    1. The man who was not on the porch

      by , 02-25-2017 at 08:25 AM
Morning of February 25, 2017. Saturday.

I become more aware while in the middle of a conversation, mostly with people we do not know. Zsuzsanna is with me to my left. We are sitting at a large table. We seem to be in a new unique distortion of the Loomis Street house. If so, we are facing westerly, toward the kitchen. I become slightly puzzled about who these people are. They are mostly a mix of Maori and Caucasian. Without displaying any anger, I tell them it is time to leave. This has something to do with realizing that pages from my dream journals (even from my large notebooks from childhood that served as extensive dream journals) are strewn in loose piles everywhere on tables and desks. I consider that someone reading just one or a few pages of my journals will likely misunderstand everything. Still, I do not see them as thoughtless imposers or intruders.

As most of them get up to leave, I notice a former coworker from Eco 3 (from 1980), Richard B, sitting on a couch, facing south. (The couch is more toward the kitchen and aligned to the north wall where there was never one in reality.) I tell him that he can stay and the others hear me say this. I then see a different version of him sitting farther west but on the back of the couch rather than the seat. This puzzles me somewhat, yet I also recognize him as at least having the first name of Richard though soon perceive him as a different person. The first Richard has no facial hair. The second Richard does.

After we go out onto the porch, there seems to be a large pile of miscellaneous items between the living room entrance and the porch when I look back. (This is not logical as it would have made it impossible to go onto the porch.) I notice several cats climbing up over the items but they do not come onto the porch. The five or six visitors are leaving through a door that is near the northeast corner of the porch, east side (front of the porch), though the real door was near the center of the east side of the porch. (This is a new distortion despite dreams of the Loomis Street house still being common.)

After they are outside, I hear another male’s voice off to my right. Looking on that side of the porch, I notice a thin male of perhaps in his late forties who suddenly starts talking. He is only about the size of a twelve-year-old. He has a large beard and is lying on the wooden porch floor on his back, his head pointed south, apparently having been asleep, under what appear to be two upside-down large metal baskets that are arranged end to end. This is a very unusual and unlikely scene. Looking more closely, I see that he is holding a thin stick with a sharp point, which he grasps lengthways over his chest (parallel to his body). I perceive him as likely being a homeless drunk and I want to get him off the porch but I am wary of the sharp stick. I start to talk to him in a calm voice, telling him it is time to go.

As I watch him, and speak to him, he vanishes before my eyes (yet I do not consider this unusual as I reason that I may not have perceived the scene correctly at first).

“I am not even there, mate,” says a very loud clear Australian male voice. I start to consider that there is some sort of small amplified speaker near the front of the porch (which I visualize as being in the shape of a wind-up alarm clock - an obvious dream state indicator and additionally waking prompt autosymbolism). I ask him where he is and what he wants and he says, “I’m looking for a preview”. (A number of other comments prior to this are exchanged, but I do not fully recall them.) I wake up with a headache (seemingly caused by his loud voice) but which is mild after I get up and walk around.

Understanding this dream’s dynamics and meaning: Since early childhood, a front porch has been one of the most common final settings in the last dream of a sleep cycle. This is because a porch represents liminal space both in dreams and in real life, which is also evidence of liminal dream state awareness and liminal dream control by way of the virtuous circle effect in having a genuine understanding of dreams, so much so, it serves as a carryover in some dream types. A porch is the liminal space between one’s home and the world outside (analogous to the state of unconsciousness between dreaming and waking). Because of this knowledge, I have deliberately often utilized porches in my dreams to vivify and sustain my dream by going “outside” from the porch. This is also why RAS personification is more likely to be dominant when such autosymbolism is liminally utilized, as it is the function of RAS (reticular activating system) to mediate and modulate the dream based on ultradian rhythms and other factors (such as the need to wake to attend to biological needs). If one genuinely looks at my dreaming history, they would see thousands of examples of this in the fifty years I have studied dreams and validated their meanings.

The upside-down metal baskets were a liminal attempt to “cage” the preconscious to sustain the dream state, in this case, a distorted association with the word “hold” (as meanings of words in dreams are often incorrect along with most other dream content), as both a basket and a cage can “hold” something. The preconscious was “sleeping” at this time but soon became active as the other dream characters were leaving (sustained doorway waking autosymbolism; very common). He did not use his weapon or become dominant because I soon focused on my emergent consciousness stage (resulting in his dissolving and the loud voice beyond the porch).

