Hotel Scam?

I'm at a hotel, walking through the lobby with some guy. He's trying to convince me that we can stay a night for free if I follow his lead. So I walk up to one of the receptionists who have desks like bank tellers and the guy comes behind me and starts taking like, "yes, this is the amount we agreed on..." and puts a piece of paper in front of me to sign. Meanwhile, the receptionist is on the phone looking at us like we're crazy. I look down and see that the amount on the paper is $212 and I say that I don't have enough money to cover that much for two days!


Electronics on the Beach

Now I'm on the beach walking along just kicking the water as it comes up on the beach. It's kind of gravely, not the nicest sand in the world. I look down and kick over some gravely sand and find a coke bottle. I pick it up and throw it away from the beach. I walk some more and find a calculator. I start digging in the sand and find tons of calculators. I pulled them out of the sand and started making a pile of them. The water keeps coming up and washing over my hole that I've dug revealing more stuff. Now I get to a box. It's a coffee maker! I set that aside. I get to another box. It's a set of pots and pans! The funny thing is, I open the boxes and they're perfectly fine, there's no trace of sand or water in them. I think to myself... maybe I can put this stuff on ebay or craigslist...
