Whiterains dream pretty interesting long dream last night that brought together quite a few different locations into the same dream. the whole feel of it was like being at some kind of summer camp and it contained parts of my local park, lake and river, and also parts of my old schools and university. i remember people swimming and diving in the river which was alot deeper than normal. there was also this central pool which was similar to the one i have in about 90% of dreams these days. sometimes it seeme to be a portal, others it just seems like a central focus for the dream and often dreams will end with me heading there for a swim. the earliest school part i remember is just being in some kind of concert. for some reason i was in charge of the organ although i had no clue what to do. it seemed no one else knew what they were doing either which made it easy to just fuck it off and say something like i dont know what you expected me to do anyway? after this there was some kind of demonstration/exhibition being put on outside my old village hall/football club. some how i got in trouble for having weed or something and kind of got semi arrested. i sort of talked my way out of it somehow but still remained kind of a fugitive for the rest of the dream. there were a couple of moments of lucidity but the dream plot was so strong that for the most part i just went along with it. i remember being in a pub and there were lads round who seemed to think i owed them something as if they had helped me to escape the police or something. there was a vague threat of chopping fingers off but i never felt at risk at all in any part of the dream. this old school assistant mrs carter was there and she was kind of trying to act like she had not grassed on my grass. also there were some football commentators who were like 'well its only a bit of weed i dont really se the big deal'. it was nice to have a dream where basically most people are on your side against the police for once. the rest of the dream was mostly about going round the school/uni/camp thing looking for girls. i remember going into this toilet cubicle with 2 girls but instantly getting caught because the cubicles were tiny. one of the last things i remember was being back near these same cubicles later and about to go off with one girl when another one says 'why dont you kiss me first' so i do and i think this is where i wake up. just remembered that i was visualising previous local dream locations before going to sleep so dream incubation has really worked this time. was really great to go between so many variations of real places
Katsuno's Dream 1st: The dream started in a huge cave with a gigantic stone pillar in the middle of a lake. I was just watching the dream at that point. Someone crushed into the pillar and carved a huge hole in it. Then he summoned a building. Suddenly I was not watching it anymore and I talked to the guy. He said that he wants to build a base in that cave. He summoned other buildings and it looked like a huge pirate bay. After that I was in a huge villa and I talked to a guy and told him to go with me. He agreed and we went to the cave again. I showed him everything and we climbed to the top of the pillar. At the top the dream went crazy. Suddenly there was a huge platform above us and the guy who created the base told us that a powerful being waits for me at the top. When I arrived a women told me that the being wants my energy to destroy the world. The being teleported in front of me and said that he needs my scent. He summoned a spray can with my scent in it. I said to him that he can't destroy the world because he needs my scent and if I die he will never get it again. We agreed that he can get my scent twice a week and spares the world in return. I woke up.
Bihon's Dream I was trapped in a hole with a few other friends, some who I didn't know of. One of the girl's face was distorted, like a monster's. There were four people, and we had to try to get each other out, but the moment we all got out, we all just jump back in (thrice this happened). The monster girl got a phone call, and it seemed that we were part of an evil guy's plan to torture us. Later, I was in this park, there were some parts before it that I can't recall. In this place in that area, we've made a sanctuary, but we've stolen more than half of the stuff we've decorated it with. It had shelves, and seemed more like an altar. I believe there was this monster there. I had to get to this place, and as I walk through this city, I see people lounging around, many in costumes/cosplay. Some even had armour, and I was soon running for they started attacking me. It seemed like I was wanted, as I try to flee, dodging attacks. Before writing this, I read a dream journal, and I realized that the whole place really looked like a convention (People in cosplay, and such). I was attacked with a fireball at first from a witch, but I dodge it. Later, crossbows were pointed at me, but I deflected them with an armour on my arm (dressed as ANBU now). People then started attacking me with fencing swords, which I bent and snapped with my fingers. People with crossbows were dressed in WoW style armour, the witches were dressed in colourful dresses, but the fencers were wearing civilian. A couple more fireballs after that, I escaped. I reach the building exhausted as I enter this room. I asked to call my mom because I forgot my phone, and my hands shook so I had a hard time dialing. There was all this commotion going on in a street, and I was walking with my mom. I realize that my cousin and his supposed 'dad' was there. They had set up a freak show of some sort for people to see. On my cousin's chest, a hole had formed, where they've attached a small chanism, and when it was cranked a string of his guts came out. My supposed uncle though, had a bigger hole (sometimes he was a she) and he would lean over for a piece of insides to hang out. It looked real, not of any real organs though, my mother then said she felt sick, as I stared with interest. Fragments: Hang out with a friend, get to this place, my other cousin there, looking years younger. My best friend asks me about dogs in a pet shop...
Nephanim's Dreams Poor recall due to fragmented sleep and having to wake up two hours early... Better luck next time! Late Dining and the Late President I was visiting my parents at another new house. This one was still under construction, but they had already moved in. The driveway was jagged and unfinished, and the roof had yet to be tiled. I watched a bunch of construction workers filling a pit at the end of the driveway with cement to make the correct angle. It was vaguely interesting, but I kept getting the impression that they were doing it wrong and wanting to yell at them, so I walked inside. Chelsea was snacking on something in the kitchen. She accidentally dropped something on the floor near the wall. When she saw where it landed, she was too disgusted to pick it up and eat it. She seemed worried that it was infected with bug spray. My dad assured her that he hadn’t sprayed the kitchen yet. He only sprayed the rooms with carpet in them. As long as she ate in the kitchen, she had nothing to worry about. She still wouldn’t eat it. Instead of throwing it away, she gave it to Scamper. The dream jumped. I was walking around the lot while eating Chex Mix. Evidently, they had switched to a dog food brand, but the food was exactly the same. I doubted Scamper would be satisfied with a couple of wheat chips as a treat. I ate nearly half the bag before it occurred to me that this was probably more expensive now that it was labeled as dog food. I didn’t want to cost my parents money, so I stopped eating them and headed back to the house. The dream jumped. Since the house was right by the beach, we all went down to the shore to relax. I saw that Autumn had left hundreds of dollars sitting in the sand near the water. I quickly gathered the money and put it in my wallet so she wouldn’t lose it. Meanwhile, the rest of my family played tag or something similar. I wasn’t interested. The dream jumped. I was driving a truck with Tom Cruise in the passenger seat. We talked about what it was like to be famous and how he even had to deal with his fans in his dreams. I was glad I didn’t have that problem; the world in which I was gaining fame couldn’t significantly influence the waking one. Somehow, Tom Cruise ended up on the front of the vehicle, so I pretended to crush him against a wall when I parked at a restaurant. A reporter took a quick photo of this. “You could’ve killed me!” Cruise laughed. “But I didn’t!” I replied. We walked inside. My family had decided to eat at a restaurant so my mom wouldn’t have to cook. There were doors and mirrors everywhere, but the restaurant was really just one giant