“I’m looking for a preview” is a curious phrase. While the preconscious often spouts gibberish, this is similar to another phrase spoken by the preconscious years ago; “It’s time for a new movie”. I have held different theories on this. “I’m looking for a preview” may relate to the preconscious seeking coalescence with the emergent consciousness (immediately prior to establishing conscious self identity as the “movie” itself).

    2. Rain Reinduction in an Unknown Business Building

      by , 02-25-2017 at 08:25 AM
Morning of February 25, 2017. Saturday.

Much of my dream’s foundation involves walking around with Zsuzsanna at night in an unknown city, though of which is possibly implied to be Brisbane.

Eventually, I find myself going into an unknown large office which has a number of cubicles. It seems to be on the second floor. Several unfamiliar people are present. There is a computer workstation on most desks. I feel as if I should do something (though there is no backstory regarding this situation) and I decide to make it rain indoors simply by willing it. (This is liminal dream control, that is, control of the dream state without lucidity, the cause of which is based on the virtuous circle effect developed out of understanding dream state autosymbolism, which began in very early childhood.) I vividly create clouds that come in and hover near the ceiling, raining down on the office. It vivifies my dream and makes me feel more aware as well as very cheerful. It also augments my sense of touch and the very pleasant tangibility of the water itself. (This is based on the knowledge of water reinduction, as the essence of water is autosymbolism for sleep and the absence of waking life emotion.)

At the time of this writing, I am nowhere near having substantial content from my lifelong dream journal online. There are only 462 entries on my main sites that describe dreams based on water induction autosymbolism. Water reinduction is an additional factor that developed out of liminal dream control and of which reflects the liminal desire to remain sleeping. In this case, it is based on the liminal awareness of being in a thread of emergent consciousness correlation, that is, the presence of computer workstations, which represent RAS mediation for thinking skills activation (due to the subconscious self not possessing thinking skills, so this is used by RAS as a precursor to activate consciousness). My choice to make it rain, in addition to being liminal dream control, reflects my desire to remain asleep in bed (which is a carryover association developed out of remaining in bed for a time when it is raining in real life).

The vivid scene of walking in a city at night, often with awareness of someone being with me to my left (dream awareness orientation, as I sleep on my left side, though Zsuzsanna also sleeps to my left), has occurred during virtually every normal sleep cycle for over fifty years. Although this is usually based on vestibular system correlation as a precursor to a waking start as a hypnopompic kick, it occurs more vividly when I had done more walking that day in real life. (This proves that dream state dynamics are often based on residual physicality and biology. This is important to recognize and understand in a world where most of humanity has zero understanding of dreams. It is a significant advantage to have this clarity of mind.) In this case however, it serves as a form of dream state induction that is not interrupted as such.

Despite this dream being based on liminal dream control, the “raining indoors” thread was a major factor in our lives on November 2017, when it rained heavily indoors after a completely unexpected storm tore our roof off.

    3. An Unlikely New Episode of “Lost”

      by , 02-25-2017 at 08:25 AM
Morning of February 25, 2017. Saturday.

Although there was more to this dream, there are only three significant (and more discernible or less surreal) stages.

In the first main scene, John Locke and Jack Shephard of the “Lost” television series are in the jungle. They are being pursued (over time) by a large creature they originally were trying to discover more about. I am not sure if I am meant to be “in” the episode though I am not directly part of this particular scene.

John and Jack quickly make their way to an unusual building that seems cylindrical. (I watch the scene while facing the building from at least ten feet away.) The entrance is a set of double doors that are each semicircular on each hinged side. The creature’s head and long neck comes in snakelike through the doors before they are fully closed. The monster manages to swallow John Locke whole as Jack looks on from a short distance.

I am then at a meeting. The writers of the episode are present. It seems that the episode is still being filmed (which I assume as I am then in the supposed episode after this scene).

I am then sitting in the back seat of a car with Kate Austen in a parking lot late at night. She is on my right. However, I am confused by the nature of this scene as I first assume that we had been swallowed by the creature that swallowed John Locke and that I am supposed to be seeing the inside of the creature (perhaps its throat) instead of what I see to be the inside of a car. I especially focus very vividly on the small triangular window over Kate’s shoulder and I even ask her if we are supposed to have been swallowed and are now in the monster in this scene (though no director yells “cut” though maybe this is a practice scene). I am trying to work out if this (the small triangular car window) is meant to be one of the monster’s gills or if we are really in a car. If so, the “effects” leave much to be desired.

