    1. Clouds: It's What's for Dinner!

      by , 08-15-2012 at 01:01 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
Nonlucid. I dreamed that I was in my old 3rd story apartment. It was night time. I lived alone, no Chris, no boyfriend, dogs cats, nothing, just me. So the place was really clean, and kinda minimalist. I remember I was very thirsty and I had some ice water that I started drinking. The place was dimly lit, and i had the balcony door open. For some reason, the clouds were really really low, and moving slowly towards the apartments. One drifted into my apartment, and began to dissipate. For some reason I flopped down on the floor just behind it, which caused a gust of air to push it quickly into the wall, and what cloud had not dissipated yet, bounced off the wall and back toward me. I opened my mouth and breathed it in. It was really effervescent, kinda like when you breathe the fumes from dry ice, or you burp after drinking a carbonated drink, and it's all fizzy in your mouth and nose. Anyway, that's what the cloud tasted like. That's all I remember. That and finding a wet almond in my ice water that I threw out of the window after fishing it out of my glass.

      I woke up really thirsty.

    2. First WILD Experience

      by , 08-14-2012 at 07:12 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
I think I finally got this thing down, thanks to some advice I got from RareCola, who's currently in Sageous's WILD class.

I went to bed at about 2am, then woke up at 5am and went back to sleep. Then again at 6:30am and went back to sleep. Then I heard the kids get up at about 8am, so I got up and shut my door. When I went back to bed, I got on my side, and after a few minutes I could feel vibrations. Not that uncommon for me to get there, usually I just lose consciousness and fall asleep after that. But this time, I remembered something RareCola had said, about what I should should do next time I get to the vibrations stage. I should look for the HI or HH to form, then open my dream eyes, and I should be in an LD without losing awareness from awake to sleep. So I stared at the back of my eyelids, and since it was already somewhat light out, it looked orange and blotchy. But the vibrations started making it look like there were flashes of light, with little sparks of electricity. I remember thinking at that moment, that I don't really feel any SP. But I didn't really dwell on it, I wanted to try out this thing. After a few seconds, the vibrations stopped, and the blotchy sparks on the back of my eyelids were beginning to form into an image of my bedroom. I had that brief feeling that if I opened my eyes now, that my real life eyes would open and I would wake up for real. But I've had past experiences with FAs like this, and I learned to just go for it. Anyway, it worked! I opened my "dream eyes" and I was in a somewhat deformed version of my room. It looked the same except it was orange and blotchy, like the back of my eyelids a little bit. I can't believe I didn't wake myself up from the excitement of this accomplishment. I got out of bed really slowly, and left the bedroom and went into the living room. It looked like a completely different house. Since I had already done both TOTMs, I couldn't think right away of something to do. So I went to my default gender change thing and explored that a bit. At one point I looked up to see my transformation in the mirror, and then it hit me "Mirror! I want to find an alien world by walking through a mirror!" I tucked the 2 feet of pipe back in (be jealous boys, be very very jealous), and went to the mirror I was just looking in. Strangely, this wall had several different sized mirrors. I kept deliberating and deliberating over these mirrors, trying to pick the right one. I finally decided on one that was barely big enough to squeeze my head through. But that's what I do, I almost never completely walk through these mirrors, I usually just take a peak first. So I stuck my head thought the little mirror, and I really had to push hard to get it through, and on the other side was what looked like probably just the next room lol. So I took my head back out, and I remembered that I wanted to use different numbers of knocking on the mirror, to act as a combination to get me to different places. I had it all worked out: One knock for werewolves, 2 knocks for vampires, and 3 for an alien world. (I had 1 and 2 totally wrong in the dream lol, I think one was supposed to be to go to Hogwarts, oh well.. the point was to do the 3 knocks). I knocked on the mirror 3 times, and stuck my head through. I saw something really strange. It was a shoreline, and it was entirely populated with these white creatures. They looked like a cross between a beluga whale and a seal. The beach and the water didn't look too strange, but the sky was really cool. The entire right portion was indigo, and the left side was deep blue. Separating these 2 hemispheres was an impossibly tall arch. The base of one side of the arch started in the sand, and it went all the way up to this cloudless sky, and ended in the sea. It looked like it was built by somebody or something. It was 2 toned, purple and white. It didn't look like it had a function, other than dividing the 2 sides of the sky. All I could think of was, "Damn! I need to draw this scene so I can post it on DV!" I was pretty semi-lucid or even non-lucid at this point, and the rest of the dream was me struggling to sketch the beach.

Overall I'm just so happy with the seamless transition, and remembering to do the mirror combination, and actually making it to someplace that clearly wasn't earth. I wish I was good with photoshop or whatever it is you guys use these days, it was a really cool little place.

    3. They're After Me!

      by , 08-10-2012 at 06:00 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
I've been having non lucids lately where murderous people are after me. I'm never all that scared in them, in fact it feels no different than running from someone I'm playing tag with. I mean, I never truly fear for my life, but I do try to get away.

