Thread: Shared Lucid Dreaming Tutorial

Nomad you ever see the movie 'ink?' I think you'd really enjoy it. Or enyone else for that matter. If you like indie films it is well made.

Ink is amazing! I watched it and had no idea what I was in for. Such an incredible movie!! I recomend to anyone

Yeah, it's lots of fun but has enough substance to keep your mind engaged whilst watching.

Oh! There was an episode of Blue's Clues about lucid dreaming!
When I was little, I had a lot of freaky nightmares, and had trouble sleeping. I remember watching an episode of BC where Magenta was having nightmares, so Blue and his human friend used "skidoo" to go inside Magenta's dream, and taught her how to change a nightmare into a happy dream.
I've been practicing dream control ever since then, and rarely have any nightmares.

Edit: I looked up the episode, and apparently it was Sleeping Beauty having the nightmare. I guess my memory was warped over time, but I still got the basic idea of it.

also if you wanted to read my dream journal I only write down the ones I feel like I wanted to post. Ill post more if you wan't to read them.

Wow, this is really good, it amazes me you have gotten almost 20,000 reads off of this,,,that is mind boggling.

I had an interesting dream two nights ago:

I am in (the outskirts of?) a village. The ground is sandy. There is a ruined stone building on my right side. WakingNomad is standing in front of me. He says he'll go sleeping so he can share dreams with me. He goes lying on the ground. Soon I get this feeling. It's pretty hard to describe, but it was like a feeling of connection, another entity. I sweeps over me. I become lucid (basically I was dreaming of being lucid i guess, but anyway I had the full control of lucid dreams). We fight but soon I find someone else with whom to fight, though I forget about him, too soon and go flying. Then I let myself drop from about a kilometre. Then I take a stone pillar and smack some people with it. The dream was about 17 minutes long.

Cool. I do not remember such a dream. But, I am always on the edge of a physical place, like the outskirts of a village, where a jungle meets a desert, or a forest meets a plain when a dream is significant.

I think I shared a dream w/ my mom once and made her lucid. Read my DJ and I think you'll agree. Gawsh, I wanna share a dream with one of yalls one day cuz thatd be awesome you know? Man, I'd love to share dreams!!!!

I´d love to try this, but first I need someone to try it with.

So I'm a little skeptical about this, but I like to think
of myself as an open-minded person. If it is possible
it sounds like it would be epic. So I would like to give
it a shot. I'm really close to my first successful WILD.
So if any of you would be willing to help me out and
teach me how this is done I would appreciate it.

If it doesn't work the first time, please keep trying. Also remember that you do not have to be lucid to have a shared dream, but it helps. You also don't need to be asleep at the same time.

Well, I don't know how, but from experience, I know it works.

My theory is that the dream plane is another plane of existence, not bound to linear time the way it works in the physical plane. It's probably a different timeline, not really paralleling ours.

So like, he could have a dream with me, and I wouldn't know about it for 5 hours until I went to sleep?

Wouldn't that be paradoxical? He has a shared dream with me, he tells me about it and I
intentionally change the dream. Wouldn't that mess things up a bit?

He would just be telling you what he perceived. If you saw something else happened that's just what you saw, the mind can really mess things up. It could be that you didn't have a shared dream at all.