Over time, “Kate” is more like a younger version of Zsuzsanna. I am still confused as, even though Kate and I were supposed to have been swallowed in this “Lost” episode scene, it seems more like I am just sitting in a car in the large parking lot of a mall with no film crew around.

      • Kate becoming (or already subliminally implied to be) Zsuzsanna is an example of the otherwise less active preconscious (in the second-to-last dream of a sleep cycle) “correcting” itself.
      • A parking lot is autosymbolism for a specific level of awareness in liminal space and the subliminal realization of the body being inactive while asleep.
      • The snakelike creature swallowing John Locke is a typical coalescence factor and although it causes my dream to shift into a different scene and somewhat clearer level of awareness, it is not an immediate waking precursor. However, as the scene after this involves a meeting with the show’s writers, it still potentially implies a very partial awakening, validated by the last scene being utter confusion in liminal space (the nighttime parking lot scene which builds on emergent memory of being in bed with Zsuzsanna).

    4. Unusual Wall Induction

      by , 02-21-2017 at 08:21 AM
Morning of February 21, 2017. Tuesday.

Although many of my dreams begin with water induction (which includes water sometimes flowing from a wall or ceiling), I do not bother to include that detail unless atypical or unusual, or in this case, sustained, with no main dream body or waking prompt that I can recall and already in the dream state indicator phase (being in bed).

I am in a very relaxed state. Zsuzsanna is sleeping with me to my left. I focus on the wall to my right. It is of a light teal color. I notice that there are “fringes” at three different heights on the wall. I reason that these “fringes” (similar to an association with a hippie fringe jacket) might indicate that the paint is peeling off in an unusual uniform manner. (Still, the bedroom we are in has only a bed.

I eventually confirm that water is slowly flowing out from each height of the fringe feature (each of which is horizontal along the entire length of the wall), but not enough to cause actual flooding, only minimal depth on the floor of only about an inch. I try to focus and consider if this is presently because of rain or perhaps some of the pipes leaking. It does not bother me at all; I remain only slightly curious (probably because water induction and reinduction triggers some degree of liminal dream state awareness).

A wall is autosymbolism for the division of liminal space, that is, the barrier between the incomplete dream self (the very limited subconscious self, typically rendered in a fictitious scenario and without viable memory from either the unconscious or conscious self) and the conscious self identity. This is a correlation with RAS mediation that otherwise renders a door or doorway as an exit point out of the dream state. I liminally am in control in this case, and I am using water to reinduce and sustain my dream (validated by the waking autosymbolism being to my right). Interestingly though, this dream became literally prescient, when an unexpected storm tore our roof of in November of 2017 and paint actually did peel in an unusual way as here, proof that liminal dream control can correlate with literally prescient threads, which is very unusual to say the least. (In other cases, I mentally paint a wall to initiate dream state reinduction to “freshen” and sustain the dream state. Additionally, although the room was mostly featureless otherwise, it had an atypical feeling of being in our real home. At any rate, this dream is a composite of water reinduction and wall reinduction.)

I had thought (for no particular reason) about an unusual model kit I built as a child just prior to this. It was a show car with fringes around the bottom and bullhorns on the front; the AMT “Hero” Lincoln Continental kit. (I had many model kits when growing up.)

    5. Shower Imposers

      by , 02-17-2017 at 08:17 AM
Morning of February 17, 2017. Friday.

During water induction (my most consistent form of autosymbolism for dream state entry, as water is autosymbolism for sleep and the dynamics of the dream state), I find myself in the shower on the second floor of the King Street boarding house. I get the impression that I am still living in the L-shaped room at the end of the hall (though I have not lived there since the 1980s). A young version of Zsuzsanna (who has never been to America let alone King Street) is in my apartment at the end of the hall. The opaque sliding door of the shower is halfway open. Zsuzsanna walks around in my apartment. Curiously, both the south bathroom wall is missing as well as my apartment’s north wall, so the shower can be viewed directly from that apartment. (Missing walls as well as the ability to see through otherwise solid walls is a fairly common feature in my dreams and has been since early childhood. This is associated with the “mystery girl” of my dreams having lived in a house with missing exterior walls. This turned out to be true regardless of its high unlikelihood; that is, Zsuzsanna lived at one time as a child in an incomplete house with missing exterior walls in an area of New South Wales called Heaven.)