In this dream, a woman had captured me and was holding me hostage in my own house. She was explaining how she wanted to kill me and mutilate my body. And she had bloody body parts from other people scattered around. I was back to being a teenager, because one of my boyfriends, Dave, tried to come over. But the lady told him I wasn't home or something. So as he started walking home, I thought "I need to get out of here. I'm going to get my bike when she's not looking, and ride away!" Oh and side note, I think she already killed my parents. Anyway, she turned and left the room for a moment, so I easily slipped into the garage, opened the door, and started walking my bike into the street. I had a hard time getting my bike going there for a minute, and I was getting that excited/scared feeling you get when you're about to be tagged "it", but I finally got the bike going. I saw Dave half way down the block, and I yelled "Dave!" He stopped walking and turned around, and I hopped off my bike and ran to embrace him. His hair was all wild and red and curly like I remember it being when he was 19. We kissed, and then I broke the kiss and saw that 3 crazed murderous people were right behind him. I screamed!! Then either I woke up briefly or just went into blackness.

The dream restarted, where I was at the police station with Dave and his family. The cops got the bad guys, and Dave's family had graciously decided to let me live with them. Not adoption exactly, just more like becoming my legal guardians. I remember being so excited that I would get to live in the same house as my boyfriend I was given some paperwork to sign, and it was really hard to do! The pen wasn't working well, and I was having a hard time just writing. I became lucid once I realized that I only have this kind of trouble writing when I'm in a dream. But I was too wrapped up in the story, and Dave, to do anything with it. I just went over and hugged his mom, then proceeded to make out with Dave before waking up.

    4. Advanced TOTM - Write a Waking Life Entry into a Journal Inside a Dream (whew!)

      by , 08-09-2012 at 02:14 AM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
Alright I have a TON of notes for this one, because several important things happened to me in the course of about 10 minutes. For time's sake, and the sake of recollection, I'll go straight into describing the dream.

I was dreaming about being in our backyard, and looking at what damage the drought as caused some of the plants. I noticed that one of my bushes had spontaneously grown tomatoes in the center, though it was not a tomato vine. I poked at one. Then I noticed one of the citrus trees looked dry as usual, and the ground surrounding it also dry. But it was mysteriously missing it's little decorative brick border. Also, it was too close to the fence all of the sudden. I looked at the place it should have been, and there was an entirely different plant (like a basket topiary), in its place with the brick border. I thought, "This isn't right, OH I'm dreaming!!" This next moment is extremely important.: Right after becoming lucid, and for the few seconds before remembering that I want to complete a TOTM, I became very aware of the fact that I had only fallen asleep a minute before. And while the transition was by no means perfectly seamless, as there were a few moments where I couldn't account for the time exactly, and I had blacked out a little. I'll explain in a bit why I know how much time had elapsed, and why this is important. Anyway, moving on. I remembered the advanced task of the month almost immediately, as the thought of completing the basic task flashed through my mind. However, I knew I didn't have much time (you'll see why in a minute), and the fact that I was in the garden was going to make it hard to find a pen and paper. So in a panic, I willed something, anything to write with, to appear. A Bic, black ink pen appeared on the ground. YESSSSS I thought. I grabbed it, and not even bothering to look for paper, I tried to write something on my arm. I was able to scratch my arm a little, which hurt, but the ink wouldn't come out or show up on my arm. I wishfully looked at a table on the back porch, and I saw a pice of ripped manilla paper that Chris usually likes to doodle on. Double YESS! I ran and grabbed it, and quickly scribbled on it, and it worked. So I tried to think of something to write from my waking life, and the first thing that popped into my head was "Last night, I cooked chicken for dinner." I even recollected quite clearly the actual dish, as it was something I had never made before. I wanted the sentence to be simple though, and started to write, "Last night, I.." Then I got distracted by some scribbling that was on the top of the paper already. I don't remember what it said, but when I looked back to the sentence I was writing, it was all gibberish. I scratched it out and tried it again, just under my first attempt. Exact thing happened again haha! So this time, I made myself focus on the task. I mean, we're talking pain in the brain, making myself focus on writing this tiny little sentence without getting distracted. I finally got it all written out, and I remember being ecstatic that I completed both tasks within the first week of the month.

Then Danny's snot rocket ritual (in real life) woke me up momentarily. I fell back to sleep, and again lost a little consciousness, and reappeared in the garden. I became instantly lucid again, because all the plants were jacked up in the same way. And this time Jason (RareCola) was there. This is also important for 2 reasons which I'll get to later. I was so excited to see him and show him the "journal". In this second lucid, it actually had grown from a simple piece of ripped paper, to a big book that looked like something that would be on Harry Potter's bookshelf. I opened it to the first page, and there was my waking life entry! Although, it now said "Lst nghnit, I cked CHKN fr dnnr," though imagine that with some Ns and Rs backwards. I explained to Jason that this happens apparently if you look away, then back again, at my journal. Then I turned some pages and there were drawings that Chris had made of bears, and dogs, and other animals. Same magic. If I looked at a bear, then turned the book around, then looked at the bear again, it changed. It looked all poofy, like it got its tail stuck in an electrical outlet. Same thing for each animal drawing, and I showed each one to Jason, who found it remarkable.