room. It felt strange walking around so many mirrors, and I didn’t have a reflection in any of them. My dad greeted the owner of the restaurant. I understood that they were close friends. The place worked similar to a buffet. We got there an hour before closing, though, so we were really paying for less than some of these people… The first edible thing I noticed was a huge sandwich for $2.50. It had eight different meats, two kinds of cheese, and freshly baked bread that put the likes of Subway and Jimmy John’s to shame. Did I mention it was bigger, too? The only catch was that it included sushi, and most of us had never tried it. Fortunately, the owner was clever and put some sushi sample trays out by the sandwiches. Austin tried it first and went to spit it out. I took a bite of the sushi and mulled over it for a minute or so before deciding it wasn’t my favorite seafood. I still wanted one of the sandwiches, though. My dad started munching on the sushi samplers instead. The dream jumped. We sat in the corner of the restaurant after finishing our food. I kept getting refills on my lemonade. I could never seem to quench my thirst. It didn’t help that no matter how little ice I put in my glass, it always ended up full of ice cubes… I felt like I was making several times as many trips as I should’ve been. We talked about Austin for a while. A guy came back from the kitchen and announced that someone had just died. A man at a nearby table thought he said Obama had been shot. Someone else shouted a similar name, but I had never heard of the person before. Enough of the customers missed the start of the announcement that we shouted back “Who?” as the guy tried to return to the kitchen. He thought we said “When?” and told us “just now.” Frustrated, I pulled out my phone to try and figure it out. I couldn’t find anything on recent deaths. There was a big news story about an escaped convict, though. I watched a report that said he was on his way through Little Italy, a booming town in Oregon dominated by the mafia. Rather than driving into the heart of the city as police expected, he swung south and went through the outskirts of town. All of the traps they’d set for him were completely useless. The reporter explained that in order to keep the public from overreacting, they had limited the number of officers chasing him to two. That meant no helicopters, so they kept losing his trail. I didn’t understand their decision… The guy had already traveled from the northern end of Washington without trouble. If he was so dangerous, why didn’t they just get it over with? The reporter was shown on the scene as a couple of fire trucks whizzed by. He seemed to think that was the next big scoop, but the news station wouldn’t switch the camera back to the anchorwoman. He just sort of shuffled in place for a while and kept repeating that he was standing by for updates to the story. The dream jumped. My dad and I discussed the death that had been announced earlier. There were already plans to create a series of bills with his face on them in his honor. I still wasn’t totally sure who we were talking about, but people were still murmuring about “the late President,” so I guessed Obama was right after all. I couldn’t believe someone would shoot him. I kept thinking of Lincoln’s assassination. Some Japanese girls walked up to the front of the store and saw us through the window. They giggled when they saw me, and I understood that they were taken in my by charm. I wasn’t interested in them, so I just kept sipping my lemonade and reading stuff on my phone. They sat down at the table next to ours. I was shocked by how rude they were… They shouted things at the owner of the store even though they had a waiter to answer their questions, and they didn’t seem to understand how placing orders worked. Their waiter showed them a device similar to an abacus with all the current orders on it. It had two stages – one for orders that were ready to be delivered and a second for orders that were being prepared. He would take a round of orders when the first set was delivered to all parties. I was confused… This was supposed to be a buffet, right? Anyway, I tried to help explain the system to one of the girls, and she just stared at me. “Shut up, Josh,” she finally said. I blinked in bewilderment. “I don’t want to,” I said sorely. I took a deep gulp of my lemonade. It didn’t occur to me to ask her how she knew my name. As we continued to sit at our table, closing time passed. The owner decided to keep the place open just for us. I took Austin’s orange juice when he wasn’t looking and drank that too. My dad and I figured out a way to drink Austin’s juice without taking his glass… It involved using three straws to overload the physics engine or something like that. Austin was reasonably annoyed by this. The dream jumped. It was already 11 PM, meaning that the restaurant was open two hours later than it should’ve been. Austin and Chelsea made quick friends with the Japanese girls, and they were all washing dishes in the kitchen. I walked over to the owner and apologized for staying so late. He didn’t say a word to me; he just nodded slowly with a solemn expression. He had huge bags under his eyes… I decided to go help wash dishes so the guy could get some rest. There wasn’t much for me to do, though; the dish washer was already full when I got there. One of the Japanese girls said this was the third load of dishes she’d done since she arrived. I found some dirty clothes piled up and realized they belonged to the owner’s wife. He would need to wash her clothes, too… I couldn’t find a washing machine, so I just folded them up and put them in a sink. The dream jumped. Someone directed me to a washing machine after they put the load of clothes in. I kept checking on it to make sure there wasn’t anything paper in there (like the hundreds of dollars Autumn left on the beach). Austin kept bringing me little slips of paper with discount coupons and advertisements on them. I had several stacks before I managed to stop him. The Japanese girls giggled at his bizarre prank. I set the stack of paper slips aside and checked on the clothes again. It was getting really dark in the kitchen even with the lights on, so I couldn’t see very well inside… I pulled out my phone to check with my flashlight. I wanted to show it to Austin, but he wouldn’t stick around long enough for me to find the right application. I was really paranoid about dropping my phone in the wash, too.
It'sMEE's Dream Fragments Basically a fragment where I'm going around wearing two pairs of glasses at once. I think I become lucid at some point, but I don't get to Chichen-Itza.
KushyBear's Dream I'm walking down the street, inside a neighborhood. This is the same tract my cousin lives in. I'm with a two friends and we spot some mutual friends. There's me, three males, and two females. The females are lesbian and are touchy feely with each other. The male from the other group is ignorant and just wants to blaze. He unleashes his insecurities on me by verbal abuse. I don't take any of it and leave, telling them I don't need to smoke. I had two small packages in my pocket, which if seen by police, would get me stopped. I tuck them down. One guy I was with originally explains that I know myself and won't let anybody tell me otherwise. I'm in a classroom with students. It seems as a normal school day. Someone with high authority at the school requests to speak with me. He questions my resolve to abstain from weed. I forgot the answer I gave, but I know that it wasn't clever. In certain points of view though, you'd know that it was strong enough for me to not smoke.
Bihon's Dream I was in my mother's work, and we were in this small place, with glass windows around us. In the middle, was a fryer, the workers there were chickens, huge, talking, anthropomorphic ones. The boss there was a turkey, and before my mother's workmates had arrived, they stopped, and plucked their own feathers and rolled around in the batter by themselves before it was too late, and they deep fried themselves. I recall being Willow for a while from Buffy, and the "Scooby Gang" being there (I watch too much Buffy ) But I was myself again later on. I was in school at that time, and I knew what was gonna happen, that I was going to get killed. Back to my old self again, there was this event going on, and kids were running around the stairs. My gym teacher was there, and I soon got shot after I warned everybody, I said my goodbye as I fell to the floor numb, the world around me spinning around. My childhood friend was there, and the DC's reactions around me were blank, seemed like they didn't care, but did have I sense that they were only DC's so I didn't care. Later, I was revived then there was this photoshoot going on.... I woke up.
