You should have the right kind of motivation.
You might strive only for "lucid dreams", but you should specify what it is that you want to experience in the lucid dreams instead.
For example, is there something you dearly want to improve in your waking life, like becoming more social or getting rid of phobias?
If it is important enough for you then you can actually practice those things in dreams, so this could be a strong motivation to become lucid.
If you go to bed with this intention - to use lucid dreams to practice whatever you want to improve in waking life - then you will be much more determined to become lucid.
Also, it seems like you think of lucid dreams as something "very hard".
You should stop thinking that way, lucid dreams are just dreams with some extra awareness thrown in.
You just need to practice your awareness and your ability to question your current surroundings, and it will eventually start to affect your dreams the same way.