I realize that I still have clothes on. This is very annoying and I take them off, but they are somehow on again later. I also notice a pair of tennis shoes near the end of the bathtub. These apparently belong to a very old man who comes in to get them and he soon leaves without speaking. While still showering, I begin to get more annoyed at having to remove my clothes more than once (but that does not trigger the realization I am dreaming).

Somehow, several unfamiliar people end up in the shower with me (though of course there would not be enough room in reality), and I can barely move. This soon changes though, as part of the typical illogical sequencing of the dream state. I eventually notice that part of the east wall (directly beyond the end of the bathtub) is also not present. An older version of Zsuzsanna is making sounds of arousal but I can only see her from just above her knees and downward.

The north wall (adjacent to the bathtub) also seems to not be present. There seems to be a mostly featureless room, but which may also be part of the same bathroom as there is a drain in the floor.

Becoming annoyed in a dream at the realization that I am wearing clothes has occurred since childhood (not just with shower dreams or those where I am in bed, though my non-lucid dream self most often does not focus on whether I am dressed or not anyway). There are a number of reasons for this. One, the association with being embarrassed with the idea of “sleeping in my clothes”, which is proof of liminal dream state awareness (as why would my dream self associate with the idea I am sleeping unless I was somehow liminally aware I was in the dream state, even though with liminal dream control I do not even remember what a dream is). Two, this sometimes throws off my association with phasing through walls or flying up and out of a dream (only being aware that it is a dream in the last moments - though as if I subliminally knew the entire time). The idea I am wearing clothes occasionally interferes with my association with being incorporeal, or in some cases, even with a greater corporeal full-body flying ability. There are other reasons depending on the dream type. In the majority of my more vivid flying dreams (not always lucid) I am only in a bed sheet or cloak. Ultimately, it is natural to have dreams of not wearing clothes, as I do not sleep in my clothes. Wearing clothes in a dream is an unusual distortion caused by the lack of awareness of the self in unconsciousness and its actual physical status (unless one is dressed while sleeping, though the weight of a bed sheet probably causes this distortion in most cases).

Regarding my dream’s cause and meaning, this is simply a typical form of RAS mediation and modulation as the waking alert factor, often activated by way of the preconscious and its personification and the sense of intrusion. As my dream self in non-lucidity is a fictitious entity, any perceived link to my conscious self identity in waking life in some levels of unconsciousness can potentially be viewed as an “intruder” (just as someone half-asleep might perceive an environmental sound, even a noise made by a family member, as liminal evidence of an “intruder”). This is one of those common factors of dreams of which many people cannot grasp at all.

    6. Lollipops

      by , 02-14-2017 at 08:14 AM
Morning of February 14, 2017. Tuesday.

I had been sleeping in the semidarkness of the Cubitis living room on a couch that is aligned to the west wall with my head north. (This is the first time this setup has occurred in a dream. I have not been in Cubitis for about forty years. A couch had never been in this location in reality.)

As I am lying on my left side, facing outwards from the back of the couch, I feel something moving near my hip. Later, I feel it again and I am thinking that there is a mouse crawling on my right side.

I reach around and grab what I think is a mouse and fling it into the center of the living room. When I look up, I see at least six or seven disk-shaped lollipops of a few different colors strewn across the floor. This is what I had thrown. They are individually wrapped in transparent plastic. I notice a yellow one, a red one, and a green one as I decide to pick them all up.

My brother Dennis is standing near the hallway entrance. He had apparently given them to me but I absentmindedly grabbed them and threw them. I do not want him to think I am unappreciative, which is why I make sure I pick all of them up from the floor. No one speaks.

My dream is rendered as already being in the emergent consciousness stage but in a random dream sign setting. Dennis is the emergent consciousness factor (having soon transmuted from the inducer). I have not seen him in real life since February 1994. His nickname is Muskrat. Although he could be very annoying and mean-spirited, he was charitable at times, which this dream seems to reflect. The association with Valentine’s Day also seems inherent (though my father died in real life on Valentine’s Day in 1979).