Kumara's Dream Dream fragment 1 - Something about choosing an iguana for each phase. The iguana image was very large, about calf-sized and with rippling, changing colors Dream fragments 2 - In a Mexican restaurant. Climbing a light fixture with a big bubble top, inside the bubble realizing it's the only one and doesn't go further. Climbing it by a long round tube of flimsy green plastic with tribal-style cutouts, trying to sort it out and untangle it and get inside. Also trying to fit in between the 'tines' of a metal something-or-other also hanging from the light fixture. I heard the phrase, "Protracted tectonic" and repeated it, it seemed very important to remember and write in my dream journal. WBTB I see a door, I know I am dreaming and stop and collect my intention to step into Chichen Itza when I walk through the door. It is dark, the door is already slightly open, the handle is one of those straight office-door handles, the knob on the right, the door opening away from me. I imagine how I will step into Chichen Itza and step through the door...then I am falling and falling and kind of enjoying the slow fall, I do a somersault/flip and then land, very softly, into a shallow dirt hole (the image that flashes through my mind as I land is of a story I recently heard of a woman giving birth in Tibet and digging a hole for her baby to be born into). I sit up and look around, it's dark and I believe I am at the foot of the pyramid, at a fire surrounded by many others I think of as "tribe". A woman who seems out of place is before me and to my left, she is blond and fat and has a similar nose to mine, and she is saying that she is pregnant. I congratulate her and am quite happy to hear that especially in light of the fact that I will not be bearing any more children. I ask others if they know Nomad or Atras and if they have seen them or maybe I'm trying to find them with my mind. There is a man to my right that I feel comfortable with and feel as though we've been reunited after a very long time. I snuggle in with him, and it seems as though we have merged, as though our bodies are puzzle pieces that fit together. I stay with him a bit and perhaps we chat...it's fuzzy ...and then I decide to make another attempt to get inside the pyramid. I remember looking for the beacon at some point but not sure when in the dream. I set my intention, and fly into the sky. I enter a portal that bursts into kaleidoscopic visuals, reminding me of 5-meo-dmt only the colors are more pastel and the patterns less complex. I land in what seems like my old high school. Damn. I look around, wander the halls, and notice I am in the science wing and wandering through the old chem rooms. "Whyyyy am I HERE?" I wonder out loud, annoyed...and a dark figure that is maybe in another room but I can still see him echoes back, "Why ARE you here?". I'm wondering if this is some old aspect of the past I need to integrate and so I say, "I love and bless you all..." but I don't really feel it, I just feel mostly disgusted with myself for ending up somewhere in the past murky muck again. Fuzziness...then I'm in an old western town...more fuzziness...then I am in bed with a short blonde person and negotiating sex, someone else is there questioning my choice...fuzziness. It seems like this may have been at the beginning of the dream, like it was a circular experience.
ToneDeafMonkey's Dream My dream starts on the roof of my house. I sit there watching the sun until it hurts my eyes. My dog is on the roof and I'm like wtf? I give him a scratch behind the ears and then he jumps off the roof and runs away down the street. I dont want to lose him so I jump off the roof too and try and catch him. I nearly get hit by a lorry which swerves around me. The guy inside rolls down his window. He has loads of tatoos on his arms. Lorry guy: What are you doing?! Me: What the f*** are YOU doing? Driving on the pavement Lorry guy: This is the road We have an argument and then I ask where my dog's gone. Lorry guy: I dont know where your stupid dog is alright? So just go away. Then he drives away. I call out for my dog. He runs up to me with the paper in his mouth, which is something he NEVER does. So now I know Im dreaming and I need to go to the pyramid. I make Nipper sit and he drops the newspaper. I step into a bush and say When I get to the other side Ill be there. When I go through the bush, Im at my old shared dreaming place. Its an old shack under a cliff. Its really windy and all the sand is blowing about. The door is open on the shack. I go inside and its pretty warm because someone has lit a fire. We used to scratch things into the wood to prove we were here. Above the bench I see one of the glyphs that we carved. This one is a circle with two dots in, and is my mate Pigsy's symbol so I wait here for a bit. I decide he isnt still here so I scratch my initials in the wood. They look like a diamond with a line through them, because its hard to scratch curved lines. I try to leave, but the door is locked. I think it's probably Pigsy. Me: Pigsy? You here? Pigsy: Yes, but Im outside. I look out of one of the cracks in the wood. Its definately Pigsy. Pigsy: Will you let me in? Me: the doors locked! Pigsy: very funny. Its raining now will you let me in? Me: I cant. The doors locked!!! Pigsy: you by the door? Me: no Pigsy: Good. I watch through the crack and Pigsy kicks the door down. I'm pleased to see Pigsy again, because he moved to Australia. Me: Wow are we doing a shared dream. Pigsy shrugs. Pigsy: Probably. Itll be the first for a long time. Me: yeah sorry about that. Pigsy: no worries. Yoou still got that dog? Me: Nipper? Yeah, why? Pigsy: had a dream with him in the other night. Hey where are you going? Me: Im not going any where. Pigsy: dude, your waking up. I woke up and grabbed my DJ to write down my dream Fragment I try to do a wild but somewhere it turns into a normal dream. I'm in a dark room and I want to get to the other side. I think I might be trying to steal something because I'm trying to be really quiet and there are lots of red lasers that I need to get past. I hope i titled it right.

Nephanim's Dreams I didn't sleep very well last night. Basically, every time I woke up to write down dreams, it took me ninety minutes or longer to fall asleep again. I ended up sleeping later to get the same amount of sleep. Mike's Time Toilet I was at my parents’ new house in Texas. They were setting up a shed of some kind in their backyard. While I helped my dad with this, a device quite similar to a TARDIS appeared in the yard. It looked like the owner had worked fairly hard to maintain it with the least amount of resources possible. The door read: “Discover something new about something old… or something new.” The first letter in the first something crackled with electricity. There was some kind of bulb inside, and instinctively, I sensed that it was an error indicator. If this light went out, the machine was no longer operational. As I studied this device that appeared out of nowhere, I wondered whose it was. Out stepped Mike, armed with a bag of tools. He waved when he saw me. “How do you like it?” he laughed. “It’s my time machine.” “Wow, that’s awesome,” I said, walking around the door to study the interior. It certainly wasn’t a TARDIS; the interior was just as cramped as it looked. It looked more like a refurbished portable toilet than anything else. I even saw two extra large rolls of toilet paper inside. “While I was working on it, I heard that your parents built a shed in their yard… You told me I helped you build it. It was just too crazy an opportunity to pass up.” “Hold on,” I interrupted. “That means you could’ve decided not to build it. Then I would’ve just been lying to you in the future.” “Right. I didn’t want you to have to lie, so here I am.” I felt kind of pathetic knowing that the extent of my honesty was limited by the motivations of people who could build time machines. Scratching my arm, I studied the inscription on the door again. It looked like most of it had been on there already, but Mike had etched some of the letters into the metal. “You didn’t build this, Mike…” I admit, I was really just testing the water, but I had a strong suspicion that I was right. He just laughed and started pointing things out to me. “Hey, could you look at this for me? I think there’s something wrong with it. And, you know, I need to go back sometime.” Mike pointed at the light I recognized as the error condition signal before. “This keeps going off, and then the machine doesn’t run. Is it just a light bulb, or…?” “It’s a fail-safe.” His aah of realization was but background noise to me at this point. I was already deeply meshed with the system of the time machine, studying it in fine detail. I could feel wires lining the door… Control systems, an internal clock holding the current offset… After a moment, I walked around to the back of the time machine and found a removable metal panel. Mike handed me a screwdriver before I could ask for one. When the panel popped off, I scrutinized the switches beneath. It didn’t take me long to find the one that was set incorrectly. I couldn’t possibly tell him what the switch did, but I knew it was wrong. I flipped it, and