At this point in time I think my lucidity became a bit hazy, but then I got it back, or I woke up briefly then fell back to sleep and got lucid again. Which one I can't recall, but I DO recall being lucid again, and going inside the house, being so proud of my TOTM accomplishments. I decided it was time to celebrate, since I couldn't really think of anything else to do. So I summoned a DC and we got it on. I actually awoke from that final lucid, because my DC and I heard a soft buzzing noise. I told him, "Oh that's just Danny in real life, brushing his teeth with the electric toothbrush." Then I woke to the sound of the electric toothbrush.

Now, how did I know exactly how much time had passed in these lucid dreams, and furthermore, how did I know that I had little time before the dream would end? First, we set our alarm this morning for 6:30am. And Danny ALWAYS gets up first (because his bathroom ritual takes about 10 minutes, whereas mine takes 5 or less). At any rate, it's always the same ritual: 1. Peepee for 2 minutes (I swear he has a horse bladder), 2. Snotrockets in the sink (3 minutes), 3. Wash face and comb hair (3 minutes), and 4. Electric toothbrush (2 minutes). Then the bathroom door opens and it's time for me to get up. So, when I first became lucid, I knew it had to be between 6:30 and 6:40, because after the alarm went off and Danny went into the bathroom, I tried to sleep in for those 10 minutes, and I felt some mild vibrations. When Danny's snotrockets woke me up after the first dream, and I went right into the next lucid dream, I know I had maybe 5 minutes left (hair, face, and toothbrush).

Next, why was RareCola's presence so important? First of all, the advanced task was his idea. And it's particularly noteworthy that he just realized in real life, that I don't actually keep a written dream journal (only online). Also, the night before this lucid sequence, Jason and I were talking about the subtle differences between a DEILD chain, and simply having multiple DILDs. I realized that I was really having the latter, because I couldn't honestly recall a single instance where I truly went from conscious wakeful awareness, to a lucid dream, without skipping a beat. There has always been a few moments of time, and fuzziness, and unconsciousness that I couldn't account for. So when I became lucid in that very first DILD, I couldn't help but think of our conversation, and I made that attempt to bring, into this DILD, the analysis of how I became lucid, and of how long it took (which I knew because of Danny's ritual), and of how I could really concretely admit that there was a moment of loss of awareness between those vibrations, and being in the garden and not lucid, then lucid moments later (holy run on sentence batman!).

Finally, I find it truly remarkable, that a DC and I both heard Danny's electric toothbrush, and I had the true, acceptance of what this was. I was in a dream, and my body was in bed, and my sleeping ears were gradually picking up more and more of the sound of his toothbrush in the bathroom. I felt like I existed simultaneously on two planes, if only for a few seconds.

I managed to stuff a shit ton of activities in just 10 minutes!
    5. Basic TOTM - Perform Surgery on a Patient

      by , 08-04-2012 at 12:44 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
I managed to go to bed at 11:45pm, but I don't think I fell asleep until a little after midnight. Then I woke up around 3am, and had trouble getting to sleep (weird heart palpitations, not a racing heart, but it felt like it was doing somersaults in my chest.. not painful, but disturbing and annoying).

What followed next was a series of nonlucids and more importantly, false awakenings. I needed to wake up irl for work by 5am, so I kept dreaming that the alarm had woken us up, or that we slept in, that I suddenly owned a clock radio that kept coming on and Dean Martin was singing Christmas Carols. Finally I had a FA where I had gotten up before Danny (ALWAYS the other way around, and I questioned this), let out the dogs and started getting my food ready for my long work shift. I reached up for something behind the stove, and accidentally knocked a blue pot off it's hook. It fell partway behind the stove, so I'm struggling to get it and hang it back up... when I think to myself "I don't own this blue pot, where the hell did this thing come from?" I kinda stood there for a few seconds, holding the pot, a little confused, then boom! "Abandon this project, I'm dreaming! " I stood in the kitchen, kinda bouncing with excitement, trying to remember the basic TOTM. It hit me right away, "Perform Surgery!!" One issue with this task is if you want to go full on and transport to a hospital, it may take a bit of time and control, and I wasn't sure what time it was irl. The alarm could go off at any moment, so I wanted to waste no time whatsoever. So I went to the living room couch and tried to summon a patient. Nothing. I went to my son's room, hoping to find a patient sleeping in there. I found Chris asleep in there, but no way was I going to perform surgery on him. At no time did I loose lucidity, I even remembered that he was at my mom's irl, but no way am I gonna cut up my son in a dream. And you can cross Danny off that list as well. I went back to the kitchen, trying to figure out what I was going to do, when I glanced at the window and saw the reflection of a man behind me!! I whipped around and it was a tall, slender Hispanic man with a very pallid expression on his face. I asked him right away "Are you here for some surgery?" He said "Yeah." I said, "Well you're in luck, because I'm a wiz with knives," and I proceeded to the kitchen and grabbed my chef knife, fillet knife, and paring knife. I told him to lie on the couch and explain to me what was wrong. He said that a previous doctor had fixed a "kink" in his intestines with a bandaid, and put a little microchip in there as well. I guess to monitor the kink or something. He said the microchip was causing him extraordinary pain and wanted it removed. He laid down on the couch for a moment, then got up and said he was going to his car real quick because he brought his own anesthetic. I told him that's fine, I have some too just in case (I knew I didn't have any, so I was going to just put water in a little flask and will it to work as anesthesia). He came back and said he didn't bring it, so I went to the kitchen and got the water. I held it up and said "I will this water to act as an anesthetic." It didn't look any different, but I didn't care. I wasn't the one who was going to drink it! I gave it to the man and he took a swallow, but choked on it a little bit. Then he took his shirt off and laid back down. It looked like he was drifting off a bit, but he was kinda restless. So I starting rubbing his chest gently, speaking softly, "Sleep, sleeeeeeeeep..." Of course this action produced an erection and I took advantage of it a little bit. I'll skip those details. (I was hoping it would help him pass out!!) It didn't work, he was still conscious. He even asked me if after the surgery, maybe we go out to dinner sometime lol. I said suuuure, why not. He wasn't going completely out, and I was running out of time. So I said I need to start cutting anyway, but he'd be just fine. I held him down with one hand, took the little pairing knife with the other, cringed, and made an incision in his belly. He groaned in pain and tried to sit up, but I pushed him back down. There was no blood. But I could immediately see the loop of intestine with the bandaid. Turned out it was kinda good that he was still conscious, because he was able to talk me through it a bit, and didn't seem to be in pain anymore. (I guess my subC is too squeamish.) I pulled out the little loop of intestine, and noticed the little microchip, which looked more like a tiny stone, sandwiched between 2 of the baindaids. He said just to remove the chip and leave the bandaid, so I did. I was just about to push the intestine back in and sew him back up, when Danny coughed irl and woke me up. Still success! I can't believe I could cut the guy, especially while he was conscious! Surgery went well overall I'd say though.
    6. Texas Tornado To Be