    7. A Lot of Balls in the Front Yard

      by , 02-14-2017 at 08:14 AM
Morning of February 14, 2017. Tuesday.

      Dream #: 18,320-02. Reading time: 50 sec.

In the late morning, Zsuzsanna and I are looking over our front yard. It is in Cubitis rather than our present address. (Zsuzsanna has never been to America or Cubitis where I had not lived since age seventeen.)

The lawn needs mowing, but I am first cleaning up debris. I eventually notice what I first think is a transparent rubber ball (of the kind sold in small vending machines, sometimes with sparkles or a small plastic figure inside). It feels like one when I pick it up. I think it is a rubber ball our children left on the lawn. It is sparsely speckled on its surface. Eventually, there are several of them that have at least two large triangular dents on opposite sides as if partly squashed. I decide they are possibly something else, perhaps a natural anomaly.

I tell Zsuzsanna and our two youngest sons they are probably eggs (though possibly oversized frog eggs). Perhaps the “rubber balls” with the dents are ones that had hatched. I start to gather them up.

The life cycle of a frog is analogous to the initiation and waking transition of the dream state. It is an autosymbolic analogy to the tadpole (non-lucid dream self beginning a dream) to frog (emerging consciousness).

    8. My Triffid Son

      by , 02-14-2017 at 08:14 AM
Morning of February 14, 2017. Tuesday.

I somehow have a watermelon seed embedded near my left ear. Part of it is still visible. I do not think it will cause too much trouble, though it does get bigger and green leaves eventually appear on the left side of my face.

However, it is not a watermelon plant, but a Triffid. He is my son. He has eaten a number of people by my dream’s last segment, but I believe he will mostly be okay in human society with his Triffid ways.

Other dreams of this date previously posted: “A Lot of Balls in the Front Yard” and “Lollipops”. My (non-lucid) dream self rarely has any clue to what year it is let alone the date, but there are sometimes residual memories of holidays. There seems to be evidence here with all three dreams thus far posted (of February 14, 2017) of associations with either Easter or Valentine’s Day. “A Lot of Balls in the Front Yard” seems more associated with Easter, as there are a lot of what may be transparent eggs (or rubber balls?) in the front yard, though possibly frog’s eggs. Candy can be associated with Easter but also Valentine’s Day as well as flowers or lilies for either holiday, though Triffids are like lilies, so more of an Easter association, I think. It is as if my dream self subliminally “knows” there is a holiday, but not which one.

There is an amusing detail about my “Lollipops” dream though, regarding people who think they can understand other people’s dreams without even knowing or understanding what a dream actually is. In this case, a person tried to “interpret” an actual dynamic of my environment that I had not indicated was as such - meaning, there was a real mouse in our bed, which is partly what triggered that dream, which of course they could not have known.

The inherent truth behind this dream is that, before I came to Australia and married my lovely dream girl Zsuzsanna, her mother (who is “disturbed” to put it nicely) sent me a peace lily. This distorted with the “day of love” (Valentine’s Day) relating to my happiness with Zsuzsanna (and our first son) but also with the science-fiction eeriness of “Day of the Triffids” and the lily association with Easter. You see, only I could know this, and only I can “interpret” my dreams (though the core meanings and distortions behind dreams is more of the dynamics of the dream state, not waking life, other than with literal prescience). The watermelon seed association is also personally relevant to my more distant past, though I will not get into it here.

    9. Vulture in the Bathroom

      by , 02-10-2017 at 08:10 AM
Morning of February 10, 2017. Friday.

I am living in Cubitis with my wife Zsuzsanna and our children as we appear now. I am in the southwest bedroom, mostly looking at comic strips in newspapers. I eventually have to use the bathroom and absentmindedly get ready to go on the carpet near the door to the room. There are several books on the floor. Soon though, I decide that this is not a very good idea, so I walk to the opposite side of the hallway to use the bathroom.

The bathroom is different from how it was in real life, though my dream self does not consider it as such. The toilet is closest to the door where the sink was in reality and the sink is where the toilet had been. (As this dream includes doorway waking symbolism, my need to go renders the toilet as being closer to the door.)

A vulture, nearly as tall as me, is to my right and I am annoyed. I leave the bathroom without using it. I push its neck back with the palm of my left hand as it comes out into the hallway from the doorway but this is not enough to keep it back. I then use my right foot to additionally push its body back into the bathroom and close the door.