there was a flash of light on the side of the machine. I put the panel back on and walked over to inspect it. This time, the indicator light was totally dead, but I knew it wasn’t a system problem. “This time, it’s just the bulb,” I laughed. “We’ll get you another one before you go.” From there, we went into the shed to help my dad. I found Autumn sitting on the wooden floor inside while drinking a bottled water. She stared at Mike when he came in, but she didn’t find his appearance strange enough to ask any questions. He and my dad talked briefly, and then Mike switched places with him on the ladder. When he got to the top, he doubled over, clutching his stomach. My dad and I frowned. Without a word, Mike scrambled back down the ladder and hurried out of the shed. Autumn and I were bewildered, but my dad wore a knowing smirk. “He pooped his pants,” he explained. “Mike has that gastrointestinal problem, right?” I could just see Mike outside the window of the shed. It seemed like he was taking care of his business in the yard. I didn’t understand why; he could just as easily have gone to his time machine. I supposed Melissa was tired of cleaning out his waste. “Well, I’d better get him some toilet paper… Be right back.” I stepped out of the shed, grabbed a roll from the time machine, and brought it over to Mike. “Don’t look!” he warned when he heard me approaching. Respecting his wishes, I put a hand over my eyes and chucked the toilet paper in his direction. I explained what I’d brought him. “Good, thanks. Could you draw the curtain inside so they’re not watching me? Sorry about this.” I thought about reminding him that my parents have multiple bathrooms inside, but instead, I just went along with what he said. Inside, Chelsea and my mom started talking about how she drove when they moved to the new house. My mom was so excited that Chelsea finally had her license. In contrast, Chelsea seemed uncomfortable about the fact that our parents had let her drive. She said she didn’t even have her permit at the time… I thought that was a little strange, but it seemed like such a stupid detail for her to get wrong. I pretended I knew what she was talking about. “That’s the great thing about driving on the interstate,” I said. “People usually don’t get pulled over as long as they sort of know what they’re doing.” After chatting for a while longer, Chelsea came out to the shed with me. She, Autumn, and I talked about Mike’s time machine and what we could do with it. Presentation and Lost Items Autumn and I were visiting my parents. My dad kept getting mad at me for complaining that I didn’t get enough sleep. I assured him that getting eight hours of sleep was extremely important, and by depriving himself of that, he was likely to shorten his lifespan. He said he had been sleeping six hours or less every night since I was born, so he didn’t care if it made him die sooner. We argued in Autumn’s kitchen (even though we were supposed to be at their house) for several minutes. When we left to pick up fast food, we argued in the car, too. My dad finally lost all patience with me and refused to let me order food for myself. I decided not to argue anymore. When I got back to the house, I could just go to sleep… We returned home, but my dad insisted on watching me to make sure I didn’t try to sleep. I was furious. The dream jumped. I walked from Autumn’s house to the location of our IPRO presentation. I had to walk through a field of tall grass to get to the small town. The black shoes I wore were new; I picked them up on the way so I wouldn’t look like a slob. I also brought a copy of Inception: the Children’s Book. During the presentation, I just sat back and watched. They didn’t need me to answer any questions. Afterward, Kay sat down with me and asked me to help with her earrings. She just needed me to hold pieces of them while she took them out. They were these really elaborate dreamcatcher earrings with four pieces. I studied them as I held them in my hand. Once she got the first one out, I started putting it back together so she could store it safely in her bag. Apparently, there was some kind of trick to this. I had to push the pointed end into the back of the earring while just barely pulling in the other direction. After I did it wrong several times, Kay took the earring from me and effortlessly did it right. The earring folded in on itself like jelly and turned into a hemisphere. She did the same thing with the other earring once she got it out. We walked out of the presentation hall together, and before going our separate ways, she hugged me and asked me not to forget about her. I assured her we would stay in contact somehow – although I wasn’t connected to her via social networking or anything like that. At the time, I wasn’t even sure I had her name right, but I didn’t say that. I continued outside alone. It was too dark for me to tell which way I had come from… I still had a long way to walk to get back to Autumn’s house – at least an hour and a half’s journey. I pulled out my phone and asked for walking directions to her house. It was running really slowly, though. I decided to start walking in the same direction as some other people. Before long, I realized something was wrong: I wasn’t wearing shoes. For that matter, when I checked my bag for them, I realized my book was gone. I ran back inside the building, passing a couple of old theaters similar to the Ramova. There were security devices everywhere. I didn’t have any trouble getting back in, though. I got on an escalator that adjusted its speed according to my will. On the top floor, I ran into Kay and a guy I didn’t know. I asked about my book, but they weren’t sure where I’d left it. The guy led me down to the library and tried to give me their copy. Obviously, I wanted to find my own… I continued into what appeared to be Dakota’s bedroom. Kaitlin was changing her diaper under a dresser. The whole room was in complete disarray. Instead of a crib, she had a mattress on the floor. The rest of the furniture was turned at strange angles in the middle of the floor as though Kaitlin was in the process of rearranging. When I told her what I was missing, she made a worried face. It was going to be hard to find anything in this mess of a bedroom. We searched together and eventually managed to find my copy of Inception. There was no sign of my shoes. At Kaitlin’s recommendation, I went through a portal into a haunted house to check there for my shoes. I found a ghostly skull in the room on the other end of the portal. When I defeated it, I received three books and the initial tokens for a quest corresponding to each. It was clear that Kaitlin thought I still needed a book even though we’d found that already. I went back to the presentation hall to check there. The custodial staff stopped me at the door and assured me they hadn’t found my shoes. They said I could check the lost and found tomorrow to see if anyone had turned them in. Disappointed, I walked out of the building. I ran into Autumn and her dad on my way down the dirt path leading back to their house. We talked about my family, especially Austin. The conversation seemed to revolve around how my dad never taught us to use tools. Phil seemed to feel guilty that he couldn’t give Autumn as much money as my parents gave me at the end of our visit. I furrowed my brow when I heard him say this; it didn’t seem like him at all. When we mentioned my shoes, he pulled them out of his bag. He had them all along! Equipped with shoes, I was eager to head home. Robbo Fruccini and the Elderly of Deadman Wonderland I was imprisoned in Deadman Wonderland with Autumn. As we stumbled upon his office, we discovered that Robbo Fruccini, the legendary mob boss who secretly controlled most of the prison guards from within the prison, was actually Autumn’s brother Rob. For some reason, I understood that he was Matt and Eric’s brother, but it took me a while to understand how he was related to Autumn… We met with Shiro and retreated so Rob’s men wouldn’t kill us for discovering his secret. The dream jumped. I watched a bunch of elderly prisoners struggling in their wheelchairs. Their younger relatives visited on occasion, but in almost every case, they felt such pity for their elderly family members that they weren’t sure they could ever come back. I watched an old black woman climb into a laundry basket and roll around on the floor. Her son covered his face in his hands and muttered something about what a burden she was. Bowling, Chess, and Searching for Hills I stood in line at a store. There was only one register open even though two cashiers were working. The two people in front of me weren’t that slow, however, so I didn’t really mind. When the guy directly in front of me swiped his card to pay, he walked off to get something without signing his name, so I had to wait. After he paid, he played some kind of bowling match with the cashier. I continued waiting patiently. When my turn came, he handed me a controller. A young girl with a bored expression took the other one. I chose a golden bowling ball for good luck. At the start of the game, we had to bowl on a gigantic lane with twenty pins and some obstacles to determine our turn