      by , 08-02-2012 at 06:41 AM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
A nonlucid, plagued with obvious dream signs.

I don't remember the onset of this dream, but it seems I was dropped into a story, where I was at my parents' house. I was dressed as a geisha, and my parents had managed to come up with 3 suitors for me for possible marriage one night. I know, geishas don't marry, but this is lame lily white American geisha apparently. My outfit was beautiful though. It looked like a traditional geisha costume/uniform(?). Also, the entire ensemble was made from gold silk peu de sois. I saw my reflection once in the reflection of the bay window in my old bedroom. And my hair looked like this:

      New Avatar-coolhair.jpg

So the suitors. One was Octavio, a baker I used to work with, who looked confused as fuck to be here at this, "suitor competition." The second was Cheech Marin (thanks, mom). And I don't remember the 3rd, but I remember he was also Hispanic. Not that any of this matters to me, I married a man from Venezuela irl. I have no idea why suddenly I was a geisha, betrothed to one of 3 Hispanic men. At any rate, the entire party was stopped short, because a horrible storm began. In the sky, there was a giant patch of gray and black clouds, pouring rain and forming the usual wall clouds. We all remarked at how they would probably form into tornadoes. Then I noticed, in the center of the cloud mass, the shape of Texas, only it was backwards. I rationalized it like this: the storm was aiming for Texas. And from the storm's point of view, the shape of Texas wasn't backwards. It only appeared backwards to us because we were in front of the oncoming storm. Then suddenly we were all in front of my house instead of my parents', and my mom yelled at me "Where's Chris?!" I noticed he was standing under the mimosa, completely drenched from rain water. It was as if the only rain cloud was over him and the tree. I took him inside and it became the interior of my parent's house again. And his baby shoes were all over the floor. I remarked how cute and nostalgic this all was.

    7. Basic TOTM - Drink a Potion

      by , 07-31-2012 at 05:55 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
I had alot of dreams on and off last night and early this morning, because I was sleeping a bit uneasy for some reason. I think it was the light from my laptop, which I ordinarily don't take into the bedroom (but I wanted to watch Linkin Park videos before bed).

