Just check this |

Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way
Can't do it laying down...seriously? |

Yup, he doesn't say much more but i think it is just because it requires more willpower and so intention gets stronger. But supine meditation is also meditation, so i would do it. You can try to ask him on YT. |

So, WBTB + autosuggestion. I'D RATHER USE MILD. |

I fill my heart with fire, with passion, passion for what makes me nostalgic. A unique perspective fuels my fire, makes me discover new passions, more nostalgia. I love it.

I think this technique emphasizes the importance of micro WBTBs. But having to wake up and sit on bed for 15 minutes every sleep cycle, it´s discouraging. |

I find a long WBTB much better than a few minutes. Why not do an hour WBTB if you can? It gives more awareness. |

After 5 months of LD practice, I find I really dislike being awake at night. I'd rather be dreaming. So I do my awareness work during the day. And as VagalTone says, just record dreams and head right back to sleep at night, unless I'm trying a classical WILD, which I do only once in a while (since....I dislike losing sleep!). Just journaling for a few minutes gets me very awake, especially at about the 5-6 hour mark, so getting up for more doesn't seem to help. Everyone's different, an hour does not necessarily mean more awareness than 5 minutes, not for everybody at least. That's the point of the micro-WBTB: stay up only enough so that you still can fall back to sleep, and raise awareness at the same time. |

oh ok. I need a long WBTB so I would become aware. An hour, then MILD. It seems to work for me. I am almost gonna hit the 5 month mark! Now I am full power practicing. I took this month off to study LDing so I can continue with confidence, and now I am confident. |

Know you *will*, and that it won't take years. Set incremental, reachable, but aggressive goals each month, and constantly re-evaluate and re-set new goals. LaBerge writes that goal setting is proven incredibly powerful for mental performance. Heck, just look at the DV competitions (next one coming up!), tons of people (including me) get huge spikes to lucid frequency during those. Try to capture that "competition" feeling on an ongoing basis! Keep burning those LD-inducing neural pathways, and they will come more frequently, longer, more stable, etc. KNOW it. |