order. My opponent only got two pins before her ball ricocheted into the gutter. I got three, but then my ball spun so hard that it turned around and came back to hit me. Anyway, I won, so I got to go first. I found myself standing on a stone bridge just outside a small castle. Below me was a bubbling marsh full of wrecked ships. The bridge made a J shape connecting my castle to a similar one on the other end. I knew without asking that this was the girl’s castle. I decided I would start collecting materials from the shipwrecks to fortify my castle. I lifted them out of the marsh with telekinesis and set them up on the bridge. After grabbing a few ruined ships, I walked into the castle to see what was available to me. I found a reference guide for playing this game. It was ultimately a game of chess, but I would have to build my chess pieces using resources. I set the reference guide on a desk in my personal office. A man serving as my assistant stood outside the door and said “Yes, sir” to everything I said. He didn’t really assist me much. I also noticed an enormous cicada on the balcony outside my room. I warned my assistant to keep the door closed – lest the world’s largest cicada decide to invade our kingdom. “Yes, sir,” he replied, rubbing his nose. I went back to my shipwrecks and dismantled them. Using the resources from these, I was able to create some pawns. I sent most of them across the bridge to attack my opponent’s castle. It was just a test run; I wasn’t sure what they were capable of. The pawns that remained behind helped collect shipwrecks while I reviewed the reference guide in my room. It mentioned something about using fireworks to strengthen enemy soldiers. I wondered why anyone would ever want to do that… The dream jumped. Autumn was talking with Alicia about sexual orientation. She said that liking men was worth two points, liking women was worth two points, and being bisexual was worth two and a half points. Naturally, I had a problem with this; I didn’t understand why liking men and women was “better” than liking men or women. She also claimed she had earned a total of nine points through her sexuality, and even if I gave her all the points she listed, that still wouldn’t come out to nine! I brought this to her attention, but she didn’t have a good answer. She just told me I didn’t understand. I argued that perhaps someone had pressured her into preferring one of the two genders, so she was giving herself double points for being bisexual and double points for that gender. That would be nine points if she excluded the less desirable sex, but then she wouldn’t really be bisexual anymore. Anyway I worked it out, it didn’t seem right. “Hey,” Alicia said, changing the subject without a care in the world. “Have you ever seen Legacy of the Jount?” “No…” I replied. Autumn hadn’t seen it either, but apparently, she had heard of it. Some random person asked me what it was about. “I don’t really know…” I answered honestly. As I pictured the movie, I saw a building with “FORMAL HIGH SCHOOL” written on it. I supposed it was about rich kids going to school. The dream jumped. Hibari tired of dealing with school discipline and walked out to his school’s parking lot. He managed to get into a car, but without the keys, he couldn’t go anywhere. Strangely, the radio turned on when he climbed in the back seat. He muttered something about the Japanese understanding how to make a proper vehicle. Gradually, Hibari and I merged awareness, and I took control of his body. I looked down and saw the car keys on the floor of the back seat. Grinning, I picked them up and began twirling them. I could leave – but where would I go? I pulled out my phone and searched for a hill nearby. I doubted I could find one of significant size anywhere nearby. After the search went through, I found a hill that was only 1.8 miles away. It was on the other side of an airport. At first, I thought it was on the airport grounds – which would be completely useless to me – but my phone showed a video of me, Omi, and Opi taking pictures on the hill. There was some kind of desert plateau near the hill. We also found a whole family of hedgehogs living there. I wasn’t sure I really wanted to drive that far, but if I wanted to go anywhere else, it would be much further. I hopped into the driver’s seat and started the car with a sigh… Anything to get away from here, I thought.
whiterains dream the first bit i can recal is quite odd. i was going through a town in the past, and people were storing albums in weird places. they were sticking them to the bottom of buildings on the side of the street for safe keeping. may just have been about how much more trusting people have been in the past and you can leave your door unlocked without worrying kind of thing. one guy rode past some one sticking their album to the wall and kicked sand at it to help it stick. all made sense even though i am thinking to myself did they really do this in the old days? next i am at a party at home. its more of a dull adults type thing. i wanted to eat some olives so was hunting round my kitchen for something that i can put some on to share with everyone. our front window has turned into a type of porch. there is some guy next door who pulls up in a massive stretch limo. the limo scrapes down the side of the porch. my mum goes to have a word but comes back saying he just wouldnt talk to her. i go round there to try to ask him to be more careful of the porch and it turns out he is south african and doesnt speak the best english but is nice enough and he cheerily agrees to be more careful and we shake hands. the only other bit i remember was just some small talk with guests telling them where toilets are and how to get to the garden where everyone at the party is hanging out
It'sMEE's Dreams I'm in a shop of some sort, and me, my mum and hannah go into a room. There's a shelf to the right and a table in the left corner on the far side of the room. My mum says I can choose some stuff to buy if I like while she goes to get lunch. I do that, and then suddenly I decide I can walk up the walls. The shelf is so tall you can't see the top, where there are more things. I go up the walls and then crawl along the ceiling, picking up all the things as I go along. My mum has returned and is telling me to get down so I can have lunch. "One minute!" I say. I reach for the last thing on the shelf, a polished stone egg. I'm about to pick it up, when I realise this is stealing. I put the egg back and as I crawl back along the ceiling, I put back the things I don't really want. I keep about three things, one is strangely named 'Nomad's dusty dust'. I jump down and sit on a small chair at the table. My mum says something like "That's the last time I get anything for you." I look at the food in front of me. This is not what I wanted. It looks manky, but I put out my hand to pick it up anyway, when I realise this isn't my lunch, it's my mum's. I take my own lunch and begin to eat that. When I'm finished, it's quite dark and I pick up the little box that says 'Nomad's dusty dust' and look at it. It's a box full of rubbery red things, and when I press a button, it sends lazers out in the room like the ones on a film that people have to get past. I step through one, and I get covered in dust. I think I wake up now. It's like a voice says in my ear, 'do you know what time it is? You're alarm is going to go off. Would you like your alarm to go off now?' and then it does... I'm at some strange place that must be a school (I'm dreaming again now). There's a vending machine sort of outside standing against a wall. I queue up for a while, and while I do, I stick up posters on the wall on my right. Irene and Lydia, who are my friends, are there too, queuing up with me. We're second in line now, and I begin to decide what I'm buying. I get to the machine, but Irene and Lydia go first. When it's finally my turn, it won't accept my money. So I put three five pound notes in instead, but the machine says I've put three pounds in. Irene and Lydia don't seen to think this matters. They say it's enough to buy food, and just don't seem to get that I've put fifteen pounds in and it's saying I've only put three pounds in. I choose something anyway. It costs one pound something, and I get five pounds change. I don't even get a chance to eat my lunch because the bell goes off. The school I am in is the same one I've had in a dream before, where my school randomly turned into someone elses. I don't really care though, and we go to sit in a class room. I stick up the same posters from before in here. Then the teachers say that our pizzas are ready, only I don't remember making pizza. Ours is a sausage pizza. They give us a strange herby cheesey stuff to put on top. It's a circle shape that covers the entire pizza. I pick it up. The teacher announces the best pizza wins a prize. Suddenly, there's a whole roast hog on ours. Irene asks for the herby cheese stuff, and I hand it to her but it's only a small piece of the original thing. "Where's the rest?" I ask "I don't know." Irene says. "Emma, I think you rolled it up." Lydia says. "Oh yeah." I take the herby stuff and try to roll it out into a circle again. Dream ends.