This dream’s meaning is to serve as a biological waking prompt to wake me in order to use the bathroom.

The floating sensation one experiences when entering sleep is often the main reason for the presence of a bird in a dream, which may or may not relate to waking life. This also includes the metaphorical association of “returning" to the physical body during the waking stage, including as a subliminal attempt to lessen the falling sensation.

Noticing books or other reading materials in a dream is a subliminal attempt to utilize critical thinking skills, which are not usually extant in the non-lucid dream state. This dream validates this with a type of parallel thinking where I first consider urinating on the floor near the books.

Doorway waking symbolism often includes the transforming emergent consciousness factor from the higher energy of the preconscious. In this case, it is the vulture. It is preventing me from using the illusory bathroom; to generate enough emotion to wake due to a real physical need.

The vulture’s beak as potentially jabbing me relates to a recurring hypnopompic physical prompt (as in “The Buzzard’s Beak” from October 4, 1969), experienced since childhood as a jab in my back though only in the final waking state. It does not occur in this dream.

    10. Helicopter Ride into the Beautiful Mountains

      by , 02-08-2017 at 08:08 AM
Morning of February 8, 2017. Wednesday.

I am at an unknown location in an unfamiliar business building. It may be in Montana when considering the overall landscape. There is work to be done; a new job for me. It is a company I am not familiar with but relates to digging for precious stones and certain valuable minerals. I am to be a part of a team of three (four counting the foreman) to do work in the mountains. I am not yet focused on the concept of how I will feel about being higher up.

I go out to the parking lot with my two coworkers and the foreman, who is also the helicopter pilot. It seems to be late morning. We will be riding in the helicopter to our workplace. Curiously, even though the helicopter is under a large tree, where the branches extend over the rotor blades, there is no problem in taking off. The helicopter is of an unusual layout inside. Each of us sits at a corner of the large and spacious interior, including the pilot.

I vividly feel the movement of the helicopter as it rises from the parking lot. We go very close to a building, close enough to touch it slightly, yet I sense no danger. I feel very cheerful and optimistic. (An aircraft “tapping” the side of a building at this stage and precise point in time in a dream has occurred before. Evidence shows it is a mechanism that increases conscious self awareness without activating a more dominant waking thread.)

We fly up through a few different vertical tunnels, which are somewhat like volcano vents (though not implied to be). I notice men on ropes and with pickaxes digging at the sides. I watch one group of men atop a mountain. They are dragging a large jagged jewel-like stone. As I look around, I notice other scenes like this. There are beautiful colors and a positive sense of activity and progress. Still, I consider that this job may not be suitable for me due to being wary about being so high up and close to cliffs and ravines. The overall beauty of this part of my dream is utterly amazing (the second recent dream where the beauty was breathtaking, the other being the beach dream).

Eventually, I am in a large room with a number of other (unknown) people. An unfamiliar young girl (though who may be a younger version of Zsuzsanna) has been working on carving a semitransparent statue from one of the gems that were found. It looks like a dolphin but seems to have human arms and legs. I find it curious that people are involved in this level of mining as well as making unique salable products in the mountaintop building.

The helicopter pilot is very jovial. In a smaller room we go into, I see a small rectangular lamp on the wall. The lamp was somehow made from a precious stone. It has an engraved human face in profile (looking to the right) on it. Bright light is emitting from the top. There are a number of other items on picnic tables. There is a mystical beauty to most of the items.

Even though this is a return flight scenario (over one in five dreams utilize this component and waking transition as a transmutation of the biological falling start), there is a sustained transition similar to my recent beautiful beach dream (though in that dream there was no return flight mechanism - the helicopter never arrived). The difference is that this dream ended on a very positive note and sustained focus on beauty and well-being. Even the personified preconscious did not act as a direct waking precursor (which is quite rare).

    11. A Beautiful Beach, Cool Water, and…Almost Kicking Someone

Morning of February 7, 2017. Tuesday.

I become intensely aware and feel cheerful, though I am not lucid, during what seems to be the last stages of someone leaving an area that he had been caught trespassing in late at night. I am not regarded by any of the characters in this situation even though I am fully physically present. The owner of the land remains at the rear of a guard’s large building, giving warnings to the other male who had trespassed. This other male however, is now with a guard at the front of the building. I watch him and the guard through the window from outside (on the left side of the building when looking at the front). Each time that the owner of the property shouts something at the trespassing male, the trespassing male then “interprets” and relays to the guard (on his left and not close enough to the window to hear the owner) what the other male had supposedly said.

