other friend) about what I'm stressed about, the reassurance usually helps.

      36. Realize what is causing you stress. Then rationalize. Can you get rid of the stress? If yes, find out how and make a plan to do it. If not, realize that and make peace with it.

      37. Lock myself in my room before sleeping time and imagine that my room is spaceship traveling through dark space after Earth was destroyed. REALLY BELIVE IT!

      38. Memorize lyrics of uplifting songs and sing them, putting your soul into it (my favorite for this is Cat Stephens "Morning Has Broken")
      39. Walk outside with glasses off (if you wear glasses, no matter how bad your eyesight - walk carefully, pay attention, enjoy)
      40. Chocolate, ice cream
      41. Hugs
      42. Doing lots of chores that are simple, keep one occupied, and result in a sense of ackomplishment
      43. Becoming aware of thoughts on a meta level and changing them for the better, so for example: I catch myself thinking that I am too tired to exercise, and I change it to "I am too tired not to exercise;" or I change the frustration with not having had a lucid dream in forever into appreciating the lucid dream preparation practice for its own sake and noticing the positive side effects on my lifestyle; or I stop and think and realize that I am angry with someone because what they did "wrong" reminds me too much of my own mistakes, and so I apologize to other person and start treating them with greater understanding for their position, with more patience and calm

      -Put on your favorite music and dance, get out of your mind and into your body, get really into the dancing. Let the music carry your body moves, Dance sessions always make me feel better about most anything.
      -Don't attach yourself to depression or stress, see it as a challenge that was put there for you to get stronger, this mindset is another tool that motivates me to no end, look forward to the pain.