What's Mine is Mine! Recall: 6/10 Sleep: Good Sleep Position: UnknownI find a chest plate and other armor, and put it on as I walk down the street. Along with the armor, there is a children's toy, one of those ball poppers on wheels you push along with a stick. There are several pieces to it, and I put them in, which makes it look kind of weird. Then I realize I have no shirt or coat on, and it's winter. My skin is practically blue, and I turn around to look where my coat is. I see it about two blocks back on the sidewalk. I put down the toy and head back to collect my coat, but before I get there I see a truck pull up. A guy gets out and walks over and picks up my toy thing. He heads back to his truck and I cut him off telling him that they toy thing belongs to me. He ignores me and tries to get back in his truck. I tell him again that it's mine, and demand he give it back, but he doesn't comply. So I walk up to him and give him a surprise kick in the shin. The guy predictably doubles over and I knee him in the face, straightening him up again, them pummel him with punches. I love how I have almost no inhibitions in dreams.

Nephanim's Dreams Rocking Chair Realm and Untoasting a Sandwich I experienced a bizarre, abstract realm inside a rocking chair. Infinite space was available in this realm, but because of the way it was composed, energy couldn’t solidify into matter here. As such, I was just a floating lump of dream energy bumping into other lumps of dream energy. I was incredibly confused. The dream jumped. I was at Subway with my mom and Autumn. We had to order dinner for everyone, but since my mom had no idea what anyone wanted, that meant it was up to me and Autumn to figure it out. Autumn went to the bathroom before we started our order. The guy making our sandwiches kept getting the bread wrong for one of our sandwiches, so I knew I was in for an awesome Subway experience… Then he toasted a sandwich without asking if we wanted it that way. He didn’t even ask what kind of cheese to put on it before he threw it in there. When I brought this problem to his attention, he was surprisingly casual about the mistake. He just kept working on the next sandwich. When he was done putting meat on that one, he untoasted the first sandwich – presumably with his mind. I was a little shocked, but I went with it. One of the sandwiches I ordered looked disgusting. It featured three scoops of chocolate ice cream on bread with herbs and cheese, an assortment of vegetables, and extra oil and vinegar. I understood that I was ordering this sandwich for the guy who was making it. I’m not sure he was aware of it, either. My recall of this dream is fairly fuzzy since my alarm woke me up in a merciless fashion. It doesn’t help that I lay in bed for fifteen minutes half-dreaming about typing up a post about it. At the end of this miniature dream, I snapped awake and realized I’d forgotten the most important part of the dream – but then I joked to myself that I probably hadn’t written anything out for it. Of course, I hadn’t left the bed. Spilling Gray Matter Autumn and I devised an elaborate plan to get away with murder. We lived in a small town on the outskirts of a kingdom. Every now and then, the king’s soldiers would come to the door just to check up on us. It was assumed that criminals would draw attention to themselves during these innocent meetings at the front door. Little did the king know his soldiers made their visits on a strict schedule that Autumn and I had already worked out! Our house was pretty big with three stories of above-ground space and a sizable basement beneath it. We designed our plans for murder around the architecture of our basement. Basically, the stairs made a full loop around the perimeter of the basement on their way down, and the basement floor was made of steel instead of concrete or other common materials. I suggested that I could throw someone over the railing in such a way that their head shattered on the steel floor and spilled their gray matter. Autumn agreed that it would work. I don’t know why she agreed to this, but we chose Keith as our target. When he came to our house, we lured him into the basement. We had just spoken with the local soldiers for our usual checkup, so I knew we would be free of them for the maximum amount of time. Autumn went to the bottom of the stairs. When she was in position to prevent Keith from running back up to me, I grabbed him around the waist, flipped him upside down, and threw him over the railing. As expected, he hit his head on the floor, but the force wasn’t nearly as powerful as I planned – or rather, his skull was more resilient than I thought it would be. I grabbed him with telekinesis and raised him a few feet off the ground only to slam him down again. Each time, I heard a cracking sound like the shell of an egg caving in. Autumn seemed to think he was already dead, but I was determined to spill the guy’s brains. I wanted to see what it would be like. I cracked his skull harder and harder until bits of cranial fluid began oozing out. There was no blood, mind you, just a clear fluid that kept the brain hydrated. “Awesome, hear come the brainy bits,” I laughed. I did it again, and his whole brain flopped out. I dropped the lifeless body and levitated the brain high enough to inspect it from the stairs. The skull had done an impressive job of protecting it. Although Keith’s bodily vessel was now useless, his brain was basically intact. I wondered if I could communicate with it… Someone knocked at the front door. Rushing to action, I sealed Keith’s brain away in another dimension and waved Autumn up the stairs. We had to play it cool with the soldiers, otherwise we’d never get away. Even after I made Keith’s corpse and the cranial fluid disappear, I knew the soldiers would find traces of his existence. They would know that he disappeared here. If we wanted our freedom, we couldn’t allow them to search the house! I led the way to the door and calmly opened it. To my surprise, they were doing another checkup even though we had one just the previous day. I asked them about it, and the soldiers said that they were worried for our safety and wanted to give us extra attention. I said I was glad the king cared so much about his subjects. At any rate, I was relieved when the soldiers tapped the butts of their spears in farewell. Autumn and I gathered our belongings and exited through the back door. With my help, we were able to walk across a lake behind our house. Our destination was another small town in the forest not far from our home. We would stay there for a night, then continue on our way once the soldiers discovered our house empty. As I walked across the surface of the calm lake, however, I glanced back at the town and spotted soldiers heading toward our house again. The way the town was arranged on the waterfront, ours was the only one with its back to the lake. Because of this, I was able to watch the soldiers march until they disappeared behind the shape of our home. Although it was possible they were just visiting the people across the street, I knew better. They suspected murder and came back to interrogate us. “Change of plans,” I told Autumn. “We need to run as far from here as we possibly can.” As we entered the forest, I got the impression that this had happened before… After waking, I realized why I felt this way. The impression of events following this dream was exactly the same as the “pursuit of wolves” part at the end of another dream I posted here earlier this year. This dream basically acted as the prequel to that one’s chase. (For convenience, the relevant portion of said dream is in italics below.) The dream jumped. Somehow, Nicole and I were in a forest late at night… We met up with a third person to escape town. Some kind of new law had been passed that put us in a legal gray area, and we didn’t want to risk the king’s wrath. Our rendezvous point was a swing set in a small park. We saw police approaching and decided to wait. If we started running, they would just chase us into the woods to see what we were up to. The police cars passed by, and we slipped into the woods. At some point, we became maned wolves like Lyra. The guy we met up with was replaced by Lyra during the transition. We ran through the dark forest, passing dilapidated homes with doors breaking off their hinges, shattered windows, and sagging walls. We knew we were being pursued, and the men after us were catching up. Nicole came up with a plan for a diversion. I would transform back into a human, tell our pursuers I had located a couple of wolves, and then… Well, she didn’t give me the rest of the plan. I met with the policemen following us. They were carrying flashlights, so they were clearly prepared for a thorough search of the woods. I explained things as Nicole asked me to and led them over to where Nicole was hiding. At that point, I realized this wasn’t a well thought out plan. The police were just going to catch us. We might’ve gotten away if we had been more careful. Nicole stumbled out of a wooden box she had tried to hide in. Lyra remained in the shadows, but I could see her eyes. “Well, well, well…” one cop snickered. “What have we