I'll go into all the non lucid details later, but I wanted to start with the DILD. Most of my dreams occurred in the same room: a kind of mix between my college dorm room, and a hotel room. I had a false awakening, accompanied with some spooky vibrations type sensations (the kind I usually get when something scary is about to happen). Some voice warned me about 2 hell hounds that were about to come get me. I was scared at first, but as soon as I got out of bed, I started to question if this was a dream. Then they appeared: 2 little shih-tzu type dogs, and they just flew through the air and went all rabid on my left hand. I instantly knew this was a dream, based on similar attacks in my previous FAs, and went from scared to just annoyed. I was shaking my left hand really hard, trying to dislodge their teeth from my flesh. When ever I would get one off, the other would fly to my hand and lock on again. After a couple attempts, I was able to pull them both off by their tails, then I grabbed them both by the neck with the same hand until they stopped writhing. I looked at them in the eyes and said "I am going to attempt the basic task now, and you two are going to calm the fuck down." I've handled bigger and stronger demons than this before, so they just went limp in my hand, and shrunk down to the size of kittens. I lay them down softly on the bed and pet their bellies. The evilness had gone and now I was free to do the task. I remembered immediately to drink a potion, since this was my third attempt this month so I guess it was on the forefront of my mind. I looked around quickly, and on the end table next to the bed was what looked like my entire collection of nail polish bottles. I picked one up, willing it to turn into a potion bottle or something, but nothing happened. I thought to myself, "There's no way I'm drinking a bottle of nail polish, even in a dream." I wanted something better, so I was rummaging through the bottles, knocking some over, when I noticed one of the bottles was somewhat bigger than the normal nail polish sized. I picked it up and it was half-full of a liquid that looked just like listerine. Oh well, better than nail polish haha. I went to the mirror and looked at myself, I didn't look like myself at all, more like an extra tan version of a Kardashian sister. I took the lid off the bottle, and hoped my subconscious would make the contents into a potion, and not mouth wash, though I was doubtful. I took a swig, and the flavor was amazing! It tasted like minty white chocolate, and really smooth and creamy. More like, a melted white chocolate ganache. By far the best dream flavor I ever had, it seemed even more intense than a real life flavor, and that's never happened to me before with anything other than visions and sounds. I was hopeful, but still doubtful that it would do anything. Funny how I can be doubtful and it doesn't matter. I stared at my reflection, and I noticed a wound appear on the side of my nose, on my cheek, and on my chin, all on the left side of my face. They looked like little spots that had gotten really chapped and red, with flaky skin. Then something came out of them, and the best way I can describe this, is that it was kind of like an anti-tattoo. Instead of an ink-colored pattern, it was white, and it began to spread from each of the wounds, decorating my entire face. The design looked like tiny little white thorny vines, coiling around every square inch of my face, with little white roses, and white leaves, until my face was half tanned skin and half thorny vine tattoo. It was really kinda cool looking! It didn't spread beyond my face, so I guess it was done. So I got up and went to the door, hoping that I would stay in the dream long enough to do the advanced task! I got greedy. I went out the door, and the door just across the hall had just opened, and people were filing out. These people looked like they had just finished rehearsing a play or opera, because they were decked out in renaissance costumes. I eyed the group, hoping to find one that could actually be an alien (forgetting completely that it wouldn't have counted as the advanced TOTM because I was still on earth). Then a guy that looked like the lead role, dressed to the nines in a royal blue nobleman costume, made eye contact with me. Loooong, super sexy eye contact. He looked like he recognized me. I just batted my eyelashes and flashed my best smile, and he continued down the hall. I lost lucidity at that point, and the dream phased into a stupid story about Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's divorce.

    8. Little Labyrinth LD

      by , 07-26-2012 at 08:53 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
I was in an office building, much like the one I was in that one time that turned into a labyrinth. I spontaneously became lucid (I think because it was a WBTB, and those usually generate a DILD or DEILD), so I decided to try to leave the building. I could tell it was night, because the building seemed to be deserted, with all the lights off except for the EXIT signs and a few floods. I went out a door, which led to a hall and another door, and so on. I began to get irritated, which was causing me to lose a little of my lucidity, and then I could suddenly hear faint techno music. Like there was a club in the building somewhere. So I tried going through more doors and hallways to find it, each time the music grew louder as if I was getting closer. I started getting a more strong sense of lucidity back, which helped me to focus on the situation. I finally came to a set of double doors, and the music was really loud behind them. I stopped, fully aware that this was a dream, and put my hands on the door, saying "THIS time, I will open the doors, and the party will be on the other side." I pushed them open, and sure enough, there was a lame little party there. Loud music, but only 3 people that I could see in the small room. A table with some punch and plates, and a few chairs, and a small orange sofa. Craig from high school was sitting on the couch, so I sat by him. I was hoping he wouldn't be a psycho and flip out on me like he did irl in HS, but he seemed more calm, like he was when I bumped into him later in life. He kinda snuggled next to me, so I took his hand. I lightly massaged his thumb with mine, then I don't remember anything else.

Later, I dreamed about being on my bike again. This time it was my normal bike, and it rode like a normal bike and not the flying one from the other night. Funny thing is, the whole bike ride was pretty much exactly like the bike ride I had yesterday evening in real life. Even the part where I went over a tiny pothole. See I tried to swerve to miss it, but it was too late and I went over it anyway. But the suspension on my bike rocks, so it went over real smooth, both irl and in the dream. I'm guessing that, since I rode my bike yesterday when it was dusk, just a little light, and not many people or cars out, it was very surreal and dream like. Going to have to start doing RCs on my bike now I'm guessing

    9. My Bike May Be Small, But He's Scrappy!

      by , 07-25-2012 at 01:02 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
      Some more nonlucids:

      • I don't know WHY, but apparently I was roommates with some old coworkers of mine: Rich and Daniel. I shared a room with Rich. A bed even. Yuck. And for some weird reason when we went to bed, I thought it would be cute/funny to grab his butt. Double Yuck. Anyway that pissed him off so he jumped out of bed while still holding on to the top cover, in which I was somehow entangled, so it pulled me across the bed onto the floor. I landed on my butt and said "Yeah, I suppose I deserved that." Then he turned on the light and left the room. I felt so shitty. So I got back into bed and got under the 2nd layer of covers, lied down on my stomach with a pillow over my head like I always like to do. Finally I had the sense that Rich came back into the room, and was just standing over the bed, as if he was thinking of something to say to me. Then FINALLY the lights went out, and I could tell he was in the bed again and back to sleep. Weird thing: I woke up, but I felt kinda like there was no transition. I was in the exact same position and everything, and still feeling relieved that he went back to bed after my faux pas. I felt that way for maybe 4 seconds, then I thought, wait a minute, I live with my boyfriend Danny, and our kids! None of that happened, it was all just a dream. I can't believe it took that long to realize that. So then I was super duper relieved. So weird.
      • I dreamed that I lived just a couple miles from work again, and so I decided I wanted to take my bike to work. This kinda classified as a FA because I remember waking up in the bed and it was light out, but I thought we had to get up at 5am to go to work (which was true irl). But Danny said, no it's ok, I'm off today. It's about 6am so you have a couple hours to get to work if you want to ride your bike. So I got ready and went outside to unlock my bike from the bike rack in an apartment complex that we no longer live in irl. I fumbled with the lock a bit, a normal device issue in dreams that SHOULD have sparked lucidity. Anyway, it's one of those letter combination locks which has 4 spaces. Of course mine is a 4-letter-word if ya know what I mean. So I finally got the brown word to work and the lock opened. And for some reason, this was now my bike:
how many have you topped out at?-speedway_express_trike_1200r_with_trailer__55383_zoom.jpg
Basically that, but yellow I think, and the trailer was longer and wire frame. I had a moment of thought like, "I don't want my coworkers seeing me pull up in this shit." But I took off with it anyway. And man, I don't remember those 3 miles having all those stairs and drops and shit, but there they were, and the bike took it like a champ! I practically flew up this nearly vertical set of green stairs. Then I was soaring through a parking garage, and this guy sitting in the corner and smoking said to me as I zoomed past "Watch out, there's a huge drop off" but it was too late. I dropped off but I was ok. That's all I remember from that dream. It was a fun ride though!
      • I was at a restaurant and I was a guy, and I was royally hitting on this one chick. I sat down next to her and I was fully prepared to start nibbling on her neck and ears and god knows what else and that's all I remember from that one.

    10. Non Lucids with Control

      by , 07-24-2012 at 07:52 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
I've been having some frustrating dreams lately. Non lucids with high levels of control, low regard for consequences, but no lucidity. I even have been getting pretty frequent and intense vibrations. I just can't figure out exactly what's missing.

Anyway, early this morning I woke up at 7am and had really strong vibrations, but I just couldn't sink into them. They were more just, jolting. I took 2 5-htp last night too.. cheaters never prosper.. or rarely do? At any rate, here are the non lucid bits I remember:

      • I went outside to check on my garden. It was really really foggy. I couldn't see past 1 block either direction. I noticed my mimosa tree was having some issues, like it was growing up at an acute angle. I lifted it slightly, then looked around for a stick or branch that I could prop it up with. Then I noticed people emerging from the thick fog down the road. I didn't know if they were neighbors or what! I started to panic, and I let go of the tree. It flopped all the way over and rested on the ground. I could see where it was severely bent at the trunk, but not damaged (mimosa trees are really flexible.. should have seen that sucker during that last hail storm, I thought I was gonna loose it!). I ran-climbed up an oak tree, trying to focus on the people emerging from the fog. Then I heard my son say "Hey mom, whatcha doing?" Then I looked back at the people, and they were just the neighbors doing yardwork. I got out of the tree and went to the driveway, when Chris suddenly ran at me all hyper like he does, talking a mile an hour. I snapped my fingers and said "AH! Turn around, go back to where you started, and walk toward me slowly, speaking clearly." We had to do this a couple times before he got it right, just like in real life. Then a lady came at me doing the same thing, which also took several tries to get her to shill the fuck out. She looked like that alien in mel's avatar lol. That's all I remember from that one.
      • Then I had had a m-f-ing FA. I can't believe it, I haven't had one of those in ages that at least didn't turn into a brief lucid. Anyway, I got out of bed because Chris wanted his friend Jordan to come over and play. He was already in the living room, playing x-box, and fighting like they always do irl. I pointed at both of them and spoke loudly "If you two do not stop fighting, the x-box turns off, and Jordan goes home." As I said this, the boys cowered and shrunk down to the size of 3-years-olds. before I could even ponder this, my cat Ziggy woke me up irl.

There were some other tidbits but I forgot them.

    11. Some Nonlucid Dreamettes

      • One dream where easter was ALL fucked up: not enough bees apparently, so the spring flowers were a bit trim all around. There was also an easter candy shortage which just pissed me right the hell off
      • Then me and Danny had a stupid fight (which should have made me lucid because we never fight irl, not like that), and then he gradually morphed into my first husband. I remember thinking at that moment, how unusually mature my first husband was behaving (which was because he was still Danny on the inside I'm guessing).
      • A quick peak at the space jockeys from Prometheus and Alien. I also have the distinct feeling that one tried to have sex with me, but was having trouble with his aim (because in his world, they had engineered the women into oblivion, and only males existed. They created more males in labs, but there was no more sex because there were no more women. Until they met me. And there must have been some kind of hyper-awareness on their part, because they could sense my pheromones on a really high level, which switched back on their natural desire to reproduce. I apparently didn't mind lol. I admit I'm connecting the dots a bit here, I just remember briefly having this knowledge in the brief moment that I was with one them. I remember specifically having to angle my hips a little because his aim was slightly to the left. He had no idea where he was going. I'm ready for this advanced TOTM already. So much to teach them ).