The property owner loudly informs the other male that a helicopter will be coming with people to arrest him. He will also be fined a large sum of money; at least a thousand dollars. He gives a number of minor details. This results in the guard being told (by the trespassing male) that a helicopter will be coming to take the trespasser to his home and that someone will bring money to give him (rather than him being fined). Everything the property owner shouts is changed by the other male to become a beneficial event for him. The guard does not realize this at all and writes down the instructions on a notepad. Even though the situation is hilarious, I am only mildly amused.

I turn around to see an amazingly beautiful beach and nighttime scene. I walk towards it, thinking that I might take a helicopter from an island not that far from shore (which I may be able to walk to because of sandbars). I notice an orange beacon in the center of the island. There also appears to be a park shelter or some sort of small utility building on each corner of the island.

Still, once I am on the beach itself, my perception and clarity becomes extreme. The scene is so beautiful and blissful, I become distracted and forget that I had been thinking about getting on a helicopter or going to the small island.

I notice two sandbars just off the beach. I go to the closest one and roll around and slide with the incoming waves in the wonderful cool water and white sand. Two other people, an unknown male and female, are also enjoying themselves. I first think that they may be playing with some sort of sea creature such as a dolphin or octopus, but this is not the case. As I walk past them, I am somewhat annoyed. I would like to enjoy the beach more without strangers around.

I see a large park shelter. There are three pairs of picnic tables, each pair touching end to end and the ends perpendicular to the front opening of the shelter. Two couples sit at opposite sides of the building. I walk in from the right side, having enjoyed being barefoot in the cool water and sand, but I soon notice a lot of crumpled empty packages from vending machine products and other rubbish strewn on the floor. There is a puddle and it looks like someone had even peed near one wall.

I decide not to go fully into the park shelter and absentmindedly say aloud, “this is a real pee place”. The other male in the water looks up and asks me what I said. “It’s a pist-place!” I say.

“You can’t expect people not to take their stuff out to enjoy nature,” says the male (which also seems to mean that he thinks it is okay to throw trash everywhere as well as put various recreational junk on an otherwise isolated pristine beach). As he says this, I notice an equidistant series of small yellow cube-shaped plastic boxes across the front of the park shelter (which I am certain were not there moments earlier), each overflowing with various items. Some of the items are for sports and recreation on the beach.

“I prefer water, sand, and rocks to this junk,” I say. I start to become really annoyed and kick an oversized green Monopoly house (about the size of a football) from the top of the contents of one of the boxes as it flies at the other male, almost hitting his head. I kick a couple of the small storage boxes, also missing him. I then decide to kick him directly in the head with my right foot.

Just as I somehow lift my foot high enough to kick his head, I wake up with my right leg thrashing out like a real kick (while on my left side). (Thankfully, I did not kick anyone or anything in reality.)

      • A beach in a dream is liminal space autosymbolism, a typically heightened stage between sleeping and waking, similar to bridges, parking lots, and porches, all of which represent a liminal link between the dream self and conscious self identity during the dreaming and waking process. I usually become much more aware in liminal space (especially as it links directly to the waking transition and emergent consciousness factor). In this case, I was only one step down from ordinary lucidity and at the highest level of (non-lucid) liminal dream state awareness, with full-body awareness.
      • The first situation in my dream is some sort of comedic transmuted “return flight” precursor where another male takes on my dream self’s role. (I never actually see a helicopter and my dream is altered into a sustained increased awareness rather than ending here as it should which is likely why the waking prompt was more extreme than usual.) From here, I deliberately sustain my dream without lucidity and even the personified preconscious element shifts to another scene (not that common). Water and its dynamics symbolizes sleep in real time, which is how I am able to additionally sustain my dream by focusing on the beauty of the beach and ocean (known as reinduction). The fact it is nighttime is a circadian rhythms factor of the deeper unconscious (which delays the emergent consciousness factor).
      • A waking prompt is a biological necessity, typically brought on by the dream self or something else falling, flying, collapsing, rising, and so on. In this case, my hypnic jerk actually seemed changed into a semi-conscious act, as if I knew I had to do this to fully wake (and as usual, the personified preconscious was the focus of instigation).