here?” He pulled out a gun, but one of the other cops gave him a signal to stand down. “Don’t damage the fur,” he said. “We can sell it for profit when it dies.” Nicole and Lyra broke into a sprint directly into the woods. The cops scattered to follow them. Since they had let me out of sight, I transformed into a wolf and bounded after Nicole and Lyra. We met up on a rabbit trail snaking its way through the forest. I didn’t know if the cops would bother with the trail, but either way, they were close behind us. We tried to hide in the basement of an abandoned house near a lake, but the cops followed our tracks and found us there. I issued a brief change of plans in a whisper to Nicole and Lyra. “They’ll take us somewhere with a bunch of dogs,” I said. “They want to skin us for our furs. We’ll change into humans once we get there and find a way to break out. Let them catch you.” We had no chance, otherwise. If they had to kill us, they would do it for the safety of the public. I purposely backed into a corner where they would be able to catch me. Then I realized what they were going to feed us in captivity… Dog food at best, but probably gruel. I gagged. I didn’t want to eat gruel. One of the three cops picked a block of wood off the ground and chucked it at me. I evaded it easily, but I wished I hadn’t. He upgraded to a spoon. I let it hit me in the side. “Please don’t…” I begged. I knew he couldn’t understand me. He pulled out a fork and threw that. Alarmed, I dodged it. I didn’t want to get stabbed by eating utensils. Of course, he moved up to a butter knife next. Then a real knife. Then three knives. One of the other cops was an expert marksman, and he could throw the blades much faster than I could dodge them. He demonstrated by nearly lopping off my leg. “Watching ‘em cower is always so fun,” he said to his buddies. I couldn’t see what happened to Nicole and Lyra. The room was too dark. One of the flashlights illuminated the marksman and my corner, but that was it. The cop pulled out another blade and held it up. “Please don’t…” I repeated. He flung it right where my ear would’ve been, but I moved to the left to avoid it. It singed the fur on my ear. I whimpered quietly. He pulled out another blade. This time, I tried to dodge right, but I had that blasted knife in the wall where I wanted my head to go. The knife pinned my ear to the wall. I howled, reaching a paw up toward my ear as if to remove the knife… But I knew I couldn’t – not like this. I whimpered again and again. “What’s the ruckus all about?” the officer’s superior asked from the darkness. “Oh, nothin’,” the marksman assured him. “It thinks I got its ear.” “Did you?” “No, ‘course not. Don’t wanna stain the fur with blood, do I?” When I woke up, I was clutching my ear and trembling. Oma and the uPass I was on Chelsea’s college campus with Oma. They announced that uPass pickup had begun over an intercom. I understood that students at her school had to pay the uPass fee on-site rather than as part of their tuition. Reflecting on this, I decided I preferred including it with the tuition because it meant I wouldn’t have to buy it with money I’d spend on food otherwise. Oma wanted a uPass for herself, but when I told her it was only for college students, she lost all her motivation. Engaging Details for Stability and Old Dog Stroke The dream began in my German classroom at my old high school. Bauske was giving instructions for an exam mostly in English, but the important parts were written on the board in English. One of the students in the back raised her hand and complained that she couldn’t understand the German instructions. I laughed under my breath. That was the point, wasn’t it? At any rate, the instructions required us to read an old paper we submitted and critique it in German. I wasn’t totally sure how to proceed with mine… Bauske had someone read hers out loud, but that made it difficult for me to read mine because of all the noise. As I sat down with it and started skimming, I saw comments from Bauske written in the margin. The words spiraled inward to an incredibly small font. I got up and went to the bathroom down the hall. The dream jumped. I was washing my hands on my way out. Some guy and I joked about a show I’d never seen… Something about two guys showering together and how it led to a divorce. Anyway, the paper towel dispenser was basically built into the sink, and I accidentally got mine wet. Fortunately, the trash can was also built into the sink; there was a place for soaked materials. On my way back to the classroom, I began to wonder if there was any point in doing Bauske’s test. Something about the whole thing felt pointless. When I walked back into the classroom, it was obviously different. The seats were arranged in a U shape with some at higher elevations than others, sort of like a band classroom. I only briefly sat down before I threw aside my paper. “That’s what it was,” I said, rolling my eyes. “I’m dreaming.” Obviously, I wasn’t going to waste any time doing an exam in my dream. No one bothered me when I stood up and started walking around again. I decided to take some advice I saw on a dreaming forum and focus on details in the dream to stabilize it. I saw some pill bottles on a girl’s desk and started reading the fine print. I didn’t have any trouble doing this, but it got old fast… I decided to study the details in the girl’s face instead. She had a lot of freckles and wore her blond hair in a ponytail. I remember thinking she was familiar, but I couldn’t put a name to her face. In retrospect, she looked sort of like Ray. After studying her freckles for a moment, I circled around and prodded the back of her head. Again, no one reacted. They were absorbed in their exams. I glanced left and right, paused, then stuck my face in her hair and took a sniff. It was a convenient way of engaging my sense of smell. There wasn’t much to the smell of her shampoo, though. Even with all this, I was gradually losing the dream. I remembered someone mentioning taking bites out of trees… Come to think of it, licking the wall in that one lucid dream helped me before. The girl’s back was exposed just above the shoulder blades. I bent over and started licking her skin. It tasted kind of strange, though, like she might’ve put something on it… The imagery faded, and I wondered in the back of my mind if I had just woken up licking Autumn’s back. I couldn’t remember what she was wearing. I lost my lucidity in the void. When the dream imagery returned, I was outside the school in the parking lot. I watched a guy in some kind of reverse plow truck (the plow was in the back) speed across the parking lot. He hit the speed bumps so hard that he skipped every other one! When he pulled into a parking space, he went right over the curb and into the grass. To my amazement, instead of correcting his parking, he kept driving until he rammed into the side of a replica of Autumn’s pool. He popped the truck into reverse and almost ran over two people walking down the sidewalk. He rammed into the back of a dump truck next, and the dump truck seemed to pop out of gear… It rolled backward and almost hit another person. “What are you doing?!” I shouted, waving at the truck driver. “You’re gonna get someone killed!” He had his windows rolled down, but he wasn’t paying any attention. Dirt and trash spilled out of the back of the dump truck. The dream jumped. I was at some kind of party with Autumn. As I walked in, I saw an old man with a cane tottering past me. A woman working busily in the kitchen seemed familiar, and she greeted me with a wave. I still couldn’t name a single person here with the exception of Autumn. She disappeared into the laundry room for no apparent reason, and I continued into the empty living room area. I just wanted to wait alone until Autumn came back. As I sat on the floor of the living room, I began wondering how I got to this party. That’s right, I thought, I was lucid dreaming before. Hey, I’m still in the dream! I looked around the plain room. There was nothing but a sofa in here! Strange… I stood and walked back out. Instead of finding myself in the kitchen full of old relatives I didn’t know, I ended up on a city street. I found myself in the body of an old man who had just suffered a stroke. Curious, I observed as he dropped to all fours and started barking like a dog. Instead of taking him to a hospital, a couple of police officers decided to take him on as their police dog. I chuckled at the obvious influence of Wilfred on my dreams. “He just had a stroke, you know,” I told the cop driving their patrol car telepathically. He kind of looked over at the old man for a second, then did a double take. “Holy crud!” he exclaimed. “That’s not a dog, dude! He’s having a stroke!” I couldn’t believe they really thought he was a dog. Cyber Ghost of Aperture Laboratories I was at some kind of museum with Autumn and Alex. Autumn’s mom worked there, so our admission was free. She complained that Autumn smelled like smoke. “I know, I’m trying to do something about the smell,” she replied. At any rate, we went to a room that was anime-themed. They had all kinds of amazing figurines. A rich man came through with his