    12. The Coy Pond and The Big Book if Urine

      by , 07-20-2012 at 10:36 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
      A few non-lucids:

I was out in the backyard, trying to drain the coy pond, while Danny was napping and Chris was playing xbox. Somehow, I was using the regular water hose to drain it, instead of the water pump. I remember I wanted to leave it on a trickle so he couldn't hear the water running (he can always hear it from the bedroom). So I left it on a trickle, then I heard a big boom of thunder. I looked up but only saw blue sky and a few puffy white clouds.. the house must be blocking the thunderheads. So I walked around the house and I could see some more gray, thicker clouds. I kept walking around until I could see really dark, ominous looking rain clouds. Then I heard "LeeeeeeeeeeSaaaaaaaaa" and I knew what he wanted. "Ok, I'm gonna turn off the water noooooow!" Must have taken me 5 minutes to turn the water off: ever time it felt like it was tightened in the off position, it got loose again and water would start coming out again. I finally got it and went inside. Danny was still in bed, but had just woken up. He started delegating chores for Chris to do.

Earlier in the dream, I got a really great deal on some rib-eye steaks and ribs and chicken, so I started cooking them for dinner. I remember the steaks were something like $10 a pound, and I got 6 good size ones, and it came out to $10. Some how ALL 6 of those rib-eye steaks (bone in even!) came out to only $10. Saweeeeeet. Danny helped himself to the ribs while I cooked the other stuff.

And even earlier than that, I dreamed that we got a package from Danny's aunt Ruth. It was addressed to me, but very difficult to read the handwriting. It was a book wrapped in christmas paper, with a christmas card, even though it was in the middle of summer. I opened the present, and it was a huge book titled "URINE". I asked Danny "Are you suuuure Ruth meant to send this to us?" He said "It seems so."

Random, senseless non-lucidity. It was all really vivid though, and I need to be better about recording my non lucids. Also noteworthy: the house looked nothing like our house irl. The back yard kinda did, but the kitchen and livingroom were really bright, though the bedroom was much darker.

    13. Some Musical Dreams

      by , 06-25-2012 at 09:31 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
The other day I did a WBTB and I had terrific vibrations that I could control with my thumbs again. And there was a soft weight on my chest, kind of like when a cat sleeps on you. It made me so comfortable, and easy to slip back to sleep without feeling the need to move or rollover. But I slipped into a non lucid about being in a musical with a coworker, and she knew all the lines and staging but I didn't know any of it. So I kind of depended on her to help me. The music in this musical contained parts from ABBA's Dancing Queen, and Cyndi Lauper's True Colors. What a stupid show haha.

Then last night I had a non lucid about this really interesting snake. It was really really big, and ivory colored, and was hiding in the bushes outside a grocery store. It seemed kind of friendly, so I decided to do a snake charming routine, to lure it out of the bushes and save it basically. The song I used to charm it was (DON'T LAUGH) the trololo song. Ok you can laugh. It worked, and he came out, but suddenly some weird man was coming after me, and I started spinning and my body was all horizontal and weird all of the sudden. Then I was lying on the ground. All I could see then was the man's legs, as he walked off. He didn't get the snake though (I guess he just didn't like the trololo song haha), so I was able to get the snake myself and pick him up quite easily. I tried to will it to coil around my body, but instead he turned into something more lizard-like, and he seemed uncomfortable with the whole thing. So he just plopped on the ground and stayed in the grass. Then I woke up, with trololo still in my head at that moment, and for several hours after I got up.

    14. Gold Chewing

      by , 06-19-2012 at 09:59 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
For some reason in my non-lucid today (during a nap), taking some old gold jewelry and chewing on it made perfect culinary sense. As I was chewing it, I remember thinking "I can't wait for that flavor to kick in." You'd think I was eating a white truffle or something hehe. Talk about cohesive flow!

    15. Basic TOTM - Walk Through Mirrors

      by , 06-14-2012 at 05:49 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
This one's going to be a doozy, mainly because I had long DEILD chain, and I can't remember everything in perfect order, but I'll do my best. First I want to admit, that I took a 5-HTP last night before bed, around 1am. This is after not taking it for about 2 weeks I think? I woke up the first time at about 7:15am when Danny got home from his night shift. He had to take his daughter to her mom's, and they left the house at about 8:30am, which woke me up again for a moment and I think that's when I went pee. I woke up again around 9 or 9:30, and that's when the crazy vibrations started.

These were so odd. First, the vibrations were all over my body, and had a really strong electrical feeling.. not to the point of uncomfortable, but almost. And they came in waves. At the height of the waves the first few times, it was accompanied by the most horrific screaming.. like a man who was a combination of psychotic, homicidal, and in maximum pain. It was horrible. But I knew it wasn't real, and it would fade eventually. After a few seconds, the waves were just vibrations, but I could control them with just my thumbs. Kind of hard to explain, but when ever the vibrations would subside, I could intensify them by curling my thumbs in. I've been able to do this in the past with just my mind, but this is the first time I could with bodyparts. Kinda cool. I was getting a little frustrated though, because the last 3 times I've had the vibrations, no Julio and no DEILD. just vibrations then oblivion. So I just kept curling my thumbs and hoping for the best.