daughter and talked with us about how much she loved anime. When she threw a temper tantrum, he pointed at an expensive figurine on display and said he would buy it for her. I couldn’t believe he would spend money on a whim like that; it was obvious that he was more wealthy than I could imagine. Autumn and I sat on a couch with his daughter while he took an important phone call. The little girl had a number of figurines, but she wasn’t really paying attention to them anymore. When she got up, Autumn stuffed some of them in the sofa. “What are you doing?” I whispered. “Stealing them,” she said. “I’ve already got six.” I took a peek at the figurines stuffed in the corner of the couch. They didn’t look like any characters I knew. The dream jumped. I found myself in Aperture’s testing facility. The walls around me were in constant flux, rising and falling like dominoes. The path changed every time the walls shifted. If I didn’t keep moving, I would be crushed by opposing walls, so I kept my eyes peeled for a safe path. I had to walk in circles for a few minutes as the path began to spiral inward. A long, narrow hallway opened up. It felt like a trap, but I decided to go for it anyway. I ran down the hall and dove into a room at the end at the last second. The wall behind me closed up. When I sat up on the floor of the room, I saw that I was in some kind of hotel room. I scrambled to my feet and made my way to the phone on the counter immediately. I picked up and waited for a dial tone. Nothing. “Great, it’s dead,” I sighed. “Hello?” a man on the other end replied. “This is the service desk.” “Whoa, it’s not dead! Hey! Listen, I need you to find out what room I’m calling from and send someone up here to help immediately!” “You in some kind of trouble?” “Yeah, there’s a crazy robot after me… Have you ever heard of Aperture Science?” “Can’t say I have.” “I’ll explain later. What’s important is that you get someone up here immediately. I don’t know how much time I have. She’s going to cut the line for sure.” “Whatever, kid.” “I know this probably sounds like a prank call or something, but I’m deadly serious. Please, listen to me!” The room shook as something beneath it shifted. All the power in the room was instantly cut off. I yelled into the phone, but of course, there was no reply. I decided to roam the hotel room. At least I didn’t have to worry about the walls crushing me anymore… The layout was similar to my parents’ second house in Texas, although some of the rooms were clearly modified. I wondered how GLaDOS knew to use it as a model. When I walked into a room that had been added beside the kitchen (replacing some garage space), a TV in that room turned on. The screen glowed bright red. A discomforting, high-pitched whine and the sound of a crackling radio went off in the background. I found a bow and a quiver full of arrows on a table, so I grabbed those and readied myself. A blue figure appeared in the air, its eyes beady and sinister. I understood that it was some kind of ghost, but it had been created by the internet. His form was tall and slender, but I couldn’t make out any specific details. Everything surrounding him became blurry. Even though it was a ghost, my first instinct was to start shooting arrows. I kept shooting even when it was obvious that they went right through him. The ghost started throwing ghostly teacups and silverware at me. I did my best to dodge. My arrows went right through these, too, so there was nothing I could do. I eventually traded the bow for a ghostly frying pan the enemy threw at me. Holding it didn’t harm me, and I was able to destroy the spirit projectiles with it. I supposed I would be able to harm the ghost himself, too. He sat down on a dresser in the room and started groaning while holding his head. I took this chance to throw the frying pan like a boomerang, striking him in the side of the head. The frying pan came spinning back to me. A wall in the living room opened up, and Austin stumbled through. It closed up behind him. “Austin, you’re alive!” I exclaimed. I had to swing my body out of the way of a ghostly steak knife, but once I raised my frying pan, I knew I would be able to defend myself. “Check this out – there’s a ghost.” By the time he made it over to me, the ghost was gone. It left no trace of its existence except the ghostly frying pan in my hands. Austin gave me a weird look and walked off. I don’t know how long I waited in that hotel room… There was no way for me to exit. I couldn’t call anyone on the phone, and Austin seemed to have disappeared. I tried talking to GLaDOS, but she didn’t respond. I even tried communicating with the ghost, but it wouldn’t respond, either. Puzzled, I took a seat at the kitchen table and waited. After a while, I heard the same noise that had accompanied the ghost’s appearance before. I knocked over my chair in the process of getting to my feet. Fortunately, it wasn’t manifesting right above my head… When I saw the red glow beyond the wall of the kitchen, I decided to go investigate. So armed with my frying pan, I ran straight to my parents’ bedroom. I found my mom with a noose around her neck. The ghost was preparing to kill her. I chucked my frying pan at it, and the ghost disappeared. I wasted no time in getting my mom out of the noose. She seemed bewildered and didn’t recall anything to do with a ghost or the events leading up to her near suicide. Since I understood that the ghost was digital in its origins, I wondered if I could use something like an application on a cell phone to fight it. I downloaded a fantasy weapon application and selected the bow. I had to assume the bow was given to me for a reason. If GLaDOS wouldn’t speak to me, it was because this was a test – and that was her only hint. I had some difficulty setting the thing up… Firstly, it wanted me to select one of several bows, and by trial and error, I found out that only one of them would actually work. I guess there were quests I needed to complete in the application to use the other ones. Secondly, the application didn’t respond to the motion of firing an arrow. I found out I had to shake it back and forth instead. When I was confident that I could shoot my digital arrows at the ghost, I started patrolling the hotel room in search of it. My mom disappeared after the first walk around my prison. The red light returned – this time, in Austin’s room. I headed in there and found a giant monitor. The pixels took the form of the ghost’s face, and he smiled at me. I still couldn’t really make out his features; although the resolution was fine, it was as though a blur had been put over his face. I opened fire. It was evident that my attacks weren’t doing any damage, though. I decided I should’ve stuck with the frying pan… In this form, however, that wouldn’t hurt him either. The walls began to move. The floor beneath me opened, and I fell into a dark pit. Stuffed Animal Dungeon I was playing on WMBRO with Autumn. There was a new dungeon with only one floor. It was full of living stuffed animals of various kinds… To clarify, there were thousands of them. Even Symphony had a great deal of trouble surviving in this dungeon. It was divided into five outer regions and an inner core. A special version of Dracula spawned here, and Autumn needed to defeat him for a quest item. I wanted it, too, but it was more important for her to get the item. Fighting Dracula with the stuffed animals all around us proved far too difficult, so I lured him to a safer area and fought him there. I had to use a Yggdrasil seed at one point. I was surprised that Autumn survived without any healing items. When I finally killed Dracula, I saw that I obtained the quest item she needed, but I didn’t get Symphony’s ballista. The quest item was some kind of necklace… I handed it over to Autumn. Ping Pong Crane Game I was in line for something… Surprisingly, I never found out what. The line began across the street from a stadium. As Autumn and I approached the street, a guy on a bike asked to go in front of us. I told him he could go, but then he didn’t… We waited almost until the light was about to change to cross. I had to run to the other side to avoid getting in the way of traffic. Anyway, we followed the slow-moving line down a winding road to the stadium. Once we were inside, I observed that there were arcade games set up along the way to keep people entertained. Most of them were fairly boring. The only one that caught my attention was a crane game that required you to grab a ping pong ball and drop it on a hanging prize. The balls were in constant motion, so catching them was difficult enough, but with the way the controls were set up, it was hard to drop the ball with any precision once you managed to get one. I got really lucky on my first try and won the prize. Unfortunately, the prize was just the manual for the crane game… Austin read it aloud while I tried to win one of the other two prizes. Autumn tried playing, too, but neither of us could win again. When we were done, Austin stepped up to the plate. He said that the next prize was a guide to defeating GLaDOS. It even included a remedy for neurotoxin poisoning. He wasn’t able to win it before I woke up, either.