Finally I felt like some time had suddenly passed, and I was just lying in bed thinking of nothing, but I felt weird, like it could be a dream. I looked at my thumbs, which still had the tingly feeling form being connected to those vibrations. They looked all mangled and contorted, so I knew it was a dream! First thing I did was get out of bed, and TOTM immediately popped into my mind. Mirror time (I was so excited). I went to the hall bathroom, pitch black and the light switch didn't work (ffffuuuuuuu). Neither did clapping, shouting, gnawing hacking biting breaking burning (/LOTR). So I crawled up on the sink, opened the glass cover of the lights, beat the shit out of the lights until they came on, replaced the cover, and got back down. Nothing like a little lucid brute force . I looked in the mirror.. it looked like me but the hair was wrong. Anyway, I just pushed my head through the glass, and there was quick moment of feeling like I was sticking my head through a membrane of water, then I could see. My head and torso pushed through the membrane and appeared on the 2nd story balcony of a loft apartment, overlooking a restaurant by the ocean. I remember the rails on the balcony were unusual, they were the first thing I saw and noted. Anyway, there were 4 people sitting at the outside table of the restaurant. I yelled at them "Hey, where am I?" One lady yelled back at bit rudely "This is the FLORIDA KEYS!" I thought it was pretty cool, but kinda uninteresting. It was a cloudy day, and looked more like a dirtyish city than some tropical islands. So I popped back out of the mirror (I never went fully through).

I saw my reflection again, and was excited because I succeeded AND because I was still lucid and hadn't woken up yet! I went back through the mirror again, only partially again, half expecting to see the same scene, half hoping it would be different. The front half of my body passed through the mirror again, and this time appeared inside a building. It was some kind of animal rescue or vet for exotic birds. There were no cages, just giant glass rooms. The place looked like it was funded pretty well, all clean and spacious. There were parrots and cockatiels and cockatoos, and birds of every color of the rainbow. And it sounded like I was in a rainforest with all the bird sounds. Some didn't fly, and just kinda walked around. I guess they were rescues who'd had their wings clipped. I'm not much of a bird person, so I left again.

I think this is where I woke up and went back to sleep. Hard to remember, I may have in between the other 2 experiences too. I know I woke up and went back to sleep at least 2 more times, because I remember getting out of bed and thinking "YES I'm still DEILDing" a couple more times. I'm just fuzzy on the order, sorry about that. I had more luck with bathroom lights from here on though. I remember walking down the hall, and the bathroom door was closed. But I could see light peeking under the door. Thank you subconscious. I opened the door, plenty of light, and looked in the mirror. I noticed 2 cats I used to have were sitting on the bathroom sink, Henunu and Gepiepe. I gave them a few pats, then returned to the mirror. I pushed my head through and saw a really pretty creek that reminded me of the Guadalupe River, with lots of Cypress trees. And it was a beautiful, cool sunny day. I wanted to go all the way through and explore, but then I noticed the water. It was all green and murky, and looked too deep for the creek size. I said "HELL no" and popped back out. Then I thought, "Chicken." So I went back in, only partially (I have to remark at how easy it was to pass through the glass each time.. I had expected some resistance, but it was just like liquid. More thick than water, kind of like a gel), and I saw the same scene. I looked down, and I was right over the bank, and there were rocks below. So I picked up some rocks and threw them at the water to see if anything creepy would stir. I didn't notice anything, so I went completely through for the first time. I picked up the largest rock and carried it with me, just in case hehe. I just walked along the bank, and looked at the ground and the remarkable cypress roots, avoiding the water. Then I woke up.

Again, hard to remember the exact order, but I remember going through 3 more times. I peeked through the mirror and found myself looking at the back of some chairs in a restaurant. It looked like teatime... oooo fancy! So I went through and sat at a table with 3 other women. They were passing around a menu and ordering tea sandwiches. I was the last one to get the menu, and before I could place my order, the first lady grabbed it out of my hands! Obnoxious looking rich blonde bitch. She said "Oh I'd like to go ahead and place my order for tomorrow as well." I yanked it right back out of her hands and said "Give me that back!" Then I just kinda looked at her for a minute, and she looked down. I said "This is stupid." And I got up and went to the bathroom, specifically with looking for a mirror in mind. There were several mirrors in the pretty little restaurant bathroom. I took the smallest one off the wall, it was just a thin rectangular mirror, trying to figure out how I was going to get through it. Then I heard a voice on the other side of the bathroom.. it was a lady sitting in a chair. She said "That bigger mirror would probably be better." Haha. So right. So I went through that one and found myself back on that 2nd story loft again, overlooking that restaurant again. The same rude lady was at the same table with her same friends, and she saw me and said "Yes, it's still the Florida Keys." And I screamed back at her "YEHAAAW!! THE FLORIDA FUCKING KEYS, HELL YEAHHHH!!" and came back out of the mirror.

I went in one last time, from that same mirror I think, and came out in the most boring looking residential area I had ever seen. I thought, meh, why not. I walked around but the place seemed deserted. I went inside one house and didn't' see anyone. I started getting randy of course.. tis a side effect of lucidity for me I'm afraid. But since I was alone, I decided that I wanted to really see what my anatomy looked like when it changed to male parts. I won't go into detail, but I was looking in a full length mirror in one of the bedrooms, and I saw an awful lot. Finally a guy showed up a bit later and we had sex but I woke up half way through.

      The End, shit.
